Eunice Riedlinger
Eunice A. Riedlinger, 80, 726 Aster Lane, died July 17, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Joel Sherer officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Services, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Eunice A. Spidahl was born Jan. 23, 1916, in Jamestown, the daughter of John and Hilda (Slaatenhus) Spidahl. She was raised and educated in Jamestown. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1934. Eunice married Irvin Kratzke in 1936 in Jamestown. Eunice later married Carl Riedlinger on Nov. 5, 1948. They lived in Bismarck, where Eunice enjoyed staying at home with her children. Her husband, Carl, died in 1975. Following her husband's death, Eunice resided with her daughter and her family.

She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed her grandchildren, and her dog, Sofie. She also enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandi Olson, Bismarck; one son, Jerry Kratzke, Hesperia, Calif.; four grandsons, David, Mark and Mike Kratzke, and Duke Olson; one granddaughter, Carlee Olson; two great-grandsons, Brian and Brent Kratzke; four sisters, Esther Birkedahl, Bismarck, Helen Edgekoski, Crookston, Minn., Eleanor Williams, San Diego, and Thelma Jackson, Billings, Mont.; one brother, Bernard Spidahl, Halstad, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gene "Butch"; one brother, Robert; and one sister, Evelyn.

James Richmire
James R. Richmire, 71, Bremerton, Wash., died July 18, 1996, in a Bremerton hospital. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Hope Lutheran Church, Bremerton.

James was born Jan. 11, 1925, in Walker, Minn. He graduated from Bemidji State College in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army infantry during World War II. He worked as a salesman until his retirement in 1975. He married JoAnne C. Blount, Jan. 4, 1971, in Bismarck.

He is survived by his his wife, JoAnne; three sons, James G. Richmire, Newport Beach, Calif., Cameron B. Towner, Japan, and John R. Towner, Rockford, Ill.; two daughters, Stephanie D'Amour, Seattle, and Debbie Richardson, England; and five grandchildren.

The family prefers memorials to the Kidney Center of Olympic Peninsula, 2740 Clare Ave., Bremerton, Wash. 98310. (Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home, Bremerton)

Raymond Renner
BEULAH -- Raymond Renner, 72, Beulah, died July 17, 1996, in the Beulah nursing home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. MDT Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Zap. Further arrangements are pending at Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah.

E.C. Hafner Jr.
The Rev. E.C. Hafner Jr., 63, Rochester, Wash., died June 24, 1996, in an Olympia, Wash., hospital. Services were held at Calvary Assembly of God, Centralia, with burial in Grand Mound Cemetery, Rochester.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris; two daughters, LeeAnne Scott, Rochester, and Zenobia Scott, Kelso, Wash.; two sons, Steven, Pasco, Wash., and Mark, Rochester; and his brother, Kenneth, Wilsonville, Ore. (Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary, Centralia)

Herbert Gartner
Herbert Gartner, 80, 918 N. 10th St., died July 17, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending at Eastgate Funeral Service.

LeRoy Nelson
LeRoy ""Bill" Nelson, 71, Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck, died June 29, 1996, in the nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center Chapel, with the Rev. Ray Kelch officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and will continue at the chapel one hour before services.

Bill was born July 23, 1924, in Bismarck, the son of R.C. ""Bud" and Pearl (Peterson) Nelson. He was raised and educated in Bismarck and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1945. He attended Bismarck Junior College and graduated in 1947. He served as Burleigh County register of deeds from 1951-1966. Bill then went on to work for the state Highway Department from 1969 until his retirement in 1982. Shortly after his retirement, Bill entered Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center.

He is survived by five nieces, MyaLynn Steward, Houston, Texas, Danna Bebee, Reed City, Mich., Jan Eiseman, Connie Ebach and Linda Oswald, all of Bismarck; three nephews, Eric Ayers, Wichita Falls, Kan., David Ayers, Houston, and Michael Ayers, Bozeman, Mont.; and their families.

