Wilma L. Keller
Wilma L. Keller, 97, a longtime North Platte resident, died June 26, 2001, at Bowie, Md.
She was born Jan. 15, 1904, to Charles L. and Nora Brown Kaupp at Broken Bow.
She was raised in the Broken Bow area and graduated from high school at Merna. After graduation she attended a year of business school in Lincoln.
She married Vere A. Keller of Lincoln Oct. 29, 1927. They moved to North Platte in 1948. Her husband died Dec. 9, 1987.
In 1988, she moved to Bowie, Md., to live with her daughter. She attended St. Matthews United Methodist Church and the Bowie Adult Care Center. She enjoyed socializing, playing cards and many day excursions.
Mrs. Keller was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the American War Mothers, the U.S. Army Mothers, the Gold Star Mothers, the Maxwell War Mothers, Nebraska Home Extension Club, Royal Neighbors (Maxwell, Eureks Lodge), the Sarah Rebekah Lodge 10 of North Platte and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Does Drove 109. She enjoyed canning, crocheting and playing bridge.
Survivors include a daughter, JoAnne (Russ) Michener of Bowie; three granddaughters, Sandra Totten of Gambrills, Md., Debra (Mark) Perkins of Annapolis, Md., and Sherry (James) Duley of Gambrills, Md.; three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Allison and Melissa Perkins; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens with the Rev. David Lux officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge.
Sharon Marie Kreikemeier
WEST POINT - Sharon Marie Kreikemeier, 51, of rural West Point, mother of Jenny Johnston of Stapleton, died June 29, 2001, at the St. Francis Memorial Hospital following a horse-riding accident.
She was born April 26, 1950, at West Point to Edward and Adana Kreikemeier Wieneke, and graduated from West Point High School in 1968. She attended Bahner's Beauty School in Fremont.
On Aug. 1, 1970, she married Larry Kreikemeier at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in St. Charles, where they farmed. For many years, she owned and operated the Hair Den Beauty Salon in West Point.
She enjoyed rodeo and served as secretary of the Nebraska High School Rodeo for many years. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Guild.
Mrs. Kreikemeier is survived by her husband; a daughter, Jenny (Jason) Johnston of Stapleton; three sons, Jeff (Wanda) of Stanton, Brad of Durango, Colo., and Barry of West Point; her parents; two sisters, Shirley Rief of West Point and Lynette Petersen of Scribner; and a brother, Gerald Wieneke of West Point.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church or the Sharon Kreikemeier Scholarship Fund.
Guild Rosary will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Stalp Funeral Home in West Point. Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the church. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the Stalp Funeral Home in West Point.
Marlene F. McCullough
BRADY - Marlene F. McCullough, 68, of Brady died June 29, 2001, at York.
She was born Aug. 19, 1932, at Los Angeles.
On Aug. 31, 1952, she married Robert L. McCullough at Carson City, Nev. They spent most of their lives in the Los Angeles area.
In 1952, they moved to Brady.
Mrs. McCullough is survived by her husband; a daughter, Colleen (Tony) Kessler of Beaver Crossing; a son, Michael of Santa Clarita, Calif.; three grandsons, Joshua, Aaron and Kathleen Kessler; a sister, Evelyn Sutt of Sequim, Wash.; and a brother, Ricardo Benites of New Mexico.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Counsel Catholic Church in Gothenburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church in Gothenburg with the Rev. Donald O'Brien as celebrant. Burial will be in the McCullough family cemetery south of Maxwell.
Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Monday at the Carpenter Memorial Chapel and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the church.
Edward L. Roe
GOTHENBURG - Edward Roe, 92, of Gothenburg, a former longtime resident of Cozad, died June 30, 2001, at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 14, 1908, at Cozad to Rozell and Lottie Gunn Rose. He attended rural school.
On Sept. 10, 1928, he married Irene Anders at North Platte. They lived in Cozad. He was employed for a brief time by the Ditch Co., and then for several years as a truck driver for Cover Feed Lot.
He worked for Davis and later Muirhead Petroleum Co. as a truck driver, doing bulk fuel delivery. He then worked at the Co-op Station until his retirement.
