Leonard Zeller
Leonard Zeller, 84, Mandan, died Nov. 13, 1998, in the Mandan nursing home. Arrangements are pending at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.

Ronald Beasley
Ronald A. Beasley, 60, Bismarck, formerly of Washburn, died Nov. 11, 1998, in a Fargo hospital from injuries sustained when his pickup truck rolled north of Wahpeton, Nov. 8, 1998. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, Washburn, with the Rev. Bradley Brauer officiating. Services will also be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Augustana Lutheran Church, Duluth, Minn., with the Rev. Victor Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Park, Duluth, with military rites by Duluth VFW Combined Honor Guard.

Visitation will be from 1:30-9 p.m. today at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn, and will continue at the church one hour before services Monday.

Ronald was born Sept. 3, 1938, at Duluth to Floyd and Olga (Korpi) Beasley. He was raised and educated in the Duluth and Hibbing, Minn. areas. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. He married Ruby Jean Roland, Jan. 10, 1958, at Duluth. He worked in the industrial trades before joining the Boilermakers Local No. 647 in 1966. He was employed in the construction and repair of power plants in the upper Midwest. In 1974 they moved to Washburn until 1991, when they made their home in Bismarck. He enjoyed the outdoors and many sports. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; two daughters and one son-in-law, Rhonda Carlson, Beulah, and Suzanne and Steve Richards, Washburn; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ron Jr. and Twila, Buffalo, Minn., and Scott and Pam, Wahpeton; 11 grandchildren, Thomas, Laura Jean, Cory, Jerry, April, A.J., Geoff, Heather, Daniel, Natasha and Michael; and one brother, Gerald, Anoka, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Laura Jean.

Randy Scheeler
Randy Scheeler was born Nov. 17, 1970, in Dickinson. He attended school in Dickinson, moving to Bismarck in 1982. He attended Will-Moore Elementary, Hughes Junior High and Century High School in Bismarck. He graduated in 1989 and went directly into basic training for the North Dakota Air National Guard. After basic training, he attended North Dakota State University in Fargo, working weekends for the guard, then went full-time in Klamath Falls, Ore. with the 119th FW Squadron Alert Base, later moving with them to March Air Force Base in Riverside, Calif. Besides working full-time at the guard, Randy dedicated his life to God and his Church of the Nazarene. He was on the regional board of directors for the Church of the Nazarene in California. He was also very active in the Civil Air Patrol since the seventh grade. He recently got to fulfill his lifelong dream of flying. He was hired by Great Lakes Aviation as a commercial pilot in August. He, along with Sandee, flew his folks on a 3-day cross country adventure in July 1998.

Randy died Nov. 13, 1998, in Williston, at the age of 27.

He is survived by his parents, Don and Sue; his sister, Sandee, Mankato, Minn.; his grandparents, Andy and Mert Kuylen; a special friend, Lisa Mitchell; and many, many relatives and friends.

We will miss you Randy, and our love goes with you!

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Church of the Nazarene, 4209 Old Red Trail, Mandan, with burial in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to God's Child Project.

Ann Hoffman
Ann Hoffman, 84, 707 Fourth St. N.W., Mandan, died Nov. 13, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Albert E. Leary officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Monday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a parish vigil will begin at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Ann was born July 3, 1914, in Mandan, the daughter of Bruce and Mary Glass. Ann was raised and educated in Mandan, graduating from Mandan High School. She married John P. Hoffman, Dec. 29, 1941, in Mandan. John died in 1959. Ann worked as a desk clerk at the Colonial Motel and Holiday Inn.

Ann is survived by one daughter, Maryann Schaaf, Mandan; two grandchildren, Cheryl McBride and Amy Schaaf; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marie Aiken, Washington, and Adeline Obannon, California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and her parents.

Leonard Zeller
Leonard Zeller, 85, Mandan, died Nov. 13, 1998, in the Mandan nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with the Rev. Dale Nabben officiating. Burial will be Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today at the funeral home, and will continue before services on Monday.

Leonard was born June 22, 1913, in Heil, the son of Jacob and Caroline (Huck) Zeller. He married Jennettee Bauer, Feb. 23, 1935, in Mandan. They lived in Carson until they moved to Mandan in 1944. Leonard was an excellent carpenter and worked as a home builder for many years.

He is survived by two sisters, Hilda Bauer, Mandan, and Ida Horst, Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, who died June 17, 1984; five brothers; and four sisters.

