Joseph Iglehart
GARRISON -- Joseph "Joey" Iglehart, 34, Garrison, died April 26, 1999, in a ranching accident. Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Garrison, with the Rev. Hugo Blotsky officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery at 4 p.m. today.

Joe was born March 6, 1965, to Margaret and James Iglehart. He was raised on a farm west of Garrison and graduated from Garrison High School in 1983. He was very active in 4-H and FFA, and received numerous awards including McLean County 4-H King. Joe was a graduate of UND-Williston in the diesel technology program and received the "Student of the Year" award at the vocational center. He attended Bismarck State College in the farm and ranch management program. He farmed and ranched on a farm west of Garrison all of his life. He started riding bulls at the age of 18, and retired at the age of 32 after a Top 10 finish in the Badlands Circuit. After graduating from an aerial cropdusting school in Bambridge, Ga., he owned and operated the JJ Aero Cropdusting Co. Joe was also a partner in the Iglehart Brothers Trucking Co. Joe married Deborah Lee of Mandan, daughter of Jerry and Geraldine Lee, Oct. 3, 1998, and gained a son, Travis. Joe and Debbie are proud to be expecting a new child of their own in November.

Joe spent most of his life devoted to farming and ranching. He particularly loved to visit with friends from far and near. Joe never made himself a stranger to anyone and always believed that one could never have enough friends. He loved his family, flying, traveling, rodeo'n, sunsets, watching his cows, and his dog, "Bud." Joe was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Mandan.

Joe's family is grateful to have shared his life. He will be deeply missed by all that survive him, including his wife, Deborah and son, Travis; his mother, Margaret Iglehart, Bismarck; his father and stepmother, James P. and Betty Iglehart, Garrison; his mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Geraldine Lee, Mandan; his grandmother, Eleanor C. Iglehart, Garrison; five brothers and one sister-in-law, Tom and Rhonda, Dan and Steve, all of Garrison, and Vince, and Mike and his fiance, Karen Friese, all of Bismarck; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, JoAnn Iglehart, Fairfield, Sue and Chip Steckler, Jamestown, and Jean and Scott Graeber, Bismarck; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Lee and her fiance, Kerry Wentz, Bismarck, and Jackie Lee and her fiance, Terry Meisch, Mandan; one brother-in-law, Woodie and his wife, Patti DeCouteau, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two stepbrothers, Brad Goetz, Williston, and Mike Goetz, Beulah; one stepsister, Lisa Nelson, Beulah; 17 nieces and nephews; two aunts and uncles; and his dog, Bud.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather; two nieces; and one nephew.

Theodore Thompson
BEACH -- Theodore Nordahl Thompson, 88, Beach, died April 27, 1999, in Dickinson. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, Beach. Further arrangements are pending at Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home, Beach.

Kenneth Triggs
Kenneth W. Triggs, 73, Mandan, died Jan. 6, 1999, in his home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Linton. Further arrangements are pending at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Mark Monson
Mark D. Monson, 60, Libertyville, Ill., formerly of Bismarck, died April 12, 1999. Services were held April 24 at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Chapel.

He is survived by his daughter, Connie, Atlanta, Ga.; and one son, John, Minneapolis.

Daniel Sorensen
MINOT -- Daniel Sorensen, 84, Minot, died April 27, 1999, in a Bismarck nursing home. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday Christ Lutheran Church, Minot, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys; one daughter, Chris Lunn, Bismarck; and one son, Erik Kristensen, Girwood, Alaska. (Thomas Funeral Home, Minot)

Edwin Harter
ASHLEY -- Edwin H. Harter, 87, Ashley, died April 26, 1999, in the Ashley nursing home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Ashley, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by two daughters, Allegra Kretschmar, Ashley, and Iris Selberg, Fargo; one son, Gaylord, Warsaw, Poland; and two sisters, Ann Holland, Billings, Mont., and Amanda Knoblick, Wapeto, Wash. (Carlsen Funeral Home, Ashley)

Helen Pankowski
WILLISTON -- Helen Pankowski, 70, Williston, died April 26, 1999, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Concordia Lutheran Church, Williston, with burial in Hillside Memory Gardens, Williston.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Turcotte, Trenton, Sharon Mortenson, Lake Park, Fla., Judy Koelz, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Holly Shae, Fairbanks, Alaska; and two sons, Steve, Dickinson, and Tim, Holly Hill, Fla. (Everson Funeral Home, Williston)

Sophia Logosz
BELFIELD -- Sophia Logosz, 87, Boise, Idaho, formerly of Belfield, died April 26, 1999, in Boise. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. MDT Saturday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Belfield, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Alroy, Boise, and Louis, Gooding, Idaho; and four sisters, Molly Safrotowich, Dickinson, Agatha Thenell, Corvallis, Ore., Ida Grosulak, San Rafael, Calif., and Gertrude Rodakowski, Dickinson. (Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson)

Louise Begger
BELFIELD -- Louise L. Begger, 85, Missoula, Mont., formerly of Belfield, died April 28, 1999, in a Missoula nursing home. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. MDT Saturday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson, with the Rev. Kevin Kloster officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Belfield.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Louise Lillian Safratowich was born Dec. 18, 1913, 18 miles north of Belfield, to Michael and Josephine (Rogowski) Safratowich. She married Anton Begger, June 30, 1932. She lived for several years on the farm at St. Philips, Mont., and then Louise worked as a housekeeper at Wibaux, Mont., California, Hawaii and in the Governor's Mansion in Bismarck. She loved to cook, bake, sew, clean, crochet and quilt. She was always doing something for somebody and helped take care of her grandchildren in a time of need. She was dearly loved and had a warm smile that endeared her to all.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dorothy Ranum, Baker, Mont., Frances and Robert Becker, Bowman, and Connie and Art Meccage, Baker; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Doris, Missoula, and Victor, Helena, Mont.; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Victor Schafer; two sisters, Judy Hashegen, Pauline Vestre; one half-sister, Josephine Hopfauf; and two half-brothers, Mike and Loudie Safratowich.

