Rose Riedinger
Rose Riedinger, 97, Bismarck, died April 10, 2001, in a Bismarck care center. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent's Care Center, Bismarck, with the Rev. Al Leary officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan. Visitation and a rosary will be from 4-5 p.m. Monday at St. Vincent Care Center, Bismarck. Visitation will continue from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Rose Riedinger was born icon Oct. 26, 1903, in Rosebud, the daughter of Emanuel and Rosa (Bushelle) Kautzman. She was raised and educated in Rosebud. On Jan. 26, 1924, she married icon Ralph Dauenhauer. They had both resided in the Rosebud area. Ralph died Dec. 3, 1932. On Nov. 26, 1935, Rose married icon Nick Riedinger in Judson. Nick died May 9, 1977. Rose made her home in Mandan, where she lived from 1962-1995. She had been a resident of St. Vincent's Care Center for three years. She was a member of Christ the King Parish. Amongst her interests, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, baking and was an excellent cook. This special woman will be dearly missed by family and friends and all who knew her. She is survived by one son, Raymond Riedinger, Bismarck; two daughters and one son-in-law, Agnes and Hank Siems, and Amelia Clooten, all of Bismarck; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ralph; her second husband, Nick; and 12 brothers and sisters.

James Roeder
James Roeder, 54, Bismarck, died April 12, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending at Boelter Funeral Home.

Eva Schopp
BEULAH -- Eva Schopp, 91, Beulah, died April 12, 2001, in the Beulah care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah. Further arrangements are pending at Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah.

Edna Summers
CARRINGTON -- Edna Summers, 88, Carrington, died April 10, 2001, in the Carrington care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington, with burial in Carrington Cemetery. She is survived by one son, Eugene, Pettibone; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dave Anderson and Cordes Anderson, both of Spokane, Wash.; and four sisters, Mildred Hertal, Pingree, Inez Fandrich, Carrington, Dolores Summers, Devils Lake, and Helen Scheck, Torrence, Calif.

Leona Trotter
DICKINSON -- Leona Trotter, 92, Dickinson, died April 10, 2001, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MDT today at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Dickinson. Burial will be in Dunn Center Cemetery, Dunn Center. She is survived by five children, Jack Harrington, Covington, Wash., Phyllis Jorgenson, Bismarck, Bobbie Kadrmas, Dickinson, Judy Foley, Simi Valley, Calif., and Gail Massey, Dickinson; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Zudora Carns, Mesa, Ariz. Rob Arneson
Rob H. Arneson, 37, 1200 19th St. S.E., Mandan, died April 3, 2001, in his home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Cyprian Meier officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a parish vigil will begin at 7 tonight. Visitation will continue one hour before services at the church.

Rob was born icon Feb. 11, 1964, in LaCrosse, Wis., the son of Richard and Carrol (Hunder) Arneson. He was raised and educated in De Soto, Wis., where he graduated from high school. He graduated from Western Wisconsin Technical College as an electroencephalographic technologist. In 1984, he began his career at Medcenter One Health Systems and later became the director of the department of neuro-diagnostics. On Dec. 26, 1987, he married icon his soul mate, Deb Haider, at Christ the King Church in Mandan.

He is survived by his wife, Deb; two sons, James Michael and Sam Ethan; one daughter, Madeline Jo, all of Mandan; his parents, Richard Arneson, De Soto, Wis., and Carrol Hunder, Genoa, Wis.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leonard and Lenora Haider, Mandan; his grandparents, Alvin and Phyllis Walters, LaCrosse; his step-grandfather, Merlin Schroeder, De Soto; one brother, Mark, and his children, Mathew, Rachel and Leah, all of Genoa; three sisters and brothers-in-law and their children, Tarilyn and Michael Boardman, Seyth, Nickolas, Kasey, Coty, Ashley, Bailey, Anna and Idji, De Soto, Ina-Jo and Steve Brosinski, Emma, Isaac, Sadie, Grace and Ava, Genoa, and Leda Anne and Michael Schwertfeger, Delaney, Maclaine and Gunnar, LaCrosse; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their children, Steve and Shirley Haider, Allison and Lee, Mandan, Gary and Sandy Haider, Jamie and Eryn, Maplewood, Minn.; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy and Mike Murphy, Jenna and Kasey, Carrington; and many aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Inga Hunder, Wilbur Arneson and Irene Schroeder; and one niece, Haley Boardman.

