Raymond Boelter, 82, died May 7, 2000 in Seattle, Wash. He is survived by his son, David, Seattle; one daughter, Marion Dixon, Seattle; and three sisters, Arlene Klucas, Nisswa, Minn., Mildred Harms, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Beverly Harms, Bismarck.

Marsha Eble
Marsha Eble, 34, East Lake, Mich., died May 6, 2000 at her home of cancer. She is survived by her mother, Gloria Dockter, East Lake; her uncle and aunts, Ron and Gladys Zin, Diana and Kevin Kwasniewski, all of Mandan, and John and Nancy Dockter, Bismarck.

Blaine E. Fockler
DUNN CENTER -- Blaine E. Fockler, 89, died May 7, 2000 in a Bismarck care center. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. MDT Friday at Normanna Lutheran Church, Dunn Center, with the Rev. Piotr Pilch officiating. Burial will be in Dunn Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. MDT Thursday, at Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson, with a prayer service to held at 6:30 p.m. MDT by the Rev. Piotr Pilch. Blaine Fockler was born on May 18, 1910 in Braddock, the son of Joseph and Clara (Olson) Fockler. Blaine was raised and attended school in Braddock. Following graduation, Blaine attended North Dakota Agricultural College in Fargo. In 1932, he moved with his family to Dunn Center, where he and his stepfather opened a blacksmith shop and operated a trucking service. In September 1934, Blaine was united in marriage to Helen Fortune who worked as the telephone operator in Dunn Center. The couple continued to reside in Dunn Center. Blaine and Helen celebrated 63 years of marriage in 1997. In 1935, Blaine went into partnership with Carl Pederssen in what became the Dunn Center Motor Co. Blaine operated the business for 45 years until his retirement in 1980. In addition to his commitment to his business and his customers, Blaine was active in the Dunn Center and surrounding community, serving in many capacities including the city board, municipal judge, school board, fireman, Masonic Lodge, and Normanna Lutheran Church council. He enjoyed flying and was a private and was a private pilot for 25 years and was particularly active flying Red Cross missions in the 1940-1951 time period. Blaine also enjoyed traveling, spending 17 winters in the Mesa region of Arizona. He was also an avid golfer and loved to spend time with his family. He survived by two sons, Richard and wife Bette, Bismarck, and Roger and wife Betty, Woodbury, Minn.; four grandchildren, Amy and husband Kevin Hammond, Thief River Falls, Minn., Aaron Fockler and fiancee Jesseca Whitty, Grand Forks, Jennifer and Sarah Fockler, Woodbury; and one sister, Ruby Brown, San Jose, Calif. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen in 1998; his parents and one sister, Ada Boe. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials to the Normanna Lutheran Church in Dunn Center. Walter Hapip
WILLISTON -- Walter Hapip, 80, Williston, died May 6, 2000 at his home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Williston, with burial in Riverview Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Vera; one daughter, Diana Read, Williston; two sons, David, Las Vegas, Nev., and Wally, Mandan; five grandchildren; two sisters, Kathryn Hapip, Williston, and Freda Bouse, Richland, Wash.; and one brother, George, Phoenix, Ariz. Annamary Heidt
DICKINSON -- Annamary Heidt, 86, died May 7, 2000 in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. MDT Wednesday, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dickinson, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. She is survived by five daughters, Agnes Dowhaniuk, Pauline Pavlicek, Jenny Tormaschy, all of Dickinson, Mary Klein, Mandan, and Cathy Tuhy, Dickinson; two sons, Clement, Dickinson, and Ralph, Richfield, Minn.; 26 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; one brother, Ludwig Dukart, Rochester, Minn.; and two sisters, Jenny Frenzel and Catherine Olheiser, both of Dickinson. Bertha Helm
Bertha Helm, 84, Mandan, died May 5, 2000, at her home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Paul D. Fiske officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan. There will be no visitation at the church. Bertha was born March 7, 1916, on a farm 18 miles south of Beulah, the daughter of Jacob and Magdaline (Kessler) Schilling. Bertha attended school in Beulah and worked for area farm families. She married Gustov Helm on Jan. 3, 1938, in Hazen. Following their marriage, they lived in Gascoyne and then moved to Mandan in 1955. Gustov died on Nov. 23, 1998. Bertha enjoyed gardening, sewing, and painting, but placed primary importance on her family. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Mandan. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Gene G. and Nola, Las Vegas, Lesly D., Mandan, Charles "Chuck" and Cheryl, Mandan; one daughter, Arlene Helm, Grand Forks; five grandchildren, Sheron Helm, Michael Helm, Marla Belohlavek, Marianne Helm and Christina Helm; three great-grandchildren, Stacey and Justin Belohlavek and Jamaal Helm; two sisters, Martha Goehring, Beulah, and Louise Gruzie, Chinook, Mont.; and one brother, Jack Schilling, Montana. She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Albert, John and George; and two sisters, Freida and Pauline.

