MINOT -- Frances Carlson, 88, Minot, and formerly of Dunseith, died Jan. 22, 2000 in a Minot nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Trinity Homes Centre Chapel, Minot, with burial in Rosehill Memorial Park.
She is survived by one son, Wayne, Minot; one grandson and two great-grandsons; one step-grandson and one brother, Gordon Wietstock, Salinas, Calif. (Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot)

Edgar Finck
JAMESTOWN -- Edgar Finck, 77, Jamestown, died Jan. 22, 2000 in the New Rockford nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jamestown. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; four sons, Gary, Perry and Todd, all of Jamestown, and Rodney, Towner; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson; and one sister, Gertrude Stern, Moorhead, Minn. (Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown)

Maxine Carry Moccasin
Maxine Carry Moccasin, 43, Denver, Colo., entered peacefully into heaven on Jan. 20, 2000 in Denver. Services will be held at 11 a.m. CST Thursday, at St. James Catholic Church, Porcupine, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Wednesday, at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, and for one hour prior to the service at the church, with a rosary service said at 10:30 a.m.
Maxine was born Feb. 28, 1956 in Fort Yates to Vivian Carry Moccasin and Hugh See Walker. She had worked at a Denver Nursing home as a housekeeper.
She is survived by three daughters, Frances Cardenas, Denver, Vivian and Tina Herrera, Engelwood, Colo.; one granddaughter and numerous family members. (Perry Funeral Home, Mandan)

Clair Carlson
MADDOCK -- Clair "Bill" Carlson, 67, rural Maddock, died Jan. 20, 2000 in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at North Viking Lutheran Church, Maddock. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen; one son, Brian, Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Sandra Hintz, Garrison, and Pamela Carlson, Seattle; four grandchildren; a stepson, Kelly Bazal, Lakota; two step-grandchildren; two brothers, Rodger, Park River, and Carroll, Louisville, Ky.; and three sisters, Phyllis Hakanson, Maddock, Frances Sorsteen and Beverly Lane, both of Seattle. Edwin Simonson
MADDOCK -- Edwin Simonson, 81, Maddock, died Jan. 22, 2000 in the Rugby hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Zion Lutheran Brethren Church, Maddock. Burial will be in North Viking Cemetery, Maddock.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen; a son, Lannie, Maddock; two daughters, Boni Simonson, MInot, and Laurie Simonson, Maddock; one grandchild; a brother, Virgil, Carrington; and two sisters, Signe Hansen, Wahpeton, and Edith Partyke, Hansville, Wash. (Nelson Funeral Home, Maddock)

Ronald Stevens
UNDERWOOD -- Ronald Stevens, 53, rural Underwood, died Jan. 23, 2000 at his home. Arrangements are pending with Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn.

Jeffrey Heilman
Jeffrey A. Heilman, 37, formerly of Beach, died Jan. 17, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nev. Services will be held at noon Tuesday, at Church of Corpus Christi, Bismarck, with the Rev. Steve Zastoupil officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. today, at Bismarck Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Jeffrey was born June 18, 1962, the son of George and Dorothy (Mathern) Heilman in Beach. He graduated from Beach High School in 1980. Jeffrey loved the simple things in life. He had a great passion for the outdoors.
He is survived by his parents, George Heilman, Beach, Dorothy and husband Wes Hoopman, Bismarck; three sisters, Joyce and husband Cliff Polensky, Alexander, Minn., Mary Kay and husband Pat Johnston, Holh, Fla., and Lisa Heilman, Cheyenne, Wyo.; five brothers, Duane and wife Cindy Heilman, El Dorado, Calif., Ken Heilman, Hollywood, Fla., Kevin and wife Cindy Heilman, Fredrick, Md., Steve and wife Marie Heilman, Citrus Heights, Calif., and Bob Heilman, Bismarck; 12 nieces and eight nephews; and two step-nieces and two step-nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Kathy Jo and his grandparents.

