BELFIELD -- Robert J. Wazny, 52, Glasgow, Mont., died March 19, 1997, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Wednesday at St. Demitrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, rural Belfield. Further arrangements are pending at Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson.

Ethel Nash
DEVILS LAKE -- Ethel P. Nash, 92, Devils Lake, died March 19, 1997, in the Devils Lake nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Devils Lake, with burial in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, rural Webster.

She is survived by one sister, Alice Larson, Bismarck. (Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake)

Elvira White
GRENORA -- Elvira White, 94, Grenora, died March 19, 1997, in the Crosby nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Grenora, with burial in Grenora Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Schultz, San Lorenzo, Calif.; and one son, Jim, Grenora. (Everson Funeral Home, Williston)

Dan Lachenmeier
Dan Lachenmeier, 34, Bismarck, died March 21, 1997, at his home of heart failure. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary United Methodist Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Jim Cissell officiating. Spring burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Dan was born Feb. 24, 1963, in Bismarck to Albert and Alice (Zerr) Lachenmeier. He graduated from Bismarck High School in 1981. Dan was a member of Bismarck Eagles Club and Bismarck Umpires Association. At the time of his death, he was working at Capital Surplus and Roughrider Security.

He is survived by his mother, Alice; one brother, Albert; three sisters, Marlys Hogue, Sue Lachenmeier and Shari Lachenmeier; six nieces; many aunts, uncles and other relatives; and step-family, John, Jim, Richard and Joanne Irvin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert.

Jeffrey Jennings
Jeffrey J. Jennings, 43, Bismarck, formerly of Washburn, died March 21, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Washburn, with the Rev. Phil Lint officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Washburn.

Honorary pallbearers will be "nephews" Travis and Taylor Huck and Benjamin Jennings and all the staff of the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center. Active pallbearers are Brick and Boe Winn, Joe Faber, Joe Jennings, Jason Martin and David Ronderos. Music will be provided by Ethel Mart, organist, Barb Fredrickson, soloist, and Linda Schmidt, pianist.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn, where a family service will be at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before services in the church.

Jeffrey J. Jennings was born May 13, 1953, in Bismarck to Paul and Shirley (Hedstrom) Jennings. He attended Washburn Public School and graduated in 1971. In 1975, he graduated from North Dakota State University with an education degree in vocational agriculture. He then taught vocational agriculture in Medina.

While teaching, he met Charlene Martin. They were married Aug. 7, 1976, in Brandon, Minn. They lived in Washburn where Jeffrey was engaged in farming with his father, Paul, and brother, Bill. In December 1976, he became disabled following complications from brain surgery. In July 1977, he became a resident of Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck, where he resided until his death. During those years, Jeffrey enjoyed outings with his wife, Charlene, and family. He especially enjoyed the special attention he received from the staff at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Charlene, Bismarck; his parents, Paul and Shirley Jennings, Washburn; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph "Bill" and Judy Jennings, Bismarck, and Barry and Courtney Jennings, Winnetka, Ill.; one sister and brother-in-law, Paulette and Mark Winn, Washburn; 16 very special nieces and nephews; one great grand niece; two great grand nephews; and many caring friends at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; one nephew, Bond; and one niece, Brittany.

Robert Doepke
WILTON -- Robert L. Doepke, 61, rural Wilton, died March 21, 1997, in the Turtle Lake hospital after a lengthy illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Washburn Memorial Hall. Burial will be in Wing Cemetery, rural Washburn.

He is survived by his wife, LeeAnn; one son, Wesley, Wilton; one daughter, Darcie Hanneman, San Diego, Calif.; five sisters, Myrtle Reimers, Washburn, Marlys Allen, Lynnwood, Wash., Beverly Hermle, Omaha, Neb., Audrey Pauling, Edgeley, and Shirley Eman, Bismarck; and four brothers, Kenneth, Mandan, Donald, Fergus Falls, Mont., Rodney, Jamestown, and David, Polson, Mont. Rudy Perleberg
BUCHANAN -- Rudy W. Perleberg, 83, Buchanan, died March 22, 1997, in a Jamestown hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown. Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.

