John Beheler
John Michael Beheler, the infant son of William and Victoria Beheler, Fort Yates, was born and died June 5, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Fort Yates, with the Rev. Terry Wipf officiating. He is survived by his parents, William and Victoria Beheler; one sister, Stevi Lynn Beheler; one brother, Hank Beheler; his grandparents, Laura and Paul Belgarde, Belcourt, and Lloyd and Marie Beheler, Chamberlain, S.D. (Perry Funeral Home, Mandan)

Dora Cordes
CENTER -- Dora Cordes, 88, formerly of Center, died June 5, 2001, in a Nederland, Texas hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Center. Further arrangements are pending at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.

Jerome Docktor
JAMESTOWN -- Jerome H. Docktor, 81, Jamestown, died June 5, 2001, in a Fargo hospital. Arrangements are pending at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Albert Duffey
Albert E. Duffey, 64, Mandan, died June 5, 2001, in the Mandan care center. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Patrick Schumacher officiating. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Monday in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan, with military rites by Mandan VFW and American Legion posts. A vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 a.m. today and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, also at the funeral home. Albert was born Nov. 18, 1936, at Shields, to Daniel and Theckla (Berry) Duffey. He was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Mandan. He graduated from Mandan High School in 1955, and attended the University of Mary. On July 4, 1958, he married Marilyn O'Leary in Bismarck. Albert was a salesman for several insurance companies and later sold building materials. He enjoyed hunting and sports. He played baseball, football and basketball in high school, and enjoyed watching his sons play baseball, football and hockey in high school and college. He loved socializing, playing cards, camping and fishing. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Allen Thompson, Mandan, Susan and Kent Lang, Arvado, Colo.; three sons, John, Bismarck, Michael, San Diego, Calif., and Benjamin, Astoria, N.Y.; one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Bob Geiss, Mandan; six grandchildren, Ryan Duffey, Ben Thompson, Brittany Duffey, Patrick Roberts, Michael Lang and Connor Lang; one niece, Dawn Bland; and one nephew, Allen Geiss; and many special friends. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother, Daniel.

Donna Hanson
WILLISTON -- Donna Hanson, 63, Williston, died June 6, 2001, in the Williston hospital. Arrangements are pending at Everson Funeral Home, Williston.

Erwin Haseltine
Erwin E. "Erv" Haseltine, 86, Fargo, and formerly of Mandan, died June 4, 2001, in a Fargo care center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Stephen Eastin officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan, with military rites by Mandan American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, and will continue at the church one hour before services. Erwin was born Sept. 29, 1914, at Mazomanie, Wis., the second of two children born to Harrison and Bessie Glee (Batty) Haseltine. He attended country schools near the family farm in Thunderhawk, S.D., and graduated from Lemmon High School in 1931. He graduated from what is now Wahpeton State School of Science in 1933; returned to the family farm, and in 1935, moved to Mandan where he worked for Young's Print Shop and the Mandan Pioneer. He married Helen Kolberg in Wibaux, Mont., on Sept. 2, 1940. He was inducted into the U.S. Navy in May of 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn., and was discharged in November of 1945, in Bremerton, Wash. After the war, Erwin returned to Mandan where he was employed at various print shops and eventually became a foreman in the binding department at the Bismarck Tribune. He retired in 1979 as an estimator. He was a member of Mandan Eagles, American Legion and Mandan Elks Club, where he went through the chairs in the 1940s and 1950s. Erwin loved to read, particularly westerns and history. He especially enjoyed the works of Louis L'Amour and histories of North Dakota and its early inhabitants and pioneers. Erv loved to bowl in numerous area leagues and in his younger years enjoyed golfing. His only grandchild was born when he was 76. She brought boundless joy to his life and they enjoyed teasing each other. He is survived by his sons, Robert, and his wife, Beth, Fargo, and Stacy, Bismarck; and his beloved granddaughter, Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen, who died on Nov. 12, 2000; his daughter, Patricia Haseltine; and his older sister, Cathryn Umback.

Charles Kadrmas
DICKINSON -- Charles A. Kadrmas, 95, Dickinson, died June 6, 2001, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Saturday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.

Leo Kopp
Leo S. Kopp, 87, rural Mandan, died June 5, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the rural Methodist Church, southwest of Mandan. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Friday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, where a prayer service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services. Leo was born Jan. 1, 1914, at rural Judson, the son of Stanley and Caroline (Barth) Kopp. He grew up on the family farm and married Edna Williams on Aug. 22, 1938, in Billings, Mont. They farmed 22 miles southwest of Mandan, where Leo still lived at the time of his death. He is survived by his sons, Dorlen and Donald, both of Mandan, Charles, Forsyth, Mont., Larry, Stanton, and Kenneth, Minneapolis; two daughters, Ileene Nodland, Dunn Center, and Sharon Flinn, Sicklerville, N.J.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Barbara Ereth, Mandan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edna, who died May 8, 1980; four sisters; and two brothers.

