Herbert F. Buchholtz
WEST FARGO -- Herbert F. Buchholtz, 89, West Fargo, died Feb. 4, 2001, in a Fargo hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Canaan Moravian Church, rural Davenport. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Carole Meyers, Galesburg; three sons, Herbert J. Jr., Davenport, Bruce, Bismarck, and Brian, East Grand Forks, Minn.; one sister, Adeline Hans, Fargo; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. (West Funeral Homes, West Fargo)

HARVEY -- Elsie Fetzer, 83, Harvey, died Feb. 5, 2001, in the Harvey hospital. Arrangements are pending with Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

WILLISTON -- Lester Johnson, 74, Williston, died Feb. 3, 2001, in a Williston nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Williston. Further arrangements are pending with Everson Funeral Home, Williston.

Jerome Keller
NEW ROCKFORD -- Jerome Keller, 86, New Rockford, formerly of Esmond, died Feb. 5, 2001, in the New Rockford nursing home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Esmond. Further arrangements are pending with Nelson Funeral Home, Esmond.

Kenneth A. Krueger
PICK CITY -- Kenneth A. Krueger, 70, Pick City, died Feb. 4, 2001. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Riverdale Community Center. Further arrangements are pending with Seibel Funeral Homes, Hazen and Beulah.

Eugene Kunz
JAMESTOWN -- Eugene Kunz, 76, Jamestown, died Feb. 4, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown. Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown. He is survived by his wife, Erma, Jamestown; three sons, Merle, Bismarck, Brian, Jamestown, and Arlan, Fargo; one daughter, Carol Kinnischtzke, Tappen; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Kokott, Jamestown, and Donna Moser, Broomfield, Colo.; and two brothers, Leonard, Aurora, Colo., and William Jr., Middlesboro, Ky. Louise E. Malo
Louise E. Malo, 80, Bismarck, died Feb. 4, 2001, at her home. A memorial mass will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Church of St. Mary's, Bismarck. Further arrangements are pending with Bismarck Funeral Home.

Margaret Mehlhoff
GARRISON -- Margaret Kempf Mehlhoff, 94, Garrison, died Feb. 3, 2001, in the Garrison hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Garrison. Burial will be in Garrison City Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Estella Mehlhoff and Betty Flath, both of Garrison; two sons, Mylo, Bismarck, and Vernon, Minot; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Lyle E. Miller
BOWMAN -- Lyle E. Miller, 86, Bowman, died Feb. 3, 2001, in the Bowman hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Wednesday at Bowman Lutheran Church. Burial will be be in Bowman Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte, Bowman; one son, Jim, Bowman; two daughters, Lola Oja and Bonnie Bowers, both of Buffalo, S.D.; one sister, Elaine Hanson, Rhame; one brother, Vernon, Rhame; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Alvin Nelson
HILLSBORO -- Alvin Nelson, 78, Hillsboro, died Feb. 3, 2001, in a Fargo nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Hillsboro. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Hillsboro. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia; three daughters, Margaret Ployhart, Argusville, Mary Morman, Glen Ullin, and Pat Nelson, Washburn; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Nennor, Hillsboro. Beverly Orgaard
CENTER -- Beverly Orgaard, 55, Center, died Feb. 4, 2001, at her home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Cyprian Meier officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a parish vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Beverly was born icon Feb. 24, 1945 in Killdeer, the daughter of Mike and Mildred (Jelik) Burian. She was raised and educated in Belfield, graduating from Belfield High School. She attended Dickinson State College in Dickinson for one year. On Jan. 18, 1964, she married icon Martin J. Orgaard at St. Bernard's Church, Belfield. Beverly worked as a secretary at Bismarck Tire Center for 10 years and did sales and secretarial work for D'Joyce Photography for 17 years. Beverly was a friendly, caring, loving and outgoing person. Her personality drew people to her laughter. She enjoyed dancing, water and snow skiing, working the soil and horseback riding. Camping and holiday get-togethers were always favorites of Beverly's because it was time spent with her loving family, especially her grandchildren, who were the love of her life. She is survived by her husband, Martin, Center; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse and Josie, Bismarck, and Cam and Jennifer, Seattle; two grandchildren, Kristy and Tyler Orgaard, Bismarck; her mother, Mildred Jilek Burian, Dickinson; one brother, Michael Burian, Belfield; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Michaelette Olson, Baldwin, and Sandy and Bob Kuch, Hannover; five nephews; and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Mike; and one nephew, Layton Olson.

Donald C. Peters
LEMMON, S.D. -- Donald C. Peters, 81, Lemmon, died Feb. 2, 2001, at his farm. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MST Wednesday at Prince of Peace Chapel, Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Lemmon. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. He is survived by four brothers, Robert, Lemmon, Herbert, Seattle, Julius, Watauga, S.D., and Lewis, Semi Valley, Calif.; and one sister, Evelyn Gupman, Los Angeles.

Luverne H. Radke
WIMBLEDON -- Luverne H. Radke, 88, Wimbledon, died Feb. 5, 2001, in the Jamestown hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wimbledon. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon. He is survived by his wife, Louverne, Wimbledon; one son, Keith, Fargo; one brother, Leo, Lake Oswego, Ore.; and two sisters, Lila Tait, Valley City, and Alma Kuder, Rogers. JAMESTOWN -- Esther Rittmiller, 91, Jamestown, died Feb. 5, 2001, in a Jamestown nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Central Dakota Village Chapel, Jamestown. Further arrangements are pending with Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Elizabeth Streifel
ESMOND -- Elizabeth Streifel, 97, Esmond, died Feb. 3, 2001, in a Minot nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Esmond. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Delores Mitzel, Esmond; five sons, Leonard, Littleton, Colo., Henry, Esmond, Elmer, Jamestown, James, Athens, Texas, and Reuben, Spokane, Wash.; 25 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Philip Wolf
GLEN ULLIN -- Philip Wolf, 82, Glen Ullin, died Feb. 4, 2001, in a Bismarck nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin, with the Rev. Sebastian Schmidt OSB officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan, with military rites provided by Higbee Post No. 239 of the American Legion. Visitation begins at 3 p.m. today at the church, where a prayer service and rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will be ongoing until time of services. Philip Wolf was born icon Jan. 15, 1919 in the St. Placidus area near Mott, the son of Rogus and Cecelia (Klein) Wolf. He was raised and educated in the St. Placidus area. He entered the U.S. Army on Dec. 31, 1940 and served as a medic in the Aleutian Islands. Following his discharge on Oct. 11, 1944 he returned to the area. He married icon Mary Hellman on June 19, 1945 at St. Joseph Church in rural Glen Ullin. Following marriage they farmed near Mott. In 1954 they moved to a farm south of Glen Ullin where they farmed until 1979 when they moved into town. Philip also worked with Joe Hellman in construction for many years. After he retired in the early 1980s, he enjoyed visiting with his children and loved spending time with the grandchildren. Feeding and watching birds was a hobby he enjoyed. He also spent many hours with his flowers and creating wonderful works of art for his family and friends to have and admire forevermore. He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans, Glen Ullin American Legion and St. Joseph Men's Society. He is survived by his wife, Mary; five daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Larry Kueffler, Lemmon, S.D., Carol and Steven Rosin, Woodbridge, Calif., Janet and Richard Ellwood, Albany, Ore., Joyce and David Holkup, Wahpeton; and Marie and Russell Jaeger, Washburn; one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Roselyn, Bismarck; 17 grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Miller, Great Falls, Mont.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Eugene; three brothers; and four sisters. (Spangelo Funeral Home, Glen Ullin)