He is survived by two sons, Larry, Buchanan, and Lyle, Rapid City, S.D.; one daughter, Shirley Job, Bismarck; two sisters, Linda Beutow and LuElla Gushwa, both of Jamestown; and two brothers, Arthur and Walter, both of Jamestown. (Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown)

DICKINSON -- Kaye A. Cain, 46, Benicia, Calif., formerly of Dickinson, died March 21, 1997, in a Walnut Creek, Calif., hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. MST Wednesday at Queen of Peace Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending with Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson.

Donna Evenson
Donna J. Evenson, 80, Mandan, died March 21, 1997, in the Mandan hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan. Further arrangements are pending.

Frank Wolfe
DICKINSON -- Frank J. Wolfe, 92, Dickinson, died March 22, 1997, in the Dickinson hospital. Arrangements are pending with Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson.

Esther Wiesinger
Esther Wiesinger, 61, Lemmon, S.D., died March 22, 1997, in the Hettinger hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. MST Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lemmon. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Lemmon.

She is survived by her husband, Delbert; three daughters, Delretta Halvorson, Lake Poinsett, S.D., Dianna Abadayan, Shawnee, Kan., and Dorri Jordan, Salem, S.D.; three brothers, Albert Seidel, White Butte, S.D., Ted Seidel, Bismarck, and Henry Seidel, Oakes; and three sisters, Tillie Hinton, Glendive, Mont., and Martha Schmierer and Louise Jess, both of Lemmon. Donna Evenson
Donna J. Evenson, 80, died March 21, 1997, in the Mandan hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan. Following the service, lunch will be served at the Mandan Eagles.

Donna was born June 10, 1916, in Devils Lake, the daughter of Axel and Hilma (Westburg) Erickson. She graduated from Moorhead High School and Interstate Business College. On March 17, 1938, she married Marvin A. Evenson in Moorhead. They lived briefly in Billings, Mont., and then in South St. Paul, Minn., before moving back to Moorhead in 1949. They lived and worked in Moorhead before moving to the Bismarck-Mandan area in 1970, where they have lived since. Donna and Marvin recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.

Donna was always on the go, involved in a variety of activities. She was past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Moorhead and was also actively involved in the Sons of Norway, performing in a folk dancing group. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, golfing and visiting with her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin; one son and daughter-in-law, Edwin and Dolores, Orlando, Fla.; three daughters and one son-in-law, Kay and Dave Gast, Bismarck, Sue Henry, Sheridan, Wyo., and Pam Evenson, Sioux Falls, S.D.; 10 grandchildren, Jessica and Sarah Henry, Anne and Dan Gast, Ron Permann, Lauri, Dan and Lisa Evenson, and Lydia and David Goldsmith; and one sister, Margaret Fugle, Moorhead.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Sons of Norway Foundation or the Anne Carlson Center for Children.

Anthony Schlosser
Anthony Schlosser, 42, 1120 S. Third St., died March 22, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital after a long illness. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Church of Ascension, with the Rev. Marvin Klemmer officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at Eastgate Funeral Service, where a rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services.

Anthony was born Jan. 16, 1955, in Bismarck, the son of Anton and Alice (Baumgartner) Schlosser. He grew up and attended school in Bismarck. Anthony was quite a character, who had a contagious laugh and loved to have fun. He dearly loved his family, and children.

He is survived by four children and one daughter-in-law, Anthony and Christie Campagna, Tana, Travis and Tony Schlosser, all of Mandan; one granddaughter, Chantise Campagna; his parents, Anton and Alice, Bismarck; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Germaine and Phil Leyer, Colorado Springs, Colo., Carol and Rolf Svanes, Kintyre, and Julie and Mark Wassink, Williston; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ken.

Frank Miller
Frank L. Miller, 91, 302 15th St. N.W., Mandan, died March 23, 1997, in the Mandan hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Church of St. Joseph, Mandan, with the Rev. Robert E. Feeney officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a parish vigil at 7:30 and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 8.

