Kenneth Lunn
Kenneth R. Lunn, 71, 812 N. 12th St., died July 25, 1996, in Bismarck. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Municipal Country Club, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. today and Sunday at Eastgate Funeral Service, and will continue at the country club one hour before services.

Kenneth was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Garrison, the son of Fred and Selma (Rein) Lunn Sr. At age four he moved with his family to Bismarck, where he attended school, graduating from Bismarck High School in 1942. In October 1943, he entered the U.S. Army, serving in the European and Pacific campaigns. After his discharge in May 1946, Kenny attended Bismarck Junior College. Kenny was a partner in Lunn Construction Co. with his father and three brothers until his retirement in 1981. On Dec. 29, 1951, he married Beverly Patera in Bismarck.

Kenny was a devoted family man, who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; one daughter and son-in-law, Marnie J. and Jeffrey Dodds, Fargo; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dr. Jeffrey and Barbara, Scottsdale, Ariz., Dr. David, Yuma, Ariz., and Dr. Eric and Cynthia, Grand Forks; four granddaughters, Megan Lunn, Scottsdale, Leslie Lunn and Whitney Lunn, both of Grand Forks, and Josslyn Dodds, Williston; four grandsons, Joshua, Joseph and Jordan Gregoire, Williston, and Ryan Lunn, Scottsdale; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Frances, Wayne and Joann, and Fred and Joan, all of Bismarck; five nieces; and eight nephews; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Fayne and Rodney Bell, Brookings, S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one granddaughter, Summer Lunn.

Lorraine Buckingham
Longtime Bismarck resident, Lorraine Pauline Bohlig Buckingham, died July 24, 1996, of natural causes in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Born in St. Cloud, Minn., May 31, 1903, she graduated from Fargo High School and North Dakota State University. She was a high school teacher in Underwood for two years, and held secretarial positions in Pasadena, Calif. before moving to Bismarck in 1934. She served as a secretary in the North Dakota State Capitol Building before marrying Dr. Tracy W. Buckingham in Bismarck in 1936. She resided in Bismarck until shortly after her husband's death in 1987, when she retired to Scottsdale.

Lorraine was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, NDSU. While in Bismarck she was an active member of P.E.O. Chapter N of the University Club, North Dakota Medical Association Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and McCabe United Methodist Church. Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Jane L. Pfeifer, Bridger, Mont.; her son, Willis J. Buckingham, Phoenix; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A service in celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McCabe United Methodist Church in Bismarck.

Marjorie Bieber
Marjorie A. ``Marge" Bieber, 87, Mandan, died July 25, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Ray Martin officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan. There will be no visitation at the church.

Marjorie Weber was born Sept. 28, 1908, at Wishek, the daughter of Fred and Agnes (Houseman) Weber. She was raised and educated in the area and married Edward Bieber, Sept. 13, 1928, at McIntosh, S.D. They lived in Flasher for a short time, but she and her husband were longtime Mandan residents. She worked for George's Bakery and Toman Cleaners in Mandan. Edward died June 9, 1976.

She was well known for her talent in baking and decorating cakes. She was a member of First United Methodist Church Women and sang in the choir. Marge was a charter member of Mandan Eagles Auxiliary. A very active member, she held many offices over the years and was twice named mother of the year. She also served at the Ritual Team Pianist.

She will be deeply missed by those who survive her, including four daughters and two sons-in-law, Joan George, Laurel, Mont., Dorene and Clements Stein, Minot, Arlene Sautner, Tacoma, Wash., and Janice and Dallas Ingles, Shade Hill, S.D.; 12 great-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Delores Mungo, Ventura, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three grandsons; and one sister, Lavene Jaeger.

James Selness
James R. Selness, 66, 2505 Kimberly Ave., died July 25, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Revs. Jeff Franko and Lisa Ahlness officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday at Eastgate Funeral Service, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

James was born Feb. 20, 1930, in Steele, the son of Martin and Helen (Winterton) Selness. He moved to Bismarck at age 9, and was raised and educated in Bismarck. James served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1953. He married Marlys Zeretzke, Aug. 9, 1954, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck. James was vice president of data processing at Provident Life, retiring after 36 years. He worked part-time at Medcenter One, and finally retired from North Dakota Department of Human Services in 1995. After his retirement he was a volunteer at North Dakota Heritage Center until his death.

James was a member of many local fraternal organizations, and was an active participant at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marlys; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Gregg Ehreth, Grand Forks; two grandchildren, Ben and Becky Ehreth, Grand Forks; one sister, Muriel Mohr, Moorhead, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and two sisters.