Myron Ode
MINOT -- Myron E. Ode, 74, Minot, died Nov. 13, 1998, in a Minot hospital. Services will be held at10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Minot, with burial in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

He is survived by four daughters, Margo Murdock, Vicki Pratt and Sherry Clayton, all of East Moline, Ill., and Doreen Collatt, Grand Forks; one son, Michael, East Moline; one brother, Alvin, Bismarck; and six sisters, Vera Hegedus, Yvonne Flurer and Arzella Engleman, all of Bismarck, Dorothy Stoltz, Palm Springs, Ariz., Henrietta Weeklund, Roseville, Minn., and Irene Strand, Virginia Beach, Va. Bernice Pechtl
DICKINSON -- Bernice Pechtl, 89, Dickinson, died Nov. 13, 1998, in a Dickinson nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Monday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, New England.

She is survived by two sisters, Loretta Wilcox and Arlene Reindel, both of Dickinson; and one brother, Fred Geerts, Regent. (Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson)

Elsie Sandau
EDGELEY -- Elsie Sandau, 89, Edgeley, died Nov. 13, 1998, in the Jamestown hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Zion United Methodist Church, Kulm, with burial in Evangelical Cemetery, Kulm.

She is survived by one son, Ronald, Thornton, Colo. (Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm)

Karl Olsson
HAZEN -- Karl Olsson, 49, Hazen, died Nov. 14, 1998, in the Hazen hospital. Arrangements are pending at Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen.

Betty Posey
Betty Posey, 72, Bismarck, died Nov. 14, 1998, in her home. Arrangements are pending at Eastgate Funeral Service.

Bishop Sylvester Treinen
Bishop Sylvester W. Treinen, 78, Boise, Idaho, formerly of the Bismarck Diocese, died Sept. 30, 1996, in a Missoula, Mont. hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MDT Tuesday at the Cathedral in Boise, Idaho, with Archbishop Francis E. George officiating. Burial will be in Morris Hill Cemetery, Boise.

Born in Minnesota, Bishop Treinen attended Crosier Seminary, Onamia, Minn., and St. Paul Seminary, St. Paul, Minn. He was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Bismarck on June 11, 1946 at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck. His first assignment was the Diocese of Bismarck as assistant pastor of the Church of St. Joseph in Dickinson. In 1950 he was appointed assistant pastor at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck, and was secretary to Bishop Ryan. He was appointed Chancellor of Diocese of Bismarck in 1953, and served in that position until being appointed pastor of Church of St. Joseph in Mandan in 1962. Pope John XXIII named him Bishop of Boise on May 19, 1962, and Bishop Treinen was consecrated in the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck on July 25, 1962. He retired Aug. 17, 1988, and had continued to reside in Boise.

He is survived by one nephew, Nick Treinen, Boise; and other relatives in Idaho and Minnesota.

Arthur Fevold
STANLEY -- Arthur M. Fevold, 75, Stanley, died Sept. 29, 1996, in his home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Stanley, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Stanley.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. today and 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Springan Funeral Home, Stanley, where a rosary will be said at 8 tonight.

Arthur was born May 17, 1921, in Wolford, to Nels and Olena Fevold. He was raised and educated there. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was discharged in 1945. He married Elizabeth Roggenbuck, Nov. 11, 1947, in Van Hook. They lived in Minot for a short time before they moved to Stanley in 1950. He worked at several jobs in the Stanley area. He went to work for Matador Service of Tioga in 1966. He worked for the company until 1985 when he retired. Elizabeth died in November 1987. He married Audrey Mahlum, May 16, 1981, in Stanley.

He was a member of the Stanley American Legion and the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Stanley.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey; two daughters, Marlene Schaefer, New England, and Marcia Janikowski, Scranton; two sons, Roger, Gillette, Wyo., and Harlan, Watford City; two stepsons, Dexter Mahlum and David Mahlum, both of Independence, Kan.; three stepdaughters, Jackie Mahlum, Palestine, Texas, Renea Minton and Delina Lidstrom, both of Stanley; seven grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

William McAllen
William Paul McAllen, 83, Williston, died Sept. 7, 1996, in the Idaho Falls, Idaho nursing home. Services were held Sept. 10 at Good Samaritan Center Chapel, Idaho Falls, with the hospice chaplain Marv Eid officiating.

