Moriah Eymann
Moriah Eymann, the infant son of James and Peggy Eymann, Bemidji, Minn., was stillborn Jan. 3, 1997. Private services were Jan. 5.

He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Micheal and Matthew; his grandparents, Leonard and Barbara Verr, Karlstad, Minn., and Rosena Eymann, Kenmare; and his great-grandmother, Clara Eymann, Kenmare.

Eunice Gierman
RIVERDALE -- Eunice Annie Gierman, 75, Riverdale, died Jan. 5, 1997, in the Garrison hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Further arrangements are pending at Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison.

WHITE SHIELD -- Esther Perkins, 80, White Shield, died Jan. 4, 1997, in the New Town nursing home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ralph Wells Memorial Complex, White Shield, with burial in St. Paul Episcopal Cemetery, White Shield.

She is survived by one daughter, Janell Moe, New Town; one son, Thomas Goodall, Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Sybert Yellow Bear and Gilbert Perkins Sr., both of Garrison; and six sisters, Lorraine Perkins and Regina Ross, both of Garrison, Melda Lambert and Florentine Goodall, both of New Town, Leota White, Mission, S.D., and Connie Howling Bear, White Shield; and four grandchildren. JAMESTOWN -- Melvin Dean Tuel, 81, Jamestown, died Jan. 4, 1997, in Jamestown. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one daughter, Roberta Nelson, Bismarck; one son, Timothy, Woodbury, Minn.; and one sister, Betty Olson, Wahpeton.

Berneice M. Lund, 65, Barnesville, Minn., formerly of Bismarck, died Jan. 4, 1997, in the Barnesville nursing home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pelican Rapids, Minn., with burial in North Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Russell; one daughter, JoAnne Purdue, Itascadero, Calif.; two sons, David, Gilby, and Dwain, Crookston, Minn.; two sisters, Margaret Davis, Tucson, Ariz., and Eileen Solseth, Buffalo, Minn.; and one brother, Ray Miller, Desert Hot Springs, Calif. Harlin Ohlhauser
LINTON -- Harlin M. Ohlhauser, 63, Linton, died Jan. 4, 1997, in Linton. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Linton, with burial in Fredenthal Cemetery, rural Linton.

He is survived by his wife, Velma; one son, Arlyn, Bismarck; three daughters, Carla Job, Linton, Becky Kraft, Devils Lake, and Stacey Ohlhauser, Linton; two brothers, Otto, Linton, and Larry, Bloomington, Minn.; and two sisters, Lavina Iverson, Savage, Minn., and Eileen Tiede, Lodi, Calif. He is survived by his wife, Magdalena; eight sons, Leonhard, Victor and Gerald, all of Venturia, Richard, Spicer, Minn., Jim, Murdock, Minn., Ray and Jerome, both of Fargo, Francis, Zeeland; four daughters, Sophia Swenson, Hawley, Minn., Sister Johanna Doretta Meier, Belleville, Ill., Mary Schumacher, Zeeland, and Barbara Deck, Harvey; five brothers, Jochim, Oakes, Peter, Portland, Ore., Anton, Steele, Sebastian, Zeeland, and Joe, Minneapolis; and two sisters, Anna Volk, Pierre, S.D., and Sister Gemella Meier, Bismarck. NEW SALEM -- Eva Louise Carr, 98, New Salem, died Jan. 4, 1997, in the New Salem nursing home. Services will be at 2 p.m. MST Wednesday at Medora Community Center, with burial in Medora Cemetery.

She is survived by four daughters, Eileen Hardy, Beach, Beth Nagel, New Salem, Mary Rice, Barnsdall, Okla., and Patricia Franzen, Medora; and one son, Richard, Lolo, Mont. (Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home, Beach)

Elizabeth Weinmann
HARVEY -- Elizabeth Weinmann, 85, Harvey, died Jan. 5, 1997, in a Minot hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Selz, with burial in St. Cecelia Catholic Cemetery, Harvey.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine Gross, Peach Tree City, Ga., and Lucille Sinclair, Minot; two sons, Florian, Rugby, and Richard, Harvey; and one sister, Caroline Bosch, Mandan. (Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey)

Armin Unruh
MCCLUSKY -- Armin Unruh, 62, McClusky, died Jan. 6, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky.

