MINNEWAUKAN -- Olga T. Hjelden, 84, Minnewaukan, died Dec. 9, 2000, in the Devils Lake care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Minnewaukan, with burial in West Minnewaukan Cemetery. She is survived by four daughters, Mavis Overby, Bisbee, Clarice Cramer, Kindred, Joyce Greene, Fargo, and Ardis Christianson, Valley City; five sons, Myron, Vergas, Minn., Jerry, Grand Forks, Rodney, Surrey, David, Gillette, Wyo., and Jim, Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada; 37 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mabel Thompson, Bismarck; and one brother, Laurice Ness, Devils Lake. Kylie Marie Hyttinen
WASBHURN -- Kylie Marie Hyttinen, the infant daughter of Michael and Bobbie Jo Hyttinen, Washburn, was stillborn Dec. 12, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Edwin's Catholic Church, Washburn, with burial in Riverview Cemetery, Washburn. She is survived by her parents, Michael and Bobbie Jo; three brothers, Donovan, Gunnar and Coltan; her grandparents, Greg and Judy Hyttinen, Hensler, and Bob and Jeanette Thomas, Mandan; and her great-grandmothers, Thelma Hyttinen, Beulah, Rose Thomas, Bismarck, and Elizabeth Schaner, Center. Myron A. Jorgenson
WILLISTON -- Myron A. Jorgenson, 62, Williston, died Dec. 13, 2000, in his home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fulkerson Funeral Home, WIlliston. Further arrangements are pending.

Paulina Kessler
ELGIN -- Paulina Kessler, 100, Portland, Ore., died Dec. 12, 2000, in Tigard, Ore. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MST Saturday at Hope Conservative Congregational Church, Elgin, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Viola Stern, Portland, Ore., and Elsa Geier, Gleneden Beach, Ore.; 24 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 42 great-great-grandchildren. Lazarus Leintz
Lazarus "Ed" Leintz, 85, died Dec. 13, 2000, in a Bismarck care center. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with the Rev. Charlie Heidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, where a vigil and rosary will begin at 7 tonight. Lazarus E. Leintz was born July 17, 1915, at Brisbane, the son of Felix and Braxada (Volk) Leintz. He was raised on a farm near Brisbane and educated in rural schools. On May 25, 1938, he married Rofina Ruschinsky. They farmed near Brisbane for a few years before moving into Brisbane where he trucked for John Stevens for four years. They later moved to Bismarck where Ed worked for Cloverdale. He also did carpenter work for many years until hip surgery forced him into retirement and he had to enter Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Eagles and the United Commercial Travelers of America. Ed is survived by his wife, Rofina; one son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Irene Leintz, Bismarck; one daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Larry Glaser, Henderson, Nev.; seven grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Adam, John and Mike; and five sisters, Helen, Katie, Clara, Rose and Anna. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Helen Metzger
NEW SALEM -- Helen Metzger, 94, New Salem, died Dec. 12, 2000, in New Salem. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MST Friday at First Baptist Church, Hebron, with burial in First United Methodist Cemetery, Hebron. Visitation will be from 2:30-8 p.m. today at Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron, and will continue at the church one hour before services. Helen was born Oct. 4, 1908, at Glen Ullin, to Karl Miller and Rosina Diede. She was raised and educated near Glen Ullin. She moved to Hebron and worked for the Columbia Hotel. She married Christ Metzger, Feb. 20, 1926, at Hebron. She stayed home and raised the family. She enjoyed sewing, canning and especially baking. In 1953 they moved to Mandan where she worked for the State Industrial School as a cook and later worked at Heartview. They retired and moved to Hebron in 1970, where she enjoyed getting together with friends to play games. Helen also loved the visits from the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In August she entered the Elmcrest Manor at New Salem, where she has resided since. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hebron. She is survived by five daughters and four sons-in-law, Mae and Wilbert Buchli, Hebron, Jane and Adelor Pilon, East Grand Forks, Minn., Rachel Ridgewell, Couer de Alaine, Idaho, Elaine and Clarence Titterington, Marysville, Wash., and Marion and Richard Nagel, Bismarck; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; five sisters; and one son-in-law.

