Moved to Longmont, Colo., 1976, where he was involved in family business, Trend Homes by Strauss Brothers. Business and family moved to Westminister, Colo., in 1978. Moved to Louisville, Colo., in 1982, and moved to Brighton in May 2001. For last seven years had his own home-building business, Strauss Homes. Enjoyed sailing; belonged to "Loon Brothers," group of sailing buddies. Car enthusiast.

Anderson -- Ethel M., 96, Lawrence, Kan., formerly of Lincoln, died Monday (11/5/2001). Born, Hastings (8/31/05) to George J. and Emma (Krieger) Monk. Lived her earliest years, 1905-1910, on a ranch in Logan County, Colo., before returning to Hastings. Moved to Lincoln, 1920, and was a longtime resident, moved to Lawrence in 1997. Graduate, University Place High School, Lincoln, 1923; Lincoln Business College, 1925. Mortgage loan and insurance secretary, Woodward Brothers; secretary, real estate firm of Loomis and Johnson, Lincoln; financial secretary, First-Plymouth Congregational Church, Lincoln, during the early and mid-1950s. For a time served as secretary, Safety Services of Lancaster County Red Cross. Member, Hall in the Grove Literary Society, Hellenic Chautauqua Literary Circle, Norden Club, all of Lincoln. Former member, First-Plymouth Congregational Church, Lincoln, since 1948, also served as a deaconess. Married Charles I. Anderson (6/2/27) in Lincoln. He died in 1990.

Will be missed by his family, friends and members of Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church, Costa Mesa, Calif., and Lincoln Unitarian Church.