William was born Jan. 29, 1913, at Minot, to William John and Susie Marie (Calder) McAllen. He grew up in Minot and attended schools there. He married Olga C. Dahl, Feb. 20, 1940, at Linton. He owned a pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist for most of his life.

He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Williston, North Dakota Pharmacy Association and Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Olga; one sister, Edith Melby, Greenbush, Minn.; one son, James, Idaho Falls; one daughter, Kathleen McAllen, St. Paul, Minn.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister. (Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, Idaho Falls)

Olga McAllen
Olga C. McAllen, 82, Williston, died Sept. 26, 1996, in an Idaho Falls, Idaho, nursing home. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Good Samaritan Center Chapel, Idaho Falls, with hospice chaplain Marv Eid officiating.

Olga was born March 9, 1914, in Columbus, to Gust and and Marie Dahl. She attended school in Columbus. She married William Paul McAllen at Linton, Feb. 20, 1940. He died Sept. 7, 1996. She worked as a school teacher in a one-room school in the country and taught grades 1-8.

She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Williston, and Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one son, James, Idaho Falls; one daughter, Kathleen McAllen, St. Paul, Minn.; and two grandchildren. (Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, Idaho Falls)

Sam Blumhagen
MCCLUSKY -- Sam Blumhagen, 85, McClusky, died Sept. 30, 1996, in the Harvey hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, McClusky. Further arrangements are pending at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky.

Edward Reinert
GOLDEN VALLEY -- Edward Gerald Reinert, 67, Golden Valley, died Sept. 29, 1996, at his home. Services will be held at 7 p.m. MDT Wednesday at Pioneer Hall, Golden Valley.

He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey, Andover, Minn., and Scott, Canadys, S.C.; three daughters, Michelle Reinert and Mari Grack, both of Glencoe, Minn., and Audrey Quanrud, Champlin, Minn.; four brothers, Donald, Watsonville, Calif., Joseph, Santa Clara, Calif., Sylvester, Hutchinson, Minn., and Robert, Bird Island, Minn.; and two sisters, Delores Boyd, New York, N.Y., and Lillian Kopplow, St. Paul, Minn. Donna Morrison
MOTT -- Donna J. Morrison, 49, Mott, died Sept. 30, 1996, in Mott. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Thursday at Assembly of God Church, Mott, with burial in Alden Cemetery, Regent.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; one son, Michael Potter; three daughters, Kathy Gonzales, Jan Reese and Shirley Tarpey; four brothers, Bert, Steve, Bobby and Eddie Sigler; and one sister, Linda Sigler. (Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Mott)

Silas Hofland
REEDER -- Silas V. Hofland, 81, Reeder, died Sept. 30, 1996, in the Hettinger hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Reeder, with burial at 3 p.m. CDT Thursday in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan.

He is survived by his wife, Joean; two daughters, Lori Anderson, Littleton, Colo., and Linda Erickson, Reeder; two sons, Gary, Bismarck, and Gale, Alta Loma, Calif.; one brother, Glenn, Reeder; and one sister, Verna Siverhus, Montevideo, Minn. (Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Hettinger)

Eugene Solomonson
PARSHALL -- Eugene Solomonson, 79, Parshall, died Sept. 29, 1996, in a Minneapolis hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church, Parshall, with burial in Parshall Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Elise; five daughters, Gayle Ingraham, Fort Payne, Ala., Mary Pfau, Wahpeton, Beth Selle, Dickinson, Peggy Rothchild, Thief River Falls, Minn., and Anne Anderson, Auburn, Wash.; and six sons, Gary, Bellevue, Wash., John, Klackamas, Ore., Robert, Kansas City, Kan., Dean, Parshall, Scott, San Antonio, Texas, and Paul, Beulah. Nick Hauck
DICKINSON -- Nick J. Hauck, 84, Dickinson, died Sept. 24, 1996, in the Dickinson hospital. Services were held Sept. 28 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Richardton, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by five sons, John, Bismarck, Leonard, Colorado Springs, Colo., Kenneth, Beach, Raymond, Richardton, and Dennis, Fargo; two brothers, Alex, Richardton, and Clem, Rugby; and six sisters, Katie Fitterer, Dickinson, Cecillia Frederick and Anna Fettig, both of Richardton, Lizzie Hammon, Rugby, Eva Zimmerman, Dickinson, and Lorraine Doll, New Salem.