He was a member of the Cozad Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Roe is survived by a daughter, Jewel (Milton) Schulz of Gothenburg; a son, LaVern (Marge) of Burley, Idaho; a son-in-law, Gerald Morris of Gothenburg; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998; a daughter, Ruth Morris; a granddaughter, Ruth Ann Morris; a grandson, Edward Roe; three sisters, Bertha Murray, Opal Moore and Gladys Woodring; and three brothers, Fred, John and Glen.
Memorials are suggested to the Cozad Christian Church.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Cozad Christian Church with Jim Henry officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.
Patricia L. Shaver
ELLIS, Kan. - Patricia Lou Shaver of Ellis, Kan., formerly of North Platte, died June 29, 2001, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was 73.
She was born July 21, 1927, at Denver.
She was a homemaker and was active in the American Women in the Arts and the North Platte Christian Women's Club and was a member of the Agape Southern Baptist Church.
Mrs. Shaver is survived by her husband, Rex; three daughters, Vicki Shaver of Dumbarton, Scotland, and Mary Matzke and Sherri Faulkender, both of Ellis; two sons, Ned and James, both of Hays, Kan.; a sister, Diane Gouff of Atascadero, Calif.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Maranatha Bible Camp.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Armel (Colo.) Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Lofton officiating.

Joyce Lucille Boyer
SUTHERLAND - Joyce Lucille Boyer, 66, of Sutherland died July 3, 2001, at her home.
She was born Nov. 29, 1934, at Sutherland to Almer Robert and Acenath Carrie Schreckengast Hughes. She grew up in Sutherland and graduated from high school there in 1952.
On July 6, 1952, she married Lloyd Edwin Boyer in Sutherland.
They lived in Sutherland before moving to Dickens for a short time, then moved to Gothenburg where they lived for seven years. They then returned to a farm south of Sutherland.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, tending flowers, reading, traveling and baby-sitting. She was a member of the Sutherland United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, a church reading program and the Garden Club.
She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Cynthia (David) Einspahr of Sutherland, Barbara (John) Befort of North Platte, Bernice (Irvin) Adams of Lone Tree, Iowa, and Judy (Mike) Main of Kearney; a son, Dennis (Rita) Boer of Loveland, Colo.; two sisters, Ramona (Pete) Watrous of Des Moines, Iowa, and Betty (Leonard "Bud") Priel of North Platte; two brothers, Billy (Evelyn) Hughes of Rapid City, S.D., and David (Betty Jean) Hughes of Sutherland; 13 grandchildren, Rhonda Fleecs, Travis and Joni Forden, Fawn Boyer, Bambi Guerra, Jeremy and Amanda Befort, Raymond, Betty Jo and Kevin Adams, Eric Abree and Adam Main; five great-grandchildren, Kayla Hunt, Mason Sailor, Jasmine and Jordan Guerra and William Adams; her father-in-law, George Boyer of North Platte; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jerre Fleecs; her parents; her mother-in-law, Irene Boyer; and a sister, Pauline Hughes.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sutherland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Karl Lent officiating.

Pauline F. Beckius
OGALLALA - Pauline F. Beckius, 85, of Ogallala died July 4, 2001, at Indian Hills Manor.
She was born May 4, 1916, at Ogallala to Archie and May Piersol Houchin. She attended schools in Ogallala and graduated in 1934 from high school in Manville, Wyo.
On Sept. 2, 1940, she married Dick Deines.
She was employed for 45 years at the First National Bank in Ogallala. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women and had held state and national offices in National Bank Women. She was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
On March 6, 1982, she married Edward H. Beckius.
Mrs. Beckius is survived by several nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law, George (Juanita) Beckius of Ogallala.
Preceding her in death were her husbands; her parents; two sisters, Gertrude and Ruth; and a brother, Marion Houchin.
Memorials may be made to St. Luke's School.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Schlaf as celebrant. Burial will be in the Ogallala Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. today until the rosary at 6 p.m. at Gubser Funeral Home in Ogallala.
Joyce Lucille Boyer
SUTHERLAND - Joyce Lucille Boyer, 66, died July 3, 2001, at her home south of Sutherland.
