Bertha Fredrickson
Bertha Furness Fredrickson, 83, Kalispell, Mont., and formerly of McGregor, died Oct. 28, 2000 in Kalispell. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Zion Lutheran Church, McGregor, with burial in Scandia Lutheran Cemetery, Battle View. She is survived by four sons, Leslie, Williston, Allan, Kalispell, James, Lewistown, Mont., and Darrel Leo, Fargo; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; her sisters, Petrina Barden, Minot, Sena Barden, Bozeman, Mont., and Clara Smith, McGregor. Eleanor Henke
HANNOVER -- Eleanor Henke, 84, Hannover, died Oct. 31, 2000 in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending with Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.

Kenneth B. Kroh
NEW SALEM -- Kenneth B. Kroh, 40, New Salem, died Oct. 30, 2000 in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Messiah Lutheran Church, Mandan, with the Rev. James A. Baneck officiating. Committal services will be held at Graceland Cemetery, New Salem, at 3:30 p.m. MST on Thursday. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. MST today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, New Salem, and will continue from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan. There will be no visitation at the church. Kenneth was born on March 30, 1960 in Tacoma, Wash., the son of Vernon and Loretta (Schaff) Kroh. He graduated from New Salem High School in 1979 and attended Bismarck State College where he earned three associate degrees. He also taught in the electronics program at the college. He worked for Sears for 20 years and for Cenex prior to beginning his employment with Melroe in 1998. He was a member of P.A.C.E. Local 7566. Kenny loved to repair engines and enjoyed electronics and computer games. He also appreciated music and played the guitar. As a child, Kenny spent his summers with Grandpa and Grandma Schaff in Mott. Kenny is survived by his mother, Loretta Cantlon, Mandan; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gina and Kelly Jacobson, Finley and Jackie and Mike Hoyt, San Antonio, Texas; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Curtis and Judy Kroh, Washburn, and Michael Cantlon, Fairbanks, Alaska; his grandmother, Catherine Schaff, Mandan; nieces and nephews, Vernon Neal Kroh, Minot, Jeremy Toepke, Wahpeton, Deanna Toepke, San Antonio, Travis Kroh, Fargo, and Kimberly, Michelle, Kristie and Kyle Jacobson, Finley. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Kroh; his brother, James; and his grandparents, Henry and Emma Kroh and Theodore Schaff. (Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan)

Evelyn Marie Nelson
HARVEY -- Evelyn Marie Nelson, 94, Harvey, died Oct. 30, 2000 in a Rugby care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at First Lutheran Church, Harvey. Further arrangements are pending with Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

George Peterson
MCCLUSKY -- George Peterson, 77, McClusky, died Oct. 30, 2000 in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Grace Lutheran Church, McClusky. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, at North Dakota Veterans' Cemetery, rural Mandan. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. today at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky. George was born on Feb. 16, 1923 near Mercer and was the son of Anders P. and Josephine (Moskvil) Peterson. He grew up on the family farm in Sheridan County. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. He attended rural school, the Mercer High School and graduated from the McClusky High School in 1942. In September of 1942, he entered the United States Army. He served in Europe in the 11th armored division and was in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. In Jan. of 1946, he was discharged and returned home and farmed with his father. He married Sybil Ness on Sept. 2, 1950 in Turtle Lake. They lived and farmed southwest of Pickardville all their lives. He was also a rural letter carrier for 27 years. George is survived by his wife, Sybil; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robin and Chris, Grand Forks, and Terry and Theresa, Bismarck; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Connie Peterson, Bismarck, Susan and Tucker Simes, McClusky, Patti Peterson-Balliet and her husband, Richard Balliet, Bismarck; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his brothers, Lawrence, Bismarck, Leif, Flagstaff, Ariz.; and Nels, Burlington, Wash. George was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons, Clyde and Eugene; and his brothers, Anders Peter, Jr., and Norman (Heckon).

Gary Prodzinski
JAMESTOWN -- Gary Prodzinski, 47, Jamestown, died Oct. 29, 2000 in a Jamestown care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fried, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Deb; his mother, Veronica Prodzinski, Buchanan; two brothers, Gene, Avon, Minn., and Dennis, Buchanan; four sisters, Carol Lees, Buchanan, Cynthia Morlock, Jamestown, and Betty Prodzinski and Angela Prodzinski, both of Buchanan. Wendelin Schumacher
LINTON -- Wendelin Schumacher, 88, Linton, died Oct. 31, 2000 in the Linton hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton. Further arrangements are pending with Myers Funeral Home, Linton.

Carla Young
GLADSTONE -- Carla Young, 49, Gladstone, died Oct. 28, 2000 at her home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Friday, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dickinson, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, New England. She is survived by four children, Margaret Yohannes, Dickinson, Kathy Livingston, Benson, Minn., James Hereford II, Billings, Mont., and Marcus Young, Dickinson; two sisters and four brothers, Margo Cook, Mary Ahern, Jerry Stahl, Wesley Stahl, Lyle Stahl and Curtis Stahl; and three grandchildren. Frances E. Bergland
Frances E. Bergland, 70, Mandan, died Oct. 31, 2000 in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at First Lutheran Church, Mandan. Further arrangements are pending with Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.