Theresa Wolf
Theresa Wolf, 67, died at her home in Bismarck, July 25, 1996. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with the Rev. Marvin Klemmer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m.-noon Monday at Eastgate Funeral Service, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by a vigil. Theresa was born May 22, 1929, the daughter of Gabriel and Magdalina Miller. She was raised near Wishek and attended a rural school there. She had various occupations, cook, waitress, housecleaning, and her most recent employer was Jobbers Moving and Storage.

She is survived by her husband, Mike; her son, Myron, New Hope, Minn.; her daughters and sons-in-law, Clarissa Wolf and Pete Holmquist, Millersville, Md., Lyndia and Pat Messer, Fort Nelson, British Columbia, Canada, and Claudia and David Wilde, Apple Valley, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Corey, Kaylyn and Tyrel Messer, Cheyenne and her husband, Butch Van Heuveln, Sheridan and Bryan Wilde, and Amy Wolf; six sisters; one brother; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son; her parents; and three brothers.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to American Cancer Society or St. Alexius Hospice.

Wilma Goehring
Wilma Goehring, 76, Pleasant Hill, Calif., formerly of Zap, died July 25, 1996, in her home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Oak Park Hills Chapel, Walnut Creek, Calif., with burial in Oakmont Cemetery, Lafayette, Calif.

She is survived by her husband, Reuben; two sons, Basil, Patomac, Mont., and Rocky, Oakdale, Calif.; one brother, Oscar Boehler, Hazen; and two sisters, Ida Fischer, Bismarck, and Martha Walling, Sonoma, Calif.

Verdie Davis
ASHLEY -- Verdie Earl Davis, 62, Ashley, died July 26, 1996, in a Fargo hospital. Arrangements are pending at Carlsen Funeral Home, Ashley.

Anna Swanson
DICKINSON -- Anna Swanson, 98, Glendive, Mont., formerly of Dickinson, died July 24, 1996, in the Glendive hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. MDT Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dickinson, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Henning, Glendive, and Margaret Hankerson, Grand Forks; and one son, John, Elk River, Minn. (Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson)

James Vought
GARRISON -- James Vought, 92, Garrison, died July 26, 1996, in the Garrison nursing home. Arrangements are pending at Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison.

Nellie Becker
HETTINGER -- Nellie M. Becker, 85, Hettinger, died July 25, 1996, in the Hettinger hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MDT Monday at Hettinger Lutheran Church, with burial in Hettinger Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Maxine Nibbe, Mandan; and two sisters, Hazel Markegard, Bucyrus, and Gladys McLaughlin, Lemmon, S.D. (Walby Chapel, Hettinger)

Reuben Kreiter
GOODRICH -- Reuben Kreiter, 80, Goodrich, died July 24, 1996, in the Harvey hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Seventh-day Adventist Church, Goodrich, with burial in Seventh-day Adventist Cemetery, rural Manfred.

Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. today at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Reuben was born Jan. 10, 1916, near Manfred, the son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Kreiter. He grew up and attended rural school there. He married Agnes Wagner, April 14, 1941. They farmed near Manfred, and south of Harvey until moving to Goodrich in 1955. He owned the Kreiter International Harvester Implement in Goodrich until he sold the business in 1963. He also farmed west of Denhoff. Agnes died Sept. 26, 1993. He continued to live in Goodrich until March 1996, when he moved to Sheridan Memorial Home in McClusky.

A member of Seventh-day Adventist Church, Goodrich, he also served as mayor of Goodrich. He was a school bus driver for 21 years, and a bus mechanic for the Goodrich School District. An avid antique collector, Reuben was the driver for many area residents, taking them to appointments or meetings.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Dessa, Littleton, Colo.; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Elizabeth; four brothers, Levi, Bismarck, Archie and James, both of Harvey, and Harley, Woodland, Calif.; and two sisters, Lorene Zeeb, Denhoff, and Rose Zeeb, Bismarck.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brothers, Edwin, Clarence, Allen and Morris; and one sister, Violet.

Norman Mautz
GARRISON -- Norman Mautz, 59, Garrison, died July 27, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Services wil be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Garrison, with burial in St. Paul's Cemetery, rural Garrison.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Norman was born Jan. 22, 1937, at Garrison, to Henry P. and Emma Mautz. He was educated near Garrison. He married Betty Boger, Oct. 2, 1965, at Garrison. They farmed east of Garrison until his death.

He served in the National Guard and was in the U.S. Army during the Berlin Crisis. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Central Dakota Gem and Mineral Society and the Hugh P. Minehan American Legion Post.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Joe Long, Rouseville, Pa., and Suzanne Mautz, Sauk Rapids, Minn.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Brian and Candice, Garrison, and James, Garrison; three grandchildren; his mother, Emma Mautz, Garrison; two sisters, Iona Ferderer, Roseau, Minn., and Darlene Helm, Fargo; and two sisters-in-law, Donna Mautz, Garrison, and Jeanette Mautz, Laurel, Mont.

