She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Opp, Lincoln, and Josephine Fisher, Prairie De Chen, Wis.; one son, Kenneth, Bismarck; and one brother, Herman Horstmeyer, Hazelton.
Deanna Singer
Deanna M. Singer, 57, Longmont, Colo., formerly of Bismarck, died Dec. 29, 1998, in a Longmont hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Longmont.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; two sons, Greg, Longmont, and Jon, Fitchburg, Mass.; three brothers, Paul Brink, Bismarck, Peter Brink, Denver, and Stephen Brink, Appleton, Wis.; and one sister, Laurey Brink, Eden Prairie, Minn. (Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, Longmont)

Sunny Moore
Sunny Key Moore, 39, Mandan, died Dec. 29, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Robert Feeney officiating.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, where a rosary will be said at 7 tonight, followed by a vigil at 7:30.
Sunny Key was born March 12, 1959, in Bismarck. Raised and educated in the Bismarck-Mandan area, she had most recently been employed at the Fiesta Villa Restaurant in Bismarck. True to her chosen name, Sunny was blessed with a cheerful countenance and disposition, which was always in evidence wherever she went. She loved being with other people and it was often said of her that she lit up a room when she entered. Sunny's life revolved around her young son, Dustyn.
She will be deeply missed by those who survive her, including her son, Dustyn Moore; her mother, Marianne Olney, Mandan; her sister, Bonnie Key Sumner and her husband, Rocky, Thompson Falls, Mont.; her brother, Richard Key, Bismarck; one niece, Michelle Key; two nephews, Greg and Chris Key; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her twin sisters, Colleen and Kathleen.
Mamie Loehrke
NEW SALEM -- Mamie Loehrke, 95, New Salem, died Jan. 5, 1999, of age-related causes in the New Salem nursing home. Services will be 2 p.m. MST Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church, New Salem, with the Rev. Loren Strum officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, New Salem.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, and will continue 6 to 7 p.m. MST Sunday at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem. Visitation will also be held from noon to 8 p.m. MST Monday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Chapel, New Salem, and at the church one hour before services.
Mamie was born Dec. 18, 1903, in Judson, the daughter of August and Augusta (Osterland) Nickel. She was raised on a farm south of Judson and educated in the area.
Her parents were originally tailors in Cleveland, Ohio, before homesteading in North Dakota. Mamie married Hubert Loehrke, Aug. 11, 1921, in Moorhead, Minn. They raised their family and farmed south of Judson for 40 years. They moved to Mandan in 1959. Hubert died on Aug. 29, 1972.
Mamie had been a resident of Liberty Heights, Mandan, for many years prior to moving to Elm Crest Manor in New Salem in the fall of 1998. She was named Volunteer of the Week for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She particularly enjoyed family outings, volunteering, playing in the Mandan Kitchen Band, and was a member of the Mandan Square Dancers Club and Zion Lutheran Church in New Salem.
Mamie is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Jean, Judson, Grant and Donna, Fort Rice, Dale "Jack" and Lydia, Judson; two daughters and one son-in-law, Joyce Mormann, Largo, Fla., JoAnn and James Arney, Gresham, Ore.; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert; her son, Glen; her brothers and sisters, Alma Dettman, Carl Nickel, Louis Nickel, Gertrude Kuller and Elsie Thiel.
Helen Hettich
SOLEN -- Helen G. Hettich, 76, Solen, died Jan. 7, 1999, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 610 12th St. N.W., Mandan, with the Rev. Walter Schott officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan. There will be no reviewal at the church.
Helen G. Dutton was born Nov. 11, 1922, in Mandan, the daughter of Chester and Pearl (Cessna) Dutton. She was raised and educated in the Selfridge area and married Paul Hettich, March 22, 1942. After a short time in Spencer, Iowa, they returned to her family farm southeast of Selfridge. They moved to Solen in 1957 and retired in 1975.
A woman whose hands were never idle, Helen loved animals and birds, crocheting and was a devoted gardener for many years.
She was a life member of the Solen American Legion Auxiliary and the Mandan Eagles.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; three daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and Pat Henderson, Solen, Paula and Lonnie Schwartz, Bismarck, and Yvonne and Kent Stave, Las Vegas; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Marvin and Barb, Solen, Terry and his special friend, Shirleen Boehm, Bismarck, Larry and Shirl, Twin Falls, Idaho, and Farron, Flasher; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Thompson, Marysville, Wash., and Alice McKay, Vancouver, Wash.; and three brothers, Gerald and Chester Dutton, Washington state, and Lee Dutton, Vale, S.D.
She was preceded in death by one son, Arlan; and four brothers.
Caryl Blaeser
Caryl Blaeser, 71, 110 E. Kavaney Drive, died Jan. 7, 1999, at her home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Church of Corpus Christi, Bismarck, with the Rev. Steve Zastoupil officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today and Sunday at Boelter Funeral Home, and will continue at the church one hour before services.
She was born Sept. 11, 1927, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Meyer. She was raised in Bismarck and graduated from St. Mary's High School. Caryl worked at the State Insurance Department at the North Dakota State Capitol before her marriage and a short time after. She married Joe Blaeser June 23, 1950, in Bismarck.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Choir, and was an officer with the Alpha Epsilon Chapter of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority.
Caryl was a determined person who would usually accomplish her goals. She was a devoted wife and mother who spent time with her family. In later years she enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband.
Caryl faced her illness with dignity from the beginning through the end.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly, Bismarck; two sons, Kent, Bismarck, and Kevin, Minneapolis; and her sister, Eloyse Walcher, Minneapolis.
The family wishes to thank special friend Gen Horner, who helped Caryl through this difficult time, as well as Sister Ivo Schoch, Judy Vasey, Professional Home Health Care and St. Alexius Hospice for all their care.
Caryl was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, who died Sept. 2, 1987.
Faye Gaddis
Faye Gaddis, 53, Mandan, died Jan. 7, 1999, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with burial in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan. There will be no reviewal at the church.
Faye H. Billing was born Feb. 16, 1945, in Minot, the daughter of Aaron and Helen (Webster) Billing. Raised and educated in the area, she graduated from Minot High School in 1963, and married James Gaddis May 15, 1964, in Minot.
She and Jim moved from Minot to Mandan in 1978. They enjoyed watching and feeding birds. A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, she was also dedicated to her job in tax preparation at the Mandan H&R Block offices. She served on the Morton County Election Board for many years.
She will be deeply missed by those who survive her, including her husband, James; her daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Jeff Wolf, Bismarck; her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Carol, Mandan; her mother, Helen Billing, Minot; four grandchildren, Melissa and Brad Evans, and Tyler and Nathan Gaddis; two sisters, Rosemary Fassel, Pleasant Hill, Calif., and Sharon Roy, San Jose, Calif.; and her brother, Carl Billing, Minot.
She was preceded in death by her father; and one brother, Donald Billing.
