Clayton Remboldt
Clayton Remboldt, 69, Gackle died Friday, September 28, 2007 at his home in Gackle.
Clayton was born August 15, 1938 in Griffin Township in Stutsman County, NW of Gackle, the son of Edward and Ida (Hehn) Remboldt.
He attended Gackle Public School where he received his education.
He and Twila Dockter were married July 16, 1960 at Streeter.
They made their home in Streeter until 1962, then they moved to Lincoln, NE.
In 1964 they returned to Streeter where they owned and operated the Streeter Bar.

George Rohrich
George R. Rohrich, 86, Napoleon, passed away September 23, 2007 at a Bismarck hospital.
A mass of celebration was held Thursday, September 27, 2007 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon.
Burial was in the St. Philip Neri Cemetery, Napoleon.
George was born May 8, 1921 to George and Agnes (Wolf) Rohrich in rural Linton.
He attended elementary school in a one room school and attended Napoleon High School.
On June 23, 1942, George married Marie Roesler.
They were married 65 years.

Leona Schauer
Leona Schauer, 79, Wishek, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at Wishek Community Hospital.
Services were Monday at the United Church of Christ, Wishek.
Burial was in the Wishek City Cemetery.
Leona Knoll was born April 22, 1928, north of Lehr, the daughter of Peter P. and Rosa (Schaffer) Knoll.
She grew up and received her elementary education in the local rural school.
She helped on the family farm 11 miles north of Lehr.
She married Walter Schauer on Dec. 5, 1948, at Lehr.
In 1951 they purchased a farm nine miles north and one mile west of Lehr.
They farmed until August of 1972.

Anton “Tony” Vetter
The funeral for Anton “Tony” Vetter, 65, Wishek will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 10:30 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wishek.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Wishek.
Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Wishek.
Tony Vetter was born July 25, 1942 in Logan County to Anton and Christine (Gross) Vetter.
He was raised and educated near Napoleon.
Tony married Bernice Wald on October 2, 1965.
Tony and Bernice were hired farmhands for Nickisch Company 5 miles west of Wishek for two years.
They then purchased the farm in 1967 from the Nickisch Company.

Harry Ehmann
Harry Ehmann, 87, Gackle, died Friday, May 2, 2008 at Ave Maria Village (Central Dakota Village), Jamestown.
Funeral arrangements are pending.

Wallace Fallgatter
Wallace Fallgatter, 83, Puyallup, WA, formerly of Napoleon, died April 15.
Memorial services were held April 24, at Powers Funeral Home, Puyallup, WA with military salute at Tahoma National Cemetery at Kent, WA.
Wally was born December 15, 1924, the youngest of six children.
He spent the next 18 years of his life in Kintyre, ND.
During WWII, following in the foot steps of his three older brothers.
Wally was inducted into the Navy in June 1943 and assigned to the Naval Air Core Special V-12 Unit.
Upon returning home after the war he married Eileen Olson from Napoleon in December 1946.

Walter Strom
Walter Strom, 82, Bismarck, died April 27, 2008, in a Bismarck care center.
Services were held Thursday, May 1 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, Bismarck.
Burial was held in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Walter was born in Kintyre, June 13, 1925, to Oscar and Virginia (Johnson) Strom.
Growing up in the Kintyre area, Walter attended country schools.
In 1942 he joined the U.S. Navy and became a fireman 1st class on Navy ships.
He served two years.

Maynard Wallace Lien
Funeral services for Maynard Wallace Lien, 75, Milnor, N.D., were held Monday, August 14, 2000 at Milnor Lutheran Church, with Rev. Arthur Larson officiating. Mr. Lien died Thursday, August 10, 2000 near Milnor.
Maynard Wallace Lien, son of Marvin and Svea (Nelson) lien, was born April 11, 1925 near Milnor, where he grew up and attended school. He graduated from Milnor High School and then attended Valley City State University in Valley City, N.D.
He is survived by his wife, Gene, Milnor; three sons, Gary (Paulette) Lien, John (Connie) Lien and Marshall (Rachel) Lien, all of Milnor; two daughters, Connie (David) Robbins, Milnor, and Mary (Randy) Rotenberger, Gwinner, N.D.; one sister, Phyllis Nelson, Milnor; fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Vernon L. Eberly
Funeral services for Vernon L. Eberly, 91, Lisbon, were held Saturday, August 19, 2000 at Faith Assembly of God Church, Lisbon, with Reverend Kevin Zaun officiating. Mr. Eberly died Tuesday, August 15, 2000 at Lisbon Medical Center.
Vernon L. Eberly was born February 9, 1909 at Fargo, N.D. to Luther S. and Marie (Runge) Eberly. He attended Valley City and Jamestown Schools, graduating from Jamestown High School. Vern received a BA degree from Valley City State University and a MA degree from the University of North Dakota.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve, Lisbon Medical Center Nursing Home; three sons, Richard (Barbara), Phoenix, Ariz., Vern D. (Clarene), Lisbon, and Paul (Connie), Racine, Wis.; one daughter, Judith (Jim) Bradshaw, Grand Forks, N.D.; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Scott, Fairview, Mont., Marion Earlingson, San Antonio, Tex., and Joy Brooks, Spokane, Wash. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Beth Sease.

Clarence A. Lindemann
Funeral services for Clarence A. Lindemann, 93, Enderlin, N.D., were held Saturday, August 19, 2000 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Enderlin, with Reverend Leon Zavadil officiating. Mr. Lindemann died Wednesday, August 16, 2000 at Hillcrest Manor, Enderlin.
Clarence A. Lindemann was born February 22, 1907 at Enderlin to Fred J. and Anna (Stange) Lindemann. He attended Enderlin School, graduating from high school in 1927.
He is survived by a son, Ordean (Gail), Bismarck, N.D.; three daughters, DuAnn (Milton) Torgerson, Sun City, Ariz., Ardell (Forrest) Brudevold, Page, N.D., and Carolyn (Anthony) Petterson, Glenfield, N.D.; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; a half-brother, Zeke Lindemann, Enderlin. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Eldora.

Myrtle Tidwell Ness
Graveside services for Myrtle Tidwell Ness, Atlanta, Ga., were held Tuesday, October 17, 2000, at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Shannon Salyer officiating. Mrs. Ness passed away Saturday, October 14, 2000.
Mrs. Myrtle Tidwell Ness obtained her law degree and worked in various law offices. She and her husband farmed in LaMoure County. The couple later lived in Fort Ransom where Mrs. Ness was very involved in the Sheyenne Valley Arts and Crafts Association, holding various offices in that organization. She was also active in the Baptist Church in Lisbon. After Mr. Ness’ death, Mrs. Ness moved to Atlanta, Ga.
She is survived by one son, Michael John Ness, Fargo; two sisters, Dorothy Tidwell Peel, St. Louis, Mo. and Betty Tidwell Fleming, Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, James David Tidwell, Louisville, Ky. and Richard E. Tidwell, Marietta, Ga.; and sister-in-law Ann Ness, Fort Ransom.
Memorials will be donated to the Senior Citizen’s Center, Fort Ransom, 210 W. Main St., Fort Ransom, 58033.
Sandy Springs Funeral Chapel, Atlanta, Ga., were in charge of funeral arrangements.

Mary Jo Weber
Funeral Services for Mary Jo Weber, 51, Lisbon, N.D., were held on Saturday, October 21, 2000 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Lisbon.
Mrs. Weber died Thursday, October 19, 2000.
