Wolfgang Schilling
ELGIN -- Wolfgang Schilling, 79, Minnetonka, Minn., and formerly of rural Elgin, died June 14, 2000, at his home following a lengthy illness. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at The Church of St. Mary of the Lake, Plymouth, Minn. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope, Minn. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Gearty Delmore Funeral Chapel, Plymouth, Minn., and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Wolfgang was born Oct. 28, 1920 in Bonn, West Germany to parents Wilhelm and Eugenie Bergmeyer Schilling. He served in the German armed forces during World War II. He was POW in the United States and following a year in England returned to Kleve, Germany in 1947. He married Henriette Quartier on May 28, 1951 in Nutterden, Germany. They moved to North Dakota and began farming near Elgin. He later managed the Farmers' Union Grain Elevator in Elgin. They were members of St. John's Catholic Church in New Leipzig. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus council at Mott. Wolfgang was a self-taught artist with natural talent that he enhanced with instruction from the Minneapolis Art Instruction School. He left a legacy of paintings throughout the world including the North Dakota Capitol paintings of Governors Guy, Link and Schafer. Wolfgang and Henriette moved to Minneapolis in 1999. He is survived by his wife, Henriette; his sons, Wilhelm Schilling and wife Karen, Harvey, Fredrick Schilling and wife Debra Hamilton, Brooklyn Center, Minn., and Dieter Schilling and wife Sandra, Eagan, Minn.; his daughters, Marianne Houlihan and husband, Peter, Plymouth, Minn.; Ursula Thompson and husband Greg, Cary, N.C., Irmgard Brown and husband, Jim, Richfield, Minn.; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Ross, Sara, Eric, Greta, Kurt, Annie, Ryan, Ellie, Madeline, Kyle and Heidi; his brothers-in-law, Ernst Quartier and family of Germany, and Paul Quartier and family of France. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugenie and Wilhelm Schilling and brother Roland Schilling. Memorials are preferred to the ALS Society, Minnesota Chapter, 528 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis, MN, 55403.

Randall Lynn Van Beek
Randall Lynn Van Beek, 39, loving husband and father, died June 15, 2000 at his home in Bismarck. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Bismarck Community Church, 1617 E. Michigan Avenue, Bismarck, with the Rev. Maury Milligan officiating. Burial will be in Westfield Cemetery, Westfield. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today and 1-9 p.m. Sunday, both at Eastgate Funeral Service, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday evening. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. Randy was born April 20, 1961 in Bismarck to Clarence and Lorraine (Fish) Van Beek. He grew up and attended school in Strasburg. On May 1987, he married Sherry Klein, daughter of Leonard and Delores (Dauenhauer) Klein, in Bismarck. Randy loved music, cars, woodworking and people, but most of all, he loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Sherry and two sons, Jesse and Cameron, all of Bismarck; his mother, Lorraine and his sister, Rachelle, both of California; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Brad and Jane, California, Gardell and Jani, Arizona, and Rick and Beverly, Hawaii; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence; his infant sister, Debra; and one brother, Mitchell. (Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck)

Mary Ann Worle
Mary Ann Worle, 95, died June 16, 2000 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, with the Rev. Thomas E. Kramer officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Staples, Minn. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, 1-2 p.m. Sunday at Marillac Manor, and 3-9 p.m. Sunday, at Eastgate Funeral Service, and for one hour prior to the service at the church. A rosary will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Marillac Manor. Mary Ann was born Jan. 1, 1905 in Fachov, Slovakia, the daughter of Miklos and Sophia (Holy) Gazdik. She came to the United States while still a small child and was raised in Ino, Wis. She married Emil H. Worle on Dec. 1, 1923 in Brule, Wis. They lived in Wisconsin and Minnesota until 1978 when they moved to Bismarck. Emil died in 1986. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, George and Lorraine, St. Petersburg, Fla., Fred and Marjean, Fort Worth, Texas, and Eugene and Oralia, Tacoma, Wash.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine and Arnold Schulz, Burnsville, Minn. and Joyce and Loren Vettel, Bismarck; 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son, Michael, two sisters and four brothers. The family prefers memorials to God's Child or donor's choice.

Marilyn Bride
Marilyn Bride, 69, died June 20, 2000 in a local hospital. Arrangements are pending with Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck.

Amos Brinkman
WISHEK -- Amos Brinkman Sr., 92, Wishek, died June 20, 2000 in the Wishek nursing home.