He also leaves behind his extended family, the nurses and certified nursing assistants at Missouri Slope, whose priceless love and compassion will never be forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin sister, Betty Paul; and his baby sister, Bonnie Ayers.

Irwin Brown
Irwin ""Bill" Brown, 75, Phoenix, Ariz., died June 26, 1996, in his home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, with the Rev. Wayne Brown officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Bill was born March 1, 1921, in Charleston, Neb., the son of Ray and Blanche (Keller) Brown. In 1924 the family moved to a farm near Temvik. He attended a rural school and graduated from Temvik High School in 1939. He farmed for several years until his retirement. He married Florence Kounts in 1953 in Bismarck.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; one daughter, Bette, at home; one brother, Darel and Marcella, Bismarck; one uncle, the Rev. Walter Larson, Bismarck; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dorotha Stedman; one brother and sister-in-law, Dwayne and Marian; an infant son; and one daughter, Susan.

Marjorie Mattson
MINOT -- Marjorie D. Mattson, 73, Minot, died of naturdal causes June 29, 1996, in her home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, Minot, with burial in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

She is survived by her husband, Leif; three sons, Kevin and Douglas, both of Minot, and Jeffrey, Redding, Conn.; two daughters, Linda Nelson, Minot, and Jill Mattson, Baltimore; and one sister, Naedine Aanestad, Minot. (Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot)

Alda Peterson
BEULAH -- Alda Peterson, 72, Zap, died June 28, 1996. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Wednesday at Zap Immanuel Lutheran Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Shevon Delvo, Beulah, and Shellae Peterson, St. Paul, Minn.; and one son, Shane Peterson, San Gabriel, Calif. (Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah)

Aage Nielson
NEW ENGLAND -- Aage ""Red" Nielsen, 83, New England, died June 28, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Tuesday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, New England, with the Rev. Donna Dohrmann officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery, rural Mandan.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. today at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Aage was born May 25, 1913, to Karl and Gunda (Koehling) Nielsen in Denmark. At the age of 2 he came with his parents to the United States, and they settled in New England. He attended school in New England. Aage married Josephine Smith on July 14, 1942, in Amidon. On Sept. 17, 1942, Aage entered the U.S. Army and served four years, two years overseas on the Aleutian Islands. He was discharged on Oct. 19, 1945, and returned to New England, where he worked for the state Highway Department for 29 years. He continued working with construction crews for several years after his retirement.

Aage was a member of American Legion Anton Ulijohn Post No. 66. He was an avid walker and enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Elsie, Jessie, and Rod and Deloris, Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Orville Haugen, New England, and Susan and Scott Montgomery, Belle Fourche, S.D.; four grandsons, Judd Nielsen, Shane Magelky, Dustin Magelky and Mason Montgomery; two granddaughters, Audrey Haugen and Jessica Nielsen.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

Gary Schiable
ELGIN -- Services for Gary Schiable, 70, Breckinridge, Minn., formerly of Elgin, will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Elgin, with burial in the church cemetery.

Gaylord Tudahi
DICKINSON -- Gaylord Tudahl, 66, Dickinson, died June 29, 1996, in Dickinson. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending at Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson.

Elizabeth Kathrein
DICKINSON -- Elizabeth Kathrein, 93, Dickinson, died June 29, 1996, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. MDT today at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, New England.

She is survived by seven daughters, Sister Mary Isabel, Dickinson, Ann Schaeffer, Belfield, Betty Krauter, Ada, Minn., Rosemary Ochsenfeld, Hot Springs Village, Ariz., Marge Krauter, Fridley, Minn., Eleanore Tarmann, San Jose, Calif., and Barbara Parker, Arvada, Colo.; and three sons, Tony, New England, Jack, Amidon, and Nick, Dickinson. Beverly Sayler
Beverly N. Sayler, 64, 337 N. 31st St., died July 20, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Church of the Nazarene, Bismarck, with the Rev. Ernest Hockett officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Eastgate Funeral Service. It will continue at the church one hour before services.

