Erna Traxel
HAZEN -- Erna L. Traxel, 83, Hazen, died May 13, 2001, in a Beulah care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Thursday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hazen. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She is survived by one son, LeRoy, Bismarck; one daughter, Laverna Schied, Hazen; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. (Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen)

Alma Walter
HEBRON -- Alma Walter, Hebron, died May 11, 2001, at her daughter's home in Council Bluff, Iowa. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Thursday at First Baptist Church, Hebron. Further arrangements are pending with Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron.

Raymond Wetzel
Raymond Wetzel, 69, Aberdeen, Wash., died April 25, 2001, at his home. Services were held April 30. He is survived by three daughters, Johanna Peters, Pasco, Wash., Cindy Floyd, League City, Texas, and Sue Wetzel, Salt Lake City, Utah; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Edwin, Yakima, Wash., Leo, Las Vegas, Nev., and Samuel, Sheridan, Ore.; and five sisters, Sophia Preszler, Bismarck, Elizabeth Peters, Hoquiam, Wash., Katherine Pearson, Montesano, Wash., Ruth Hunter, Sitka, Ala., and Martha Schneider, Yakima, Wash.

Elmer Wilson
RYDER -- Elmer Wilson, 87, Ryder, died May 13, 2001, in a Benedict foster care home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Presbyterian Church, Ryder. Further arrangements are pending with Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison.

Edwin Aipperspach
CARRINGTON -- Edwin Aipperspach, 71, Carrington, died May 15, 2001, near Harvey as a result of an auto accident. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, Carrington. Further arrangements are pending with Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

HARVEY -- Daniel Deck, 70, Harvey, died May 15, 2001, in a Harvey medical center. Services will be held at 10:30 Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Selz. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He is survived by one son, William, Harvey; two daughters, Cynthia Deck, Fargo, and Rose Deck, Alexandria, Va.; one stepson, David Miller, Robbinsville, Ala.; four grandchildren; three brothers, John, Harvey, Raymond, Bothell, Wash., and Andy, Minot; and four sisters, Agnes Schmitz, Heimdal, Margaret Hager, Harvey, Donna Bruce, Dent, Minn., and Caroline Levi, Minot. Garland Ennen
Garland Ennen, 78, Rapid City, S.D., died May 15, 2001, at his home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. MDT Saturday at Kirk Funeral Home, Rapid City. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Rapid City. He is survived by his wife, Louise; two sons, Duane and Darrell, both of Rapid City; four daughters, Darlene Davignon, Rapid City, Colleen Schmitz, Nemo, S.D., Connie Voss, Lewistown, Mont., and Linda Holvig, Phoenix, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Hannah Baeth, Marion.

Nevaeh Gant
DICKINSON -- Nevaeh LaDeanne Gant, infant daughter of Anterious and Brook Gant, Dickinson, died May 14, 2001, in Rochester, Minn. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending with Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.

Marie Ghylin
Marie "May" J. Ghylin, 94, Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck, died May 15, 2001, in the care center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Wing, with the Rev. Muriel Lippert-Schauer officiating. Burial will be in Wing Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Boelter Funeral Home, Bismarck, where a prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday. Visitation will continue at the church for one hour prior to services. Jennie Marie Constance Olson was born April 1, 1907, in Canfield Township in Regan, the daughter of Ole and Marit (Kolseth) Olson. She was raised and educated in Canfield Township. On Jan. 17, 1924, May married Alvin Ghylin in Bismarck. They farmed in the Regan area until their retirement in 1963. For several years during that time, she also helped out in her brother Jim's grocery store in Wing. May enjoyed crocheting, gardening and sewing for herself and her grandchildren. She belonged to the Canfield Ladies Aid, Regan Homemakers and American Legion Auxiliary. For a period of time, she was active in a Bible study group and also taught Sunday School at Wing. She is survived by one son and two daughters-in-law, Curtis and Betty Ghylin, Sauk Rapids, Minn., and Hazel Ghylin, Bismarck; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; two sons, Gerald and Clair Ghylin; her parents; four sisters, Bertha Olson, Hannah Jacobson, Violet Bailey and Sophie Hetherington; and six brothers, Oscar, Ole, Jim, Fred, Gus and William Olson; and three grandsons, Craig, Allison and Giles Ghylin. The family prefers memorials to Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center.

NEW ENGLAND -- Clifford Jeske, 83, New England, died May 16, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending with Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.

WATFORD CITY -- Sandy L. Kostelecky, 44, Watford City, died May 14, 2001, in a Rochester, Minn., hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Friday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending with Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson.

Ellsworth LaDuke
FARGO -- Ellsworth B. LaDuke, 84, Fargo, died May 15, 2001, in a Fargo care center. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Moorhead, Minn. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo. He is survived by two sons, Kim, Moorhead, and Kenneth, Burnsville, Minn.; two daughters, Kathleen Nesvold, Moorhead, and Wynona Haakenson, Bismarck; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert, Glendive, Mont.; and three sisters, Arlene Roberts and Alice Holzer, both of Gillette, Wyo., and DeLoris Seiler, Raleigh. Elroy LeBeau, 24, Little Eagle, S.D., died May 13, 2001, in Bismarck. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Little Eagle. Further arrangements are pending with Kesling-Larson Funeral Home, Mobridge, S.D.

Lois M. Little Bird, 41, Bismarck, died May 13, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cannon Ball Youth Activity Center, Cannon Ball. Burial will be in Big Lake Cemetery, Cannon Ball. She is survived by three daughters, Lisa Little Bird, Valene Little Bird and Jaimee Stretches, all of Fort Yates; two sons, Shaun and Maurice Standing Bear, both of Cannon Ball; five grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Little Bird and Rita Joshua, both of Bismarck, and Janice Montclair, Fort Yates; and seven brothers, Gary Little Bird Sr., Selfridge, Carl Little Bird, Bismarck, Vernon Little Bird, Ignacio, Colo., and Perry Little Bird Sr., George Fool Bear Sr., Royce Fool Bear and Everett Fool Bear, all of Cannon Ball.
