She is survived by seven sons, Willard, Fargo, Harlan, Alden and Terry, all of Miles City, Mont., Randy and Kent, both of Garrison, and Neal, Minot; three daughters, Bonnie Lundy, Dunseith, Myrna Gathman and Jean Busch, both of Minot; four sisters, Kathleen Peterson, Sylvia Peterson, Leona Ensrude and Thelma Davenport, all of Garrison; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. WOODWORTH -- Margie Bohl, 67, Woodworth, died July 5, 2000 in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Woodworth, with burial in New Home Seventh-day Adventist Cemetery, rural Sykeston. She is survived by her husband, George; three daughters, Camie Broussard, Woodworth, Tammera Stebner, Ellendale, and Mary Beth Schultz, Shepherd, Mont.; three sons, Timothy, Jeffrey and Calvin, all of Woodworth; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, Marvin Zinke, Jamestown; and two sisters, Violet Bohl and Shirley Fields, Auburn, Calif. WATFORD CITY -- Helen C. Christianson, 83, Watford City, died July 7, 2000 in a Minot hospital. Arrangements are pending with Fulkerson Funeral Home, Watford City.

Cleo M. Ecklund
Cleo M. Ecklund, 82, formerly of Bismarck, passed on to her eternal home on July 3, 2000 in Brooklyn Center, Minn. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at McCabe United Methodist Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Art Scanson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. today and 1-9 p.m. Sunday, both at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Cleo Peterson was born May 25, 1918 in Devils Lake, the daughter of Melvin and Fern (Baker) Peterson. She attended schools in Warwick and Wales, graduating from high school in Finley. She attended Mayville State Teachers College and graduated from Valley City State Teachers College in 1940. She taught in schools in Grenora and Wilton. On April 11, 1943, Cleo married Melvin Ecklund. They lived in the Wilton area until 1950, when they moved to Bismarck. She lived in the Fargo and Moorhead area from 1997 until 1999, when she moved to Brooklyn Center. As an active member of the McCabe United Methodist Church, Cleo served in many capacities in the WSCS and UMW on the local, district and state level. Cleo will be deeply missed by her daughter, Cheryl Hustrulid, Brooklyn Park, Minn. and daughter-in-law, Laurel Ecklund, Fargo; as well as her grandchildren, Brenda (Daniel) Vansteenburg, St. Paul, Minn., and David Hustrulid, Brooklyn Park; a sister, Donna (Don) Nasseth, Billings, Mont.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin; one son, Ted; and sisters, Jean Peterson, Enid and husband, Clifford Nordeen; and son-in-law, Lee Hustrulid. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to McCabe United Methodist Church or the McCabe United Methodist Women. (Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck)

DICKINSON -- Kathryn Mayer Faiman, 83, Salem, Ore., formerly of Dickinson, died July 4, 2000 in Salem. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT today at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Dickinson. She is survived by her husband, Joe Faiman; one son, Ken Mayer, Mobridge, S.D.; three daughters, Arlene Karsky, Jamestown, Janeen Scheeler, Minot, and LaVonne VanDerMeer, Bemidji, Minn.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one stepson, Marvin Faiman, Salem; and two stepdaughters, Donna Shelburn, Aurora, Ore. and Mary Faiman, San Francisco, Calif. Darwin Felch
TUTTLE -- Darwin Felch, 58, Tuttle, died July 6, 2000 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at English Lutheran Church, Tuttle, with the Rev. Allen Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Tuttle Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and 1-9 p.m. Sunday at Eastgate Memorial Chapel, Steele, where a prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Darwin Gene Felch was born June 1, 1942 to Ervin and Fern (Jenner) Felch. He was raised and educated in rural Tuttle, graduating from Tuttle Public High in 1960. Darwin married Sharol Sathre on Aug. 28, 1965. He worked various jobs from 1960 to the spring of 1966. They then moved to West Fargo where Darwin worked as a welder for Dakota Sales Agency. In 1975, Darwin, Sharol and their three children returned to Tuttle. In 1976, he purchased Johnny Batterberry's excavating business and renamed it Felch Excavating, which he owned and operated until his death. He also owned and operated a school bus route for the Tuttle Public School for 17 years. Darwin was very proud of his three children and five grandchildren and was looking forward to the addition of another grandchild later this year. Darwin is survived by his wife, Sharol, Tuttle; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elise and Tad Larson and their children, Kelsey and Kaidra, Hazelton, and Questa and Stacey Demaniow, and their children, Quianna and Brennan, Aurora, Colo.; one son and daughter-in-law, Korbin and Jamie Felch and their child, Landon, Fargo; his father, Ervin, Tuttle; one brother and sister-in-law, Truman and Violet, Tuttle; one sister and brother-in-law, DeLila and Sidney Larson, Tuttle; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Fern; and a niece, Vickie Felch. (Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck)