Caroline Mollick
Caroline Kincaid Mollick, 89, Bremerton, Wash., died of natural causes, Dec. 4, 2000, in Bremerton. She was born Nov. 12, 1911, in Huff, to Martin and Elizabeth (Tschida) Graner. She graduated in 1931 from Mandan High School and from Dickinson State Teachers College in 1939. She married Russell J. Mollick on April 5, 1975, in Bremerton. She taught in a one-room school for 11 years in North Dakota. She then was a supply clerk at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 22 years, retiring in 1975. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Cliff Kincaid, Port Orchard, Wash., and Clayton Kincaid, Snohomish, Wash.; two stepdaughters, Catherine Hughes, Clovis, N.M., and Patricia Scott, Henderson, Nev.; two sisters, Dolores Fuchs, Bremerton, and Rita Schmidt, Huff; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore A. Kincaid, in 1951; and a stepdaughter, Virginia Tecter. Funeral services were held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bremerton. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Western and Central Chapter, 12721 30th Ave. N.E., Suite 101, Seattle, Wash. 98125, or Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4215 Pine Road, Bremerton, Wash. 98310.

Edwin Mueller
WISHEK -- Edwin Mueller, 93, Wishek, died Dec. 12, 2000, in the Wishek nursing home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zion United Methodist Church, Wishek, with burial in Wishek Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Esther; one son, Gerald, Wishek; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter, Wishek, and Edward, Gackle; and five sisters, Bertha Solar, Stockton, Calif., Marie Merkel, Lodi, Calif., Edna Pedrucie, Stockton, Lorraine Gill, Columbus, Ohio, and Viola Erbele, Wishek. Richard Neumiller
Richard Neumiller, 75, Bismarck, died Dec. 12, 2000, in his home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bismarck Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donald W. Burnett officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Thursday at Bismarck Funeral Home, and will continue one hour before services at the church. Richard was born April 4, 1925, in rural Mercer to Gustave and Christina (Strobel) Neumiller. He attended rural school in McLean County. In his youth, he was active in 4-H and won many awards. He always loved working with his horses and cattle. He married Leona Bohnet, Oct. 3, 1951, in McClusky. After their marriage, they made their home on the Neumiller farm south of Mercer for 44 years. They moved to Bismarck in 1995. After retiring he began working with diamond willow canes. His children and grandchildren were very dear to him. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Leona; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Douglas Miller, Underwood; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wesley and Christie, Wilton, Marvin and Kathy, Washburn, and Dale and June, Wilton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ella and John Schon, and Violet and Leo Just, all of Bismarck; one sister-in-law, Edith Neumiller, Richmond, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Steven Miller, Joel, Rick and Jacob Neumiller, Cory and Casey Neumiller, and Amanda Neumiller. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; three infant sisters, Herta, Aletha and Alvina; and one brother, Lenhart.

Glenn E. Speaks
Glenn E. Speaks, 71, 427 S. Washington St., died Dec. 13, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at noon Friday at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, with the Rev. Allan Shaner officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan, with military rites by VFW Post 1326. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home and will continue at the church one hour before services. Glenn was born June 15, 1929, at Bismarck, to Harold and Aneita (Stephens) Speaks. He was raised and educated in Bismarck and Coleharbor. Glenn worked construction for the majority of his life and drove taxi for Taxi 9000 for 14 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War and had been a member of the VFW and American Legion. He married Elaine Glasser in Bismarck in 1967. As an outdoor person, he loved fishing and in the spring of the year was an avid morel mushroom seeker and enjoyed cooking them. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Borislav Banjac, Sauk Rapids, Minn.; one son, John, California; one stepdaughter, Renae Huwe, Bismarck; one stepson, Jeffrey Glasser, Bismarck; one sister and brother-in-law, June and Vernon Allen, Eugene, Ore.; grandchildren, Andrew and Jessica Speaks, Nicholas, Caitlin and Garnet Mayo, Taya and Sreten Banjac; and step-grandchildren, Jack and Anastasia Glasser, Joel and Eric Huwe. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, James and Hurschel.

Margaret Tuhy
DICKINSON -- Margaret Tuhy, 81, Dickinson, died Dec. 12, 2000, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson.

