November 20, 2010
Age 86, of Lincoln, died November 19, 2010. Born August 7, 1924 in Bolivar County, Mississippi to Willie and Eula Mae (Hubbard) Blackwell. Owner of Capitol Shoe Repair.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law: Dennis and Dori Meader of Lincoln; Daughters and Son-in-law: Judi Hunteman of Wylie, Texas, Lynda and John Ponec of Eagle. Sister: Aileene McConnell of Fayette, Alabama. Grandchildren and spouses: Bill and Krisha Meader of Lincoln; Tim Meader of Lincoln; Greg and Jennifer Hunteman of Austin, Texas; Heather Nierste of Farmersville, Texas; Kevin Kramer of Beatrice and Wade Meader of Lincoln. 12 Great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her 1st husband: William W. Meader, 2nd husband: Stephen Gorka and her parents.
Services will be held at Wyuka Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 1:00 P.M.
Visitation will be held at Wyuka Funeral Home Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
Memorials are to one of Marys favorite places, Sunken Gardens, in care of Wyuka Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Wyuka cemetery.

Hazel May Miller
November 18, 2010
Hazel May Miller age 90 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in Lincoln. She was born on October 5, 1920 in Goehner, Nebraska to Ed and Katie (Zimmer) Smetter. She was married to John E. Miller who preceded her in death. Hazel worked for Goodyear for 30 years.
Hazel is survived by her son, Jack Miller of Lincoln; daughters, Carol Romano of Lincoln; Shirley Hitchcock of Phoenix, Arizona; Mary L. Huff of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters.
Cremation, no visitation.
A private graveside service will be held at Wyuka cemetery.
Burial will be in Wyuka cemetery.
Memorial may be directed to the family for later designation.

Emma Rudolph
November 14, 2010
Emma Rudolph age 94 of Omaha, Nebraska (formerly of Lincoln) died on Saturday, November 13, 2010 in Omaha. She was born on December 25, 1915 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Henry and Molly (Michaels) Heil. She married Adam Rudolph. Emma was active in the Southeast Community Center and First Plymouth Congregational Church.
Emma is survived by her daughter, Nancy E. Danley of Omaha; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Michele Rudolph of Yorktown, Virginia; grandchildren, Travis, Ashley and Jessica Rudolph of Spokane, Washington; great-grandchildren, Austin, Evan and Sara. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Adam; sisters, Molly Hardt, Hilda Rowan and Pauline McCain.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Wyuka cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Lincoln Humane Society.

Jean K. Jacobsen
Jean Kathryn Jacobsen age 91 of Lincoln, Nebraska died on Saturday, November 13, 2010 in Lincoln. She was born on August 24, 1919 in Lincoln, Nebraska where she lived for most of her life. For the past 20 years she had been a resident of Eastmont Towers Senior Living Community. Jean worked as the office bookkeeper at the law offices of Knudsen, Berkheimer, Richardson and Endacott in Lincoln for over 25 years until her retirement in 1985. She was a longtime member of Trinity Methodist Church and was also a member of Alpha Phi International Sorority.
Jean was a great mother and grandmother with her quick wit and dry sense of humor, and will be greatly missed by her immediate family.
Jeans family wishes to thank the caregivers at Eastmont Towers and the St. Elizabeths Hospice for their terrific care.
Jean is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rodman R. and Grace Dickson of California; son and daughter-in-law, Bradley A. and Kris Winter of Norfolk, Nebraska; grandsons, Bradley B. Dickson and Kevin G. Dickson both of California. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian (Ayers) Baker and her husband, Peter A. Jacobsen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with family present during this time at Wyuka Funeral Home.
Private family interment will be held in Wyuka cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.

VIRGINIA FAYE WHITE
Age 85, passed away November 16, 2009 in Lincoln following a short battle with cancer. She was born September 29, 1924 in Bancroft, Nebraska to the late Harry and Beulah (Hartline) Carle. She attended Woodrow Wilson Junior High and Central High School in Sioux City, Iowa. She married Richard White in 1943 and was married for 9 years with 3 children. She is formerly of South Sioux City, Nebraska and Denver, Colorado before settling in Lincoln in 1989. Her primary occupation over the years was a waitress.
VISITATION: No viewing or visitation.
SERVICE: Will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home.
FAMILY: Virginia was preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters Priscilla Hahn, Mary Lou Anderson and Carolee Carle. She is survived by her sister Gretchen Gedwillo of Lincoln. Brother Harry (Bud)Carle of Santee, California. Also left to cherish her memory are her 3 children: Sons and Daughters-in-law: Larry and Marty White of Phoenix, Ronald and Cindy White of Thornton, Colorado. Daughter: Cindy Kramer of Lincoln. She is also survived by 11 adult grandchildren; Trevor, Tracie, Lisa, Rick, Ruby, Gary Wayne, Kelli, Chad, Kim, Darren, And Bryan, as well as 17 great grandchildren.
cemetery: Inurnment will be at Wyuka cemetery.
MEMORIALS: May be given to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.

JOHN "JACK" VIRGIL KITRELL, SR.
John "Jack" Virgil Kitrell, Sr. of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away April 8, 2009 at the age of 84 years. Born in South Bend, Nebraska on December 17, 1924 to Virgil H. and Lenora B. (Sturzenegger)"L. Blanche Kitrell". Graduate of Lincoln Northeast High School. Appointed to West Point. Served his country in the Army, Honorable Discharged as 1st Sargent in November of 1945. Married to Carrie Lakey (Deceased 1997). In addition to being a WWII veteran, accomplished inventor and outdoorsman, he was a mentor to many, Loved by all and will be sadly missed.
VISITATION: No viewing or visitation. Cremation.
SERVICE: A short service will be held Thursday, May 14th at 2:00 P.M. at Wyuka Funeral Home Chapel followed by a few words at the grave site, closed by the Military services.
FAMILY: Survived by Daughter Connie and Charlie Sykes, Son John V. Jr. and Diane Kitrell In addition to his two children, Jack is survived by 10 loving grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, plus many close and supportive friends.

MEMORIALS: May be given to Tabitha Hospice and Our thanks to Wyuka for the arrangements.

GILMA VALENTINE
Of Lincoln, NE, formerly of Sioux City, Iowa. Died Saturday, December 18, 2004 in Lincoln. Born on September 16th in Soldier, Iowa to parents Silas and Anna (Tanberg) Olson

SERVICE: Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at the Meyer Brothers Morningside Funeral Chapel, 1111 Morningside Ave, Sioux City, Ia. Wyuka Funeral Home, Lincoln, NE is in charge of the arrangements.
FAMILY: Gilma is survived by her sisters Verna Albertson of Sioux City, Ia., and Helen Kunze of Mapleton, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband John L. Valentine, Parents, brother; Chester Olson, and sisters Clara Peterson & Agnes Hilbert.
cemetery: Interment will be at Memorial Park cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa.

JERALD E. BAILEY
61, of Lincoln. Died Friday 12/10/2004 at his home. Born: Sept. 27, 1943 in Lincoln to Edwin W. and Evelyn I. (Noble) Bailey. Married Patsy Cunningham on Feb. 3, 1968 in Lincoln. Served in the Army National Guard.
VISITATION: Family with receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at WYUKA Funeral Home.
SERVICE: 10:00 AM - Thursday - December 16, 2004 WYUKA Funeral Home Chapel.
