Eula Ilene Reed
Eula Ilene Reed, age 85 of Lincoln passed away April 14, 2014 after a courageous battle with Alzheimers. She was born April 5, 1929 in Western, Nebraska to Theodore Robert and Elsie Margaret (Krajnik) Gross. Eula was married
to John H. Reed on May 25, 1951 in Western, Nebraska.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, John H. Reed of Lincoln. Daughter and Son-in-law, Lori and Troy Christensen and their children Evan R. Christensen and Jesse R. Christensen all of Omaha. Son and Daughter-in-law, Lane and Shelley Reed of Bee, Nebraska. Sister, LaRae Betka of Geneva, Nebraska and a sister-in-law, Pauline Gross of Westminister, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brother, Richard Gross and brother-in-law, Edward Betka.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 17th at Wyuka Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 16th from 1:00-7:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home. Interment will be at Wyuka cemetery.

Edna E. Simpson
Edna Emma (Carlson) Simpson, age 84 of Lincoln, widow of Harding (Curly) passed Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Born to Carl Gustav and Emma Sophia Carlson on January 20, 1930 in Lincoln. Married Harding Simpson October 16, 1948. She is a member of the Order of Eastern Star, StarCraft Chapter #307.
Left to cherish precious memories are her daughters, Denise Hager and Lois Simpson. Grandchildren: Jandrea (Erwin) Swiney, Lamelia (Justin) Miles, Bryan (Kristy) Simpson, Carissa Hager, Cassandra (Robert) Menyweather, Candis Hager, Artesia (Joshua) Holmes, Tarae Dowd and Miranda Hager. 14 Great grandchildren. Brother: Arvid Carlson. Preceded in death by her husband, sons Jon and Dennis Simpson. Granddaughter Jaci Simpson, Sister, E. Ruth Smith. Brothers, Kenneth and Edwin Carlson and her parents.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Wyuka Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, February 28th from Noon until 8:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home. Burial at Wyuka cemetery.

Opal Ruth Magnuson age 83 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Friday, December 10, 2010 in Lincoln. She was born on January 10, 1927 in Western, Nebraska to Emil Valentine and Sadie Marie Eldora (Keller) Glebe. Opal and her husband were self-employed parking lot stripers.
Cremation, no visitation.
A memorial service held at a later date.
Opal is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ruel and LaJean Magnuson of Eagle; son and daughter-in-law, Kial and Lynn Magnuson of Granby, Colorado; grandson, Shannon Magnuson of Granbury, Texas; grandson, Damon Magnuson of Lincoln; granddaughter, Kristine Crosgrove of Eagle; grandson, Eric Magnuson of Boulder, Colorado; great-granddaughter, Rylee Crosgrove; great-grandson, Ty Crosgrove; sister, Beatrice Freeman of LaMirada, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ron Magnuson; brother, Doug Glebe and a sister, Shirley.
Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.

Hing Ho age 86 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Monday, December 6, 2010 In Lincoln. She was born on June 18, 1924 in China to Sei Quay Ho and Sai Mak.
She is survived by her husband, Pun Ma of Lincoln; son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Theresa S. Ma of Lincoln; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Deba Sarma of Omaha; granddaughter, Kimberly Ma of Portland, Oregon; grandson, Jonathan Ma of New York City; grandson, Justin Ma of San Francisco, California; granddaughter, Lisa and Jeremie Sarma-Roux of Paris, France; grandson, David Sarma of New York City; great-grandson, Phoenix Roux of Paris, France. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers.
A private family graveside service will be held at Wyuka cemetery on Friday, December 10, 2010.
Burial will be in Wyuka cemetery.

D. Irene Johnson

Age 95, of Lincoln, widower of Richard E. Johnson, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Milder Manor nursing home. Irene was born May 26, 1915 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Frank and Luella (Haakinson) Pock. She grew up with two brothers and a sister and later was a sister to 2 half brothers. Irene attended Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and in 1937 graduated with a bachelors degree in English. After graduation she became a teacher in Wausa, Nebraska, were she met and married
Richard E. Johnson on June 22, 1940. Irene and Richard had one son, Richard K. Johnson who passed away on September 22, 2010. Irene received her masters degree in library science and worked many years at the University of Nebraska, Extension Division, as an adult education counselor. Irene was a devoted member of Peo Chapter AI, First Lutheran Church member since 1952 and was the official grandmother for the Farm House Fraternity on East Campus. Irene loved to entertain and dote over her husband, only son and 2 granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard E., Son: Richard K. and granddaughter: Paige N. Estes, Brothers: John and Dale Pock and sister: Vesta Pock. Survivors include her granddaughter and husband: Natalie and Roger Sluka and their children Colby and Taylor Sluka. Special friends: Linda and Tim Kelly all of Lincoln. Many nieces and nephews. Special Thanks to the staff at Milder Manor and Acera Care Hospice.
Services will be held at First Lutheran Church, Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be held at Wyuka Funeral Home Sunday, December 5, 2010 from Noon until 7:00 P.M. with the family present from 4:00 to 5:00 P.M.
Interment will be at Wyuka cemetery.
Memorials may be given to First Lutheran Church in Irenes name.

Hannah Marie Walter, 2 1/2 month old daughter of Douglas and Tonny went to the arms of her heavenly Father on Friday, November 26, 2010. She was born on August 31, 2010 in Lincoln.
Hannah is survived by her parents, Douglas and Tonny of Lincoln; brothers, Ryan of Grand Island and Devin of Minden; grandmother, Marilyn Bolte of Lincoln; grandmother and special friend, Ann Walter and Del Wattjes of Raymond; grandfather, Joseph Lehning of Florida; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Hannah was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dwayne Walter; great-grandparents, Alvin and Ruth Sassman; John and Elsie King and Henry and Gertrude Walter.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Wyuka cemetery.

Violet Susan Allen

Violet S. Allen age 65 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Saturday, November 27, 2010 in Lincoln. She was born on April 29, 1945 in Citrus Heights, California to Harvey and Rose (Klemm) Griggs. She was a waitress until March of 1973, and then became a mother and housewife until her death.
Violet is survived by her husband, Austin of Lincoln; daughter, Rose Clauson of Lincoln; daughter, Michelle Allen of Lincoln; son, Blake Gilmore of Arizona; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Turner of Lincoln; sister, Linda Lacey of Lincoln; brother, Phillip Griggs of Lincoln; brother, Chuck Griggs of Lincoln and brother, Terry Stobb of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Kenneth, a brother and a sister.
Cremation, no visitation.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.

Gary Lee Prey
November 25, 2010
Age 67, of Lincoln. Joined his Heavenly Father on November 24, 2010. Born February 6, 1943 in Lincoln to George A. and Alcidean (Chadd) Prey. Gary was a Highway Permit Officer with the Nebraska Department of Roads. He was also a longtime Eagle Scout Coordinator and Boy Scout Leader. His other memberships include the Belmont Senior Center and the Disciple of Christ Church where he was also a leader.
Survivors include his Wife: Peggy of Lincoln; Son and Daughter-in-law: Ken and Virginia Prey of Waverly and their children, Garrett and Lachlan Prey. Daughter and Son-in-law: Sharill and Scott Luedtke of Martell and their children, Christian, Celeste and Noah Luedtke. Brother and Sister-in-law: Robert and Peggy Prey of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his twin infant children Tiffany and Taylor, and his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at Southview Christian Church on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 26, 2010 at Wyuka Funeral Home from Noon until 8:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 4:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Southview Christian Church or Hearts United for Animals animal shelter in Garys name.
