LEHR -- Darold P. Finck, 56, Lehr, died March 19, 2000, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Lehr. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lehr United Methodist Church, with burial in Lehr Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; one daughter, Darci Kvam, Maple Lake, Minn.; two sons, Darin and Travis, both of Wishek; three grandchildren; his mother, Freda Finck, Lehr; three sisters, Marlys Wanner, Wishek, Darlene Myers, Wing, and Bonnie Dewald, Lehr; and two brothers, Richard, Jamestown, and Tom, Lehr. RICHARDTON -- Bernice F. Goetz, 65, Richardton, died March 20, 2000, in the Dickinson hospital. Arrangements are pending at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.

Frederick "Fritz" Harm
Frederick "Fritz" Harm, 84, Mandan, died March 19, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Albert Leary officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery, with military rites by Mandan Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 707 and Mandan American Legion Post 40. Visitation will be from noon-9 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 tonight, followed by a parish vigil at 7:30. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Frederick "Fritz" Harm, the son of Louis and Margaret (Wetsch) Harm, was born Aug. 4, 1915, in Solen, where he was raised and educated. Fred served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942-1945. He served with the military police and was stationed in Central Europe and Normandy. He received the Purple Heart and many other medals. Fred returned to Mandan, and on Jan. 24, 1946, he was united in marriage to Madeline Ferderer, in Mandan. Fred was a route salesman for Cloverdale for 32 years. He retired in 1980 and began working for Morton County Weed Board. He was a member of Elks, a past president of Eagles, and was active in the Boy Scouts, where he served as a scout master. Fred is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Harvey, Larry and Judy, and Jack and Lindy, all of Mandan, and Ronald, Bismarck; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maggie, who died June 18, 1993; three brothers, August, Mike and Bill; and one sister, Margaret. A special thanks to Gladys Martin and family for the loving care given these past several months, and special friends, Kenny Berger and Elsie Nelson.

Leo Holzemer
NEW ENGLAND -- Leo Holzemer, 82, New England, died March 18, 2000, in the Hettinger hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, New England, with burial in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Amidon. He is survived by one son, Don, Altamonte Springs, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Elsie Nielsen and Linda Johnson, both of Jessie; one stepson, Charles Shumaker, Bismarck; three brothers, George, Madison, Minn., Stan, Dickinson, and Harold, Littleton, Colo.; two sisters, Lucille Heilman, Los Angeles, Calif., and Sylvia Koppinger, New England; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. SOUTH HEART -- Stanley L. Luptak, 90, formerly of South Heart, died March 17, 2000, in Laurel, Mont. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Wednesday at St. Martin DeTours Catholic Church, Pomey's Pillar, Mont. Further arrangements are pending at Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson.

DICKINSON -- Elaine M. Raisl, 55, Dickinson, died March 17, 2000, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MST Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center Chapel, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending at Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home, Beach.

Nellie F. Solberg, 93, Edina, Minn., formerly of Bismarck, died March 20, 2000, in Edina. Arrangements are pending at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan.

