Katherine Trusty
Katherine Trusty, 80, Marillac Manor, died Nov. 7, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at noon Tuesday at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with the Rev. Charles Heidt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today at Boelter Funeral Home, where a Catholic Daughter rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday, followed by a parish vigil.

Katherine was born July 21, 1917, near Hague, the daughter of Mathias and Theresa (Schmidt) Fettig. Katherine was raised and educated near Burnstad. She married Phillip Trusty in October 1941 at Burnstad. They farmed near Driscoll until buying a farm north of Arena in 1947. Mr. Trusty died in 1951 after a lengthy illness. Katherine worked as a housekeeper in Dunseith and Lakota for the parish priest until 1961 when she moved to Bismarck. Katherine worked at St. Alexius until her retirement in 1982.

She was a member of Church of St. Mary, Catholic Daughters, St. Jude's Mission of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she helped serve lunches for funerals of the parish until she was too ill to work. Katherine enjoyed embroidery, and was an excellent cook and baker.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Mary, Laramie, Wyo.; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Margaret Mooers, Bismarck, Anna and Walter Bruns, St. Paul, Minn., Mary and Ron Jacovetta, Arvada, Colo., and Magdalen Haas, Napoleon; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, George, Sturgis, S.D., Anton M. and Verna, Napoleon, and Mathias and Agnes, Bismarck; one granddaughter, Rebecca and her husband, Kurt Schuller, Mandan; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Phillip.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Church of St. Mary or the Ronald McDonald House.

Victor Glatt
Victor Glatt, 66, 1604 Pennsylvania Ave., died Nov. 7, 1997, in his home after a long illness. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Church of the Ascension, Bismarck, with the Rev. Arnold Spain officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday at Eastgate Funeral Service, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday.

Victor was born Aug. 14, 1931, the son of Ludwig and Mary (Wagner) Glatt. He was raised and educated in Hague. He married Murriel Belile May 29, 1954. They farmed in the Hague area until 1961 when they moved to Bismarck. Victor was employed by Jim's Redi Mix, McQuade Distributing and Melroe until his illness forced him into an early retirement.

He was a life member of Eagles and a longtime member of Ascension Parish of Bismarck. He loved to be outdoors and go for walks. His favorite pastime was putting puzzles together and playing cards with his family and special friend, Floyd Kummer.

Victor is survived by his wife, Murriel; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Randy, Foxboro, Mass., and Roger and Theresa, Victor Jr. and Dorothy, and Jerry and Kim, all of Bismarck; five daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Larry Ensz, and LaVonne and Ed Gloria, all of Bismarck, Cathy and David Jones, Hartsville, Ala., Vicki and Stacy Miles, Selby, S.D., and Mary and Bruce Zelmer, Yankton, S.D.; 24 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Wilmer Conitz
NEW SALEM -- Wilmer Conitz, 80, New Salem, died Nov. 8, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MST Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church, New Salem, with the Rev. Loren Strum officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, New Salem.

Visitation will begin at noon Monday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, New Salem, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Wilmer H. Conitz was born April 17, 1917, in Fargo, the son of Herman and Annie (Eckwortzel) Conitz. He was raised and educated in New Salem. He married Alma Kobs Sept. 20, 1939, in Mandan. They farmed in New Salem and later included a dairy operation. Wilmer was very civic and community oriented, serving on the Bluegrass Telephone Cooperative Board of Directors, and on the Farmers Union Lumber Board for 17 years. He was active with the local FHA and served on the city council for 13 years where he held the police commissioner's portfolio. A lifetime member of the New Salem Historical Society, he was an avid reader, particularly of history. Wilmer was an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman.

He will be deeply missed by many, including his wife, Alma; his daughter-in-law, Betty Conitz, Bismarck; three granddaughters, Danelle and her husband, J.D. Mutchler, Mud Butte, S.D., Denise Conitz and her friend, Marc Smith, Bismarck, and Deb and her husband, T.J. Steele, Aladdin, Wyo.; and one great-grandson, Prestyn Conitz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Kenneth.

George Fourth
CANNON BALL -- George V. Fourth, 53, Cannon Ball, died Nov. 8, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Veterans Memorial Building, Cannon Ball. Further arrangements are pending at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan.

Irene Albers
HAZEN -- Irene Albers, 87, Fessenden, died Nov. 6, 1997, in Fessenden. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Monday at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Hazen, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by three daughters, Colletta Stroup, Fargo, Kathy Kessler, Fessenden, and Audrey Erickson, Beulah; and one sister, Clara Albers, Hazen. (Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen)

William Gillen
William Gillen, 93, Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, died Nov. 8, 1997, in the nursing home. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are pending at Eastgate Funeral Service.

Richard Tvedt
ALAMO -- Richard Tvedt, 70, Alamo, died Nov. 7, 1997, in the Williston hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Lutheran Church, Alamo. Further arrangements are pending at Everson Funeral Home, Williston.

