GLEN ULLIN -- Kathryn Heinle, 93, Glen Ullin, died Aug. 12, 1996, in the Glen Ullin nursing home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. MDT Saturday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Hebron, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by three daughters, Janet Sayler, Hebron, Elda Kitzan, Stevensville, Mont., and June Glass, Hebron; two sisters, Louise Heinle, Hebron, and Bertha Boschee, Spokane, Wash.; and two brothers, Lynn Kindsvogel, Tilamook, Ore., and Ned Kindsvogel, Bismarck. Matilda Knutson
LAMOURE -- Matilda Good-Knutson, 97, Tacoma, Wash., formerly of LaMoure, died Aug. 12, 1996, in Tacoma. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zoar Lutheran Church, LaMoure. Further arrangements are pending at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, LaMoure.

Delvin Trehus
Delvin L. Trehus, 74, Mandan, died Aug. 13, 1996, in his home. Arrangements are pending at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.

Barbara Weigel
NAPOLEON -- Barbara Weigel, 85, Napoleon, died Aug. 13, 1996, in the Wishek hospital. Arrangements are pending at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon.

Alfred Behrens
Alfred W. Behrens Sr., 73, Bismarck, died Aug. 12, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Savior's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, where a prayer service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services.

Alfred Behrens
Alfred W. "Al" Behrens Sr., 73, Bismarck, died Aug. 12, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Savior's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Carl Lindemann officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, and will continue at the church one hour before services. A prayer service will begin at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Alfred W. was born Oct. 18, 1922, in Flasher, the son of George and Ella (Brueggemann) Behrens. He grew up in rural Mandan and graduated from Mandan High School in 1940. After graduation, Al was employed as a salesman with Gamble Robinson and transferred to Minot. He married Donna Steckler June 13, 1945, in Mandan. They owned Corner Grocery Store in Bismarck for one year. In 1947, Al began a distinguished 38-year career with Montana-Dakota Utilities as manager of special marketing. Since his retirement in 1985, Al was able to enjoy many hours of gardening with much success.

Al was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Bismarck. During his lifetime he taught Sunday school and held various church offices. In 1981, Al was inducted into the Bismarck-Mandan Bowlers Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; one son and daughter-in-law, Al Jr. and Linda; one grandson, Brent; and two granddaughters, Adrienne and Stacy, all of Bismarck.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Georgia Martin
Georgia G. Martin, 77, 2404 N. Fourth St., died Aug. 14, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eastgate Funeral Service, with the Rev. Peary Wilson officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Rolling Green Cemetery, rural Minot.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and will continue Saturday at the funeral home.

Georgia G. Matthews was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Grand Junction, Colo. She was raised and educated at Grand Junction. Georgia met Henry Martin in Billings, Mont., while working at the Northern Hotel. They were married June 5, 1953, in Billings. Georgia also worked as a dental assistant for a number of years. They lived in Billings for 21 years, before moving to Bismarck.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband while he covered his sales territory. She also enjoyed crocheting afghans. Georgia was also very talented in arts and crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Henry; one son, Terry, Beulah; three grandchildren, Nichole and Ashley Martin, Killdeer, and Travis Martin, Milwaukee; one sister, Donna Parrott, Kalispell, Mont.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister.

Pauline Zent
Pauline F. Zent, 78, 624 S. 14th St., died Aug. 13, 1996, at her home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with the Rev. Charlie Heidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Bismarck.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at Dakota Memorial Chapel, 122 E. Rosser Ave., Bismarck, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 tonight.

Pauline Koch was born April 15, 1918, in Stark County, the daughter of John and Katherine (Staudinger) Koch. She was raised and educated in rural schools near South Heart. In 1939 she moved to Bismarck. She married Matt Zent, May 30, 1942, in Mandan. They lived in Mandan until 1959 when they moved to Bismarck.

Pauline enjoyed quilting, craft work, playing cards and gardening. She had a special talent for growing exquisite flowers, and enjoyed tending her gardens.

She is survived by her husband, Matt; four sisters, Tillie Hauck, Richardton, Mary Schmidt, Mott, Florence Forster and Agnes Kemp, both of Dalavin, Wis.; and two brothers, Joseph Koch, Fargo, and Theodore Koch, Janesville, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Valentine and Leo Koch.

The family prefers memorials to the donor's choice.

Karen Senger
Karen I. Senger, 53, Fairborn, Ohio, died Aug. 3, 1996, in a Dayton, Ohio, hospice.

