James Feigel
James Harvey Feigel, 68, 114 N. Third St., died Sept. 21, 1997, in the Turtle Lake hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. CDT Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery, Halliday.

James H. Feigel was born Oct. 20, 1928, on a farm near Halliday, the son of Nick and Olive (Trousdale) Feigel. He was raised in a family who experienced the Great Depression. They were able to share love and fun amongst one another. Jim attended school in Halliday and participated in activities such as Boy Scouts. He also did woodworking crafts in the National Youth Administration Shop, which was supervised by his father. As a young man, Jim worked with his father as a carpenter for several years before entering the U.S. Army in 1952. He served in the United States and Korea before being discharged in 1954. When he returned to Halliday he continued working with his father until 1960 when he moved to Bismarck. While living in Bismarck he continued his interest in the carpentry business with his brother-in-law, Wallace Wheeler. Jim also worked at the Elks and American Legion clubs and for Schulz's Creamery as a meat cutter. He met and married Dolores Riedlinger in Bismarck on April 27, 1962. When he retired, Jim moved into The Kensington, where he again enjoyed woodworking. He found many friends at The Kensington who all appreciated him for his quiet manner, easy going nature and good humor.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. We take comfort in knowing that he is at peace with our Lord.

He is survived by four sisters and brothers-in-law, Dolores and George Ensz, Bismarck, Janet and Bud Loehner, Gresham, Ore., JoAnne and Wallace Wheeler, Bismarck, and Sharon and Dennis Neuburger, Beulah; and one brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Margaret, Springfield, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.