NEW LEIPZIG -- Emma Sprecher, 92, New Leipzig, died July 5, 2000 in the Mott nursing home. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. MDT Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, New Leipzig. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Victor, Bismarck, and Vernon, New Leipzig; three daughters, Vesta Stelter and Velma Schram, both of Mott, and Vianne Becker, Garden City, Neb.; four sisters, Malinda and Ella, Portland, Ore., Freda Sprecher, New Leipzig, and Sister Minnie, Stockton, Calif.; two brothers, Gust, Elgin, and Ervin; and 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Ella Wahl
Ella Wahl, 82, Bismarck, died July 6, 2000 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bismarck Baptist Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Clyde Zimbelman officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McClusky Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck. Ella Weippert was born Jan. 26, 1918, the daughter of Jacob and Ameila (Brown) Weippert. She grew up in the Chaseley area. On June 12, 1943, she married Elmer Wahl. After farming for 34 years near McClusky, they retired to Bismarck. She is survived by her husband, Elmer; one daughter, Corliss Wahl, Woodbury, Minn.; three brothers, Ted Weippert, Jamestown, Eddie Weippert, Carrington, and Emil Weippert, Bismarck; and two sisters, Eunice Brodehl, Bismarck, and Anna Mae Sponcler, East Wenatchee, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters and one brother. (Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck)

Clarissa Berget
Clarissa Berget, 90, died July 7, 2000 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, rural Turtle Lake, with the Rev. Randy Emgarten officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at Goetz Funeral Home, Turtle Lake. Clarissa Angline Fylling was born Oct. 6, 1909 on a farm near Lidgerwood to Olaf Bernard Fylling and Anna Emelia Eliason Fylling. She was the second child of 11 children. When she was 11 years old, her folks moved and bought a farm near Ruso. She finished public school in Greatstone Township, then went on to high school in Velva. She worked for farm families doing housework and milking cows. A friend and Clarissa decided to go to Minneapolis one day. They were on the road about two days, but there was plenty of work. They got jobs as maids doing housework, later moving back to Ruso. In 1933, Clarissa married Ronald Berget and they bought a 240 acre farm from Ronald's folks, Christ and Mary Berget. Ronald's folks lived with them and Clarissa took care of Christ as he was bedridden. In January of 1956, they rented out their farm and moved to Sacramento, Calif. After staying there for two years, they decided to come back to North Dakota and live on the farm. They were members of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, eight miles north of Turtle Lake. In 1971, they sold their farm and built a new house on the farm, moving it to Turtle Lake later. They went to Mesa, Ariz. a couple of winters. Clarissa was active in St. Olaf Ladies Aid and Senior Citizens. She enjoyed spending time at their cabin at Crooked Lake and always had a soft heart for children. She was known for her cinnamon rolls and homemade bread. Clarissa is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Rueben and Charlene, Sacramento, Charles and Janice, Libby, Mont., Larry and Judy, Bismarck, Russell and Sharon, Aurora, Colo., Ron and Karen, Lindstrom, Minn.; three daugters and sons-in-law, Corrine and Bob Hoffman, Baldwin, Roselyn and Dan Casazza, Eureka, Mont., and Mary Ann and Dick Sheaffer, Madison, S.D.; 27 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; and nine brothers and sisters. Clarissa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; one infant son, Donald; and one sister. The family prefers memorials be given to St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Margaret Greenwood
Margaret Greenwood, 90, Bismarck, died July 7, 2000 at the Baptist Home. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Baptist Home Chapel, with the Rev. Clyde Leimberer officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Margaret Barrett was born on Aug. 12, 1909 in Bismarck, the daughter of Alfred and Mary Ellen (O'Reilly) Barrett. She was raised and educated in Bismarck. She attended St. Alexius Hospital School of Nursing and worked as an RN for St. Alexius Medical Center. She married Harry W. Greenwood on Aug. 3, 1935 in Bismarck. Margaret was a member of Church of St. Mary, Bismarck. She is survived by her husband, Harry Greenwood, Bismarck; three children, Mary Claire Greenwood, Edina, Minn., Jane Loper, Maple Grove, Minn., and James Greenwood, Grand Forks; two granddaughters, Connie Greenwood, Grand Forks, and Lynette Panzott, Austintown, Ohio; one brother-in-law, Karl Engstrom, Jupiter, Fla.; and one niece, Karen Smith, Jupiter, Fla.
