Alvina Granas
WISHEK -- Alvina Granas, 92, Wishek, and formerly of Napoleon, died Sept. 7, 1998, in the Wishek nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Napoleon, with the Rev. Bradley Stoltenow officiating. Burial will be in Napoleon City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday, and 9 a.m.-noon Friday, both at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Alvina was born on Nov. 25, 1905, in rural McIntosh County, near Ashley, the daughter of Christ and Christina (Rau) Wolff. Alvina moved to Wishek with her parents, and received her elementary education in Wishek Public Schools. While working at the Soo Line Beanery in Wishek, she met her husband, George Granas, whom she married on April 29, 1926, at Wishek. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Napoleon, where they made their home. Alvina started working for the Napoleon Public Schools as a cook and later served as head cook over the hot lunch program for many years. Mr. Granas preceded her in death on April 21, 1971. Alvina continued to live in Napoleon until her health failed and she moved to the Wishek Nursing Home in June of 1995.

Alvina was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Napoleon, St. Matthew's Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Victory Homemakers Club of Napoleon.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Elmer Ritter, Wishek, and Eileen and Robert Hickcox, Bismarck; seven grandchildren, Bruce Ritter, Cathy Laine, Sharon Dempsey, Cori Jo Evanson, Rodney Hickcox, Gary Hickcox, and David Hickcox; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Dalbert and Elaine Wolff, Vancouver, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother and one sister. (Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon)

Vernon Olson
GRAFTON -- Vernon S. Olson, 84, Grafton, died Sept. 5, 1998, in a Park River health center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Grafton Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl; his daughters, Patricia Hansen, Fargo, and Carol Zelewski and Sandra Lietz, both of Grafton; his sons, Richard, Washburn, and Gordon, Bismarck; his brothers, Alan and Willard, both of Sun City West, Ariz.; and his sisters, Esther Bergquam, Palm Desert, Calif., and Helen Cates, Sun Valley, Calif. Reinhold Hoffman
ASHLEY -- Reinhold Hoffman, 73, Ashley, died Sept. 7, 1998, in Ashley. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Zion Lutheran Church, Ashley. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys; two sons, Denny, Ashley, and Ronald, Jamestown; two daughters, Nora Hoffman and Mary Hoffman, both of Ashley; one brother, Fred, Aurora, Minn.; and two sisters, Maggie Babitzke, Areil, Wash., and Clara Babitzke, Gackle. (Carlsen Funeral Home, Ashley)

Bill Haukedahl
WILDROSE -- Bill Haukedahl, 42, Wildrose, died Sept. 6, 1998, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Grace Lutheran Church, Wildrose. Burial will be in Wildrose Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; four children, Nathan, Resa, Cameron and Zachary, all at home; two sisters, Carolyn Hedlund, Williston, and Diana Heller, Fargo. (Everson Funeral Home, Williston)

Pearl Voigt
RHAME -- Pearl C. Voigt, 92, Rhame, died Sept. 7, 1998, in a Bowman care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MDT Thursday, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Rhame. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, Robert and Harold, both of Dickinson, and Clair, Coleharbor; one daughter, Eunice Braaten, Coleharbor; and one sister, Stella Fossum, Rhame. (Krebsbach Funeral Service, Bowman)

Anna Vaule
DICKINSON -- Anna Vaule, 78, Dickinson, died Sept. 5, 1998, in a Dickinson nursing home. Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. MDT today, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dickinson. Burial will be in Cyprus Lawn Memorial Park, Everett Wash., on Friday.

She is survived by her brothers, John Schneider, Dickinson, Pete Schneider, Mansfield, Ohio, Andy Schneider, Dickinson, and Joe Schneider, Whitewood, S.D. (Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson)

Lydia Becker
BEULAH -- Lydia Becker, 85, Beulah, died Sept. 5, 1998, in the Beulah care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT today, at Beulah Congregational Church. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, south of Beulah.