Laudie J. Hibl
DICKINSON -- Laudie J. Hibl, 78, Dickinson, died May 6, 2000 in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Wednesday, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with burial in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Ethel; six children, Darlene Fairaizl, Mandan, Diana Hibl, Dickinson, Duane, Amarillo, Texas, Darwin, Dickinson, Dona Voeller, Sartell, Minn., and Terry Twogood, Dickinson; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. Clarabel Jorgensen
WILLISTON -- Clarabel Jorgensen, 84, Williston, died in Pleasanton, Calif. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Williston. Further arrangements are pending with Everson Funeral Home, Williston.

Fern Kinneberg
DEVILS LAKE -- Fern Kinneberg, 88, Devils Lake, and formerly of Leeds, died May 7, 2000 in the Grand Forks hospital. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, at Nelson Funeral Home, Leeds, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one son, Richard, Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada; one stepdaughter, Norma Kinnear, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Blanch Vick, Jacksonville, Fla. Theodore Reichert
NEW LEIPZIG -- Theodore Reichert, 93, New Leipzig, died May 7, 2000 in the Hettinger nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Thursday, at New Leipzig Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by two sisters, Helen Brockel, Bison, S.D., and Martha Magstadt, Elgin. (Hertz Brothers Funeral Home, New Leipzig)

Edward C. Schmidt
Edward C. Schmidt, 74, 308 W. Custer Park St., died May 8, 2000 at his home. Arrangements are pending with Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck.

Dennis A. Schneider
Dennis A. Schneider, 60, died May 7, 2000 in Bismarck. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Church of Corpus Christi, Bismarck, with the Revs. Steve Zastoupil, Marvin Klemmer and Thomas E. Kramer officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans' Cemetery, Mandan. Public visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. today at Boelter Funeral Home, where a vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before services at the church. He was born Sept. 23, 1939 in Bismarck, the son of Thomas W. and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Schneider. He graduated from St. Mary's High School, North Dakota State University, and the University of North Dakota, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1968. He served as an intelligence officer for the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1964. He married Joyce R. Sharer in 1967 in Grand Forks. Dennis served as an assistant Burleigh County State Attorney from 1969 until 1970; he left for a year and opened a private practice in Steele, before returning to the Burleigh County office in 1971. He was named states attorney in 1974, and joined the Bismarck law firm of Morris Tschider in 1975. In 1976, he was appointed to complete former Judge Gerald Glaser's term as a Burleigh County judge, and in 1979, was appointed to fill a newly created South Central District judgeship. In 1981, he married Susan Knudsen in Bismarck. After 19 years of service, he retired in 1998 due to illness. Judge Schneider was a member of the Bismarck Elks, Burleigh County Bar Association, State Bar Association of North Dakota, American Bar Association and the North Dakota Bowhunters Association, as well as a Regular Member of Pope & Young, and various other organizations. He was a patient, loving and gentle man, and will be missed by all. Dennis is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Schneider, Bismarck; his two children, Christopher, Hopkins, Minn., and Margaret (Peg) Schneider, and his son-in-law, Ben Riley, Chicago, Ill., and their mother, Joyce R. Sharer, Little Canada, Minn. He is also survived by Susan Schneider, Bismarck; his stepdaughter, Jodi and her husband, Steve Gordon, Fargo, Dennis was the loving brother of the late Thomas J. Schneider, as well as 11 other siblings, Jerome Schneider, Mary Gross, Leo Schneider, all of Bismarck, Josephine Tokach, Burnsville, Minn., Agnes McIntyre, Eden Prairie, Minn., Veronica Sauter, Bismarck, Monica Schubert, Omaha, Neb., Annette Freund, Mahwah, N.J., Andrew Schneider, Stephen Schneider and Anthony Schneider, all of Bismarck. Esther Stromme
WILLISTON -- Esther Stromme, 83, Williston, died May 6, 2000 in the Williston nursing home. Arrangements are pending with Fulkerson Funeral Home, Williston.

