Kenneth Vincent Kramer, 74, Hackensack, Minn., formerly of Bismarck, died Dec. 9, 1996, in the Brainerd, Minn. hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hackensack, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Hackensack.

He is survived by one daughter, Susan Betzold, Columbia Heights, Minn.; three sons, Kenneth, Washburn, David, Germany, and Darren, Bismarck; one brother, William, Hackensack; and one sister, Marie Miller, Park Rapids, Minn. (Northland Funeral Home, Pine River, Minn.)

LISBON -- James R. Denis, 72, Lisbon, died Dec. 10, 1996, in a Fargo hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at North Dakota Veterans Home, Fargo.

Mildred Carlson
WILLISTON -- Mildred Carlson, 82, Williston, died Dec. 9, 1996, in the Williston nursing home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Everson Memorial Chapel, Williston, with burial in Riverview Cemetery, Williston.

She is survived by two daughters, Helen Andersen, Williston, and Charleen Hedstrom, Phoenix; three brothers, Lawrence Berg and Glen Berg, both of Williston, and Lloyd Berg, Zahl.

Andrew Heilman
CARRINGTON -- Andrew C. Heilman, 82, Carrington, died Dec. 9, 1996, in the Carrington nursing home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Carrington, with burial in Carrington Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Lenora; one son, James, New Salem; two daughters, Andrea Irmen, Sawyer, and JoAnn Vollrath, Jamestown; one brother, Benjamin, Nashville; and one sister, Kathryn Moore, Seattle. (Evans Funeral Home, Carrington)

Beatrice Schaffer

KULM -- Arvid Erickson, 88, Kulm, died Dec. 10, 1996, in the Wishek hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Kulm Assembly of God Church. Further arrangements are pending at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm.

Dwight Jacobsen
DICKINSON -- Dwight Jacobsen, 49, Dickinson, died Dec. 11, 1996, in Dickinson. Arrangements are pending at Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson.

Lydia Kuebler
Lydia Kuebler, 92, Mandan, died Feb. 6, 1997, in the Mandan nursing home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with the Rev. Walter Schott officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Saturday until time of services at the funeral home.

Lydia was born May 15, 1904, in Elgin, the daughter of Jacob and Barbara (Krauz) Bauer. She married Eugene Kuebler Oct. 4, 1926, in Mandan. He died Feb. 20, 1970.

Lydia was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mandan.

She is survived by one brother, Herman, Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mathilda, Jeanetta and an infant; and six brothers, Reinhold, Christ, Henry, Gotleib, August and Emanuel.

Harold Herner
Harold Herner, 49, 1723 N. 20th St., Bismarck, died Feb. 6, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Church of St. Anne, Bismarck, with the Rev. Ed Wehner officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, with military rites provided by V.F.W. Post 1326.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a vigil and rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Harold was born Nov. 18, 1947, one of seven children, to Jerome and Florence (Marthaller) Herner, in Mott, N.D. He was a graduate of Mott High School and Bismarck State College.

Harold entered the U.S. Army in 1968. He served in Vietnam with the ``Big Red One," at which time he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, two Overseas Bars, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 DVC, Army Commendation Medal W/V DVC 3rd OLC, Air Medal and Combat Infantry Badge. He was honorably discharged in 1970.

He was employed by the state of North Dakota and was currently employed at the State Health Department. Harold married Jan Thomas from Glen Ullin on Oct. 7, 1972. His love and devotion to his family was always a priority. One of the joys in his life were his children, in whom he took great pride.

He is survived by his wife, Jan; one daughter, Michelle; one son, Jason; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Les and Becky, Fargo, and Ron and Margie, Mott; and four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Shirley and Ray Klein, Sequim, Wash., LaDonna and Garret Forsch, Mandan; Linda and Paul Kamrath, Florence, Mont., and Bev Kelly, Spearfish, S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers-in-law.