He enjoyed reading, music, dancing and loved to attend his children's sporting events. Anyone who knew Rob would agree he was a genuine, loving caring, and gentle human being. He was gifted with a sense of humor mixed with the most contagious laugh. Family was always first to Rob -- his life was Deb and his kids. Rob will remain in our hearts forever.

Steven Boehm
MCCLUSKY -- Steven Boehm, 94, McClusky, died April 4, 2001, in the Turtle Lake hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, McClusky, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at 2-8 p.m. today at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky. A rosary will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Steven was born icon on Dec. 8, 1906, in Dellar, Russia. He was the son of Peter and Katherina (Schell) Boehm. In 1907 the family emigrated from Russia to Kansas City, Kan. In 1911 they moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. In 1916 the family moved to a farm northwest of McClusky. He grew up and attended rural school there. He attended the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis where he studied tractor and automotive repair. He returned to the farm northwest of McClusky and worked as a serviceman for A. W. Wentz International dealership during the winter months for 22 years. He married icon Frieda Boschee on May 27, 1927, in McClusky. He retired in 1976. During his retirement Steven enjoyed woodworking making various items for his children and grandchildren.

Frieda died on April 23, 1996.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, McClusky.

He is survived by four sons, Richard and Arlan, Bismarck, Patrick, Mandan, Dennis, Antioch, Ill.; eight daughters, Frances Mayer, Anamoose, Margaret Fridrich, Antioch, Barbara Heinle, Bismarck, Katherine Wiest, Reno, Nev., Caroline Kupizeweski, Berwyn, Ill., Jacqueline Kulackoski, Lincoln, Loretta Boehm, Bismarck, Bernadette Rooker, Coon Rapids, Minn.; 30 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Helm, McClusky.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frieda; four brothers, Pete, Valentine, Mike and Edward; one sister, Barbara Jesz; and three grandchildren.

Obert Clauson
WILLISTON -- Obert Clauson, 88, Williston, died April 3, 2001, in the Williston hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Everson Memorial Chapel, Williston, with burial in Riverview Cemetery, Williston.

He is survived by four daughters, Myrna Elletson, Williston, Deanna Asmus, Denver, Nancy Carlson, Boise, Idaho, and Debbie Neff, Couer d'Alene, Idaho; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gladys Vasso, Sparks, Nev., and Myrtle Moe, Minot. (Everson Funeral Home, Williston)

Emilia Delzer
WISHEK -- Emilia Delzer, 89, Wishek, died April 5, 2001, in the Wishek nursing home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Ashley Baptist Church. Further arrangements are pending at Carlsen Funeral Home, Ashley.

Patricia Dodgen
MINOT -- Patricia Dodgen, 52, Minot, died of cancer April 4, 2001, in a Minot hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Minot, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; two daughters, Danielle Prescott, Berthold, and Dawn Dodgen, Minot; six grandchildren; one brother, James Ehlers, Des Lacs; and two sisters, Darlene Lovo, Des Lacs, and Shelly Daniels, MInot. (Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot)

CARRINGTON -- Alvin Heiden, 71, Lisbon, died April 5, 2001, in a Lisbon care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

MINNEWAUKAN -- Lillian Helgeson, 95, Kenmare, died April 4, 2001, in Kenmare. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Minnewaukan. Further arrangements are pending at Nelson Funeral Home, Maddock.

Robert Keller
HARVEY -- Robert Keller, 69, Harvey, died April 5, 2001, in the Harvey hospital. Arrangements are pending at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Kathleen Klette
Kathleen Klette, 60, Cut Bank, Mont., formerly of Mandan, died of cancer, April 3, 2001, in her home. Services were held at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Cut Bank.

