Walter Schneider
Walter Schneider, 82, formerly of Hebron, ND died Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at the St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson.
His funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4 at the St. Luke’s Home Chapel, Dickinson, with Rev. David Ling officiating.
Interment was in the First Baptist Cemetery, Hebron.
Walter Schneider was born January 20, 1924 at Hebron, ND, the son of August and Sophie (Heinle) Schneider. He was raised and educated in Hebron.
He worked in construction for most of his life and due to health problems he retired. He became a resident of the St. Luke’s Home in 1990.
Walter enjoyed making things from scraps of wood, enjoyed listening to music and when they were out and about a stop at McDonalds was needed. Walter especially loved children and helping others whenever possible.
He will be remembered as a man with a kind and big heart.
Walter is survived by three brothers, Reuben (Helen) Schneider, Hebron, Harold (Verna) Schneider, Enumclaw, WA and Raymond (Agnes) Schneider, Glen Ullin.
He also leaves several nieces and nephews and his special friends, Diane and Emanuel Auch, Dickinson.
His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the activities department at the St. Luke’s Home in memory of Walter.
Arrangements were by Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.

Kasper Riedinger
Kasper Riedinger, 77, Glen Ullin, died Friday, February 24, 2006 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Kasper was born at Glen Ullin June 6, 1928, the son of Francis and Christina (Braun) Riedinger. He is survived by two sisters - Evelyn Riedinger and Maggie Riedinger, both of Spokane WA.

Alicia Prouty
Alicia Marie Prouty, 18, Richardton, died Sunday, February 19, 2006 at her rural Richardton residence.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2006 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton with Fr. Boniface Muggli, O.S.B. celebrating.
Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Richardton.
Alicia Marie Prouty was born July 23, 1987 to Duane and Ruth Prouty. She was raised in Richardton and graduated from the Richardton High School. She attended Bismarck State College and was currently living and working in Bismarck.
Alicia enjoyed horseback riding, writing poetry, working on her art, playing volleyball, singing, attending car shows and spending time with her family and friends.
Alicia is survived by: her parents Duane and Ruth Prouty, Richardton and three sisters, Melissa Sletmoe, Fargo, ND, Michelle Prouty, Sioux Falls, SD and Julie (Jeremiah) Dukart, Bismarck.
She also leaves her grandmother, Grace Prouty, St. John, ND and several uncles and aunts.
Her two grandfathers, Lyle Prouty and Fred Enderle and one grandmother, Julia Enderle preceded her in death.

Bob Sendinger
A funeral service for Bob Sendlinger was held Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 10 a.m. in the Burne Mortuary Chapel, Pendleton, OR.
A private burial was later held.
Mr. Sendlinger died at the St. Anthony Hospital Sunday, February 12, 2006 at the age of 79.
Bob was born October 1, 1926 in Mosier, OR to William and Laura Hads Sendlinger. He graduated from Mosier High School and worked as a millwright for Sunshine Biscuit Co.
He enlisted in the U.S.Army. During his years in the army he played trombone in the 87th Infantry band in Germany where he was stationed.
Bob married Dorothy Crowley in 1954 in The Dalles, OR. Dorothy had come to Oregon from North Dakota to teach school in Dufur, OR.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy and three sons – Kurt, Pendleton, OR, Paul, Hermiston, OR and Shawn, Durham, NC. He also leaves four grandchildren.

John Goetz
John Goetz, 37, Hebron, died Thursday, February 16, 2006 at his home in Hebron.
Burial of ashes was held in the St. John Cemetery in Hebron Thursday, February 23 at 12:30 p.m. His memorial service was held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 23 at the St. John Church, Hebron.
John Victor Goetz was born May 8, 1968 in Richardton, ND, the son of Victor and Gail (Schroeder) Goetz.
He was raised at Halliday where he began his education. The family moved to a ranch north of Hebron in 1979.
John graduated from the Hebron High School in 1986. He attended Bismarck State College and farmed and ranched with his father. He returned to Bismarck State College where he studied Power Plant Technology and secured employment at Dakota Gasification Company.
He returned to the ranch after several years.
John’s favorite pastime was hunting pheasant, deer and calling coyote.
He is survived by his parents, Victor and Gail Goetz, Hebron, ND and his brother Troy, Bismarck.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
In lieu of flowers the family preferred memorials be sent to the OCD Foundation, Inc., Box 9573, New Haven, CT 06535.

Joseph Berger
Joseph Berger, 78, Dickinson, formerly of the Hebron area died Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson.
Joseph’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at the St. Ann Catholic Church, Hebron with Fr. Sebastian Schmidt, OSB as the celebrant.
Interment will follow at the Saint Peter and Paul Cemetery south of Hebron.
Joseph Berger was born February 13, 1928 on the family farm near Hebron, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Yantzer) Berger.
He was raised and educated in the Hebron area. Joseph married Florence Schaaf on June 12, 1950 at the Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church south of Hebron.
Joe had worked for the railroad for several years, on various farms in North Dakota and Montana and for a period of time as a cook at the Beanery in Glendive, MT.
They moved to a farm south of Hebron and in 1962 to the Hirning place across the river where he farmed and worked construction until moving to Dickinson in 2005.
Joe belonged to the Morton County Sheriff Posse, the Glen Ullin Saddle Club and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed playing cards (especially pinochle), attending rodeos because of his special love for horses and cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Florence and five children, Joey (René) Berger, Belfield, Bill (Ruth) Berger, Dickinson, Laura (Don) Temple, Dickinson, Valerie (Kevin) Frey, Dickinson and Bob (Danel) Berger, Richardton.
He leaves one daughter-in-law, Bev Berger, Richardton; 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, his twin Josephine Kuntz, Rock Springs, WY and Catherine Kearnes, Richardton and two brothers - Jake (Clara) Berger, Hebron and Peter Berger, Hebron.
His parents, two sons - Charles and Jim, four sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
Arrangements are with Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.

Janyce Wallin Kunz
Janyce Wallin Kunz, 67, Redmond, UT passed away Friday, July 7, 2006 at her home.
She was born September 21, 1938 in Bismarck, ND. She was the daughter of George Paul Sr. and Ruth Adeling Roanrud Wallin.
Janyce was the youngest of five children. Her older siblings are still living. They are Beatrice Graham, CA, Keith (Harriet) Wallin, Hebron, ND, Lavonne (Paul) Althoff, CO and George (Virginia) Wallin, UT.
Janyce was the mother of three sons – David, Robert and Michael Summers. She is survived by her husband, John Taylor Kunz, Redmond and a large extended family whom she dearly loved and who loved her as their own mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Jan enjoyed canning vegetables out of John’s garden and scrap booking pictures of her family and friends. Jan touched so many lives with her love.
We wish to thank all those who helped in this time of great need. She loved you all for that.
Her funeral service was held Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Redmond 1st LDS Ward Chapel.
Burial was in the Redmond Cemetery.
