She is survived by two sons, Roger and Gordon, both of Williston.

Mae Thompson
UNDERWOOD -- Mae Thompson, 94, Underwood, died Jan. 21, 1998, in the Underwood nursing home. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, at United Methodist Church, Underwood. Burial will be in Underwood Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Dorthe Lange, Jamestown; and two sons, Raymond, Loveland, Colo., and Clifford, Tempe, Ariz. (Goetz Funeral Home, Underwood)

Minnie Davis
HAZEN -- Minnie Davis, 100, Hazen, died Jan. 22, 1998, in the Beulah nursing home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. MST Wednesday, at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Hazen. Further arrangements are pending with Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen.

Harold Parks
CARRINGTON -- Harold Parks, 69, Carrington, died Jan. 21, 1998, in the Carrington health center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Carrington. Further arrangements are pending with Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

Lynn Laemmle
Lynn Laemmle, 46, 5400 93rd St., Bismarck, died Jan. 22, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, at Church of Ascension, Bismarck. Further arrangements are pending with Dakota Memorial Chapel, Bismarck.

Agnes Fox
WHITE SHIELD -- Agnes Fox, 81, White Shield, died Jan. 22, 1998, in the Garrison hospital. Arrangements are pending with Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison.

Randy Gullickson
Randy Gullickson, 47, 1608 Sixth Ave. N.W., Mandan, died Jan. 21, 1998, from injuries sustained in a farm accident near Solen. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, with full committal services by the Mandan Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a rosary will be said at 6:45 p.m., followed by a parish vigil at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services, at the church.

Randy was born April 18, 1951 in Bismarck, the son of Clarence Dale and Vivian (Kronberger) Gullickson. He was raised and educated in Solen, graduating from Solen High School in 1969. He enlisted in the National Guard from July 23, 1970, to April 17, 1998. Randy owned and operated a ranch in the Solen area and had been presently working as a laborer in construction for ICI of Bismarck. He belonged to the Local No. 580 since April 29, 1977.

Randy enjoyed spending time on his ranch. His work was his hobby and lifestyle. He had an ability for mechanical and carpentry work and liked Ford pickups. His outgoing personality and sense of humor will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his former spouse, Linda Gullickson, Bismarck; two sons, Troy and Kelly, Bismarck; one daughter, Krissy Gullickson, Bismarck; one grandchild, Joe Gullickson; his mother, Vivian Gullickson, Breien; his father, Clarence Dale Gullickson, Mandan; two brothers, Dean, Minneapolis, and Don, Bismarck; and five sisters, Eileen Hillier, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, Faye Richter, Fargo, Lynn Jundt, Minneapolis, Debra Gullickson, Breien, and Michelle Anderson, Atlanta.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Hildur Bitner
Hildur Bitner, 87, 817 N. 26th St., Bismarck, died Jan. 20, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Faith Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Joel Sherer officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Riverview Cemetery, Wilton.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Hildur Stenquist was born June 25, 1910, at the family home near Wilton, the daughter of Axel and Emma (Anderson) Stenquist. She graduated from Wilton High School in 1929. Following high school she attended Hair Design School in Minneapolis. On Dec. 14, 1931, she married William Bitner in Bismarck. They homesteaded near Wilton before moving to Wilton in 1938. In 1951 they moved to Riverdale where William worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the construction of Garrison Dam. She taught Sunday school and Bible school at Painted Woods, Wilton and Riverdale. They retired in 1970 and moved to Bismarck. Mr. Bitner died Dec. 14, 1988.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Irma, Bismarck; two daughters and sons-in-law, Edna and Gailen Narum, Minot, and Jan and Dick Berger, Bismarck; one sister, Ruth Hartl, Burke, Va.; 11 grandchildren, Mark and Birgit Bitner, Perth, Australia, Robyn and Doug Wonnenberg, and Brian and Lori Bitner, all of Bismarck, Craig and Julie Bitner, Mandan, Keith and Renae Bitner, Devils Lake, Sarah and Tom Ames, Fairfield, Ohio, Scott and Kathy Narum, Cheyenne, Wyo., Richard Narum, Jamestown, Julie and Cory Harmon, Billings, Mont., and Theresa and Darren Berger, Bismarck; nine great-grandchildren, Daniel and Jonathan Bitner, Perth, John, Michael, Connie and Mark Wonnenberg, and Brandon and Larissa Bitner, all of Bismarck, and Nicole Narum, Cheyenne; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Edith Berry, Astrid Johnson and Edna Brostrom; one half-brother, Einar Nordstrom; and one granddaughter, Sherrie Narum.

Roy Syhre
ASHLEY -- Roy E. Syhre, 80, Ashley, died Jan. 15, 1998, in the Ashley nursing home. Services were held Jan. 20 at Zion Lutheran Church, Ashley.