Alysha Vetter
Alysha Vetter, the 3-month-old daughter of Scott Vetter and Christina Shell, Bismarck, died Dec. 13, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Mary White
STEELE -- Mary White, 100, Steele, died Dec. 9, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Steele, with the Rev. Paul Tjostem officiating. Burial will be in Dawson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service. Mary Eastburn was born Aug. 31, 1900, in Lehaska, Penn., the daughter of Timothy Taylor and Mattie Eastburn. In 1905, with her parents and younger sister, Abigail, she moved to Dawson. Mary married Frederick Raymond "Bud" White Sr., on Aug. 21, 1920, at Fargo. Bud and Mary farmed in Buckeye Township during the difficult depression and dust bowl years. While the times were stressful, the family found true friendship and rewarding days with their neighbors and friends. The family moved into Dawson in 1937. Mary assisted her parents with duties in their operation of the Sibley Hotel, worked on the staff of the Slade Hunting Lodge, and in 1963, she retired after more than 20 years with Montana Dakota Utilities in its Steele office. Her husband, Frederick died in 1977, and she has resided in Steele since 1978. She was an active member of the Dawson Congregational Church, was church organist for over 50 years, and was a member of Eastern Star, VFW, Legion auxiliaries, and Dawson Senior Citizens. Mary is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carolyn Waddell, Bowling Green, Ky., Martha and Mert Thorsness, Steele, and Janrose and Lowell Jasper, Robinson, and Richard Neustel, Dawson; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Timothy and Frances White, Steele, Fred Jr. and Susie White, Steele, and Marlys White, Steele; 30 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Ruth Bickel. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharlow Neustel; two sons, E.R. "Buck" White, and Joseph G. White; one great-granddaughter, Kamella; one sister, Abigail; and two sons-in-law, Allen Thorsness and Leigh Waddell.

Karren Young
HEBRON -- Karren Young, 43, Hebron, died Dec. 11, 2000, in Hebron. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MST Thursday at Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron, with burial in St. John Cemetery, Hebron. She is survived by her husband, Jim; one son, Jeremy, at home; one daughter, Jessica, at home; and one sister, Wanda Scheck, Olathe, Kan.

Stanley L. Gulstad
GLENFIELD -- Stanley L. Gulstad, 84, Glenfield, died Dec. 10, 2000 in the Carrington care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Glenfield Lutheran Church, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown. He is survived by his wife, Violet; four sons, Gary, Ron and Craig, all of Glenfield, and Rick, Minneapolis; one daughter, Karen Busek, Bismarck; and six grandchildren. Flora Hammack
HAZEN -- Flora Hammack, 92, Hazen, died Dec. 8, 2000 in a Stanley nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Thursday, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Hazen, with the Rev. David Suelzle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Gordon, David, Mitchell and Michael Wilhelmi; Darrel and Don Hammack. Flora N. Hammack was born May 31, 1908 in Minnesota to Fred and Sophie Albers. She grew up and was educated at rural Hazen. She married Gene Hammack on Aug. 16, 1930 in Hazen. They farmed east of Hazen until 1937, when they moved to Tinley Park, Ill., where she worked as a clerk in a department store. In 1942, the couple with their three children, moved back to Hazen, and continued to farm east of Hazen. She worked at the Hazen drug store for 15 years. She was a life-long member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Hazen. She is survived by two sons, Clayton (Darrel), Wichita Falls, Texas, and Donald, Appleton, Wis.; and one daughter, Patricia Wilhelmi, Stanley; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; six brothers, Ed, Herb, Freddy, Emil, Ervin and Ernie; three sisters, Irene "Rena," Esther and Elsie; and one great-grandson, Kyle Wilhelmi.

Hildred Hendrickson
FARGO -- Hildred Hendrickson, 88, Fargo, formerly of Glenfield, died Dec. 10, 2000 in a Fargo nursing home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Glenfield Lutheran Church. Further arrangements are pending with Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

Elizabeth Lipp
LINTON -- Elizabeth "Lizzie" Lipp, 89, Linton, died Dec. 11, 2000 at her home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton. Further arrangements are pending with Myers Funeral Home, Linton.
