Florence Zwicker
COLEHARBOR -- Florence Zwicker, 83, rural Coleharbor, died Oct. 3, 1999, in a Bismarck hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Augustana Lutheran Church, Underwood. Burial will be in Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Florence was born April 23, 1916, to Charlie and Minnie (Erickson) Okerson in Garrison. She grew up and attended school in rural Malcolm. She was the first baby baptized in Bethel Lutheran Church, which is now located at Buckstop Junction in Bismarck. Florence married Elmer Zwicker on Nov. 21, 1939, at the Underwood Church Parsonage. She was a very generous individual who loved gardening, raising poultry and making hundreds of covered hangers to give to friends and family. She will always be remembers for her wonderful meals, coffee and lunches where everyone was always welcome.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer; two daughters, Beverly and her husband, Don Helm, rural Denhoff, and Arlyce and her husband, Mike Malarkey, Bismarck; three brothers, Clarence and his wife, Blanche Okerson, Harold and his wife, Martha Okerson, and Ervin and his wife, Violette Okerson; three sisters, Anne Keel, Mildred and her husband, Gottlieb Henne, and Laverne and her husband, Arnold Schumaier; two grandchildren, Jason and his wife, Brandie, and David Malarkey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Myrtle Hanson, Eleanor Keel and Evelyn Keel; and three brothers-in-law, Arnold Hanson, Ralph Keel and Elmer Keel. (Bismarck Funeral Home)

Doris Knudtson
WASHBURN -- Doris M. Knudtson, 71, rural Washburn, died Aug. 25, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at First Lutheran Church, Washburn, with the Rev. Bradley Brauer officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Washburn.

Visitation will be from 1:30-9 p.m. Friday, at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Doris May Holtan was born Jan. 24, 1927, at Washburn, to Horace and Kristine (Nilson) Holtan. She grew up northwest of Washburn where she attended rural school. She graduated from Washburn High School in 1945. She attended Minot State Teachers College where she received her teaching certificate. She taught rural schools near Washburn and Turtle Lake. She later worked at Bismarck, as a secretary at the State Auditors Office. She married Marion Knudtson on March 15, 1952, at Washburn. They lived five miles west of Washburn where they farmed and ranched.

She was a member of Sakakawea Homemakers Club, and the Washburn American Legion Auxiliary. She was an active member of the WELCA at First Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilt making.

She is survived by her husband, Marion; one daughter and son-in-law, Loralee and Kenneth Heiser, Bismarck; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Carol Knudtson, Bismarck, and Lamar and Marcy Knudtson, Ingleside, Texas; five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Hurley and Jennie Holtan, and Elliott Holtan, all of Washburn; and four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Helen Rivinius, Bismarck, Gladys Goetz, Harvey, Joy and Oren Larison, Worthington, Minn., and Donna and Theodore Kleingartner, Bismarck.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Esther and Ruth. (Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn)

Marvel Bayer
JAMESTOWN -- Marvel M. Bayer, 63, Jamestown, died Aug. 26, 1998, in Jamestown. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Atonement Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.

She is survived by her husband, Dale; three sons, David and Corey, both of Jamestown, and Mark, Fargo; two sisters, Evelyn Wolf, Napoleon, and Bonnie Herrick, Winona, Minn.; and one brother, Robert Clifford, Mandan. (Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown)

Elizabeth Roshau
Elizabeth Roshau, 72, Mobridge, S.D., died Aug. 26, 1998, in her home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mobridge, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Leo; three sons, Mike and Joe, both of Mobridge, and David, Holabird, S.D.; two daughters, Rose Espeland, Bismarck, and Theresa Westcott, Holabird; and three sisters, Eva Bader, Dewitt, N.Y., Maria DeGracia, Syracuse, N.Y., and Elvira Schumann, Germany. LeOma Sterioti
LeOma M. Sterioti, 76, 905 N. Sixth St., died Aug. 27, 1998, in her home. Arrangements are pending at Eastgate Funeral Service.

Theresa Craden
Theresa Craden, 69, Bismarck, died Aug. 27, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Garrett Seiler
Garrett Seiler, age nine weeks, died unexpectedly Aug. 24, 1998, in Omaha of natural causes. Services will be held at 11 a.m. CDT today at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Mandan. Burial will be at 1 p.m. MDT today at St. Bonaventure Cemetery, rural McIntosh, S.D.

Garrett Thomas Seiler was born June 22, 1998, in Omaha and is survived by his parents, Corey Seiler and Shona Boyko, Omaha; his grandparents, Jim and Bev Seiler, McIntosh, Gene Boyko, East Bethel, Minn., and Shirley Boyko, Bismarck; his great-grandparents, Everett Watson, Rhame, Dan Boyko, Mandan, and Warren and Sylvia Melby, Minot; and several uncles, aunts and cousins. Joannie Olsen
STANTON -- Joannie Ann Olsen, 13, Stanton, died Aug. 26, 1998, in the Hazen hospital due to a horse riding accident. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Saturday at Fort Clark Nazarene Church, with burial in Deapolis Cemetery, rural Stanton.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. today at Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen.

