Evangeline Wagner
Evangeline Wagner, 86, Glen Ullin, died Monday, July 31, 2006 at the Marian Manor Health Care Center in Glen Ullin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin with the Rev. Sebastian Schmidt as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Clement Cemetery, rural Glen Ullin. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.
Evangeline was born March 15, 1920 on the family homestead in the Haymarsh area, the daughter of Anton and Frances (Kastner) Wagner.
She was raised on the homestead and educated at the St. Clement School.
She moved into Glen Ullin in 1949 and worked at Hardware Hank and at the Geck Clothing Store.
Evangeline enjoyed gardening, flowers and creating drawings and painting them.
She entered the Marian Manor Healthcare Center in May of 2003.
She is survived a sister-in-law, Eleanor Wagner, Glen Ullin and a brother-in-law, George Wambold, Lacey, WA.
She also leaves 10 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers - Alvin and Clarence and a sister Hilaria.
Spangelo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Ray Cook
Rev. Raymond Cook, Sr., 93, Bismarck, died July 8, 2006 at the Baptist Home in Bismarck, ND.
His funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 19 at the Baptist Home Chapel, Bismarck.
Burial will be in the United Methodist Cemetery, Hebron.
Raymond Earl Cook was born May 4, 1913 in Mattoon, IL. He grew up in Minnesota. While attending St. Paul Bible Institute (Crown College) he met Helen Cornelius and they were married in 1935.
In 1938 they left for missionary work in the Republic of Gabon, Africa, under the Christian and Missionary Alliance. During their furloughs from Gabon the Cooks lived in St. Paul, MN.
After serving in Gabon for nearly 30 years they worked for St. Paul Bible College and in property management.
They retired to Fort Myers, FL in 1984 and moved to Bismarck in 1995.
After his beloved Helen died Raymond married a special lady, Wilma Elmer of Bismarck.
Wilma preceded Raymond in death on June 26 of this year.
Raymond is survived by two daughters - Rae Joyce (John) Marsyla, Bonita Springs, FL and Earlyne (Clyde) Leimberer, Bismarck, ND and a son, Raymond Earl (Rose) Cook, Jr., Bridgeville, PA.
He also leaves ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and two sisters - Jeannette Root, Yankton, SD and Bette Jean Kirchner, Olathe, KS and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wives Helen and Wilma, his sister, Lois Gowdy and two grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck.

Raymond Cook
Raymond Cook, 93, Bismarck, died Saturday, July 8. He was the husband of the late Wilma Elmer Cook.
His funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the Baptist Home Chapel in Bismarck.
Further arrangements are pending.

Wilma Elmer Cook
Wilma Elmer Cook, 83, Bismarck, died June 26, 2006 at a local care center.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 30 at Bismarck Evangelical Church with the Rev. Scott Jordan officiating.
Burial was the same day at 2:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Cemetery, Hebron.
Wilma Marie Elmer was born January 26, 1923 in Hebron, ND, the fourth child of John and Emilie (Wildi) Elmer. She was raised and educated in Hebron and graduated from Hebron High School in 1941.
Wilma graduated from Westmar College, LeMars, IA in 1946 with a degree in elementary education.
Her teaching career included teaching in a country school near Richardton, in the Elgin School, in several schools in Bismarck, and for more than 20 years in Hebron. She lived with and cared for her parents in Hebron until they passed away.
In 1975, Wilma moved to Portland, OR where she was the assistant librarian at Western Evangelical Seminary for eight years. She then worked as a Senior Companion in the Portland area for three years before moving back to Bismarck, in 1986.
In Bismarck she worked as a Senior Companion and for Professional Home Care, as well as being involved in many volunteer activities.
She was a member of the Bismarck Evangelical Church and was active in choir, Sunday School and the Women’s Missionary Group. She was also a member of the Retired Teachers’ Association.
Wilma married Rev. Raymond Cook May 5, 2001 and became an instant grandmother! Wilma is remembered as a loving woman with an amazing memory for people, names and even birthdays.
She was a gifted teacher, a devoted caregiver, a wonderful baker, a talented musician, and an encourager, who had something good to say about everyone. She loved children, and much joy was brought into her life by her nieces and nephews, her step-grandchildren, and her many students.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Raymond, Bismarck; two step-daughters, Earlyne (Clyde) Leimberer, Bismarck and Rae Joyce (John) Marsyla, Bonita Springs, FL; one step-son, Raymond, Jr. (Rose) Cook, Bridgeville, PA; one sister, Ruth Elmer, Bismarck; one brother, Harold (Alma) Elmer, Hilo, HI; one sister-in-law, Viola Elmer, Bismarck; many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren and her many students.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Esther Lawson and Helen Unruh and one brother, Rev. Walter Elmer.
Eastgate Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Holly Schirado
Hollis Schirado, known to everyone as Holly, 80, of Glen Ullin died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the Marian Manor Healthcare Center in Glen Ullin.
Her funeral service was held Saturday, July 8 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Glen Ullin. Rev. Loren Strum officiated.
Burial was in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan, Monday, July 10 at 10 a.m.
Holly was born October 26, 1925 at Golden Valley, ND, a daughter of Emanuel and Amelia (Seiler) Herman.
She was raised and educated in the Beulah area. She met Harry Schirado in Beulah and they were married December 16, 1945 at Beulah.
Holly worked for a while in the kitchen at the Glen Ullin School.
She loved her garden, canning and enjoyed sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends.
Holly will be greatly missed by her son Harry Dean, Glen Ullin; her daughter, Renae Poitra, Dickinson, ND and one grandson, Chad Doll, Limon, CO.
She also leaves to mourn two sisters - Opal Bates, Billings, MT and Delilah Seise, Phoenix, AZ.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Harry on September 20, 2005, four brothers - Emil, Elroy, Ozzie, and Forrest and three sisters - Violet, Fern, and Shirley.
Spangelo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Emil Fandrich
Emil Fandrich, 72, Richardton, ND, died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton with Fr. Boniface Muggli, OSB presiding.
Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Hope Congregational Cemetery, Golden Valley, ND.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Emil Fandrich was born October 24, 1933 on the family farm north of Golden Valley, ND in Mercer County. He was the son of Benjamin and Mary (Mueller) Fandrich.
He was raised and educated in the Golden Valley area where he farmed with his family and then on his own. In 1970 he purchased a farm south of Dodge and continued to live there until the time of his death.
Emil married Roberta Greenshields June 28, 1975 at the Congregational Church in Zap, ND. They lived, farmed and raised their family south of Dodge.
Emil did some trucking from the late 1990’s until the time of his death.
He was a member of the Halliday Rural Fire Department and recently had been serving on the Dunn County Historical Society board. He enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle and truly cherished the time he was able to spend with his children and grandchildren.
Emil is survived by his wife, Roberta and seven children - Doug (Gretchen Anderson) Hauck, Richardton, ND, Samuel (Jessi) Fandrich, Forman, ND, Karla Fandrich, Williston, ND, Jessica Fandrich, Crookston, MN, Thomas Fandrich, Lisa Fandrich and Carrie Fandrich, all at home.
He also leaves two grandsons, Bret and Brodie, three sisters, Emma (Glenn) Hinshaw, Dickinson, Wilma Kling, Killdeer and Irene (Rueben) Mjolhus, Dunn Center and one brother, Norman (Elizabeth) Fandrich, Golden Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ewald, a sister, Alma Reeb and a son, Mark.
Arrangements are with Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.