Karen was born Aug. 28, 1942, in Bismarck to Joe and Agnes Bride. A 1960 graduate of Bismarck High School, Karen retired in 1989 after 20 years as a pharmaceutical assistant at Medcenter One in Bismarck.

She is survived by her husband, Roy; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kevin, Denver, and Kyle and Wendy, Fort Collins, Colo.; two granddaughters, Amber and Krystal Senger, Denver; two brothers, Joe Bride, Dover, Ark., and Kenneth Bride, Bismarck; and two sisters, Marlys, Bismarck, and Cheryl, Dover.

She was preceded in death by her mother; father; and two brothers.

Edward Carter
Edward D. Carter, 72, 1103 Second Ave. N.W., Mandan, died Aug. 13, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery, with military rites by Mandan Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a Knights of Columbus rosary will be said at 7 tonight, followed by a parish vigil at 7:30.

Edward D. Carter was born April 8, 1924, in Denver. He was the son of Fred and Mary C. (Martin) Carter. Ed was raised and educated in the Denver area. He was a life-long aviation enthusiast, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1943 until 1946. He was aboard a seaplane tender, the U.S.S. Castle Rock, seeing action in the South Pacific Theater. Ed married Mary W. Mantich, Aug. 31, 1946, at St. Mary's Church, Whiting, Ind. He worked for Amoco in Whiting for eight years. Ed transferred to Mandan working 30 years as superintendent of oil movements for Amoco.

Ed was an avid hunter, fisherman and private pilot. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, National Rifle Association and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jim and Barb, Bismarck, and William, Mandan; four daughters and one son-in-law, Mary T. Tracy, Wallingford, Conn., Betsy and Stephen Hamkens, Mandan, Christine Wanner, Roundup, Mont., and Anne M. Carter, Fargo; his mother, Mary C. Carter, Mandan; four grandchildren, Edward A. Hamkens, Sara Cianciolo, Andrea Tracy and Megan Carter; and one great-grandson, Jacob Cianciolo.

He was preceded in death by his father; and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to School of Hope.

Robert Lucy
JAMESTOWN -- Dr. Robert E. Lucy, 78, Jamestown, died Aug. 14, 1996, in Jamestown. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown.

A Masonic service will begin at 8 p.m. Sunday at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Robert E. Lucy was born Feb. 6, 1918, in Hoisington, Kan., the son of Emmet Knmouth and Ermine Grace (Thornton) Lucy. He was a graduate of the University of Kansas and obtained bachelor of science and medical doctorate degrees from the University of Arkansas. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corp during World War II. He was associated with De-Puy Sorkness Clinic in Jamestown from 1948 to 1977. In 1977 he entered private practice, retiring in 1990 after 42 years of medical practice in Jamestown. Robert married Beth Young in Kansas City, Mo. in 1940. They are the parents of three children.

Robert Lucy was a member of American Medical Association, North Dakota Medical Association, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Society of Gynecological Laporiscopists. He was a member of all Masonic bodies, the El Zagal Shrine Temple, Jamestown Shrine Club and Jamestown Clowns. He was a past Potentate of El Zagal Temple and a past director of Court 67, Royal Order of Jesters. He held the Legion of Honor Degree in Order of DeMolay. He was an elder in the United Presbyterian Church, and a member of the B.P.O.E.

He is survived by his wife, Beth; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Patricia, Hermosa Beach, Calif., and Matthew and Jennifer, Oceanside, Calif.; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Thomas Bagan, Lake Forest, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister.

The family requests memorials be given to United Presbyterian Church or the Shrine Crippled Children Hospital.

Gladys Krantz
GARRISON - Gladys L. Krantz, 54, Minot, formerly of Garrison, died Aug. 13, 1996, in a Minot hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Garrison, with the Revs. Troy Heidt and Gene Lindemann officiating. Burial will be in Garrison Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison.

Gladys was born Feb. 17, 1942, in Garrison, to Earl and Ernestine (Opp) Krantz. She was raised at Emmet, and graduated from Garrison High School in 1960. She attended Minot Business College and upon graduation, went to work for St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck. Gladys moved to Walla Walla, Wash., where she worked for Gardners Department Store, and Farmers Union. She returned to North Dakota to take a position as Ward County Treasurer, and was elected to office in May 1983. Gladys still held her position as treasurer at the time of her death.

