She is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Ott, Karen Swearson and Carleen Pavley, all of Dickinson; one son, Stephen, Dickinson; four sisters, Josephine Klym and Polly Sivak, both of Dickinson, Sophie Anton, Great Falls, Mont., and Betty Brown, Vaughn, Mont.; and four brothers, George Gawryluk and Steve Gawryluk, both of Los Angeles, Raymond Gawryluk, Omaha, Neb., and Walter Gawryluk, Columbus, Mont. Casper R. Boehm, 83, Boca Raton, Fla., died July 17, 1997, in his home. Arrangements are pending at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan.

Hanna Wax
MINOT -- Hanna Rose Wax, the daughter of Mark and Jocelyn Wax, Minot, was stillborn July 19, 1997, in a Minot hospital. Graveside services will be held at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

She is survived by her parents, Mark and Jocelyn Wax; one sister, Mikaila Wax, at home; her grandparents, Dr. Joseph Wax, Minot, and Joseph and Sally Pulver, Beulah; and her great-grandmother, Ludmilla Kuhn, Dickinson. (Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot)

Paul Brendle
PARSHALL -- Paul Brendle, 36, Parshall, died July 21, 1997, in a Bethesda, Md. hospital of natural causes. Arrangements are pending at Johnson Funeral Home, Parshall.

Jesse Hokanson
WILLISTON -- Jesse W. Hokanson, 33, Williston, died July 20, 1997, in an automobile accident near Alexander. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, Williston, with burial in Riverview Cemetery.

HARVEY -- Helen Ripplinger, 73, Harvey, died July 21, 1997, in the Harvey hospital. Arrangements are pending at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Frances Haugen
Frances Haugen, 63, Mandan, died July 20, 1997, in Minot. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan. Further arrangements are pending at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.

Dorothy Andersen
LUVERNE -- Dorothy Andersen, 93, Luverne, died July 20, 1997, in the Valley City hospital. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Luverne Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jan Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Luverne Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday at Peterson-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home, Valley City, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Dorothy was born Oct. 31, 1903, near Grand Forks, the daughter of Chris and Margaret Marto. She married Jacob T. Andersen, Dec. 23, 1923, at Moorhead, Minn. They lived in Luverne where they were employed in operating a lumber yard and hardware store until 1954, when they retired to their farm near Luverne. Her husband died in 1958.

She is survived by one son, Jacob J., Luverne; one daughter, Mary Ann Miller, Bismarck; four granddaughters; two grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers; and three sisters.

Irene Minderlen
MINOT -- Irene Minderlen, 73, Clara City, Minn., formerly of Minot, died July 19, 1997, in the Clara City nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Murdock, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Reuben; one son, Douglas, Phoenix; one daughter, Brenda Klema, Kerkhoven, Minn.; and four sisters, Rose Winn, Washburn, Clare Hutchinson and Lorna Allex, both of Minot, and Dorothy Causey, Montrose, Colo. (Wing-Bain Funeral Home, Clara City)

Nadine Grebe
Nadine "Dean" Carley Grebe was promoted to glory July 6, 1997, in Omaha, Neb. A retired Salvation Army officer, she is survived by her husband, Curt Grebe; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lynette and Terry Maxhimer, Carlis Grebe, and Darilyn and Keven Beekley; one son and daughter-in-law, Kendal and Allison; one sister, Laverne Carley; one brother and sister-in-law, Alfred and Leila; and eight grandchildren.

The family prefers memorials to Major Curtis Grebe c/o Salvation Army, 2501 Center St., Omaha, Neb. 68105.

Lauretta Hughes
WILLISTON -- Lauretta E. Hughes, 70, Gresham, Ore., formerly of Williston, died July 17, 1997, in Gresham. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Riverview Cemetery, Williston.

She is survived by five daughters, Judy Warner, Gresham, Mary Anderson, Prineville, Ore., Theresa Stromme, Vancouver, Wash., Barbara Frye, Simms, Mont., and Rebecca Alverson, Pell City, Ala.; two sons, David, Vancouver, Wash., and Neil, Williston; three brothers, Elmer Pettis, Missoula, Mont., John Pettis, Hillsboro, Ore., and Russell Pettis, Milwaukee, Wis.; and four sisters, Mary Murphy, Portland, Ore., Dorothy Victor, Hillsboro, Ore., Lorainne Vatne, Renton, Wash., and Blanche Brockway, Aloha, Ore. Helen Ripplinger

Stanley Moen
ANETA -- Stanley I. Moen, 84, Aneta, died July 18, 1979, in a Grand Forks hospital. Services were held Tuesday at Valley Grove Lutheran Church, Kloten, with burial in Valley Grove Cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, Michael, Duluth, Minn., and Gary, Bismarck; two brothers, Kenneth and Gordon, both of Aneta; and one sister, Beulah Miller, Binford. (Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home, McVille)

Tebrin Tergesen
LISBON -- Tebrin Tergesen, 91, Lisbon, died July 21, 1997, in Lisbon. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, with burial in the Napoleon Cemetery.

He is survived by two sisters, Edna Nather, Livermore, Calif., and Nellie Schuchard, Billings, Mont.; and two brothers, Newell, Mandan, and Norman, Tracy, Calif.

