Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Friday at Sacred Heart Monastery, rural Richardton, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Richardton. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; six daughters, Paulette Farber, Dickinson, Antoinette Skinner, Santa Ana, Calif., Mary Young, Mount Kisco, N.Y., Grace Meier, Hettinger, Stephanie Mularkey, Rochester, Minn., and Lori Newgard, Mandan; two sons, David, Beaverton, Ore., and Patrick, Richardton; one sister, Regine Pfeifer, Bismarck; one brother, Raymond, Missoula, Mont.; 26 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. SELFRIDGE -- Anna Hoon, 68, Selfridge, died Nov. 21, 2000, in a Gillette, Wyo. hospital. Arrangements are pending at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan.

Harry A. Jesser
Harry A. Jesser, 73, Mandan, died Nov. 20, 2000, in the Mandan care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Charles Axness officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan, with military services by the Mandan Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Posts. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. today at the Buehler-Larson FUneral Home, Mandan, where a prayer service will begin at 7:30 tonight. Visitation will continue one hour before services at the church. There will be no visitation on Thanksgiving Day. Harry Arnold Jesser was born icon on May 17, 1927, at Long Lake, S.D., the son of John and Elizabeth (Jenner) Jesser. Raised and educated there, he graduated from Eureka High School in 1945. He went into the U.S. Army on Feb. 13, 1951, and served during the Korean Conflict in France. A carpenter, he was honorably discharged on Dec. 3, 1956, at Fort Sheridan, Ill. He moved to Mandan where he was a resident until his death. He had many jobs during his lifetime, including baking bread at George's Bakery, the Mandan Foundry, the creamery, Thermaline Windows and L&H Manufacturing, where he was employed for 26 years. Harry never married, saying the girls ran too fast for him to catch. He had many hobbies, including fishing, bowling and dancing. He belonged to Single File Singles Club, and enjoyed playing pinball and pool. He also enjoyed basketball and baseball. Harry loved to eat and had a voracious sweet tooth. His favorite was monster cookies. He particularly enjoyed time spent with his companion Gizmo, his miniature dachshund. Harry could be seen on any sunny day walking Gizmo and if the weather was bad, taking him for a drive. For Harry and Gizmo, it was definitely a mutual admiration society. Although Harry never married, he was surrounded by a large and loving family, including nieces, Pam Hatzenbuhler and her husband, Dennis, Mandan, Sandy Bornhoeft and her husband, Ted, Littleton, Colo., Jackie Mead and her husband, Ronn, and Mary Achtenberg and her husband, Greg, all of Mandna; grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Mike, Jenny, Krissy and Maggie Hatzenbuhler, Peggy and Ben Christensen, Jake, Jon and Zach Achtenberg, and Bill, Michelle, Brian and April Bornhoeft; eight great-grand-nieces and nephews; and his sister, Maggie Penchoff, Jackson, Mich. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ted and Alvin; and one sister, Bertha Nielson.

Kenegunda Miller
Kenegunda Miller, 77, Bismarck, died Nov. 19, 2000, in a Bismarck care center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Church of Corpus Christi, Bismarck, with the Rev. Steve Zastoupil officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. today at St. Vincent Care Center, Bismarck, and will continue from 5-8 tonight at Bismarck Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where a rosary and vigil will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services. Kenegunda was born icon Oct. 9, 1923, the daughter of Andrew and Anna Mary (Vetter) Werner in Linton. She grew up and attended school in rural Emmons County. She married icon Peter G. Miller on Jan. 16, 1945, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. After she raised her children, she worked at the Fleck House Hotel for 19 years until retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters and VFW Auxiliary. She was also a Senior Citizens volunteer. Kenegunda's joys in life were her family and friends, her door was always open to share a meal or to put on a coffee party. Kenegunda enjoyed doing special things for her children and especially for their spouses. Her grandchildren and her great-grandchild brought her many hours of happiness. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Pete; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Emily Miller, Kalispell, Mont., and Peter and Connie Miller Jr., Bismarck; six daughters and four sons-in-law, Ann and Steve Sharp, Bismarck, Maggie and Rodney Schaaf, Bowman, Janet and Richard Schaaf, Mandan, Kene Miller, Cecilia and Ross Tolstedt, and Kathy Miller, all of Bismarck; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Betty Werner, Onalaska, Wash., and August and Phyllis Werner, Kintyre; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Anna Wangler, Bismarck, Caroline Kuntz, Jamestown, Katherine Werner, Bismarck, and Julia and Lester Ibach, Linton; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Mike and Terumi Sharp, Bismarck, Brad and Angelea Miller, Spanaway, Wash., Jessica Miller, Missoula, Mont., Tom Sharp, Bismarck, Ryan and Lisa Miller, Bismarck, Clinton, Marie and Megan Schaaf, Mandan, and Travis and Krista Tolstedt, Bismarck; and one great-grandchild, Randy Sharp, Bismarck. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Angeline; two brothers, Andrew and John; two sisters, Francis and Sister Jeanette Werner; and one grandchild, Meri Ann Sharp. Kenegunda and family would like to express a grateful thank you to those who gave care to her during her illness. A special thanks to the staff at St. A's Kidney Dialysis Unit, St. Vincent Nursing Home, St. A's Home Health Care and Hospice, and the many family members and friends who supported her in her time of need.