Frank was born June 16, 1905, in St. Anthony, the son of Frank A. and Mary (Brigl) Miller. He was raised and educated in St. Anthony. On June 29, 1931, he married Mary Devine in Grand Forks. After their marriage they farmed in the St. Anthony and Huff areas until 1949. They farmed in the Crown Butte area until 1993, when they moved to Mandan. Frank served as a Morton County Assessor from 1963-1967. He also served on the Board of Trustees for the Mandan Golden Age Club, and as a county commissioner from 1968-1977. Frank was a charter member of the Board of Morton County Rural Fire Department, and a life member of Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Marie, Bismarck, Duane and Judy, and Kenneth "Bud" and Beno, all of Mandan; one daughter and son-in-law, Jeannette and Tom Frohlich, Mandan; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Hildegard Miller, Mandan; and four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lucy and Leonard Rebenitsch, Fort Rice, Frances and Jake Geiss, Anaheim, Calif., Theresa Mann, Minot, and Rozella Schlinger, Bismarck.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Albert, Edward, Tony, Martin and Joe; and two sisters, Carolyn Schwinghammer and Anna Rebenitsch.

Martha Froelich
Martha Froelich, 83, Phoenix, died March 22, 1997, in her home. Services will be held at noon Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Al Leary officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Tuesday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a Christian Mothers rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a parish vigil at 8.

Martha was born Feb. 22, 1914, in Huff, the daughter of Jesse H. and Mary (Schmidt) Collis. She attended rural schools through the eighth grade and high school at Lake Crystal, Minn., and Selfridge, before graduating from Mandan High School in 1930. She continued her education at Dickinson State College, Bismarck State College, and graduated from Mary College in Bismarck on May 23, 1973, with a degree in elementary education. She taught in rural schools near Mandan, Huff and Solen. On Dec. 26, 1934, she was united in marriage to Joseph Froelich at St. Anthony. They moved to Selfridge where her husband was employed by Collis and Ellingson Garage. She continued to teach school at Selfridge and Fort Yates until her retirement in 1977 after 33 years of teaching experience. They then moved to Phoenix in 1977.

She was a member of Selfridge Homemakers Club for 55 years, and a member of St. Philomena Christian Mothers Society at Selfridge and North Dakota Teachers Association.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Margy, Mandan; two daughters and one son-in-law, Maureen and Bob Yantzer, and Lynn Kraft, all of Phoenix; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Skyler, Lameul and Muriel; two sisters, Helen Tokach and Esther Amick; and one grandson, Terry Froelich.

The family prefers memorials to American Cancer Society and Hospice Association.

Mary Young
Mary Lee Young, 60, Bismarck, died March 21, 1997, in a Bismarck nursing home. Services will be held Thursday in Emmett, Idaho.

Mary was born April 5, 1936, in Emmett, the daughter of Jess J. and Edna (English) Dill. She was raised and educated in Emmett, where she graduated from Emmett High School. In 1954, she married James R. Young. James died in 1992.

Mary is survived by one son, James Rodger Young, Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; one daughter, Donya Lee Prather, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Jerry Dill, Emmett; and three sisters, Doris Henry, Everett, Wash., Edna Schultz, Martinez, Ga., and Lorraine Sawyer, Weiser, Idaho. Thomas Willoughby
Thomas C. Willoughby, 79, Bismarck, died March 23, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. Further arrangements are pending at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Frank Balvitsch
GLENFIELD -- Frank Balvitsch, 63, Glenfield, died March 22, 1997, in the Carrington hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Carrington. Further arrangements are pending at Evans Funeral home, Carrington.

Verna Haring
HEBRON -- Verna Haring, 75, Hebron, died March 23, 1997, in the Richardton hospital. Arrangements are pending at Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron.

Marguerite Morland
BOWMAN -- Marguerite E. Morland, 79, Bowman, died March 25, 1997, in her home. Services will be at 10 a.m. MST Friday at Bowman Lutheran Church, Bowman, with the Rev. Galen Strand officiating. Syneva Arthison will serve as organist, with Karen Larson as soloist. Burial will be in Bowman Cemetery.

A family service will begin at 8 tonight at Krebsbach Funeral Service, Bowman.

Marguerite Morland was born Sept. 28, 1917, at Bowman, the daughter of Nels and Minnie (Hegge) Boxeth. She was raised on the family farm four miles southwest of Bowman. She received her elementary education in Bowman and graduated from Bowman High School in 1936. After graduation, she moved to Seattle where she worked for General Food Sales Co. Marguerite married Jack Moore in January 1943. Jack was killed during World War II. Marguerite moved back to Bowman in 1944, where she worked as Bowman County Register of Deeds and County Judge. She married Elmer V. Morland, June 4, 1949, at Bowman Lutheran Church, Bowman. They resided in Bowman where she worked as secretary for her husband, Elmer, in their law office. She held that position until Elmer's death in 1980.

