JAMESTOWN -- Esther Rittmiller, 91, Jamestown, died Feb. 5, 2001, in a Jamestown nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Central Dakota Nursing Home Chapel, Jamestown. Burial will be in Monango Cemetery, Monango. She is survived by three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Elmer Abell, Williston, LeRoy Abell, Kalispell, Mont., and Melvin Abell, Peoria, Ariz.; and one sister, Edith Olson, Barefoot Bay, Fla. Esther Saeman
WING -- Esther Saeman, 80, Wing, died Feb. 6, 2001, in a Mandan care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Church, Wing. Further arrangements are pending with Bismarck Funeral Home.

Robert Schillinger
Robert Schillinger, 72, Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Bismarck and McClusky, died Jan. 14, 2001, in Colorado Springs. Services were held Jan. 17 at Wilson United Methodist Church, Colorado Springs. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs. He is survived by his wife, Pearl, Colorado Springs; one daughter, Marsha Shonoiki; three sons, Jeffrey, Randall and Robert; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Olga Shave
LEMMON, S.D. -- Olga Shave, 92, Lemmon, died Feb. 5, 2001, in a Lemmon nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MST Friday at Prince of Peace Chapel, Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Lemmon. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Lemmon. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Marion Syvrud
Marion Syvrud, 88, Mandan, died Feb. 5, 2001, at her home. Arrangements are pending with Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.

Edward J. Baumgartner
HILLSBORO -- Edward J. Baumgartner, 79, Hillsboro, died Feb. 6, 2001, in the Roseau hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Hillsboro. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia; eight sons, Daniel, Thief River Falls, Minn., James, Hillsboro, Robert, Kuwait, Edward Jr., Flower Mound, Texas, Mark, Detroit Lakes, Minn., Fr. David, Ada, Minn., Paul, Harwood, and Michael, Moorhead, Minn.; three daughters, Jeanne Chandler, Hillsboro, Mary Kay Brenden, Glyndon, Minn., and Ann Smith, Hillsboro; 15 grandchildren; three brothers, Tony and Andy, both of Strasburg, and LeRoy, Gladstone, Ore.; and six sisters, Lizzie Larson, Aberdeen, S.D., Clara Silvernagel, Linton, Ann Goldade, Bismarck, Ella Wagner, Hebron, Viola Weisbeck, Palatine, Ill., and Sally Klein, Bloomington, Ind. HARVEY -- Elsie Fetzer, 83, Harvey, died Feb. 5, 2001, in the Harvey hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church, Harvey. Burial will be in Ebenezer Congregational Cemetery, rural Anamoose. She is survived by her husband, Henry; two daughters, Pearl McKinven, Martin, and Ruby Jackson, Bismarck; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Walter Breckel, Fordville; and one sister, Adella Oster, Drake. Gertrude Gerling
WILLISTON -- Gertrude Gerling, 75, Williston, formerly of Wheelock, died Feb. 5, 2001, in a Williston nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Epping Lutheran Church, Epping. Burial will be in Epping Cemetery. She is survived by one sister-in-law, Evelyn Gerling, Wheelock; and one nephew, Jesse Gerling, Mandan. (Everson Funeral Home, Williston)

NEW ROCKFORD -- Dean Jensen, 73, New Rockford, formerly of Jamestown, died Feb. 7, 2001, in a New Rockford nursing home. Arrangements are pending with Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.

Lester J. Johnson
WILLISTON -- Lester J. Johnson, 74, Williston, died Feb. 3, 2001, in a Williston nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Williston. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Williston. He is survived by his wife, Mavis; three sons, Everett, Squaw Gap, Everl, Williston, and Jacky, Aurora, Colo.; three daughters, Twila Blekestad, Alexander, Lynn Johnson, Aurora, Colo., and Terry Fornshell, Fargo; and nine grandchildren. Jerome Keller
ESMOND -- Jerome Keller, 86, Esmond, died Feb. 5, 2001, in the New Rockford nursing home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Esmond. Burial will be in the spring at the church cemetery. He is survived by one son, Jerome, Fargo; one daughter, A. Jane Danduran, Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Balzar, Rochester, Wash., and Tony and Joseph, both of Everett, Wash.; and two sisters, Theresa Brown and Christine Rowe, both of Everett, Wash. Christopher Lembke
Christopher Lembke, 23, Bismarck, died Feb. 5, 2001, in a local hospital of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, with the Rev. Thomas Kramer officiating. Visitation, without viewing, will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service. Christopher, better known by his friends as "Bubba," was born March 2, 1977, in Bismarck, the son of Dennis and Silvia Lembke. He was raised in Bismarck and attended Hughes Junior High School and Century High School. Along with playing football and enjoying fishing, Christopher was known to be a great cook. This past Christmas, Christopher was most excited to receive a cast iron cooking set and a fishing pole. He was a team leader at Sykes. Christopher had a personality that drew people to him and his friends were very important to him. He was excited about the new direction and hopeful beginnings in his life. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Silvia and Jim Anderson, Mora, Minn., and his father, Dennis Lembke, Fargo; one sister and brother-in-law, Elissa and Martin Kasper, Little Canada, Minn.; one brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Bryndon, New Hope, Minn.; his grandparents, Fabian and Minerva Zimmerman, Taylor; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the donor's choice.