Pauline Carlson
KULM -- Pauline June Carlson, 73, Kulm, died Nov. 8, 1997, in the Wishek hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kulm Assembly of God Church, with burial in Swede Township Cemetery, rural Kulm.

She is survived by one sister, Leona Malm, Kulm. (Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm)

Anton Feist
ZEELAND -- Anton J. Feist, 82, Zeeland, died Nov. 8, 1997, in the Linton hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Zeeland, with burial in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Zeeland.

He is survived by his wife, Johanna; one daughter, Mary Jane Schumacher, Linton; one brother, Ben, Aberdeen, S.D.; and one sister, Sister Mary Edgar, St. Paul, Minn. (Myers Funeral Home, Linton)

Martha Job
LINTON -- Martha Job, 83, Moorhead, Minn., formerly of Linton, died Nov. 8, 1997, in a Moorhead nursing home. Arrangements are pending at Myers Funeral Home, Linton.

R.J. Bloedau
Services for R.J. Bloedau, 91, Mott, will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Monday at First Congregational-Neuburg, United Church of Christ, Mott, with the Rev. Dwight Albers officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. CDT Monday in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan, with the Rev. Robert Lynne officiating.

A family and Masonic service will begin at 4 p.m. MDT Sunday at Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Mott. Special music will be provided by Carol Hertz, organist. Serving as casketbearers are Dean Johnson, Frank Masaad, Tom Friedt, James Vukelic and Charles Crane. A memorial has been established to the Shrine Hospital or a specified charity.

R.J. Reuben Jonathan Bloedau "Blue," was born Jan. 20, 1907, at Pembina, to the Rev. Carl and Anna (Knauss) Bloedau. He attended various public schools in North Dakota and graduated from Wishek High School in 1924. He recently attended a class reunion where he was honored as the oldest living graduate. R.J. received his bachelor of law degree from the University of North Dakota in 1932 and in later years earned his degree of jurus doctor. After his graduation from law school he began his practice at Mott where he continued until 1989. Included in his profession are 20 years as Hettinger County States Attorney, and Mott City Attorney at various times. He has been a member of the American Bar Association for over 40 years, and president of the North Dakota State Bar Association from 1963-1964. This has been a factor for some of their traveling which includes visiting all the continents except Africa and Antarctica. In 1935, R.J. became a Master Mason in the Mott Lodge No. 96 which has been his home lodge ever since. He served as worshipful master in 1941 and was secretary of the lodge. In 1970-1971, R.J. was grand master of the Grand Lodge of North Dakota, during these years he and his wife Esther attended several grand lodge sessions in various states including Manitoba and Alberta, Canada. He was also a member of the Mott Chapter of the order of the Eastern Star and served as a warder for several years. He was also a member of the Red Cross Constantine, Mandan Consistory of the Scottish Rite and El Zagal Temple of the Shrine and the York Rite Masons. He received special honors at DeMolay Conclave. R.J. was a charter member of the Masonic Chess Federation, and served as president of the Mott Lions Club where he was a member for over 60 years. On May 20, 1943, he was inducted into the U.S. Army and served until being discharged on Sept. 6, 1945. He served as commander of the Taylor-Skartvedt American Legion post No. 71. R.J. has been influential in helping his community and serving on the boards of the Mott Airport, (he did some flying after the war when he was unable to purchase a car), Hettinger County Fair board and the Mott park boards. He served as chairman of the Republican Platform Committee and attended state conventions.

R.J. passed from this life on Sept. 15, 1998, in the Hettinger nursing home at the age of 91 years, seven months and 25 days.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Esther; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Madeline Bloedau, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and two sisters, Anne Lasater, Billings, Mont., and Loletta Halverson, Stoughton, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dr. Emanuel Bloedau; one sister, Mildred Moses; and two nephews, Daven and Milton Bloedau.

Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home, and will continue at the church one hour before services.

Marcus Hamlin
Marcus Hill Hamlin, 86, Tacoma, Wash., died Aug. 12, 1998, in Tacoma. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Saturday at Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen, with burial in Peace Cemetery, Hazen.

He is survived by two sons, Robert, White River Junction, Vt., and Richard, Newark, Calif.; two brothers, Louis, Waco, Texas, and Charles, Nacogdoches, Texas.

Pat Price
HALLIDAY -- Pat Price, 64, Halliday, died Sept. 13, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MDT Friday at Twin Buttes Memorial Hall, with burial in Beaver Creek Cemetery.