He is survived by his wife, Lenora; three daughters, Jeanette Mausehund, Linton, Carolyn Bracchi, Redmond, Wash., and Valerie Brown, Mora, Minn.; one son, David, Houston, Texas; and two sisters, Alice Wingate, Lakewood, Colo., and LaVonne Dill, Mott.

Michael Quellhorst
POLLOCK, S.D. -- Michael Raymond Quellhorst, 49, Pollock, died Jan. 22, 1998, in the Linton hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church, Pollock, with burial in Spring Valley Cemetery, Pollock.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; one daughter, Frankie Ryckman; one son, Kale, Pollock; his parents, Raymond and Kathryn Quellhorst, Pollock; six sisters, Deborah Gorsuch, Kingston, Tenn., Belinda Granger, Richland Center, Wis., Julie Nelson, Boscobel, Wis., Mary Lutz, Bismarck, Sheila Plaggemeyer, Richland Center, and Mitzi Ryckman, Pollock; and four brothers, Thom, Liberty, Texas, Chris, Tripoli, Wis., John, Soldiers Grove, Wis., and Ben, Magic Valley, Idaho. Henry Walker
Henry Owen Walker, 59, Gillette, Wyo., formerly of Bismarck, died Jan. 20, 1998, in Gillette of natural causes. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin one hour before services at the funeral home. Further arrangements are pending.

Marian Schatz
BEACH -- Marian Schatz, 71, Beach, died Jan. 23, 1998, in the Dickinson hospital. Memorial services will be held Friday in Beach. Further arrangements are pending at Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson.

Melvin Brademeyer
Melvin Brademeyer, 75, Westport, Ore., died Jan. 7, 1998, in his home. Services were held Jan. 16 at Twin Harbors Baptist Church, Westport.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel; and three sisters, Ora Schmidt, Goodrich, Ann Jacobs, Tempe, Ariz., and Marion Harding, Normal, Ill.

Frances Bethke
Frances Bethke, 72, 201 14th Ave. N.W., Mandan, died Jan. 23, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan.

Vonnie Weisenburger
NEW ROCKFORD -- Vonnie Weisenburger, 66, New Rockford, died Jan. 22, 1998, in the Devils Lake hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at New Rockford school gym, with burial in Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; four sons, Peter, Clifton, Texas, Steven, New Rockford, Michael, Laramie, Wyo., and Kenneth, Minneapolis; two daughters, Luann Rimmereid, New Rockford, and Brenda Schumann, Fargo; four brothers, Herman and Gene, both of Pueblo, Colo., Jerry, Warwick, and Gaylen, Fort Pierre, S.D.; and three sisters, Averiel Wood, Warwick, Muriel Stilwell, Tega Cay, S.C., and Glenna Gjestvang, New Rockford. She is survived by two sons, John Jr. and Keith, both of White Shield; four daughters, Gloria Brennan, Schaumburg, Ill., Ardith Fox and Yolanda Bearstail, both of White Shield, and Sara Young Bird, Fort Yates; and two brothers, Lloyd Everett, White Shield, and Elmer Everett, Apple Valley, Calif. Victor Pirkl
DICKINSON -- Victor Pirkl, 85, Dickinson, died Jan. 23, 1998, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MST Monday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson.

Albert Nix
WIBAUX, Mont. -- Albert L. Nix, 86, Wibaux, died Jan. 22, 1998, in the Wibaux nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Wibaux.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; four daughters, Angie Ross, Bismarck, Judy Nix, Conifer, Colo., Joyce Roberts, Helena, Mont., and Andree Nix, Denver, Colo.; two sons, Larry, Bartlesville, Okla., and Patrick, Bozeman, Mont. (Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home, Beach)

WILLISTON -- Agnes French, 99, Williston, died Jan. 23, 1998, in the Williston hospital. Arrangements are pending at Everson Funeral Home, Williston.

Walter Weixel
WEST FARGO -- Walter Weixel, 68, West Fargo, died Jan. 22, 1998, in a Fargo hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, West Fargo, with burial at 4:30 p.m. Monday in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, where a prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Walter was born April 16, 1929, in Burnstad. He moved to Bismarck in 1933 where he grew up and attended school. Walter married Mary Nordstrom, Nov. 29, 1948, in Bismarck. He worked for Wachter Transfer of Bismarck until he was drafted into the Army in 1952. He served in Korea until 1953. Upon his discharge he returned to Bismarck and began working for Northwest Beverages in 1972. He retired in 1991.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Terri, Pueblo, Colo.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Mike Mazzola, San Antonio, Texas, and Dianne and Steve Nirschl, West Fargo; six grandchildren, Stefani, Tiffani, Cody, Christopher, Bryan and Jerry; one great-granddaughter, Kendra; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Charlie, and Arthur and Marie, all of Bismarck; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Annie Horning, Bismarck, Ina Dorroh, Corvallis, Ore., and Katherine and Anton J. Doll, Bismarck; and one sister-in-law, Frances Weixel, Bismarck.