NEW ROCKFORD -- Floyd McNamara, 85, New Rockford, died Feb. 7, 2001, in a New Rockford nursing home. Arrangements are pending with Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.

Kenneth B. Olson
KILLDEER -- Kenneth B. Olson, Killdeer, 69, died Feb. 6, 2001, in a Killdeer care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MST Friday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Killdeer. Burial will be in Whetstone Cemetery, Killdeer. He is survived by his wife, Sherrie; four daughters, Angela Olson, Killdeer, Carmella Ross, Newnan, Ga., Marlease Rambousek, Dickinson, and Denise Beckler, Keene; one son, Dean, Killdeer; his mother, Eva Olson, Killdeer; one sister, Viola Wing, Killdeer; one brother, Art, Miles City, Mont.; and six grandchildren. Esther A. Saeman
WING -- Esther A. Saeman, 80, Wing, died Feb. 6, 2001, in a Mandan care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wing, with the Rev. Steve Sathre officiating. Burial will be in Wing Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Bismarck Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church. Esther was born Dec. 10, 1920, in Golden Valley, the daughter of Immanuel and Mathilda (Boettcher) Schulz. She attended rural school in the Golden Valley area. Esther married Arther Saeman Oct. 29, 1939, at Defiance Lutheran Church near Dodge. They bought a farm near Dodge in 1940. In 1948 they moved to Jamestown, where they farmed until they moved to Wing in 1951. In 1955 they moved to Sydney, Mont., until 1961, when the moved back to Wing to live on their farm where they raised cattle and dairy cows. In 1977 they sold the farm to their son Jim but continued living on the farm. Arthur died in 1991. Esther loved to travel. During their travels, Esther and Arthur saw most of the United States. She loved reading, quilting, gardening, music and doing yardwork. Esther was a member of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wing and was a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She is survived by two sons and three daughters-in-law, Victor and Shirley, Mandan, James and Doris, Wing, and Clarice Saeman, Auburn, Wash.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three step-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Emma Mai, Tenn., Pauline Zeiszler, Hazen, Dorothy Mohl, Beulah, and Minnie Saeman, Bismarck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; one son, LaVern; her parents; two sisters, Elenor Lauf and Freida Mueller; and one brother, Theodore Schulz.

Clinton E. See
Clinton E. See, 81, Long Creek, Ore., formerly of Wing and Bismarck, died Jan. 22, 2001. Services were held Jan. 26 in Long Creek. Burial was in Willamette National Veterans Cemetery, Portland, Ore. He is survived by his wife, Meachie; two sons, Rob, Denver, and Bud, Oregon City, Ore.; one daughter, Katie Purvis, Sisters, Ore.; two sisters, Maxine Brown, Sterling, and Donna Mae Steach, Medford, Ore.; one brother, Keith, Klamath Falls, Ore.; and nine grandchildren.

Helen Zakopayko
GRASSY BUTTE -- Helen Zakopayko, 74, Grassy Butte, died Feb. 7, 2001, in a Dickinson nursing home. Arrangements are pending with Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City.

Rudy Bich
DICKINSON -- Rudy Bich, 83, Dickinson, died Feb. 8, 2001, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MST Saturday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Dickinson, with the Rev. Peggy Harris officiating. Burial will be in Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson, and will continue at the church one hour prior to the service. Rudy Bich was born Aug. 18, 1917, twelve miles south of Harvey, to Jacob and Leontina (Winter) Bich. He attended school in Harvey, Bismarck and Hebron. Rudy married Evelyn Esslinger, Sept. 1, 1940, in Dickinson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Rudy worked for the Frank Gokey family businesses, Surety Mutual Insurance of Fargo and Northern Bottling of Minot from 1956 to 1985, when he retired as vice president and general manager. Evelyn died Jan. 20, 1993. Rudy was a member of the German-Hungarian Lodge, Eagles Club and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed reading and traveling. He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gerald B. and Linda, Minneapolis, and Donald J., Boise, Idaho.; four sisters, Freda Morris and Lillian Bich, both of Tacoma, Wash., Louella Mitchell, Wenatchee, Wash., and Deloras Gehlhausen, Silverdale, Wash.; one brother, James, Wenatchee, Wash.; and one sister-in-law, Joyce Kostelecky, Dickinson. He was preceded in death by his wife; and his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center ICU, St. Joseph's LifeCare Foundation, 30 W. Seventh St., Dickinson, ND 58601.

Samuel A. Fisher
DICKINSON -- Samuel A. "Sam" Fisher, 58, Dickinson, died Feb. 8, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending with Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.
