Victor Abraham
HEBRON -- Victor Abraham, 69, Hebron, died April 22, 1998, in Bismarck. No services will be held.

Vic was raised and educated at Hebron. He married Daphne Funk, Nov. 12, 1947, at Hebron. He started working at the bank in Hebron in 1948. He moved to Glen Ullin where he was the cashier at that bank until 1960 when he returned to Hebron. Vic joined the department of banking for the state of North Dakota in 1964 as a bank examiner. He worked with that office until retiring in 1991.

He is survived by his wife, Dapne; one son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Brenda, Fairfax, Va.; one daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Jason Karsch, Dillon, Mont.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marie May, Aberdeen, S.D. (Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron)

Marcella Erhardt
Marcella R. Erhardt, 64, 709 Collins Ave., Mandan, died April 27, 1998, at her home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Revs. Robert Feeney and Jerome Kautzman officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a Catholic Daughters rosary will be said at 4 p.m., a Women of the Moose Ritual at 7 p.m. and a parish vigil at 7:30 p.m., all on Wednesday, at Weigel Funeral Home.

Marcella Barnhardt was born on July 9, 1933, at Crown Butte. She was the daughter of Jacob and Katherine (Kautzman) Barnhardt. She was raised and educated in Crown Butte and attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Mandan. She married Jacob "Jack" Erhardt on Oct. 12, 1953, at Crown Butte. After her marriage, she and Jack lived in Fort Lewis, Wash., from 1958-1960. They moved back to Crown Butte, residing there from 1960-1965. They then moved to Mandan. She worked for Lee Enterprises (Mandan News and Finder) in the mailing department for six years, Custer Elementary School for the lunch program for five years and the Mandan Moose for 15 years.

She is survived by her husband, Jack; four sons and daughters-in-law, Rocky and Patty, Rodney and Pam, Russell and Becky, and Roger and Karla, all of Mandan; one daughter, Ramona, Mandan; three grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, James and Carrie, and Ryan and Blaine Erhardt; and three granddaughters, Jennifer, Jessica and Kyra Erhardt; her mother, Katherine Barnhardt, Mandan; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jerry and his friend, Mary, Black Diamond, Wash., Darrell and Cass, Salem, Ore., and Archie and Fern, Mandan; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Deloris Lang, Mandan, and Sandy and Albert Dick, Munich.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Jacob; an infant son, James Jacob; and one nephew, Terry Lang. (Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan)

Judeen Skarphol
Judeen Doralyn Skarphol, 49, 300 Napa Loop, Bismarck, died April 25, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lesje Lutheran Church, rural Landa. Burial will be in the Landa Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck. A prayer service will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The Revs. Luther Larson and Scott Baumann will be officiating.

Judeen Borgen was born on July 22, 1948, in Westhope, the youngest daughter of Joe and Helen (Miller) Borgen. She was raised on a farm near Landa and attended school in Landa and Souris. She studied business and home economics at Minot State. On Aug. 30, 1969, Judeen married Ronald G. Skarphol, son of Carl and Sylvia (Nermyr) Skarphol of Souris. Judeen and Ron made their home in North Dakota, spending time in Fargo, Davenport, Williston and Bismarck.

Judeen was active in the community as a bookkeeper, Girl Scout leader and Bible school teacher.

Judeen and Ron are the proud parents of two daughters, Ronica, born on Aug. 13, 1973, and Roxanne, born on April 5, 1976. Judeen was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker, as well as a cherished friend. She will be missed by the many who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Ron, Bismarck; two daughters and one son-in-law, Ronica (Mrs. Jeffrey) Skarphol Brownson, and Roxanne, all of Grand Forks; her parents, Joe and Helen Borgen, Souris; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carl and Sylvia Skarphol, Bottineau; one sister, JoAnn Kjelshus, Minot; one brother, Jim Borgen, Minot; five brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; 12 nieces; seven nephews; one grandniece; one grandnephew; and many friends. Joseph Robidou
BREIEN -- Joseph A. Robidou, 92, Breien, died April 24, 1998, in an Elgin nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bismarck. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday, both at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, and for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. A rosary and vigil service will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at Perry Funeral Home.

Joseph was born on June 9, 1905, south of Bismarck to John and Elizabeth (Moran) Robidou. He grew up on a farm southeast of Bismarck and attended St. Mary's Grade School. As a young man, he worked for a salvage company and in 1930 moved to the Spokane, Wash., area. In 1947, he returned to Bismarck and farmed. He married Antonia Schaff on June 16, 1962, in Bismarck. They moved to Breien in 1987 and enjoyed working a hobby farm.

He is survived by his wife, Antonia; one stepdaughter, Kathleen Ann Lutsch, San Francisco; one half-sister, Cecelia Dejarlais, Grand Forks; two stepgrandchildren; five great-stepgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Jessie; and a brother, Clarence. (Perry Funeral Home, Mandan)

Quay Petersen
WASHBURN -- Quay K. Petersen, 80, Washburn, died April 26, 1998, in a Mandan nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Washburn. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Washburn.