She is survived by her mother, Ernestine; two brothers, Milton, Freewater, Ore., and Leonard, Underwood; eight sisters, Joyce Sand, Minot, Joan Chernick, Odessa, Texas, Cletus Sayler, Underwood, Theresa Krantz, Carlin, Nev., Velma Weishaar, Benedict, Rachel Porter, Patty Friese and Luella Krantz, all of Garrison; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Richard Ulrich
Richard Peter Ulrich, 61, Las Vegas, died of lung cancer, Aug. 11, 1996, in his home. Memorial services will be Friday in Las Vegas.

Richard was born Feb. 19, 1935, in Fessenden, to J. Peter and Evelyn (Emery) Ulrich. He graduated from Harvey High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. He then attended the University of North Dakota where he graduated with a degree in accounting and business administration. Following graduation he worked for Tusche, Ross, Bailey and Smart, an accounting firm in St. Paul, Minn., and Standard Oil of Alaska in Sitka. He then moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, where he attended the University of Hawaii. He married Eleanor Myosoto in 1965 and worked for Dole Pineapple Co. from 1963-1980. He worked at the Honolulu branch office of Holmes and Narver Construction Co. of San Jose, Calif.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; one daughter, Wendi, Las Vegas; his mother, Evelyn Ulrich, Linton; two sisters, Virginia Berger, Bismarck, and Linda Ulrich, Linton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Delores Schneider
RHAME -- Delores Schneider, 74, Rhame, died Aug. 12, 1996, in a Rochester, Minn. hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. MDT Friday at St. Mel's Catholic Church, Rhame, with burial in Tuttle Cemetery, Rhame.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; three sons, Jerome and Thomas, both of Parshall, and Michael, Rhame; two daughters, Mary Emmett, St. Albans, W.V., and Liz Schneider, Dickinson; one sister, Shirley Runyon, Big Spring, Texas; and two brothers, Joseph Seymanski, Billings, Mont., and Russell Seymanski, Park City, Mont. William Tidball
LEMMON, S.D. -- William P. Tidball, 76, Lemmon, died Aug. 12, 1996, in the Lemmon nursing home. Services will be at 11 a.m. MDT Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Morristown, with burial in Morristown Cemetery.

He is survived by one son, William Jr., Beach; two daughters, Shari Pazle, Morristown, and Mary Maher, Rapid City; three brothers, Jim, Plainview, Minn., and Sam and Keith, both of Fort Pierre; and three sisters, Margaret Reno, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Pat Monnens, Isabel, and Nora Anderson, Meadow. Marion Spears
HAZEN -- Marion Josephine Spears, 84, Hazen, died Aug. 14, 1996, in the Hazen hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Friday at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, with burial in Oakley Cemetery, Littlefork, Minn.

She is survived by her husband, Earl; two daughters, Patsy Barstad, Beulah, and Frances Kerr, Pelican Rapids, Minn.; two sisters, Sheila Tool, Federal Way, Wash., and Wenona Spears, Littlefork; and three brothers, Herman Hoy, Littlefork, Elmer Hoy, Albany, Ind., and Everette Hoy, Canby, Ore. Jennifer Proell
GARRISON -- Jennifer Rose Proell, 7, Garrison, died Aug. 13, 1996, in Garrison. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Congregational Church, Garrison, with burial in Garrison Cemetery.

She is survived by her parents, LeRoy and Robin Proell; two sisters, Kristin, and her twin sister, Amy; her grandparents, Alvin and Rosalee Proell, Garrison, and Robert and Bonnie Rupp, Garrison, and Myron Morris, Milan, Ill., and Lovella Wanner, Bismarck; and her great-grandparents. Ida Coffing
DICKINSON -- Ida Elizabeth Coffing, 94, Dickinson, died Aug. 12, 1996, in the Dickinson nursing home. Services will be at 1 p.m. MDT Friday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dickinson, with burial in Sunnyslope Cemetery, Mott.

She is survived by two sons, William and Thomas, both of St. Paul, Minn.; and one brother, Robert Trzynka, Washington. (Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson)

BUFFALO, Wyo. -- Minnie Kovar, 80, Buffalo, formerly of St. Anthony, died Aug. 9, 1996, in a Buffalo hospital. Services were Monday at First Lutheran Church, Newell, S.D., with burial in Hope Cemtery, Newell.

She is survived by her husband, Louis; three sons, Ray, Buffalo, Neil, Newell, and Don, Sheridan; one daughter, Florence Hatzenbuhler, Buffalo; and one sister, Martha Kollmann, Spokane, Wash. (Adams Funeral Home, Buffalo)

Susan Schladweiler
WILLISTON -- Susan Schladweiler, 47, Billings, Mont., formerly of Williston, died Aug. 12, 1996, in the Williston hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Union Church, Williston.