Beverly N. Young was born Sept. 17, 1931, in Bismarck, the daughter of William and Noi (Daniel) Young. She was raised in Bismarck and attended Bismarck schools, where she was very interested in sports and music. Beverly married Don Sayler, Nov. 16, 1951, in Wibaux, Mont. They lived in Bismarck where she worked for Bismarck Hospital and Blue Cross Blue Shield for more than 20 years. She then retired due to illness.

Beverly enjoyed sports, gardening, sewing and her special pet, Mitzie.

She is survived by her daughter, Karon Hacanson, Bismarck; one son and daughter-in-law, Don Jr. and Sherry, Bismarck; her grandchildren, Shelly and Jason Swensrud, Mike Hacanson and Marsha Hacanson; her great-grandchildren, Brittney and Brandon Swensrud; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Young, Bismarck; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Cleta and Don Young, Waianae, Hawaii, and Vivian Moullette, Eau Claire, Wis.; two brothers-in-law, Clyde Sayler, Mandan, and Jim Sayler, Bismarck.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, on Oct. 23, 1991; her parents and an infant brother.

The family prefers memorials to American Heart Association or American Lung Association.

Georgia Bosch
DICKINSON -- Georgia Bosch, 84, Dickinson, died July 20, 1996, in a Dickinson nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending at Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson.

Ida Riehl
Ida Riehl, 74, 413 Lansing Lane, died July 20, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ascension Church, Bismarck, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a rosary will be said at 7 tonight, followed by a parish vigil at 7:30.

Cora Olson
NEW TOWN -- Cora L. Olson, 82, New Town, died July 18, 1996, in Livingston, Mont. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, rural New Town, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Rodney, Livingston; one daughter, Sharon Richardson, Livingston; and one sister, Della Johnson, Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. (Johnson Funeral Home, New Town)

Royce Gessner
MINOT -- Royce Elmore Gessner, 79, Minot, died July 20, 1996, in a Minot hospital. No services will be held at Royce's request. Private burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Walhalla.

He is survived by one son, Bill, Minneapolis; and two sisters, Judith Challoner, Seattle, and Eleanor Hoopman, Granger, Ind. (Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot)

Leone Forsythe
POLLOCK, S.D. -- Leone M. Forsythe, 89, Pollock, died July 18, 1996, in the Linton hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Pollock Lutheran Church, with burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare.

She is survived by one daughter, Valoranye Frantsvog, Moorhead, Minn.; and one sister, Edith Christianson, Kenmare. (Meyers Funeral Home, Linton)

Ralph Thomas
KILLDEER -- Ralph Thomas, 78, Killdeer, died July 18, 1996, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Killdeer. Further arrangements are pending at Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson.

Norma Abraham
RAPID CITY, S.D. -- Norma Abraham, 60, Rapid City, died July 19, 1996, in the Rapid City hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Behrens Mortuary, Rapid City, with burial in Anderson, Ind.

She is survived by two sons, Bruce Nelson, Owatonna, Minn., and Brian Nelson, Bismarck; one daughter, Linda Erickson, Rapid City; one sister, Betty Ann Charlton, Anderson; and one brother, Larry Scherer, Texas.

Edward Seibold
NEW ROCKFORD -- Edward F. Seibold, 94, Peoria, Ariz., formerly of New Rockford, died Dec. 24, 1995, in a Peoria nursing home. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethel Chapel, Carrington, with burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Cathay.

He is survived by his wife, Edna, Bismarck; one son, Don, Carrington; one daughter, Lois Horning, Bismarck; and three sisters, Elsie Meth, Bismarck, and Hilda Seibold and Ruth Reddig, both of New Rockford. (Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford)

Duane Weltikol
PLAZA -- Duane Weltikol, 66, Plaza, died July 17, 1996, in a Minot hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Spring Valley Lutheran Church, rural Plaza, with burial in the church cemetery.