Visitation will be from 11:30-9 p.m. Wednesday at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn, and for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Quay Kenneth Petersen was born on Jan. 24, 1918, at rural Washburn, to Casner and Annie (Andersen) Petersen, where he was raised and educated. As a young man, he farmed with his father. From 1934 to 1936 he worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps. He married Leona Schacher on Nov. 10, 1941, at Glendive, Mont. They made their home on a farm southeast of Underwood, where they farmed. In 1961, they moved to Drake, where he operated the Gamble Store and also worked for the Ford dealership. In 1971, they moved to Minot, where he worked for the Ramada Inn and also the Izeman Trailer Sales. In 1986, he retired and moved to Wilton until 1988, when they moved to Washburn. Leona died on Nov. 17, 1991. He continued to make his home in Washburn.

He enjoyed photography, playing pool, darts, growing house plants and being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Leighton and Sherri, Billings, Mont., Lynn and Melinda, and Tim and Kristie, all of Bismarck; one daughter, ArvaDel Petersen, Mandan; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Russell, and Elner and Luella, all of Washburn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leona; one daughter and one sister-in-law. (Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn)

Juan Kryzanauskas
RICHARDTON -- Juan Diego Kryzanauskas, OSB, 82, Richardton, died April 27, 1998, in Bismarck. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Thursday at Assumption Abbey Church, Richardton. Burial will be in Assumption Abbey Cemetery, Richardton.

Visitation will begin after 4 p.m. MDT Wednesday at Assumption Abbey Church in Richardton. A wake service will be said at 7 p.m. MDT Wednesday at the church.

Juan was born Dec. 15, 1915, in Philadelphia, the son of Anthony and Anna (Eidukynis) Kryzanauskas. He was raised and educated in Philadelphia. He left home at the age of 17 and joined a monastery. His life was spent in the monastic community. On Feb. 10, 1987, he professed his vows at St. Mark's in South Union, Ky. He transferred to Assumption Abbey in 1988. While at the abbey, he assisted with the domestic duties as best he could, due to the leukemia that he suffered from for many years.

He is survived by his brothers of the Assumption Abbey; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and two sisters. (Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron)

Lucille Heenan
Lucille Heenan, 63, Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Dickinson, died April 19, 1998.

Lucille was born and raised in Dickinson, the daughter of John and Margaret Meyer.

She is survived by her daughter, Shanda M. and John Cruciani, Kansas City; three brothers, Fred Meyer and Richard Meyer, both of Dickinson, Paul Meyer, Gladstone; and five sisters, Sister Johnita Meyer, St. Joseph, Minn., Barbara Boehm, Sacramento, Calif., Doloris Schmidt, Dickinson, Eleanore Frederick, Jeffersonton, Va., and Rose St. Peter, Bismarck.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Heenan Sr.; one son, Richard M. Heenan Jr.; her parents, John and Margaret Meyer; one brother, Ray Meyer; and one sister, Arleen Amann.

Harold Benz
HAZEN -- Harold Benz, 71, Hazen, died April 25, 1998, in the Hazen hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Wednesday, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes; two daughters, Judy Plettl, Fargo, and Donna Benz, Jamestown; one son, Harlan, Hazen; three sisters, Lorraine Hilz, Beulah, Viola Miller, Moses Lake, Wash., and Ardella Kruckenberg, Hazen; and two brothers, Ivan Benz, Portland, Ore., and Vernon Benz, Mullan, Idaho. Michael Brown
JAMESTOWN -- Michael Hubert Brown, 43, Jamestown, died April 26, 1998, in a Fargo hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.

He is survived by his parents, Vern and Mary, Jamestown; three daughters, Amanda Brown, Amy Brown and Angie Brown, all of Jamestown; one son, David, Jamestown; one sister, Sharon Senne, Bismarck; and one brother, Chris, Bismarck. (Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown)

Gregory Riedl
HETTINGER -- Gregory P. Riedl, 87, Hettinger, died April 27, 1998, in the Hettinger hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MDT Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hettinger. Burial will be in Hettinger Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one son, Steve, Sturgis, S.D.; two daughters, Anita Kirschman, New England, and Gwen Riedl, Minneapolis; and one brother, Lawrence, Hettinger. (Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Hettinger)

Ivan Ravnaas
TURTLE LAKE -- Ivan Ravnaas, 76, rural Turtle Lake, died April 25, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, rural Turtle Lake. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by one brother, Johnny, Turtle Lake; and one sister, Gudrun Krogh, Velva. (Goetz Funeral Home, Turtle Lake)

Martha Hintz
DICKINSON -- Martha Hintz, 90, Dickinson, died April 27, 1998, in a Dickinson nursing home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MDT Wednesday at St. Benedict's Health Center. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Richardton.

She is survived by two sisters, Edna Uecker, Hettinger, and Katherine Nelson, Bismarck. (Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson)

Hannah Nygaard
FARGO -- Hannah Nygaard, 93, Fargo, and formerly of DeLamere, died April 26, 1998, in a Fargo nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Milnor. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, DeLamere.

She is survived by one son, Eric, Fargo; and one daughter, Paula Langlie, Fargo. (Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Milnor)

Celestine Urlacher
DICKINSON -- Celestine Urlacher, 91, Dickinson, died April 27, 1998, in a Dickinson nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Thursday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending with Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson.

Frank Bosch
STRASBURG -- Frank Bosch, 87, Strasburg, died April 26, 1998, in a Strasburg nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg. Further arrangements are pending with Kesling Funeral Home, Mobridge, S.D.

Emil Weigum
GOLDEN VALLEY -- Emil Weigum, 85, Golden Valley, died April 27, 1998, at his home. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. MDT Thursday at Golgotha Lutheran Church, Golden Valley. Further arrangements are pending with Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah.