She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Anton; one son, Tony Jr.; one son-in-law, Joseph Ranum; two brothers, Frank and Fabian; and three sisters, Anna Mary Catherine.

Joseph Bosch Jr.
JAMESTOWN -- Joseph Bosch Jr., 65, Jamestown, died Feb. 7, 1998, in a Minneapolis hospital from cancer. Services will be 10-30 a.m. Wednesday at Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with the Rev. Bernard Pfau officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.

Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday with a prayer service and rosary said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, all at Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Joe was born Jan. 7, 1933, in rural Napoleon, the son of Joseph Bosch Sr. and Elizabeth (Wald) Bosch. He grew up and attended the local rural school and grew to manhood in the vicinity. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956 and was stationed in Germany.

He and Alvina Franck were married Oct. 29, 1956 at Strasburg. They farmed in the Hazelton and Streeter areas. He was later married to Jan Arneson at Jamestown. He retired and moved to Jamestown in 1991.

He was a life member of Basilica of St. James and a member of the Eagles, VFW, and American Legion. He stayed involved with farming until his death.

He is survived by four sons and two daughters, Betty and Jack Gross of Jamestown, Dave Bosch and his fiance Sheri Allard of Williston, Mark and Sylvia Bosch of Nortonville, Steve and Raelene Bosch of Streeter, Patty and Bruce Gumke of Jud and Frank Bosch and his friend, Carol Zumbraun of Napoleon; 10 grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Carl and Margaret Bosch of Mandan and Roy and Marilyn Bosch and Caroline Dahl, all of Bismarck.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John; one daughter, Linda, and one grandson, Austin. (Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown)

Mildred Hoff
UNDERWOOD -- Mildred E. Hoff, 69, Underwood, died Feb. 6, 1998, in a Mesa, Ariz. hospital, after suffering a heart attack. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Augustana Lutheran Church, Underwood, with the Rev. Todd Hylden officiating. Burial will be in Underwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Goetz Funeral Home, Underwood, and for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Mildred E. Clark was born July 2, 1928, in Underwood to Delbert and Anna (Miller) Clark. She grew up on her parents' farm west of Underwood, where she attended rural school. She graduated from Underwood High School. She married LeRoy L. Hoff on April 17, 1947 at Washburn.

They farmed near Washburn for one year and then moved into Underwood in 1948. She had worked at Underwood Hotel and also did volunteer work at the Prairieview Nursing Home at Underwood.

She assisted her husband as bookkeeper for Hoff's Excavating Co. For the past several years, they had spent the winter months living in Mesa. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Underwood.

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy; one son and daughter-in-law, Don and Sharon of Velva; three grandchildren, Ryan Hoff, Taylor Hoff and Mary Hoff; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Delayne and Roland Weisz of Underwood, Deloris Rodgers of Mandan, and Joyce and Walter Wall of Coquille, Ore.; and two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Virgil and Amanda Clark of Underwood, Elsie Clark of Underwood and Vernon "Bud" and Mary Ann Clark, Eugene, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dr. Terry Hoff; and one brother, Clements Clark. (Goetz Funeral Home, Underwood)

Clifford Tompt
Clifford Tompt, 84, Bismarck, died Feb. 7, 1998, in Valley City. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Good Sheperd Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Erik Saxvik officiating.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at Eastgate Funeral Service, and for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Clifford was born on Jan. 1, 1914, in Gladstone Township, La Moure County, the son of Joachim and Olianne (Midtbu) Tompt. He grew up and attended school in Gladstone Township.

In the 1930s, Cliff worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps. In 1937, he married Muriel Sandness. They made their home for a short time in The Dalles, Ore., before returning to North Dakota in 1940.

He entered the U.S. Army in 1914, serving in Germany. After being honorably discharged in 1946, he returned to Benson Corners, La Moure County, where he was a self-employed mechanic.

In 1952, he began working for Dan Dugan Oil Company, working for them in Moorhead, Jamestown and Bismarck. Cliff retired in 1976. Cliff and Muriel wintered in Arizona, and had a summer lake home at Lake Ida, Minnesota.

Cliff is survived by his wife, Muriel; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clinton and Marlene of Jamestown and Ronald and Darlene of Huntington Beach, Calif.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Connie Anderson of Moorhead, Minn., and Eileen and Mike Holwegner of Bismarck; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister. (Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck)

CARRINGTON -- Dorothy Wright, 96, formerly of the Chaseley and Bowdon areas, died Feb. 8, 1998, in a Carrington hospital. Arrangements are pending with Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden.

LaGarda M. Reynolds, 75, 1701 Third Ave. N.W., Mandan, died July 26, 1997, in her home. Arrangements are pending at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan.