She is survived by her mother, Gertie Kuhn, Mandan; six daughters, Barbara Hammond, Sidney, Mont., Laurie Holcomb, Great Falls, Mont., Donna Vaughn, Conrad, Mont., Stacy Johnson, Cut Bank, Anne Rummel, Cut Bank, and Karen Rummel, San Francisco; three sons, Chris Lighthizer, Billings, Mont., John Lighthizer, Cut Bank, and Gar Rummel, Irving, Texas; and one sister, Joyce Potter, Mandan.

Gladys Warnke
ALEXANDER -- Gladys Warnke, 77, Williston, died April 4, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Alexander, with burial in Alexander Cemetery.

She is survived by three daughters, Susan Olson and Annette Oved, both of Williston, and Cheryl Unger, Mandan; one son, Wayne, Mandan; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Lindsley, Williston, and Elenor Teigen, Helena, Mont.; and one brother, Morris Aasen, Williston. Laura Winkler
ZAP -- Laura Winkler, 78, Zap, died April 4, 2001, in the Beulah care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MDT Saturday at Congregational Church, Beulah, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Henry; one son, Lyle, Beulah; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; and one sister, Alma Winkler, Zap. (Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah)

Lloyd Albers
Lloyd Albers, 71, Bismarck, died Feb. 3, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bismarck Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Jenks officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Hannover. Lloyd was born icon Jan. 30, 1930, the son of John C. and Rebecca (Rabe) Albers in New Salem, N.D. He grew up and attended school in Hannover. He married icon Fay Helmenstein on Oct. 16, 1949 in Hannover. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Lloyd worked at Butler Machinery in Bismarck from 1967 until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed woodworking, rock polishing and playing cards. He is survived by his wife, Fay; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Marcella, Hannover, and Damon and Pam, Bismarck; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Chuck Garris, Bismarck, Dorcus and Frank Roehrich, Denver, and Denise "Dee" and Tim Turnbull, Bismarck; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Metzger, Turtle Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Dorice; and one sister, Janice Moos.

Benjamin David Archer
Benjamin David Archer, 4, Starbuck, Minn., died Feb. 3, 2001, in a Morris, Minn., hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Evangelical Free Church, Morris, Minn., with the Rev. Mike Sager officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church. Benjamin was born icon Oct. 23, 1996, in Bismarck, the son of David and Dawn (Konietzko) Archer. In November 1999, he moved with his family to Starbuck, where he had continued to live since that time. Benjamin loved to go for walks outdoors, especially at the Dakota Zoo in Bismarck. He also enjoyed listening to classical music and he loved to hear birds singing. Benjamin also loved to be in the water, whether it was for therapy or just to take a bath. He is survived by his parents; one sister, Emily; one brother, Matthew; his grandparents, Barbara Archer and Tom Tully, Butte, Mont., Walter and ArLynn Archer, Olive, Mont., and Deb Manselle, Burnsville, Minn.; his great-grandparents, Elna and Warren Linville, Broadus, Mont., Vera Archer, Olive, Mont., Harold Manselle, Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Hardie Sickles, Carlsbad, N.M.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by one great-grandfather, Robert Archer; and one great-grandmother, Betty Manselle. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Dakota Zoo, Bismarck, or to the William's Syndrome Association. (Pedersen Funeral Home, Morris, Minn.)

Cheryl Burton Betz
Cheryl Burton Betz, 40, Mandan, died Jan. 31, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Panama City, Fla. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Evangel Temple, Bismarck. She is survived by her parents, Kenneth Jr. and Sylvia Burton, Parker, Fla.; her husband, Charles, Mandan; two children, Chase and Cole, both of Mandan; one sister, Robin Burton-Lees, Boerne, Texas; two brothers, the Rev. Kenneth Burton III, Little Rock, Ark., and Eric Burton, Panama City Beach, Fla.; and her grandparents, Sylvia Beuttenmueller, New Jersey, and Kenneth Burton Sr., New Castle, Ind.