She was a member of Bowman Lutheran Church, where she served on the church council, and was a member of Bowman Lutheran Church Women. She was a member of Bowman Federated Club, bridge club and Bowman American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bridge and loved to travel, which took her to many parts of the world. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and will be missed by her family and many friends and neighbors in the Bowman community.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jay, Seattle, and Bob and Brenda, Bowman; two daughters and one son-in-law, Judy Morland, Seattle, and Pat and Don Dyk, Bowman; one sister, Florence Domagala, Red Wing, Minn.; two brothers, Walter, Bowman, and Herman, Los Angeles; seven grandchildren, Michelle Morland, Hannah, Erika and Brennan Dyk, and Hilary, Daniel and Allison Morland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer; and one brother, Ervin Boxeth.

Pallbearers will be Monte Freitag, Charlie Hilton, Berk Bowman, Robert Hilton, Kenny Morland and Duane Domagala. Honorary pallbearers will be her friends and neighbors.

Audrey Huber
Audrey Huber, 57, Mandan, died March 25, 1997, in her home after a long illness. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Ashley, with the Rev. Martin Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Zeeland.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today and will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Audrey was born Aug. 10, 1939, on a farm near Java, S.D., the daughter of Art and Lydia (Oster) Himmerich. She attended rural school, and in 1955, the family moved to Aberdeen, S.D. She worked at Tiffany's Laundry in Aberdeen. On Sept. 1, 1957, she married Edwin A. Huber at Aberdeen. They farmed west of Zeeland. She worked at Strasburg Nursing Home for a number of years. Mr. Huber died March 4, 1990. She then attended North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton and graduated in 1993 as a medical records technician. She was presented with a farm displacement award by the Secretary of Education in Washington, D.C. She worked at Mid-Dakota Clinic in Bismarck in the medical records department. She was a certified nurse's assistant at St. Vincent's Nursing Home in Bismarck.

She is survived by her parents, Art and Lydia Himmerich, Aberdeen; five sons and one daughter-in-law, Gregory, Atlanta, Brian, Bismarck, Kevin, Zeeland, Scott, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Terry and Corinna, Bismarck; two daughters and one son-in-law, Cheryl and Jeffery Heppner, Broomfield, Colo., and June Ulmer, Ashley; one grandchild; a special friend, Jim Borchert, Mandan; two brothers, Allen, Phoenix, and Clyde, Aberdeen; eight sisters, Sharon Conn, Duvall, Wash., Mavis Goldade, Kathy Kienow and Lois Hettich, all of Aberdeen, Dorothy Johnson, Aloha, Ore., Linda Austin, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Sheila LaTosh, Westminster, Colo., and Denise Rausch, Sheridan, Wyo.

Dorothy Pollock
POLLOCK, S.D. -- Dorothy Joy Pollock, 59, Pollock, died March 25, 1997, in her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church, with burial in Spring Valley Cemetery, Pollock.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; one son, Bill, Pollock; one daughter, Lynn Wesely, Glasgow, Mont.; three brothers, Clinton Putnam, Fort Yates, Bob Putnam, Skull Valley, Ariz., and Walt Putnam, Laurel, Mont.; and six sisters, Nina Lawler, Linton, Mabel Haynie, Circle, Mont., Norma Heyne, Hazelton, Bernice Wagner, Grenada Hills, Calif., Florence Larson, Homer, Alaska, and Glennys Ulschak, McHenry, Ill. (Myers Funeral Home, Linton)

Barbara Feist Weninger
HAGUE -- Barbara Feist Weninger, 89, Hague, died March 25, 1997, in the Strasburg nursing home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hague, with burial in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Zeeland.

She is survived by three sons, Charles Feist, Zeeland, Robert Feist, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Richard Feist, Mobridge, S.D.; and three daughters, Joan Weichel, Prescott Valley, Ariz., Rose Eberle, Hague, and Clara Feist, Zeeland. (Myers Funeral Home, Linton)