Loretta Bender
Loretta N. Bender, 89, Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, went home to be with her Lord on Jan. 7, 1997. Loretta was born May 22, 1907, at McClusky, the daughter of John and Martha (Alexander) Bettger. She married John Bender on Nov. 1, 1933, in McClusky. They lived at McClusky since their marriage and moved to Bismarck in 1959. Loretta was well known for her quilting skills and her excellent German cooking. John died Nov. 4, 1995.

Loretta is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Dwaine Helm, Washburn; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert ``Bob" and Marlene Bender, and Donald and Lorna Bender, all of Bismarck; four grandchildren, Kevin Scott Bender, Twila Beasley, Todd Helm and Monica Bender; and two great-grandchildren.

The family prefers memorials to Missouri Slope Health Care Center or First Baptist Church, Bismarck.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Steve Wisthoff officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Armin Unruh
Armin ``Tex" Unruh, 62, McClusky, died Jan. 6, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital after a long battle with cancer. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McClusky Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lester Buenning and Ernest Schafer officiating. Burial will be in McClusky Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Pallbearers will be Norris Reiswig, Brian Unruh, Bruce Unruh, Larry Morris, Jim Schell and Russ Hoffer.

Armin was born May 2, 1934, on the family homestead near Glen Ullin, to Christian and Katharina (Hofmann) Unruh. He moved with his family to a farm south of Wing in 1952. He began his career as a construction worker in 1953, working at various sites including Garrison Dam, Mandan Refinery and the Oahe Dam. He married Marlene Wahl, May 6, 1960, in Bismarck. They lived in McClusky. He continued to work on construction jobs. He joined the Iron Workers Union Local No. 793 in 1962. He retired in 1992.

Armin was an avid outdoorsman who loved trapping, hunting, fishing and camping. He especially enjoyed hunting trips with his sons and grandchildren. Armin also took great pride in his gardening. He loved to work and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a member of McClusky Sportsman Club.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Mike Delvo, Bismarck; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Tangula, Ward and Shirley, and Wynne and Linda, all of Bismarck; five grandchildren, Jordan Delvo, and Dustin, Sierra, Kyle and Tyler Unruh; four brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Eva, Fergus Falls, Minn., Reuben and Della, and Roland and Illajean, all of Bismarck, and Rudy and Mary, Wing; six sisters, Lydia Johnson and Ida Gulbro, both of Butte, Mont., Rose Loning and Ottilia Allmer, both of Beulah, Helen Weidner, Dickinson, and Ruth Heupel and her friend, Jim Age, Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Frieda Ballensky and Emma Fischer.

Edward Becher
Edward E. Becher, 74, 308 First Avenue N.E., Mandan, died Jan. 5, 1997, at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. MST Thursday at Peace Church, New Salem, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Edward was born Nov. 5, 1922, in Blue Grass, the son of William F. and Hannah (Abraham) Becher. He was raised and educated in Youngtown. Ed farmed in Oliver County until 1957, when he moved to Mandan. He worked for Supercrete, the City of Mandan and Great Plains Research, retiring in 1986. He also served with the Civilian Conservation Corp.

He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bennie and Frances, Bismarck, and Harry and Tinette, Mandan; one sister and brother-in-law, Selma and Hilary Lieb, New Salem; three nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Henry Riegler
Dr. Henry C. Riegler Jr., 81, 2625 N. 19th St., died Jan. 7, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan. Further arrangements are pending at Dakota Memorial Chapel.

George Unruh
GRAND FORKS -- George M. Unruh, 76, Grand Forks, died Jan. 4, 1997, in a Walnut Creek, Calif., hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at United Lutheran Church, Grand Forks.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine; and two sons, George Jr., Dickinson, and Vincent, Orinda, Calif. (Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks)
