Lois E. Jensen, 67
Fremont - Died at the Fremont Area Medical Center Thursday Night. She was born April 26, 1937 at Oakland, Nebraska and was raised at Swaburg. She graduated from Uehling High School and then attended St. Mary's School of Nursing in Omaha. She worked at Immanuel Medical Center before moving to Fremont in 1966. She was employeed at Merrick Manor for 20 years until her retirement in 1994.
Lois Olson married Marvin Jensen November 27, 1955 at the Elim Church at Swaburg. He died February 2, 2002.
She was a member of Sinai Lutheran Church, the Bell Choir, ELCA, and the Altar Guild.

4 sons-Mark Jensen (wife Debra) of Fremont
Timothy Jensen (wife Veronica) of Fremont
Steven Jensen (wife Sharon) of Sioux City, Iowa

2 sisters-Elizabeth Eastberg (husband Ray) of Ft. Collins, Colorado
Evelyn Way (husband Gary) of Fremont
1 brother-Evon Olson (wife Sandy) of Fremont
15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren
Services will be Monday March 7 at 2:00 P.M. at Sinai Lutheran Church, Rev. Michael Ostrum officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel. There will be a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. Sunday. There has been a memorial established to the Sinai Lutheran Church Bell Choir. Condolences may be left at www.lattindugan.com.

Fremont - Died Sunday afternoon at Fremont Area Medical Center.
She was born December 3, 1965 in Fremont and was raised here graduating from Fremont High School in 1987. She has been with ENCOR since her graduation.
Shawn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved to sing, especially in church, watch Lawrence Welk and Guy Lombardo, liked to play Chicken, and loved to dance.

Funeral Services will be Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Mike Meyer and Rev. Donald Levenhagen officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the Family present from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Chapel. There have been memorials established to the Trinity Lutheran School Tuition Assistance Fund and ENCOR.
Burial will be in Memorial cemetery.

J. D. Newhouser, 89, Rockford, Illinois died Sunday, March 26, 2006 in Swedish American Hospital.
Born May 19, 1916 in Wilcox, Nebraska, son of Emanuel and Mary (Bates) Newhouser. Married Opal Steele on September 14, 1946. She died March 18, 1990. Opal's son was Ken Headrick, long time news and sportcaster for KHUB in Fremont, and KFAB in Omaha. Following her death, he married Alice Senseney and she predeceased him in April, 2004. He retired as Production Coordinator from the Champaign News-Gazette. Member of the Wood River, Nebraska United Methodist Church.
Survived by daughter, Jayne (husband Don) Maxwell, Rockton, Illinois; Brother, Myrald Newhouser, Lincoln, Nebraska. 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.
Services will be Friday, March 31 at 2:30P.M. at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Ron Croom officiating. Visitation will be at 1:30P.M. until service time. Burial will be in Memorial cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.lattindugan.com

Robert K. Houston

Robert K. Houston, 83 Fremont Died at his home Thursday morning after a long illness. He was born May 25, 1923 at Decatur, Illinois and graduated from Granite City Illinois High School in 1941. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp as a fighter pilot in Iceland and England until 1946. He returned and attended the University of Illnios graduating in 1949. He married Helen Aho in 1950, she died in 1977. In 1949 he joined the U.S. Rubber Company in Mishawaka, Indiana and then was with Studebaker in South Bend, Indiana before coming to AT & T in Omaha. He moved to Fremont and retired from AT & T in 1993 after 30 Years as an engineer. Robert married Evelyn Sorensen June 6, 1981 in Fremont. He was a member of First Baptist Church, served as a Boy Scout Leader, and was involved in Model Railroading. Survivied by: Wife; Evelyn 2 sons: William R. Houston (wife Noreen) of Colleyville, Texas Robert E. Houston (wife Jill) of Spartenburg, North Carolina 3 stepdaughters; Marilyn Cobb (husband Steven) of Lincoln Karen Noodell (husband Don) of Cedar Creek, Nebraska Lisa Klinzing (husband Rick) of North Bend, Nebraska 1 stepson; Arthur Sorensen (wife Vicki) of Fremont 10 grandchildren Services will be Friday June 2, at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church. Rev. Lee Foreman officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Gene Arthur Nelson