Agnes J. Walker
MINOT -- Agnes J. Walker, 82, Minot, died March 19, 2000, in her home of natural causes. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot, with burial in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Agnes was born Jan. 18, 1918, in Ryder, the daughter of Ole and Jensina (Bjordahl) Hovde. She was raised in that area, and graduated from Ryder High School. She attended Minot State Teachers College. She married F. Bruce Walker Sr. on Sept. 21, 1940, in Minot. They lived in Minot throughout their married life. She had been employed in a variety of jobs, including the F.W. Woolworth Co., Ellison's Department Store, and Parker Moe Moters. She was employed at KXMC Television for 15 years as a copywriter and also did the television weather reports. She worked for Dr. John Ayash at the Minot Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic for 13 years. In recent years, she worked at Gateway Insurance with her husband until his death on Dec. 3, 1998. More recently she worked with her son in his real estate business, Coldwell Banker 1st Minot Realty and Management Inc. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot, and the Bethany Lutheran Church Women. She was a member of the Republican Women's Club, the Carnegie Art Center, the Minot Women's Symphony League and the Parent Teacher Association, all of Minot. She was a longtime volunteer for the Minot Community Concert Association, Trinity Hospital, American Red Cross, Easter Seal Society, the State Tourist Center at Minot Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Election Bureau, American Cancer Society, Norsk Hostfest Association, and the Railroad Museum. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy Walker, Minot, and Elizabeth and Jim Lunseth, Phoenix; one son and daughter-in-law, F. Bruce Jr. andDiane, Minot; eight grandchildren, Daren, Tricia, Terry and Brendon Walker, Kelly Dadian, Matthew and Jennifer Gibney, and Kristen Nelson; six great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Courtney, Carson, Thomas, Jade and Kaytlyn; three sisters, Inga Endresen and Clara Widdel, both of Minot, and Hazel Hovde, Pelican Rapids, Minn.; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Markle, Minot; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, F. Bruce Walker Sr.; her parents, Ole and Jensina Hovde; three sisters, Alyce Underdahl, Emma Krueger and Ella Marquardt; and three brothers, Arthur Bjordahl, Melvin Bjordahl and George Hovde. The family prefers memorials to Bethany Lultheran Church Handbell Choir or to an organization of the donor's choice.

Dewey E. Williams
WILLISTON -- Dewey E. Williams, 84, Williston, died March 19, 2000, in the Williston hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Union Church, Williston. Further arrangements are pending at Everson Funeral Home, Williston.

Ardean G. Zahursky
MAX -- Ardean G. Zahursky, 36, Max, died March 19, 2000, in his home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Max, with burial at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Ardean was born into the loving family of Archie and Mavis (Helmers) Zahursky on Feb. 14, 1964, in Minot. He was raised and grew to be a man on the family farm north of Max. The farm was his one true love. He graduated from Max High School in the Class of 1982, and went on to complete a degree in carpentry at Bismarck Junior College which is now Bismarck State College. He then worked in Bismarck and Minneapolis before returning to the family farm. As he engaged in farming, he worked with his father at A.Z. Tax Service in Minot for 10 years. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Max, and served as treasurer on Rushville Township Board in Ward County. He was an avid trapper and enjoyed the outdoors. He dedicated himself to working the land and nurturing its growth. He was a caring son, loving brother and wonderful uncle. He enjoyed his nieces and nephews, playing games with them, reading to them and watching them grow. He will be greatly missed, but always remembered by his parents, Archie and Mavis Zahursky, Max; one brother and sister-in-law, Allan and Deb, Max; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Rochel and Mark Wagner, Beulah, Renae and Lorell Jungling, Valley City, and Anita and Greg Hoffman, Bismarck; also blessed to know him are his nieces and nephews, Ericka, Dustin and Tanner Germain, Michael, Jacob and Jared Wagner, Ryne and Reid Jungling, and Alexis Hoffman; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Nellie Zahursky, and Pete and Minnie Helmers. Friends are invited to join the family at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Minot, in the Fellowship Hall located at 3705 11th St. S.W., Minot, following the graveside service.