Dorthea Larson
MOTT -- Dorthea L. Larson, 91, Mott, died June 3, 2001, in the Mott nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Saturday at Evangelical Free Church, Mott, with burial in Sunnyslope Cemetery, Mott. She is survived by four sons, Myron, Vernon and James, all of Mott, and Roger, Grand Forks; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. (Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Mott)

Gust Moser, 93, Bismarck, died June 6, 2001, in a Mandan care center. Arrangements are pending at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Ralph Nelson
WILLISTON -- Ralph L. Nelson, 91, Williston, died June 4, 2001, in the Williston hospital. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Williston. He is survived by his wife, Olga; two daughters, Mary Ann Richardson, Kemp, Texas, and Laurie Flexhaug, Williston; three sons, Jerry, Denver, Michael, Dubuque, Iowa, and David, Williston; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Julia Dordal and Mabel Kingstad, both of Williston, Luella Bowman, Bismarck, and Gloria Nelson, Ashville, N.C. (Everson Funeral Home, Williston)

Wyatt Pulkrabek
Wyatt Lee Pulkrabek, the three-month-old son of Monte and Jody (Zahn) Pulkrabek, Mandan, died June 5, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Charles Axness officiating. Burial will be in Heart River Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, where a prayer service will be held at 7 tonight. Wyatt was born Feb. 18, 2001, in Bismarck, the son of Monte and Jody (Zahn) Pulkrabek. He is survived by his parents; his grandparents, Dan and Becie Zahn, Hettinger, and Wes and Marianne Pulkrabek, Mandan; his great-grandparents, Larry Martin, Huff, Audrey and Howard Dewes, Jamestown, and Marietta Volk and Donald Pulkrabek, both of Mandan; his great-great-grandmother, Carrie Thorson, Montana; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Virginia Martin, Arlene Pulkrabek and Joe Volk.

Gertrude Pulver
LINTON -- Gertrude "Gert" Pulver, Linton, died June 5, 2001, in the Linton hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be held at 2 p.m. CDT Friday at Peace Lutheran Church, Linton, with the Rev. Frederick Henkelmann officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Saturday at Beulah Cemetery, with the Rev. Kris Nyman officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Friday at Myers Funeral Home, Linton. Gertrude was born June 15, 1929, at Beulah, the daughter of Jacob and Kathryn (Schultz) Strecker. She attended grade school and high school at Beulah. On Dec. 6, 1947, she married Leonard Pulver at Hazen. They spent a short time in Michigan and returned to Beulah in 1949. They moved to Linton in 1975, where her husband was employed as the district manager for MDU. Gert was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and Linton Country Club. She was an avid golfer and fisherwoman. Gert enjoyed gardening and walking. She loved family, especially children, friends and reading. Grateful to have shared her life are her husband, Leonard "Bud;" five daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnne and Ernest Skalsky, Sandi and Maynard Blohm, all of Beulah, Patti and Mike Schatz, New England, Susan and John K. Horner, Linton, and Kristi and Darryl Cross, Plano, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Erwin and Marge Strecker, Heber Springs, Ark., George and Betty Strecker, Frederick, Colo.; one sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Dean Myers, Maple Valley, Wash.; and her special walking and golfing friend, Evelyn Petrick, Linton. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; and one brother.

David Sack
David Sack, 59, Bismarck, died June 2, 2001, in a Bismarck care center. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bismarck Funeral Home, with the Rev. Patrick Schumacher officiating. David was born Aug. 18, 1941, at Hettinger, to Nora and Joe Sack. He attended school in Reeder where he graduated from high school in 1959. He attended North Dakota State University and obtained a degree in business administration. After college David served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1970. Attaining the rank of captain during his military service, he was stationed in Korea, Germany and Vietnam. He was awarded the bronze medal during his Vietnamese tour. After the Army he worked in hospital administration in Baker, Glendive and Butte, Montana, and in Williston. He was currently employed with the North Dakota Department of Human Services from 1986 until his death. After being diagnosed with metastatic cancer in April 2000, David "fought the good fight" until his death. He maintained a positive attitude in the face of adversity, setting an example for his family and friends that each day is worth living and accepted his diagnosis without complaints and self pity. David's greatest joys in life were socializing and spending time with his farmily and friends. He was a master in the art of giving and enjoyed recognizing his friends with gifts, even on the most trivial of holidays. David is survived by his mother, Nora Sack, Hettinger; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Jeane Sack, Newcastle, Wyo.; two nieces, Tanya and Randy Austin, Torrington, Wyo., and Karla Sack, Denver; two grand-nephews and a grand-niece. He also leaves Joan Coleman and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Sack.

John Schmidt
John H. Schmidt, 87, Bismarck, died June 5, 2001, in a Bismarck care center. Arrangements are pending at Eastgate Funeral Service.

Jeanne Sedivec-Lutz
Jeanne Sedivec-Lutz, 64, Kingman, Ariz., formerly of Wing, died May 30, 2001. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Sunne Lutheran Church, Wilton. Jeanne was born July 4, 1936, to George and Hilma (Olson) Sedivec. She graduated from Wing High School in 1954. She worked as a legal secretary for the Milton Higgins Law firm in Bismarck. Jeanne married Richard Berdahl in 1962. They moved to Fargo. There she worked for Judge Ronald Davies from 1967 to 1978. Jeanne moved to Arizona in June 1978 and married Ron Lutz. She worked for the Arizona Supreme Court and most recently the Steven M. Lee Law Office in Kingman, Ariz. Jeanne had a wonderful disposition and sense of humor. She loved to read, snowmobile, ski and hunt. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents.

Josephine Seymour
POLLOCK, S.D. -- Josephine Seymour, 81, Pollock, died June 4, 2001, in her home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church, with burial in Spring Valley Cemetery, Pollock. She is survived by three sons, Jerry, Aberdeen, S.D., Rick, Pollock, and Frank, Pollock; three daughters, Bonnie Wike, Aberdeen, Sylvia Huizenga, Linton, and Sandy Quenzer, Aberdeen; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harold Bootsma, Kansas City, Kan. KULM -- Hildur Zachrison, 93, Kulm, died June 5, 2001, in a Fargo hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kulm Baptist Church, with burial in Swede Township Cemetery, rural Kulm. She is survived by one son, DelWayne, Jud; two daughters, Jeanette Swingen and CaroleJean Lamoureux, both of Fargo; one brother, Holger Bradford, Vancouver, Wash.; one sister, Doris Ryan, Ocean Park, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
