Wilma "Ma" Biegler
Wilma "Ma" Biegler died Aug. 19, 2005.

Wilma was born April 3, 1923, at Kintyre, one of 19 children born to Magdelina (Feist) and Frank Schlosser. She was raised and educated in Kintyre. Wilma married Edward Pius "Eddie" Biegler on Oct. 14, 1947, at Edgeley. They moved to Driscoll in 1956.

Eleanor Dockter
Eleanor Dockter, 77, Oakes, died August 15, 2005 at Oakes Community Hospital.

Eleanor Lang was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Lehr, the daughter of Konrad and Bertha (Witt) Lang. She grew up and attended school in Streeter, graduating from Streeter High School in 1947. She married Ruben Dockter on Nov. 18, 1951, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Streeter. They lived in Streeter until moving to Oakes in 1965.

Helen Ivanov
The funeral for Helen Ivanov, 79, Napoleon, was held Mon., October 10, 2005 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Napoleon. Burial was at St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery, Napoleon. Helen died Wed., October 5, 2005 at her home, rural Napoleon.

Helen Schumacher was born November 21, 1925 to Joseph P. and Magdalena (Glatt) Schumacher in Napoleon. She grew up and attended rural school in the Napoleon area and Business College in Jamestown. Helen worked in Bismarck at the State Capital. She was united in marriage to Ben (Bernard) Ivanov on June 8, 1948 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, rural Kintyre.

Bertha Regina Remmick
Bertha Regina Remmick, 93, Portland, OR, died Sept. 14, 2005. A funeral was held Sept. 19 in St. John Lutheran Church in Portland.

Bertha Regina Knodel was born June 6, 1912, in Streeter, ND. She moved to Portland in 1942, and was a homemaker and a member of the church for more than 50 years. In 1930 she married Edward J.; he died in 1992.

Lawrence Vogel
The funeral for Lawrence H. Vogel, 75, Kulm, was Tues., October 4, 2005 at Assembly of God Church in Kulm. Burial was in Kulm Congregational Cemetery. Lawrence died September 29, 2005 at his home under Hospice Care.

Lawrence, son of Fred and Edna (Radke) Vogel, was born January 24, 1930 on a farm northwest of Fredonia, in Logan County. He received his elementary education in Logan, LaMoure and McIntosh counties. Lawrence was united in marriage to Shirley Krueger on June 19, 1955 in Kulm.

Fred Hiller
Fred P. Hiller, 83, Fredonia, died Oct. 14, 2005, at Ashley Nursing Home.

Fred Paul Hiller was born Sept. 12, 1922, to Fred D. and Lydia (Flaig) Hiller, near Fredonia. He graduated from Kulm High School in 1942.

Roland Jans
Roland Jans, 86, Kulm, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, at Wishek Community Hospital.

Roland Jans was born April 16, 1919, in Fredonia, the son of William and Olga (Hiller) Jans. He grew up in Fredonia and went to school at Fredonia Public School. He moved with his family to Kulm in 1938. He graduated from Kulm High School in 1940.

Hildegard Schmidt
Hildegard Schmidt, 88, Streeter, died Wed., October 12, 2005 at her home northwest of Streeter. Funeral services were Mon., Oct. 17 in the United Methodist Church at Streeter. Interment was made in the Friedens Cemetery northwest of Streeter.

Hildegard Clara Betsch was born February 11, 1917 at Streeter, the daughter of Edward and Johanna (Kraft) Betsch.

Katie Aberle
Katie Aberle, 91, Fargo, died Tues., November 29, 2005 at Innovis Hospital, Fargo.

Katie Gross was born on a farm near Napoleon on August 18, 1914 to Mathias and Barbara (Schweitzer) Gross. She attended a country school. She married Gabriel Aberle on October 10, 1934 at St. Anthony's Church in Napoleon.

Rose Fischer
Rose Fischer, 89, Streeter, died Sat., December 3, 2005 at Medcenter One in Bismarck.

Rose Ackerman was born August 5, 1916 at Streeter, to Jacob and Katherine (Stroh) Ackerman.

She and Walter E. Fischer were married November 24, 1938 in Streeter.

Tillie Lang
Tillie Lang, 96, Napoleon, died Wed., November 30, 2005 at the Napoleon Care Center.

Tillie Becker, daughter of Henry H. and Katherina (Kogler) Becker was born April 24, 1909 near Napoleon, where she grew up and attended rural school. She was united in marriage to Fred W. Lang on October 5, 1933 on the Lang family homestead near Napoleon.

Wesley Poykko
Wesley Poykko, 82, Gackle, died Friday evening, December 2, 2005 in St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck.

Wes was born September 17, 1923 in Logan County, the son of Charlie and Leena (Karjalainen) Poykko. He received his elementary education in the rural schools near Gackle and graduated from Gackle High School in 1941.

Mary Ellen Schaffer
Mary Ellen Schaffer, 68, Alexandria, MN, formerly of Willmar, MN, died on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005 at the Mayo Clinic.

Mary Ellen Schaffer was born November 25, 1937 in Minneapolis, MN to Gerald and Madge McGuire. Mary Ellen married Alex Schaffer on September 14, 1957 in Little Falls, MN.

Norbert Simon
Norbert J. Simon, 80, Hoven, SD, a cattle buyer who frequented area sales barns, died Dec. 4, 2005 at MedCenter One, Bismarck. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Hoven.