Marcus F. Dobitz
NEW ENGLAND -- Marcus F. Dobitz, five year-old son of Peter and Joyce Dobitz, New England, was pronounced died March 21, 2000 in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MST Friday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New England, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Peter and Joyce Dobitz, New England; his twin brother, Michael, and his sister, Sarah Dobitz, both at home; and his grandparents, Sam and Irene Binstock, Regent, and Violet Dobitz, New England. Bertha Grasser
WILLISTON -- Bertha Orth Grasser, 96, Williston, died March 21, 2000 in a Williston nursing home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Williston, with burial in Riverview Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Earl; one son, Horner, Williston; one daughter, Vera Hapip, Williston; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and one step-daughter, Darlene Mischke. Lena Heihn
BEULAH -- Lena Heihn, 78, Beulah, died March 21, 2000 in the Beulah care center, where she had resided since 1993. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MST Friday, at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah, with the Rev. Doreen Jeffers officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah City Cemetery. Visitation hours will be from 6-8 p.m. MST today at Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah. Lena was born in Golden Valley on Aug. 20, 1921, a daughter of George and Sophia (Janke) Richau. She later moved to Beulah, where she met Otto Heihn and they were married on Aug. 21, 1953. Mrs. Heihn was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, the VFW Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors Society. She enjoyed cooking, baking and the company of her many friends and family. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judith Ann and John Rogers, Helena, Mont.; her grandchild, Jillian Rogers, Helena; her sisters-in-law, Esther Richau, Bismarck, Martha Heihn, Pauline Rueb, Alvina McLaughlin and Emma Hoyt, all of Beulah, and Frieda Heihn, Bismarck. Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Otto, on April 11, 1996; her parents; two brothers, Herbert and Emil Richau; and three sisters, Elsie Miller, Ida Schneider and Pauline Bauer. Melvin A. Johnson
Melvin A. Johnson, 82, Bismarck, and formerly of rural Washburn, died March 21, 2000 in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at First Lutheran Church, Washburn, with the Rev. Bradley Brauer officiating. He has donated his body to the UND School of Medicine in Grand Forks. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. today, at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn, and will continue on Friday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be all of Melvin's grandchildren. Melvin Archie Johnson was born April 8, 1917 at rural Falkirk, in Buffalo Township to John O. and Ida L. (Edlund) Johnson. He grew up on his parents' farm northwest of Washburn, where he attended rural school. As a young man he farmed and also worked at area underground coal mines. He married Margaret Bettger on April 8, 1942 at Washburn. They lived at Sitka near the Garrison Dam where Melvin was employed as a carpenter during the construction of the Dam. He then worked at the Minot Air Force Base until moving to Coleharbor in 1959. He then was employed at area missile sites until they moved to a farm near Falkirk in 1965, when he farmed until his retirement in 1975. He became a resident of the Karrington Commons at Bismarck last November. He enjoyed fixing and tinkering in his shop and his pride and joy were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sons and daughters-in-law, Denice and Paulette Johnson, Washburn, and Michael and Margaret Johnson, Helena, Mont.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Janice and Charles Berget, Libby, Mont., Rebecca and Ron Stevahn, Bismarck, Elaine and Clayton Carr, Washburn, and Margo Johnson, Bismarck; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lavern Johnson, Washburn, and one sister, Viola Potter, California. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, four sisters and an infant daughter, Rebecca. The family prefers memorials directed to charity of donors' choice. JAMESTOWN -- Lillian V. McCoy, 91, Jamestown, died March 19, 2000 in a Jamestown hospital. She is survived by one son, Noel, Jamestown; one daughter, Arva Dell Tahran, Jamestown; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Adeline Oxentenko, Bismarck. Albert Zeller
BEULAH -- Albert Zeller, 76, Beulah, died March 20, 2000 in a Sacramento, Calif. hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Friday, at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah, with the Rev. Kris Nyman officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Beulah. Visitation hours will be held from 4-8 p.m. MST today at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah. Albert was born on April 23, 1923 in Mercer County, a son of Christ and Magdalena (Mehlhoff) Zeller. In 1945, Albert served in the U.S. Army. Following his discharge, he returned to the farm north of Beulah, until retiring in 1975. On Dec. 14, 1942, he married Rufina Mettler. Albert was well-known in the area for having his own orchestra for many years. He truly enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, James and Iraida, Stockton, Calif., Jerry, Mandan, and Craig and Robin, Beulah; seven grandchildren, Wade, Vance, Annette, Todd, John, Bryce and Zachary; one great-grandson, Kurt; three sisters, Pauline Hildebrand Alm, Bismarck, Ida and August Klundt, Moorhead, Minn., and Esther and Kenneth Kay, Montana. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and four sisters. (Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah)