WALHALLA -- William Moore, 84, Walhalla, died Nov. 19, 2000, in a Grand Forks nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Walhalla Lutheran Church, with burial in the Hillside Cemetery, Walhalla. He is survived by his wife, Donna; five sons, William, Spokane, Wash., Albert, Washington, Ted, Madison, Ill., Keith, Beulah, and Donald, Northwood; three daughters, Barbara Dumas, Minot, Wendy Osborn, Spokane, Wash., and Candace Vondal, Grand Forks; 32 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Gustina Solberg, Devils Lake, and Maude Gudjonson, Walhalla. Mabel C. Peterson
WASHBURN -- Mabel C. Peterson, 95, Hallock, Minn., formerly of Washburn, died Nov. 18, 2000, in a Hallock nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Birka Lutheran Church, Washburn, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Janice Hanson, Hallock, and Sharyn Calton, Prescott, Wis.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Koenig, Charlotte, N.C. Fred R. Tiddens
Fred R. Tiddens, 72, Bismarck, died Nov. 20, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital after a long and courageous battle with heart disease. Fred has gone fishin. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Bismarck Funeral Home, with the Rev. Darrell Aleson officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan. The family will be receiving friends one hour before services. Fred was born icon on July 27, 1928, the son of Paul and Katherine (Raasch) Tiddens in Dearborn, Mich. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years and best friend, Arlyce; four children, Susan Tiddens and her husband, Greg Krivec, F. Robert Tiddens and his wife, Karen, Gretchen Thomas and her husband, John, and Karen Amell and her husband, Robert; one sister; eight grandchildren; three nieces; one nephew and many friends. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Katherine; and one brother, Art. The family would like to thank Dr. Derek Oldenburger and all the special nurses at St. Alexius Hospital who became his friends through the years and care for him so lovingly.

Dvane Weflen
DICKINSON -- Dvane "Dick" Weflen, 79, Dickinson, died Nov. 21, 2000, in his home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MST Friday at River of Life Assembly Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.

Reinhold Woehl
WISHEK -- Reinhold Woehl, 88, Wishek, died Nov. 21, 2000, in the Wishek hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zion United Methodist Church, Wishek, with the Rev. Marty Toepke-Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Wishek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday at Haut Funeral Home, Wishek, and will continue at the church one hour before services. Reinhold Woehl was born icon Aug. 1, 1912, on the family farm 17 miles southwest of Wishek, the son of Henry Woehl Sr. and Justina (Boschee) Woehl. He received his elementary education in Rosenfield School District and grew to manhood in the vicinity where he helped on the family farm. He and Ida Stern were married icon Nov. 10, 1935, at her parents farm near Zeeland. They made their home on a farm 18 miles southwest of Wishek from 1938 to 1956. They then moved to Tuttle where they farmed. In 1958, they moved to Bismarck. In 1960 they moved to a farm 16 miles southeast of Ashley until 1967. They returned to Bismarck, and in 1971, they moved into Wishek. Following the death of his wife, he has continued to reside in Wishek. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Wishek, and the Senior Citizens. He is survived by his children, Wesley, Bismarck, Donald and Judy, Redfield, S.D., Thomas and Dianna, Wishek, Gladys and Earl Schneider, Ashley, Judie and Gary Benjamin, Thompson; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Otto, Wishek, and Albert, Bismarck; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leah and Johnny Lindenman, Billings, Mont., and Alma and Sebastian Engelhard, Aberdeen, S.D. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Victor; one granddaughter; four brothers; and one sister.