Otto Fink
Otto W. Fink, 92, 410 W. Boulevard Ave., Bismarck, died Jan. 20, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at noon Tuesday at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, with the Rev. Wayne Sattler officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck, in the spring.
Public visitation will be from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday at Boelter Funeral Home, Bismarck, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas E. Kramer officiating. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services at the church.
Otto was born on Nov. 8, 1907, on the family farm near Lehr, the son of William and Catherine (Meyer) Fink, and was raised and educated in country schools. Otto came to Bismarck in 1922, where he worked at the Bismarck Hotel, later he worked as a cook for the GP Hotel.
He married Julia Keller in 1928 in Fargo, where he worked for the Powers Hotel. During the depression, they returned to Bismarck where Otto worked at the Sweet Shop. In 1943, they moved to Tacoma, Wash., where Otto worked as a chef. Later he owned his first restaurants, Art's Griddle and the Tip-Top Cafe. In 1948, they returned to Bismarck and operated the Finks Cafe. Later he went on to operate the Light House Cafe, the Corral Drive-in Theatre, Patrick's Pancake House and the Red Carpet Lounge. During his retirement years, he formed Master Angler Tackle Company.
Otto enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching softball and was an excellent dancer. He spent a lot of time taking care of his wife at the Baptist Home.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Fink, Bismarck; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Otto Jr. and Jacque Fink, Kent, Wash., Patrick W. Fink and Colin McKenzie, Portland, Ore., and Verla Fink, Yelm, Wash.; 26 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Verna Bonds, Portland, Ore.; and one brother, Bill Fink, Vancouver, Wash.
He was preceded in death by one son, Robert J. Fink; three brothers and four sisters. (Boelter Funeral Home, Bismarck)

Arnold Zimmerman
HEBRON -- Arnold Zimmerman, 62, Hebron, died Jan. 23, 2000 in a Mandan care center. Arrangements are pending with Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron.

Matilda Zentner
Matilda Zentner, 85, Morristown, S.D., died Jan. 22, 2000 in a Wakonda, S.D. care center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Morristown. Burial will be in Hillview Cemetery, Isabel, S.D.
She is survived by five sons, Allean, Petaluma, Calif., Luellyn, Sadastapol, Calif., Leon, Morristown, Kenneth, Mission Hill, S.D., Darold, Riverside, Wash.; four daughters, Lorrain Aase, Mission Hill, Evelyn Bachmeier, Rapid City, S.D., Viole Zentner, Lemmon, S.D., Merlene Lovitt, Whitewood, S.D.; four sisters, Veronica Schily, Omak, Wash., Rachel Bock and Gladys Douglas, both of Isabel, S.D., Lucy Klingman, Trail City, S.D.; 27 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Eloise Silk
FORT YATES -- Eloise Silk, 50, Fort Yates, died Jan. 22, 2000 in the Fort Yates hospital. Arrangements are pending with Perry Funeral Home, Mandan.

Richard Grenz
Richard Grenz, 69, Bismarck, died Jan. 24, 2000, in Arizona. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Bismarck. Further arrangements are pending at Eastgate Funeral Service.

Marguerite Owen
STERLING -- Marguerite L. "Peggy" Owen, 78, Sterling, died Jan. 25, 2000, in her home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sterling United Methodist Church. Further arrangements are pending at Eastgate Funeral Service.

Arnold Zimmerman
HEBRON -- Arnold Zimmerman, 62, Hebron, died Jan. 23, 2000, in a Mandan care center. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. MST today at St. John United Church of Christ, Hebron, with the Rev. Thomas A. Zuhlke officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon MST today, both at Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arnold was born on March 27, 1937, in rural Hebron, the son of Edward and Martha (Kitzan) Zimmerman. He was raised and educated in rural Hebron. He married Gertrude Godlevsky on Feb. 22, 1969, at Hebron. Following their marriage, they were lifetime farmers in rural Hebron. They moved into Hebron in 1995, where they have resided since.
He was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ, and the Dickinson Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Kathy, Bismarck; and three stepsons, Howard and Harley, both of Dickinson, and Harlan, Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents. (Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron)