Magdalene Huber
WISHEK -- Magdalene Huber, 67, died July 21, 1997, in Pierre, S.D. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Wishek, with burial in Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek.

She is survived by her husband, Theodore; five sons, Dennis and Reid, both of Pierre, Darwin and Earl, both of Tucson, Ariz., and Myron, Wishek; and five sisters, Anna Hieb, Aberdeen, S.D., Eleanor Janke, Jamestown, Violet Frank, Stockton, Calif., Delvide Obenauer, Jamestown, and Phyllis Freier, Minneapolis; and four brothers, Edward Obenauer, Valley Springs, Calif., Clifford Obenauer, Washington, Delbert Obenauer, Ashley, and Herbert Obenauer, Jamestown. Iris Olson
DICKINSON -- Iris Ruth Olson, 95, Dickinson, died July 22, 1997, in a Dickinson nursing home. Services will be at Mount Republic Chapel of Peace, Silver Gate, Mont., on Aug. 2.

Curtis Pelton
DICKINSON -- Curtis Pelton, 58, Dickinson, died July 19, 1997, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. MDT Thursday at Normana Lutheran Church, Dunn Center, with burial in Dunn Center Cemetery.

He is survived by two daughters, Patti Pelton, Killdeer, and Jodi Pelton, Dickinson; one son, Gregg, Dickinson; two brothers, Walter and Frank, both of Killdeer; and two sisters, Janet Benz, Dunn Center, and Bonnie Pelton, Killdeer. (Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson)

Jenny Filkowski
BELFIELD -- Jenny Filkowski, 78, Seattle, formerly of Belfield, died July 20, 1997, in Seattle. Services will be at 10 a.m. MDT Friday at St. Demitrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, rural Belfield, with burial in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Belfield.

She is survived by one son, Les, Seattle; one daughter, Caroline Pearson, Seattle; four brothers, George and Nick Symionow, both of Fairfield, William Symionow, Alexandria, Va., and Pete Symionow, Hermiston, Ore.; and six sisters, Kay Wazny, Fargo, Sister Anisia and Sister Bernie, both of Sloatsburg, N.Y., Mary Shypkoski and Margie Koffler, both of Dickinson, and Dorothy Catlin, Oroville, Calif. Frances Haugen
Frances J. Haugen, 63, Mandan, died July 20, 1997, in Minot. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Hugo Blotsky officiating. Burial will be in Stone Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, where a parish vigil will begin at 7:30 tonight.

Frances Joann Gross was born June 14, 1934, in Flasher, the daughter of Joseph and Susanna (Harsche) Gross.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Allen L. and Michelle, Minot; one granddaughter, Kayla; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bert, Mandan, John and Delores, Shields, Al, Bismarck, and George and Dora, Shields; five sisters and one brother-in-law, Barbara Turgeon and Marie Kraft, both of Bismarck, Helen McNamee, Park City, Mont., Sue and Lee Jueth, Bismarck, and Kathy Duma, Hazen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon, who died Aug. 6, 1996; two sisters, Ann Silvernagel and Lillian Kraft; and one brother, Joseph.

Casper Boehm
Casper ``Cap" R. Boehm, 83, Boca Raton, Fla., died July 17, 1997, in his home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with the Rev. Robert Feeney officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan, with military rites by Mandan Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Casper was born July 14, 1914, in Mandan, the son of Adam J. and Kathryn J. (Gress) Boehm. Casper was raised and educated in Mandan, graduating from Mandan High School. He attended college at Fresno State and Northwestern University. He married Patricia Shaw. She died in 1980. Casper was a Navy commander serving in the U.S. Navy for 30 years.

He is survived by four brothers: Leo, Mandan; Paul, San Jose, Calif.; Michael, Morgan Hills, Calif.; and Ralph, Temecula, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Joseph and Frank; and one sister, Tillie.

Florence Gilhooly
Florence Gilhooly, 84, Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, died July 21, 1997, in the care center. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church, Jamestown, with the Rev. Bernard Pfau officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.

Florence Lizakowski was born April 2, 1913, in Minto, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Shoults) Lizakowski. She was raised and educated in Minto and graduated from Minto High School in 1930. She married Jack Gilhooly, Nov. 25, 1937. Florence worked for 21 years at the Fair Store in Jamestown, and retired in 1984.

She was a member of St. James Tabernacle, St. Joseph's Circle, VFW Auxiliary, Jamestown Hospital Auxiliary and Jamestown Women's Bowling Association.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Cleone, Bismarck; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ernestine Laramie, Chicopee, Mass.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; three brothers; and one sister.

Milo Weidrich
DRISCOLL -- Milo William ``Mike" Wiedrich, 66, Driscoll, died July 21, 1997, in his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Thomas Eckstein officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Boelter Funeral Home and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Milo was born Feb. 9, 1931, near Beulah, the son of Wilhelm and Sophia (Mittlesteadt) Wiedrich. He was raised and educated in rural schools. He drove trucks, worked as a farmer and worked for various farmers for many years. He moved to Driscoll in 1950, while employed with the railroad.

He is survived by his mother, Sophia; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Delphine and Robert Hughes, Elk Ridge, Mo., and Myra and Laird Stewart, Isle, Minn.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Douglas and Darlene, Nekoma, Raymond and Connie, Nine Mile, Mont., and Lawrence, Missoula, Mont.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilhelm.