Michael Hintz
Michael Hintz, 78, Carson, died Nov. 20, 2000, in the Elgin hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MST Saturday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Carson, with the Rev. Gary Benz officiating. Burial will be in Carson Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. MST Friday at the church, where a parish vigil be held at 7 p.m. Michael Hintz was born icon Sept. 30, 1922 in Brisbane, N.D., the son of Zachius and Clara (Schwalich) Hintz Sr. He was raised and educated in the Brisbane area. On Nov. 10, 1948 he married icon Anna Kuntz at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church in Raleigh. Michael worked for local farmers and ranchers and for the past 40 years for Jake and John Meyer. Michael is survived by his wife, Anna, Carson; one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Eugene Hummel, Spirit Lake, Idaho; two grandchildren, Melanie Hummel, and Melissa Spencer and her husband Michael, Spirit Lake, and their children Tristen Hummel and Natasha Spencer, Spirit Lake; one brother, Zachius Hintz Jr., Flasher; two sisters, Monica Ruscheinsky, Portland, Ore., and Isabelle Nagel, Bismarck; a special niece, Mary Jane (Jack) Nelson, Aberdeen, S.D. and their children, John, and Helen (Jeff) Torrence, Aberdeen and their children, Katie and Billy, and Cheryl (Josh) Braun, Wakonia, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ralph and Joseph. (Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan)

Beverly M. Holm
KENSAL -- Beverly M. Holm, 67, Kensal, died Nov. 21, 2000 at her home. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown. Burial will be in Kensal Cemetery. She is survived by eight children, Ginger McDaniel, Jamestown, Lansy Holm Jr., Evansville, Ind., Zondra Semblewski, Flager Beach, Fla., William Holm, Spiritwood, Dann Holm, Jamestown, Terre Holm, Fargo, Wesley Holm, Apex, N.C., and Thad Holm, Dillon, Colo.; eight grandchildren; her mother, Alberta Schroeder, New Rockford; two sisters, Alberta March, Tuttle, and Diana Peterson, Trevor, Wis.; and one brother, Esten Schroeder, Yakima, Wash.

Adam M. Schwahn
Adam M. Schwahn, 83, Bismarck, died Nov. 21, 2000, in a local hospital. Services will be held at noon Friday at Church of St. Anne, Bismarck, with the Rev. Edwin Wehner officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery, south of Mandan. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a rosary and vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Adam was born icon Dec. 2, 1916 at Bismarck, the son of Joseph and Barnhardine (Eckert) Schwahn. He grew up and attended schools in Bismarck. He worked from Marcovitz Grocery, the C.C.C.'s and Yegen Dairy. In February 1942, he entered the U.S. Army serving in Europe. He was honorably discharged in December 1945. In 1946 he began working for Bell Telephone, where he worked until his retirement in 1978. He married icon Catherine Morrell on Oct. 23, 1948 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bismarck. Adam was active in the Burleigh County Senior Center, where he was a table caller, worked Bingo, and worked with the newsletter. He was a life member of the VFW, Amvets and Telephone Pioneers. He loved fishing, hunting, watching sports and taking care of his yard. He is survived by his wife, Catherine, Bismarck; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Janet, Houston, Texas; one daughter, Nancy, Bismarck; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Anna Cardwell, Rio Rancho, N.M., Frances Finck, Holland, Mich., George and Elaine Morrell, Sheboygan, Wis., John and Regina Morrell, Mandan, and Matt and Darlene Morrell, Bismarck; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joe and Casper; and three sisters, Betty, Katherine and Magdeline. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Burleigh County Senior Center or Church of St. Anne.