She is survived by one son, Fred Buechler, Beulah; three brothers, Conrad Flemmer, Pick City, Ludwig Flemmer, Beulah, and George Flemmer, Beaverton, Ore.; and one sister, Esther Ott, Beulah. (Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah)

Evelyn Nelson
PARSHALL -- Evelyn J. Nelson, 87, Parshall, died Sept. 6, 1998, in a Minot nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at First Lutheran Church, Parshall, with burial in Parshall Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Wagner, Ray; one brother, Silas Sjol, Parshall; and one sister, Clara Reese, Plaza. (Johnson Funeral Home, Parshall)

Kathleen Johnson
Kathleen Gail (Anderson) Johnson, 65, formerly of Bismarck and Baldwin, died Aug. 27, 1998, in a Washington D.C. hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Aaron L. Johnson, Washington, D.C.; and two daughters, Paula Dachis, Columbia, Md., and Lynn Dodge, Washington D.C.

George Willett
WILLISTON -- George Willett, 93, Williston, died Sept. 8, 1998, in a Williston nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at Bethel Lutheran Home, Williston. Further arrangements are pending with Everson Funeral Home, Williston.

Wilbert Krause
HAZEN -- Wilbert Krause, 72, Hebron, died Sept. 7, 1998, at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Friday, at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Hazen. Further arrangements are pending with Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen.

Marjorie Wehler
JAMESTOWN -- Marjorie L. Wehler, 68, Jamestown, died Sept. 8, 1998 in a Jamestown hospital. Arrangements are pending with Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Edward Eliasson
Edward Eliasson, 80, Bismarck, died Sept. 8, 1998, in a local care center. Arrangements are pending with Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck.

Robert Curfman

Charlene Renae Turner
Charlene Renae Turner, stillborn daughter of Sherri Lindau and Wilbert Turner, was born July 10, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Paul Schwengler
NAPOLEON -- Paul O. Schwengler, 81, Bismarck, formerly of Napoleon, died July 11, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Ed Mosbrucker
DICKINSON -- Ed Mosbrucker, 72, Dickinson, died of stomach cancer Aug. 8, 1997, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Monday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Dickinson.

Christina Goehner
KULM -- Christina Goehner, 95, Kulm, died Aug. 8, 1997, in the Wishek hospital. Services will be held at 10;30 a.m. Monday at First Congregational Church, Kulm, with burial in Kulm Congregational Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; two sons, Norman, Bloomington, Minn., and Vernon, Spearfish, S.D.; one sister, Alice Stroebel, New Brighton, Minn.; and one brother, E.B. Rath, Phoenix. (Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm)

Regina Benson
Regina Benson, 93, 107 E. Bowen Ave., died Aug. 7, 1997, in the Glen Ullin nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with the Rev. Charlie Heidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be 1-9 p.m. today at Boelter Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today.

Regina Miller was born Aug. 14, 1903, at Towner, the daughter of Balzer and Regina (Schelie) Miller. She was raised and educated in the Towner area. She married Oscar Benson on Sept. 9, 1930. They lived in Minot before moving to Bismarck. In the 1950s, Regina worked for Oscar Will Seed House for several years. Mr. Benson died Dec. 17, 1962. In 1977 she moved into Crescent Manor in Bismarck.

She was a member of Retired Senior Volunteer Program for 11 years, and was honored as RSVP Volunteer of the Week by the United Way. She did volunteer work for North Dakota Lung Association, Medcenter One, State Aging Service, and wrapped gifts for the Optimist Club at Christmas Time. She worked in the Crescent Manor dining room for nine years.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Deloris and Gene Glass, Bismarck; three sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Juanita, Tempe, Ariz., Donald and Evelyn, Moorhead, Minn., and Dennis and Janice, Baldwin; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Catherine Selzler, Bemidji, Minn.; and one brother, Alfons Miller, Karlsruhe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar; two brothers; three sisters; and two grandchildren.

Kendra Tomac
Kendra Lee Tomac died Aug. 8, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital.

She is survived by her parents, Charles and Annette Tomac, Mandan; her brother, Carter Tomac, Bismarck; her grandparents, Wayne and Shirley Sauer, McIntosh, S.D., and Bob and Betty Tomac, Watauga, S.D.; and her great-grandmother, Clara Sauer, rural Carson. (Bismarck Funeral Home)