Kevin Busch
UNDERWOOD -- Kevin C. Busch, 47, rural Underwood, died Feb. 6, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital after a brief illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Underwood, with the Rev. Thomas Puffe officiating. Burial will be in Underwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Goetz Funeral Home, Underwood, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Kevin Charles Busch was born June 14, 1949, at Farmington, Minn., to Orrin and Dolores (Doxey) Busch. He grew up in Underwood, where he graduated from high school in 1967. He attended Minot State College for two years where he played football and then attended North Dakota State School of Science at Wahpeton where he studied plumbing.

In 1969, he began working for Industrial Contractors Inc. in Bismarck. Kevin married Sandi Isaak July 1, 1972, at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Hazen. They lived in Bismarck until 1978 when they moved to Underwood where he worked as a pipefitter at area power plants. He eventually became executive vice president of ICI with his office located in Bismarck.

Kevin enjoyed reading, hunting and fishing, and spending time at the lake with his family and friends. His daughters were the sparkle in his eyes.

He is survived by his wife, Sandi, rural Underwood; three daughters, Stacey Busch, a student at Moorhead (Minn.) State University, Cassie Busch, a junior at Underwood High School, and Deann Busch, a student at Valley City State University, and her friend, Rick Brunelle, Valley City; his parents, Orrin and Dolores Busch, Hendricks, Minn.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Brad Busch, Moorhead, and Stuart and Paula Busch, Estelline, S.D.; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Dennis Dietz, Hazen, Juanita and Dan Grewing, North Sioux City, S.D., Vicki and Dallas Benzmiller, Underwood, Wendy and Leslie Forland, Turtle Lake, Tamara and Keith Paulsen, Salem, S.D., and Stephanie and Troy Buller, Hendricks; many nieces and nephews; and three great-nieces.

Muriel Otteson
ALAMO -- Muriel Otteson, 70, Alamo, died Feb. 4, 1997, at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Calvary Lutheran Church, Alamo. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Williston.

She is survived by her husband, Milo; five sons, Orley, Fargo, Gregg and Scott, both of Grand Forks, Kelly, Williston, and Kevin, Alamo,; two daughters, Marla Holgerson, Alamo, and Deb deAlminana, Oklahoma City, Okla.; four brothers, Clifford and Ernie Flaten, both of Minneapolis, Glenn Flaten, Williston, and Lawrence Flaten, Ray; and one sister, Mildred Modine, Scobey, Mont. (Everson Funeral Home, Williston)

Alfred Dauenhauer
Alfred Dauenhauer, 68, formerly of Killdeer, died Jan. 21, 1997. Services were Jan. 25 at St. Frances Church, Missoula, Mont.

He is survived by one son, Ralph, Missoula; four daughters in Hawaii; seven sisters, Gladys Marquart, Lorraine Gerhart, and Lori Daniels, all of Missoula; Helen Marquart, Kennewick, Wash., Violet Kellar, Newman, Calif., Bette Currier, Idaho, and Delores Klein, Bismarck; and two brothers, Felix, Georgetown Lake, Mont., and Eugene, Mandan.

Paul Schmidt
DICKINSON -- Paul Schmidt, 80, Dickinson, died Feb. 3, 1997, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. MST Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dickinson. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Dickinson.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline; two daughters, Leona Hanson, Warroad, Minn., and Paulette Reiter, Elko, Nev.; two sons, Brian and Robert, both of Dickinson; three brothers, Tony, Dickinson, Alfred, Tigard, Ore., and Christ, Sherwood, Ore.; and four sisters, Eleanor Jones, Portland, Ore., and Ann Schulz, Betty Stroh, and Jenny Diebel, all of Dickinson. Joel Davy
MINOT (AP) -- Services are scheduled today for longtime Minot educator Joel Davy, who died Monday at age 76.

Mr. Davy, a native of Burlington, retired in 1984 from Minot State University, where he was vice president of academic affairs and dean of faculty.

``Joel always got along good with the faculty. He led by example," said longtime friend Donald ``Archie" Peterson, who worked for Mr. Davy at three different institutions, including MSU. ``Joel was friendly, but firm."