She is survived by her mother, Becky Jamison, Bismarck; her father, Walter Olsen III, Bismarck; her twin sister, Jeannie Olsen, Stanton; her brother, Walter Olsen IV, Stanton; and her grandparents, Walter Olsen II and Vickey Olsen, Stanton.

Lawrence Erhardt
FLASHER -- Lawrence P. Erhardt, 60, Flasher, died June 12, 1999, at his home. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. MDT Tuesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Flasher, with the Rev. K.K. officiating. Burial will be in Flasher Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. MDT today at Dakota Memorial Chapel, Bismarck.

Lawrence was born Nov. 10, 1938, in Center, the son of Anton and Bertha (Roll) Erhardt. He was raised and educated in Flasher, where he graduated from Flasher High School in 1957. In 1961, Lawrence lived in California and worked at Aero Jet in Sacramento, Calif. He then moved back to Flasher in 1964 and farmed on the family farm. On May 29, 1965, Lawrence married Bernetta Bohl. They moved to Moffit where they farmed for five years. In 1970, they moved back to Flasher and began their own family farm, where Lawrence farmed until his death.

Lawrence enjoyed working with horses and leather working during the winter. He also enjoyed working at the Prairie Learning Center in Raleigh, and as a 4-H leader.

He is survived by his wife, Bernetta; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Lyle and Twyla Erhardt, Orchard, Neb., and Larry Erhardt, Bismarck; one grandson, Garrett Michael Erhardt; his mother, Bertha Erhardt, Mandan; one sister, Irene Elter, Mandan; and one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Rosie Erhardt, Mandan.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, Anton Erhardt; one brother, Clarence Erhardt; one son, Richard Erhardt; and one brother-in-law, Herb Elter.

Alice Selby
WILLISTON -- Alice Selby, 82, Williston, and formerly of Buford, died June 11, 1999, in the Williston hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Williston. Burial will be in Sidney Cemetery, Sidney, Mont.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Fulkerson Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. A prayer service will be at 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Alice B. Selby was born and raised at Lane, Mont., on May 16, 1917, the daughter of Almon and Josephine (Rhines) Butka. She lived for a time in California before the family returned to Lane, Mont. in 1928. Alice was educated at Richey, Mont., and graduated from Sidney High School. She received her teaching certificate from Dillon Normal School, Dillon, Mont. She taught school for a time and met Homer Selby. Homer Selby and Alice were married on April 27, 1940, at Butte, Mont. They made their first home at Monida, Mont., and later moved to Richey, Mont. Her husband, Homer, worked at the Holly Sugar Factory in Sidney, Mont., for a time before they moved to the Buford Community in 1945. At Buford, they farmed and raised their family of five children. Alice continued to make Buford her home until moving to Williston in 1990.

Alice devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the farm life and they were excellent stewards of the land. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar band. She was an avid seamstress in her earlier years and enjoyed reading and raising a garden.

Alice is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Alice Faye and Jim Coats, Mandan, and Diane and Hal Lang, Billings, Mont.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and JeAnne Selby, Bismarck, Jerry and Linda Selby, and Tom and Nancy Selby, all of Williston; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and five brothers and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Homer; and one brother, Lloyd Butka. (Fulkerson Funeral Home, Williston)

Margaret Heins
FESSENDEN -- Margaret M. Heins, 80, Fessenden, died June 11, 1999, in a Carrington health center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Church, rural Fessenden. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Ervin; one daughter, Marcia Johnson, St. Joseph, Minn.; and one son, Darrel Heins, rural Fessenden. (Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden)

Ada Erlenbusch
WILLISTON -- Ada Erlenbusch, 83, Williston, and formerly of Gwinner, died June 11, 1999, in a Williston nursing home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Forman. Burial will be in Gwinner Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Jan W. Erlenbusch, Williston; her stepson, Arneil Erlenbusch; and one sister, Eunice Anderson, Gwinner. (Everson Funeral Home, Williston)

Alma Kramer
FESSENDEN -- Alma Kramer, 95, Fessenden, died June 11, 1999, in a Carrington health center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, Fessenden.

She is survived by one son, Wesley, Fessenden; one daughter, Lois Erfle, Tacoma, Wash.; and one sister, Alice Thurman, New Zeeland. (Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden)

NEW ROCKFORD -- Edgar M. Arntson, 89, New Rockford, died June 12, 1999, in the Carrington health center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church, New Rockford. Further arrangements are pending with Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.