Gene A. Nelson, 64 died Thursday, March 16, 2006 at Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont.
He was born Jan. 19, 1942, in rural Hooper to Ernie and Violet (Johnson) Nelson. Shortly after graduating from Uehling High School in 1960, he enlisted in the Army Reserves. He married MaryLynn Waterbury on July 4, 1964, in Onawa, Iowa. They were married for 20 years. and had two children, Gena Lynn and Gerid Michael. He worked for Michael Curran and Associates Pipeline Company where the family traveled throughout the south for 18 years before returning to Uehling and farm the family farm near Hooper. He also worked for Dodge County as a roadgrader operator, worked for the Uehling Co-op and was a volunteer fireman. For the past 20 years, he owned and operated Gene's Bar in Uehling.
Survivors include: a daughter, Gena (husband Aaron) Karr of Arlington; a sister, Joyce Nelson of Omaha; and five grandchildren, Brennen Denton, Marlee Denton, Jessa Lovely, Garris Karr and Aadra Karr.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gerid Nelson; his parents, Violet and Ernie Nelson; a sister, LaRae; and brother-in-law, Dwain Larson.
The Rev. John Hargraves will officiate Thursday's service at 10:30AM, at Elim Lutheran Church in rural Hooper. Visitation will be 3-8p.m. Wednesday, with family receiving friends 6-8p.m., at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Furneral Chapel in Fremont. Visitation also will be 9a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Adamah cemetery in rural Hooper.
A memorial has been established to the Uehling Volunteer Fire Department. Condolences may be left online at www.lattindugan.com

John (Tony) J. Lameo

John J. "Tony" Lameo died Friday, March 17 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
He was born August 13, 1933 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Went to school and raised in Scranton. He moved to Omaha in the late 1960's. He owned and operated his own truck/trailer business. He worked for the Metz Baking Company until his retirement in 1997. Move to Fremont and drove school bus for Fremont Public Schools Transportation Department until his death. Tony was a gourmet cook and enjoyed entertaining.
Survived by 2 daughters; Merralee Lameo of Atlanta, Georgia, Christine Hagen of Waldorf, Maryland.
3 sons: Scott (wife Trish) Lameo of Easton, Pennsylvania, Rock Lameo of Maryland, Guy Lameo of Tampa, Florida. Brother Paul (wife Carole) Lameo of Clark Summit, Pennsylvania. Sister Josephine Samsell of Moosic, Pennsylvania. 7 grandchildren.

Lorraine A. Longacre

Lorraine A. Longacre, 77 of Fremont died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Arbor Manor Living Center.
She was born June 9, 1928 in Cornlea, Nebraska. Raised in Humphrey, Nebraska and graduated from Humphrey High School in 1945. Graduated from Midland College in 1947, and then went to Omaha to finish her Medical Technician Training and receive her certificate. Started working in Omaha for various Doctors, then returning to Fremont and working for Dr's Jakeman, Nelson, and Byers. Went to work in the laboratory at Fremont Area Medical Center and retired from there in 1974.
She married Donald Longacre May 7, 1950.
Hobbies include Golf, Playing Bridge, dancing and bowling. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.
Survived by daughter; Beverly (husband David) Saalfeld of North Bend, Nebraska;
3 sons; David (wife Jeannie) Longacre of Austin, Minnisota, Rodney (wife Sherryl) Longacre and Gary (wife Mary) Longacre of Fremont.
3 brothers; Ervin Nissen of Humphrey, Nebraska, Leonard Nissen of Omaha, Bob (wife Bernice) Nissen of Denver, Colorado.
13 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren
Services will be Saturday, April 1 at 10:00A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev's Donald Levenhagen and Michael Meyer officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 3pm to 8pm, with family receiving guest 6pm to 8pm at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue Saturday morning at the church until service time. Memorials have been established to American Heart Association and Trinity Lutheran School.

Katherine E. Humphrey, 28
Fremont - Died at her home on Thursday. She was born December 26, 1977 at La Mesa California, was raised in the San Diego area, and graduated from Rancho Bernardo High School in 1996. She worked in Coronado, California at the Del Coronado Hotel for two years before moving to Fremont in 1998. She was employed as a supervisor at Sav-RX.

Mother-Mary Ann Humphrey of Casa Grande, Arizona
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel. Rev. Ron Croom officiating. There will be no visitation. A memorial has been established to the Dodge County Crisis Center for Domestic Abuse.

The Rev. Charles L.R. Pedersen, 73
Fremont - Faithful Husband, Father, and Priest.
Died at his home Saturday morning. He was born May 1, 1932 in Omaha and was raised in Blair, Nebraska graduating from Blair High School in 1950. He attended Dana College and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1954. He graduated from the Berkley Divinity School in 1957 and then served parishes in Fairbury, Wymore, Hebron, Pawling, New York, and Stanford, Connecticut before coming to All Saints Episcopal Church in Omaha in 1971 as Rector. He retired from All Saints in 1993. He also served as Chaplain at Brownell-Talbot School in Omaha for 27 years. He moved to Fremont in 2003.
Father Pedersen married Frances Cook November 23, 1956 in New Haven, Connecticut.