John Dengel
DICKINSON -- John Dengel, 84, Dickinson, died June 19, 2000 in a Dickinson nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MDT Thursday, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson. Burial will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson. He is survived by one son, Nicholas, Bismarck, four daughters, Irene McCallum, Glendive, Mont., Marie Jordan, Dickinson, Clara Rebel, Forman, and Paulette Dengel, Minneapolis, 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Carl, Dickinson; and three sisters, Betty Schmerbauch, Dickinson, Theresa Butterfield, Visalia, Calif.; and Helen Ainscough, San Gabriel, Calif. Ida Dickinson
JAMESTOWN -- Ida Dickinson, 93, Jamestown, died June 19, 2000 in a Jamestown nursing home. Arrangements are pending with Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

George Emineth
George Emineth, 76, Bismarck, died June 19, 2000 at his home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Church of Corpus Christi with the Rev. Steve Zastoupil officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from noon-8 p.m. Thursday at Bismarck Funeral Home, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. George was born on Oct. 8, 1923 the son of Sebastian and Rose (Kuntz) Emineth in Blue Grass. He moved with his parents to Brisbane where he grew up and attended country school. He was a boxer in the early 40's in the CCC's. He worked at the J.C. Penney's Garage as a mechanic for many years until the garage was closed. He then worked for Vance Pressler at Century Motors as a mechanic until his retirement. George married Alice Mae Stewart on June 24, 1953 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carson. He loved hunting, fishing and some traveling. He was survived by his wife, Alice; one son, Kevin Emineth, Bismarck; one grandson, Russell Emineth; four brothers and five sisters-in-law, Joe and Violet Emineth, Bismarck, Vincent and Dorothy Emineth, Amenia, Christ and Audrey Emineth, Bemidji, Minn., Edwin and Arlene Emineth, Bismarck, and Lucille Emineth, Mandan; six sisters and four brothers-in-law, Maggie Moser, Larimore, Katie Bertelson, Williston, Florence and Wilbert Verworn, Moorhead, Minn., Eva and Elgar Finck, Elgin, Pauline and Harold Johnson, Minneapolis, and Barbara and Willie Braun, Bismarck; and special friends, Douglas Buck and Jim Zander. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Gary; five brothers and one sister; and three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. (Bismarck Funeral Home)

Jacqueline L. Eszlinger
ASHLEY -- Jacqueline L. Eszlinger, 70, Ashley, died June 14, 2000 in Arlington, Wash. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Ashley City Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Erwin; one daughter, Donna Schmiedt, Arlington, Wash.; three sons, Danny and David Dysinger, both of Sacramento, Calif., and Dominic Eszlinger, Arlington, Wash.; and one sister, Helen Johnson, Irvine, Calif.; eight grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. BEULAH -- Elizabeth Frank, 76, Beulah, died June 20, 2000 at her home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Friday, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Beulah. Further arrangements are pending with Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah.

Marion Knight
REEDER -- Marion Knight, 82, Park City, Mont., formerly of Reeder, died June 17, 2000 in Billings, Mont. Services will be held at Thursday 10 a.m. MDT at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, New England. Burial will be in Rainy Butte, rural New England. She is survived by one son, Gerril Rustan, Dickinson, one daughter, Dorothy Alegria, Park City, Mont.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. (Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson)

Raymond Muhs
LANGDON -- Raymond Muhs, 79, Langdon, died June 18, 2000 in a Fargo hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Langdon, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Langdon. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, William, Langdon, Mary Beth Snyder, Park River, Robert, Jamestown, and Ronald, Langdon; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bertram Julius Olson
Bertram Julius Olson, 91, 1600 Mapleton Ave. No. 323, Bismarck, died June 19, 2000 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at McCabe United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rick Fossum officiating. A private family burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. A Masonic service begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Thursday at Perry Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church. Bertram was born Oct. 2, 1908 at Wheaton, Minn., to August Julius and Fay (Kuhn) Olson. He was raised and educated in Wheaton, graduating from Wheaton High School and Wheaton Commercial College. After graduation, he worked for Hartford Lumber Company, Hartford, S.D., moved to Mitchell, S.D., in 1930 and was store manager for Marshall-Wells Company. On April 1, 1934, he married Grayce White in Sioux Falls, S.D. and they lived in Mobridge, Webster and Redfield, S.D. In 1938, they moved to Bismarck where he became the manager for Anderson Ace Hardware until his retirement in 1973. He was a member of the Masonic Bodies, 33rd Degree Mason, Scottish Rite Bodies, Past Master of the Masonic Blue Lodge No. 5, Past Venerable Master of the Lodge of Perfection, El Zagel Shrine, the last charter member of the El Zagal Plainsmen Shrine Chorus, in which he sang for over 52 years, and served as secretary of the Masonic Bodies from 1974-1982. He also was a member of the Elks and served as Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks, Past District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler of the Elks, past president of the Downtown Merchant Association, served on the McCabe United Methodist Church Board of Trustees, served on the Chamber of Commerce, Burleigh County Social Service Board member from 1982-1994, Bailiff for Burleigh County District Court from 1975-1987 and various other committees for both commercial and social organizations. After retirement, he enjoyed golfing and was a volunteer at Medcenter One. He is survived by his wife, Grayce; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jacque Jo and Verdun Schauer, Sterling, Fay and Michael Alton, Sequim, Wash., Kay and John Parks, Minneapolis; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Kathleen Olson, Port Royal, S.C.; one sister and brother-in-law, Grace and L.H. Ingman, North Highland, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Bertram was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Laurel. The family prefers memorials to H.E.L.P. Center, Bismarck Masonic Lodge, Elks Camp Grassick or McCabe United Methodist Church. (Perry Funeral Home, Mandan)