He is survived by one son, Pat Jr., Denver; and three sisters, Peggy Bisonette, Chicago, Josephine White Tail, Beulah, and Laverne Dru, Lawton, Okla. (Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison)

Troy Benson
TWIN BUTTES -- Troy Benson, 42, Minneapolis, died Sept. 16, 1998, in a Minneapolis hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Twin Buttes Memorial Hall. Further arrangements are pending at Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson)

Dan Jones
TIOGA -- Dan Jones, 73, Tioga, died Sept. 16, 1998, in the Williston hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, Tioga, with burial in Sunset Rest Cemetery, Ray.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; two sons, Dr. Robert, Napa, Calif., and Vernon, Minot; and two sisters, Mabel Carstens and Shirley Boehner, both of Bremerton, Wash. (Everson Funeral Home, Williston)

Leo Erickson
WILLISTON -- Leo Erickson, 87, Williston, died Sept. 13, 1998, in his home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, with burial in Riverview Cemetery, Williston.

He is survived by one daughter, Annette Staatz, Plano, Texas; and two sons, Jack, Sonoma, Calif., and Lee, Glasgow, Mont. (Everson Funeral Home, Williston)

Margaret DeLaBarre
FARGO -- Margaret DeLaBarre, 95, Elim Nursing Home, Fargo, died Sept. 17, 1998, in a Fargo nursing home. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Stephen Eastin officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monda, at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, and for one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Margaret Rendahl DeLaBarre was born to John M. and Anna (Kittleson) Rendahl on Oct. 21, 1902, in Hayfield, Minn. Her parents moved to Sisseton, S.D., then came to North Dakota, where they filed on a homestead in Adams County. Her father died here and her mother and four children moved to Glen Ullin and then to Elgin. She attended school here and graduated from what was then the Dickinson State Normal School. She taught school in Grant County for six years.

She married Otto DeLaBarre in 1926. He was an agent-telegrapher for the Northern Pacific Railroad and they lived in Bowdon, Carson, Fargo, Bismarck, and Mandan. He retired from the State Highway Department after 17 years.

She was a member of Presbyterian Church and Women's Association, she had been awarded an honorary membership in the Program Agency of the General Assembly (this is presented in recognition of long and faithful service to Christ and His church).

She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter H, Queen Esther Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Order of the Rainbow for girls, American Legion Auxiliary, Mandan MedCenter One Hospital Auxiliary and Delphian.

She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, MaryLou and LaVerne Kamps, Tavares, Fla.; and Jane Leben, West Fargo; one sister, Leona Dunahay, Bismarck; six grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto; two brothers, Albert and Leo; her parents; and son-in-law, Howard Leben.

Memorials can be made to First Presbyterian Church in Mandan or Anne Carlsen School in Jamestown.

Marguerite Brown
UNDERWOOD -- Marguerite Brown, 93, Underwood, died Sept. 18, 1998, in an Underwood nursing home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Alexander Presbyterian Church, Underwood. Burial will be in the church cemetery in rural Underwood.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Goetz Funeral Home Chapel, Underwood, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Marguerite Brown was born on May 2, 1905, in Linn Grove, Iowa, to Gust and Amelia (Brostad) Englund. She moved with her parents to a farm nine miles west of Underwood. She graduated from Underwood High School in 1923 and then attended and received her teachers certificate at Minot State College.

She taught school in Washburn, Underwood and various rural schools in McLean County. She married Walter Brown on June 12, 1922 at Underwood. They farmed four miles south of Underwood and in 1949 they moved into Underwood. He retired in 1961 and died in 1970.

She was a member of Underwood Homemakers Club, Alexander Presbyterian Church, Underwood Senior Citizens and the China Painting Guild. She enjoyed sewing and painting textile and with oil.

She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Betty, Phoenix, Duane and Leona, Farmington, Minn., Paul and Marthella, Underwood, and Russell and Vicki, Fargo; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one foster brother, James Eskes, San Jose, Calif.; and one nephew, David Leroy. Dennis Entzminger
GACKLE -- Dennis Lee Entzminger, 49, Gackle, at his home after a lengthy illness. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Gackle. Burial will be in Gackle Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Kristen, Phoenix, Ariz., and Erin, at home; his mother, Netti Entzminger, Gackle; his sisters, MaryAnn Remmich, Edgeley, Betty Graf, Vadnais Heights, Minn., JoAnn Janke, Gackle, and J. Kay Opp, Oakes; and two brothers, Dean, Gackle, and Randy, Grand Forks. (Haut Funeral Home, Gackle)

Mary Watkins
DICKINSON -- Mary Watkins, 79, Dickinson, formerly of Manning, died Sept. 17, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. MDT Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Killdeer. Further arrangements are pending with Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson.

Martha Schaeffer
Martha M. Schaeffer, 96, Minneapolis, formerly of Pollock, S.D., died Sept. 13, 1998, in a Minneapolis hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church. Further arrangements are pending with Myers Funeral Home, Linton.

Mary Kostelecky
DICKINSON -- Mary Kostelecky, 88, Dickinson, died Sept. 18, 1998, at her home. Services will be 10 a.m. MDT Tuesday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending with Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson.

Ernie Tooz
DICKINSON -- Ernie Tooz, 50, Dickinson, died Sept. 18, 1998, in Baker, Mont. Arrangements are pending with Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson.