Eleanor Buckman
DICKINSON -- Eleanor Buckman, 94, formerly of Belfield, died Oct. 31, 2000 in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Monday, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Belfield. Further arrangements are pending with Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.

WILLISTON -- Charles E. Coulter, 96, formerly of Williston, died Oct. 29, 2000 in Minneapolis. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Everson Funeral Home, Williston. Further arrangements are pending.

Nicole Marie Dionne
Nicole "Nikki" Marie Dionne, 16, died Oct. 24, 2000 at her home in Billings, Mont. unexpectedly. She is survived by her parents, Mark and Terri (Collins) Dorendorf; one sister, Misty Dionne, two brothers, Bobby Dionne and Marc James Dorendorf, all of Billings; her grandparents, John and Sharon Schmidt, Marian Seerup, Florence Powell, all of Mandan, and Verdell Collins, Bismarck, and Uncle Scott and Tomi Collins, Bismarck.

Amelia Eichenberger
Amelia Eichenberger died Oct. 31, 2000 in a Bismarck care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Grace Lutheran Church, Driscoll, with the Rev. Jo Olson officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. Public visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, both at Boelter Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday evening. Visitation will continue from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home, and will continue one hour before services at the church. Amelia was born in the early 1900's to Fred and Marie Haid. Amelia married Harry Eichenberg on March 17, 1933 in Linton. Following their marriage, they made their home near Pollock, S.D. Later they moved to the Kintyre area and in 1969, they moved to a farm near Sterling. In 1996, Amelia entered a care center in Bismarck where she lived until her death. Amelia was a quiet and gentle lady, with her family at the center of her life. Amelia is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jerry, Ray and Diane, all of Bismarck; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and the Rev. Jerry Lee, Bismarck; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, her identical twin, Elizabeth Fried, Driscoll, Helen Fried, Bismarck, and Pauline Johnson, Napoleon, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry of 60 years; one son, Leo; one infant daughter and one infant son; two brothers, two sisters and one step-great-granddaughter. Leonard E. Ellis
WESTHOPE -- Leonard E. Ellis, 92, Westhope, formerly of New Rockford, died Nov. 1, 2000 in the Westhope nursing home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Grace Lutheran Church, Sheyenne, with burial at 2 p.m. in Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown. He is survived by his wife, Helen; three daughters, Marilyn Martinez, Des Moines, Iowa, Eilene Carlson, Sheyenne, and Elaine Rogers, Maxbass; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Eleanor Henke
NEW SALEM -- Eleanor Henke, 84, New Salem and formerly of Hannover, died Oct. 31, 2000 in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. CST Friday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Hannover, with the Rev. Greg Zillinger officiating. Burila will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-8 p.m. MST today at the Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, New Salem, and will continue one hour before services at the church. Eleanor was born on July 30, 1916, northwest of New Salem, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Holle) Klusmann. A graduate of New Salem High School, she married Edwin Henke on Oct. 24, 1945. They farmed near Hannover. She remained on the farm until four years ago when she moved to New Salem. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, crocheting and cooking, but particularly loved visiting with her friends and family. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Lucy Klusmann, Glen Ullin, and Ella Hintz, New Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special nephew who lived with her for many years, Lyle Letzring, New Salem. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, who died on March 4, 1987 and four brothers, Ted, Walter, Herbert and Bob.

Anna Marie Ibach
Anna Marie Ibach, 75, Burnstad, died Oct. 31, 2000 in the Wishek nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon, with the Rev. James Lauerman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to the time of services on Saturday, at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Anna Marie was born Aug. 11, 1925 on the family farm near Burnstad, the daughter of Anton Sr. and Alisia (Bitz) Becker. Anna Marie grew up on the family farm and received her elementary education in rural Logan County Schools. Anna Marie was married to Leo Ibach on Feb. 3, 1947 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, at rural Napoleon. Following their marriage, they lived on several farms in the Burnstad area. In 1951, they purchased a farm home two miles west of Burnstad where they currently reside. In 1961, Anna Marie purchased the Burnstad Grocery Store which she owned and operated until 1983. In 1966, she attended Christy's Beauty School in Bismarck. Together with her sister Alice, they opened Burnstad Beauty Shop in 1967, where she worked for several years before retiring due to ill health. Anna Marie was a member of St. Clare's Catholic Church, Burnstad, and a member of the Beaver Lake Homemaker Club for many years. Anna Marie loved to tend to her garden and flowers and take care of her yard as her hobbies. Survivors include: her husband, Leo Ibach; seven brothers, Joseph (Frances) Becker, Peter (Helen) Becker, all of Napoleon, Leo (Frances) Becker, George (Odilia) Becker, Anton (Marvie) Becker Jr., Paul (Lavita) Becker, Leonard (Carole) Becker, all of Bismarck, and three sisters, Helen (Tony) Schumacher, Betty (Kenny) Schumacher, both of Bismarck, and Alice (Gerald) Regner, Burnstad. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Hortense Loken
NEW ROCKFORD -- Hortense Loken, 104, New Rockford, died Nov. 1, 2000 in the New Rockford nursing home. A memorial service will be held at a later date at United Methodist Church, New Rockford. Further arrangements are pending with Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.