Burial will be in Killdeer Cemetery. He is survived by two brothers, Joseph, Rosalia, Wash., and John, Killdeer; and two sisters, Philomina Hovden, Killdeer, and Jean Schepper, Killdeer. Travis R. Vande Hoven
CARRINGTON -- Travis R. Vande Hoven, 20, Carrington, died June 19, 2000 in Grace City. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, Carrington, with burial in Carrington Cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Larry and Belinda, Carrington; two brothers, Troy, Jamestown, and Trevor, at home; his grandparents, Christ Vande Hoven, Verna Vande Hoven, and Alice Prosser, and a great-grandmother, Blanche Park, all of Carrington. Bernice Alvena Weber
MCCLUSKY -- Bernice Alvena Weber, 91, Minot, and formerly of McClusky, died June 18, 2000 in a Minot hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. John's Lutheran Church, McClusky. Further arrangements are pending with Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky.

Annamae Whitney
Annamae Whitney, 78, Bismarck, and formerly of Jamestown, died June 20, 2000 in a Bismarck care center. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown. Further arrangements are pending.

Amos Brinkman
WISHEK -- Amos Brinkman Sr., 92, Wishek, died June 20, 2000 in the Wishek nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, with Rev. Donald Hansen officiating, with burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Ben Thurn, Bruce Eissinger, Larry Junker, Peter Eiden, Russell Brinkman, Greg Weber and Gordon Humann. Organist for the service will be LaVerna Kaseman. Soloist is Jonna Hochhalter. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. today at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Amos was born Oct. 27, 1907 in rural McIntosh County near Danzig, the son of Henry and Elizabeth (Corey) Brinkman. Amos Sr. grew up on the family farm northeast of Danzig and received his education in rural McIntosh County Schools. He continued to live on the family farm until his marriage to the Lydia Nill on Oct. 28, 1928. After their marriage the couple farmed two and one-half miles west of Danzig where they lived for 16 years. In 1944, the couple moved into Danzig, where they operated a grocery store and bar while continuing their farming operation. In the fall of 1947, the family moved to Wishek, the family moved to Wishek whem Amos Sr. went into full time livestock buying business. Lydia died June 17, 1978. On Oct. 16, 1980, Amos Sr. married Mary Junker at Ellendale, making their home in Wishek. Amos Sr. enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman, fishing the waters of North Dakota, Minnesota, Alaska and Canada. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, 35-year member of Harvey Eagles Club and the Wishek Wildlife Club. Survivors include his wife, Mary Brinkman, Wishek; two sons, Amos Jr. (Esther) Brinkman, Wishek, and James Brinkman, Fargo; three daughters, Dorothy (Art) Eissinger, Hazen, Marilyn (Robert) Stair, Westport, Wash., and Avalon "Lonnie" (William) Eiden, Minneapolis; three stepdaughters, Lorraine (Chester) Giese, Steele, Marilyn (Raymond) Just, Lodi, Calif., and Sharlene (Alvin) Franz, Gillette, Wyo.; two stepsons, Eugene (Laverne) Junker, Gillette, Wyo., and Larry (Myra) Junker, Medina; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leo and August Brinkman, both of Wishek; and one sister, Faye Bakkila, Fargo. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lydia; one infant son; his parents and three brothers, Henry, Fred and Joseph and three sisters, Inez, Ethel and Josephine.