Lorine Wilhelm
DICKINSON -- Lorine Wilhelm, 74, Dickinson, died Jan. 22, 1998, in Dickinson. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MST Monday at St. John United Church of Christ, Hebron, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. MST Sunday at Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Lorine Brandt was born Aug. 16, 1923, in Kramer, to Andrew and Christina (Gartner) Brandt. She was raised and educated in Kramer. She worked at San Haven for a time then came to the Glen Ullin area where she taught rural school. She married Frank Wilhelm, July 10, 1943, at Bottineau. They farmed north of Glen Ullin. They retired from farming in 1968 and moved into Hebron where Lorine was engaged in the cafe business. She later worked at the school as a cook. They owned a motel until 1977. She worked at Marian Manor in Glen Ullin until 1982, when she started working in home health. Frank died in March 1982. In 1993 she moved to Dickinson where she has resided since.

She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and the Womens Guild.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Bernadine and Richard Roth, Hebron; one son, Kelly, and his fiance, Chrisy, Dodge; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Alvina Kuebler, Lilly Fitchner and Minnie Moum, all of Bottineau, and Emma Stroehl, Mesa, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; and one sister.

Catherine Schaaf
GLEN ULLIN -- Catherine Schaaf, 88, Glen Ullin, died Jan. 22, 1998, in Elgin. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday at the church, where a prayer service will begin at 7 p.m.

Catherine Braun was born Aug. 19, 1909, in Haymarsh, the daughter of Reiner and Theresa (Hartinger) Braun. She was raised at Glen Ullin and educated at Sacred Heart School. She worked out as domestic help until her marriage to August Schaaf Sr., May 20, 1930, in Bismarck. They farmed near Glen Ullin. Kate enjoyed her garden on the farm. In 1965, they moved into town where she enjoyed crafts, reading and playing cards. After retirement Kate especially enjoyed going fishing. Mr. Schaaf died July 7, 1981.

She was a member of Live and Learn Homemakers, Glen Ullin Homemakers and Christian Mothers.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Leah, Houston, Texas, August Jr. and Leona, Glen Ullin, and Orvil and Paulette, Eldorado Springs, Mo.; one daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Al Gartner, Glen Ullin; one son-in-law, Marvin Gribbons, Helena, Mont.; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one brother, Reinhold, Bismarck; and one sister, Rita Filibeck, Glen Ullin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Lillian; three brothers; three sisters; and two great-grandchildren.

Raquel Hanley
FORT YATES -- Raquel L. Hanley, 28, Fort Yates, died Jan. 21, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. James Episcopal Church, Cannon Ball, with the Rev. John Floberg officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; one daughter, Ranita; three sons, Monte, Cole and John; her mother, Matilda Two Bears, Fort Yates; four sisters, Alicia Noisy Hawk, Mobridge, S.D., Deborah Two Bears and Williamette Two Bears both of Bismarck, and Lorna Two Bears, Wakpala, S.D.; and one brother, Myron Two Bears, Bismarck. Lynn Laemmle
Lynn D. Laemmle, 46, 5400 93rd St., Bismarck, died Jan. 22, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Church of the Ascension, Bismarck, with the Rev. Marvin Klemmer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Dakota Memorial Chapel, where a vigil will begin at 8 p.m. Sunday. A rosary will be said at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the church.

Lynn was born Jan. 31, 1951, in Bismarck, the son of Carl and Lois (Peterson) Laemmle. He was raised and educated in Apple Creek Township. As a youngster, Lynn was active in Apple Creek 4-H. He attended Bismarck High School, graduating in 1969. He then went on to attend and graduate from Bismarck Junior College, with a degree in auto body repair. He married Gerri (Geroldine) Wetzstein, Oct. 2, 1971, at the Church of St. Joseph in Mandan. Lynn worked as a flagman for a crop sprayer, as an apprentice auto body repairman for Don Stewart, and a painter at Andre's Industry and Melroe. He then started his own auto body shop calling it Lynn's Body Repair. He was currently working for Medcenter One in environmental services.

Lynn enjoyed using his computers, traveling with his family, playing his guitar and listening to music. He also enjoyed attending car shows. Lynn's greatest joy was spending his spare time with his daughter, Trish, who was born March 19, 1977. They attended such activities as gymnastics, cheerleading and concerts.

He is survived by his wife, Gerri; one daughter, Trish, and her boyfriend, Brian Frank; his parents, Carl and Lois Laemmle, Apple Creek; one sister and brother-in-law, Carla and Mark Gartner, Bismarck; one brother, Russell, Junction City, Kan.; his grandmother, Eldora Peterson, Bismarck; many nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Bertha Wetzstein, Mott; one sister-in-law, Ralphine Friesz, New Prague, Minn.; and one brother-in-law, Kerwin Wetzstein, Bismarck.

He was preceded in death by three grandparents; his father-in-law, Ralph Wetzstein; one brother-in-law, Karl Wetzstein; and one nephew, LeRoy Friesz.