He was preceded in death by his father and three brothers.

Chester Zweigle
HARVEY -- Chester Zweigle, 73, Harvey, died July 28, 1996, in the Harvey hospital. Arrangements are pending at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Verdie Davis
ASHLEY -- Verdie Earl Davis, 62, Ashley, died July 26, 1996, in a Fargo hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Ashley, with burial in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia; one son, Jason, Fargo; three daughters, Nancy Davis, Aberdeen, S.D., Sarah Davis and Amanda Davis, both of Ashley; five brothers, Henry, Bloomfield, N.M., Ira, Wellston, Okla., James, Holdenville, Okla., Kenneth, Oklahoma City, and Herman, Ukon, Okla.; and two sisters, Beulah Lawson, Rio Linda, Calif., and Helen Pittman, LaVergne, Tenn. (Carlsen Funeral Home, Ashley)

Inez Fritz
DICKINSON -- Inez Fritz, 73, Dickinson, died July 27, 1996, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. MDT Tuesday at Medora Community Center, with burial in Medora Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Maynard; one son, Dennis, Rugby; one daughter, Ramona Dressler, Marshall; and one sister, Harriet Tisor, Dickinson. (Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson)

Christopher Boehm
Christopher Boehm, 72, 1308 Seventh St. N.W., Mandan, died July 28, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan.

Scott Boehm
Scott A. Boehm, 34, Gillette, Wyo., died July 27, 1996, in an automobile accident at Gillette. Arrangements are pending at Eastgate Funeral Service.

Eva Fiechtner
MONANGO -- Eva Fiechtner, 96, Monango, died July 28, 1996, in the Jamestown hospital. Arrangements are pending at Carlsen Funeral Home, Ellendale.

LaRue Jahraus

HEBRON -- LaRue Jahraus, 52, Chandler, Ariz., formerly of Hebron, died June 29, 1996, in Chandler. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Wednesday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Hebron, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today at Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron, where a prayer service will begin at 7:30 tonight. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services.

LaRue was born June 8, 1944 at Elgin, to John and Edna (Kehun) Hoffman. She was raised and educated at Elgin. She married Ronald Jahraus, Sept. 1, 1962 at Hebron. During their 34 years together they lived in Hebron, Seattle, Bismarck, Ashley, Wahpeton, Denver, Minneapolis and Chandler. LaRue loved to bake, quilt and cook. She always did special things for her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Perry, Chandler; one daughter, Laurie Erickson, Chandler; her mother, Edna Hoffman, Bismarck; four brothers, John, Jim and Mark, all of Bismarck, and Tom, Chandler; and five sisters, Lola Junker, Bismarck, Charlotte Hillius and Cheryl Wutzke, both of Elgin, Marci Smith, Bismarck, and Linda Gomez, Olympia, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her father; one brother; and one sister.

Caroline Lutkat

Caroline M. Lutkat, 77, Mandan, died July 1, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.

Gaylord Tudahl

DICKINSON -- Gaylord H. Tudahl, 66, Dickinson, died June 29, 1996, in Dickinson. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Wednesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dickinson, with burial in Dickinson Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; three daughters, Gayla Kittelson, Velva, Rochelle Moon, Mounds View, Minn., and Teresa Nitschke, Lincoln; one brother, Carroll, Berthold; and one sister, Emily Haaland, Minot. Harold Blegen

YORK -- Harold E. Blegen, 85, York, died June 29, 1996, in the Rugby hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Petri Lutheran Church, rural York, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by one son, Owen, York; three daughters, Mary Jo Vetter, Harvey, Diane Ogann, Marion, Iowa, and Vikki McCleary, Thompson; and two sisters, Caroline Nybo, York, and Palma Blegen, Leeds. (Nelson Funeral Home, Leeds)

Beverly Buchholz

HARVEY -- Beverly Buchholz, 54, Harvey, died June 29, 1996, in the Harvey hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, with burial in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey. She is survived by two brothers, Martin, Grand Forks, and Robert, Fargo; and one sister, Irene Mayer, Wahpeton.

Reinhold Opp

Reinhold Opp, 83, Lincoln, Neb., formerly of Hazelton, died June 28, 1996, at his home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at College View Church, Lincoln.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, Lincoln; four daughters, Kathleen, Linda and Carlovna, all of Lincoln, and Carlotta, San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Henry, Lincoln, and Tommy, Grand Forks; and four sisters, Edna, Bismarck, Esther, Sacramento, Calif., Kathryn, Seattle, Wash., and Laura, Kingman, Ariz.