He graduated from Jamestown College in 1942 and was principal at Minot High School from 1955 to 1965. Mr. Davy also held school administrator jobs in Ambrose, Maxbass and Valley City.

A funeral is planned for 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Minot.

Edward Rath
WISHEK -- Edward Rath, 79, Wishek, died Feb. 5, 1997, in Wishek. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek. Burial will be in St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek.

He is survived by his wife, Erna, Wishek; three daughters, Patricia Ritter, Bismarck, Karen Nelson, Minot, and Deborah Boser, West Fargo; two sons, Kim, Wishek, and Jayson, Bismarck; and three sisters, Eva Ketterling, Wishek, Mary Munsch, Sacramento, Calif., and Millie Sayler, Truckee, Calif. Gordon Hartvikson
Gordon B. Hartvikson, 78, Fargo, died Feb. 5, 1997, in a Fargo hospital following a car accident. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Boulger Funeral Chapel, Fargo. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes, Fargo; one son, Ronald, Thompson; three daughters, Linda Sorenson, DeQueen, Ark., Roberta Overby, Jamestown, and Ann Overby, West Fargo; two brothers, Arthur, Sardis, British Columbia, and Hjalmer, Bottineau; and one sister, Rubelle Tefre, Plentywood, Mont.

Bendina Meyer
STRASBURG -- Bendina Meyer, 82, Strasburg, died Feb. 5, 1997, in the Strasburg nursing home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hull Christian Reformed Church, Hull. Burial will be in Hull Cemetery.

He is survived by five brothers, Peter, Edwin, Gerrit and John J. Nieuwsma, all of Hague, and Franklin Nieuwsma, Modesto, Calif.; and one sister, Anna Tebest, Bismarck. (Myers Funeral Home, Linton)

Joseph LaVallie
WILLISTON -- Joseph LaVallie, 92, Williston, died Feb. 6, 1997, in a Williston nursing home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church, Trenton. Arrangements are pending with Everson Funeral Home, Williston.

Simon Bosch
HALLIDAY -- Simon Bosch, 81, Halliday, died Feb. 6, 1997, at his home. Arrangements are pending with Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson.

Agnes Byron
Agnes M. Byron, 94, Kalispell, Mont., formerly of New Rockford, died Feb. 4, 1997, in a Kalispell care center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church, New Rockford. Further arrangements are pending with Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.

Oscar Jordre
Oscar Jordre, 76, Sheyenne, died Feb. 6, 1997, at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eden Lutheran Church, rural Sheyenne. Further arrangements are pending with Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.

William Senn
William Paul Senn, 69, 1204 First St. N.E., Mandan, died Dec. 12, 1996, in a Mandan nursing home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of St. Joseph, Mandan. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery, with military rites provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a Catholic Daughters Rosary will be said at 4 p.m., a St. Anthony Verein Rosary at 7:30 p.m. and a parish vigil at 8 p.m.

William was born Sept. 4, 1927, in Odense, N.D., the son of Stanis and Mary (Korte) Senn. He was raised and educated in the Odense area. He served in the U.S. Army from Jan. 16, 1951, to Oct. 15, 1952, and also was a member of the National Guard. On May 4, 1968, he married Barbara Storick-Bernhardt in Mobridge, S.D. William was employed as an assembler with Melroe Co. in Bismarck. He quit working Dec. 29, 1983, due to health problems.

He was a member of Bismarck Eagles Club and St. Anthony Verein.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, Mandan; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lynn Senn, Rapid City, S.D.; one daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Terry Larsen, Rapid City; two stepsons and one daughter-in-law, Larry and Barb Bernhardt, Dickinson, and Edward Bernhardt, Mandan; three stepdaughters and two sons-in-law, Kathy and Richard Zimmerman, Bismarck, Karen Bernhardt, Boston, Mass., and Pat and Kirby Oswald, Eureka, S.D.; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; his stepmother, Irene Senn, Mandan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Ruth Senn, Mandan, and James and Jan Senn, Longview, Wash.; and one sister, Margaret Wentz, Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