Fred R. Victor
MCKENZIE -- Fred R. Victor, 76, McKenzie, died May 6, 2000 at his home after many years of chronic lung problems. Memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Hildegard Church, Menoken, with the Rev. George Dukart officiating. Burial will be held at North Dakota Veterans' Cemetery, Mandan. Fred was born May 1, 1924 at Fort Clark, the son of Mike and Mary (Fisher) Victor. They moved to Harmon in 1928 and then to McKenzie in 1933. Fred attended grade school and high school in McKenzie. He married Anna Marie Geiger on Aug. 12, 1947. Fred served on the McKenzie School Board for 15 years, and served on the township board for 18 years. Fred is survived by his wife of 52 years, Anna Marie; two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Bob Urlacher, Lincoln, Michele and John Howe, Apple Valley; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Brenda Victor, McKenzie; six grandchildren, Steve Urlacher, Teresa and Scott Nelson, Lee and Patty Howe, Genn Howe, Stephanie Victor and Shane Victor; three great-grandchildren; one brother John Victor, Jamestown; one sister, Elsie and husband Bob Coons, McKenzie; four sisters-in-law, Irene Victor, Hazen, Agnes Geiger, California, Sally erker, Tacoma, Wash., Fran Williams, California; one brother-in-law, Adam and wife Helen Geiger, Hilo, Hawaii; and a special friend, Alice Olson. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; one sister and one sister-in-law. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Alexius Hospice. (Bismarck Funeral Home)

Wendy Lee Westlie
MINOT -- Wendy Lee Westlie, 49, La Mesa, Calif., and formerly of Minot, died April 28, 2000 in Le Mesa of leukemia. A memorial service will be held in Minot at a later date. Wendy was born March 28, 1951 in Fargo. She was the daughter of Gordon H. Westlie and Marilyn Weinhandl Westlie. She was raised in Minot, and in 1968, graduated from Minot High School. She later graduated from Mesa Junior College in San Diego, and was employed as a dental hygienist in San Diego. On July 7, 1978, she married Larry Johnson in Minot. In 1982, they moved to La Mesa where they since have lived. She is survived by her husband, Larry; her daughters, Amy Bridget Westlie and Sheela Mae Westlie, both of La Mesa; a stepson, Taggert Johnson, San Diego; her mother, Marilyn Davis, Bismarck; her brothers, Todd Westlie, Rancho Mirage, Calif., and Mark Westlie, Minot; a niece and nephew, Tara and Michael Westlie, Missoula, Mont.; and a number of Westlie and Keating aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon H. Westlie; and stepfather, John E. Davis. Memorials may be made in her memory to the Amy and Sheela Westlie Scholarship Fund at First Western Bank, P.O. Box 1090, Minot, 58702, attention: Chris Lamoureux. JAMESTOWN -- Agnes Wojick, 90, Jamestown, died May 6, 2000 in a Jamestown care center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at The Basilica of St. James, Jamestown. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fried. She is survived by her son, Bernie, Jamestown, two grandchildren; two brothers, Anton, Jamestown, Leo, Buchanan; four sisters, Magdalene Bartkowski and Ann Stocking, both of Jamestown, Louise Hamkens, Fried, and Dorothy Rance, Sioux Falls, S.D. KILLDEER -- Edith Olson, 87, Killdeer, died May 16, 2000, in the Killdeer nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Killdeer. Further arrangements are pending at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson.

Margaret Ann Rader
Margaret Ann Rader, 63, 215 Schlosser Ave., Mandan, died May 14, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital of cancer. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Cyprian Meier officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan. Visitation will continue after 5 p.m. today at the church, where a parish vigil will begin at 7 tonight. Visitation will also be held Thursday morning at the church. Margaret Schwartz, the daughter of John and Madeline (Kuntz) Schwartz, was born May 17, 1936, in Solen. She was raised and educated in Solen and married Alvin Rader on May 18, 1957, at Sacred Heart Church, Solen. Margaret worked as a cook for the Heartview Foundation in Mandan, Burger King and at the Terrace Retirement Center in Bismarck. Margaret was an outgoing person who loved being around people. She was an excellent cook and looked forward to preparing the food for the family gatherings. She was known for her cheese buttons, chicken and noodles and bread dressing. She spent many hours crocheting and playing cards with her brothers and sisters every Tuesday. She was considered the bingo queen as she found this a great way to relax. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow. Margaret is survived by her husband, Alvin; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Dino Varriano, Mandan; three sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Lori, Bismarck, Randy and Rose, Wilton, and Hal and Lisa, Mandan; eight grandchildren, Cory Rader, Eric, Melissa and Joel Varriano, Alvin Rader, Ashley Weber, Tanya Sullivan and Melissa Mitchell; one great-grandson, Colby James Tosseth; three sisters, Catherine Heintz, Bis-marck, Elizabeth Kuntz and Josephine Leingang, Napa, Calif.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo and Stephenia Schwartz, Mandan, and John and Ann Schwartz, San Pablo, Calif.; and four sisters-in-law, Eva Schwartz, Mandan, Frances Schwartz, Bismarck, and Delores Elsie and Tillie Schwartz, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Mitchel Rader; six brothers, Jake, Paul, Tom, Fred, Adam and Michael Schwartz; one sister, Sally Sautner; and many nieces and nephews.
