Agnes E. Rezac, widow of Joseph, 90 years of age of Lincoln, died Friday, June 5, 2009. Agnes was born on July 21, 1918 in Tipton, Kansas. Married Joseph Rezac August 18, 1941. She was a homemaker and member of St. John’s Catholic Church and Altar Society.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Prokop & husband Mike of Fremont, Nebraska and Dorothy Rezac of Prairie Village, Kansas; sons, John & wife Lore of Overland Park, Kansas, Dan & wife Annie of Central City, Nebraska, Tom of Aurora, Colorado, and Richard & wife Julia of Chicago, Illinois; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; sister, Carol Sullivan of Omaha, Nebraska and Kathy Allen of Lincoln; brother, Walter Krier & wife Henrietta of Herrick, South Dakota; Nieces & Nephews

Martin Perez
Martin Perez, age 73, of Lincoln Died Sunday, June 28 in Lincoln. He was born November 12, 1935 in Mirando City, TX, to Simon & Victoria Deleon Perez. Martin worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Lincoln from 1963 to 2000. Throughout his life, he enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing cards with family and friends. Marty especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending dinners and events with his wife Lana. As a couple they spent many hours making jellies and jams together and taking them to the Farmers Market each weekend. Marty loved to visit with the vendors and share gardening tips with them. Marty will be so very missed by those who loved him.
Mourning his death is wife, Lana Delgado Perez of Lincoln; sons & daughter-in-law, Randy & Betsy of Lincoln and Alex Perez of Lincoln; 4 Grandchildren, 1 Great grandchild, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends
Marty is preceded in death by his parents and five brothers
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lincoln with Father Douglas Dietrich officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary cemetery
Visitation will be 9am – 9 pm Wednesday & Thursday at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln, Nebraska
A Rosary services will be Thursday 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Campbell, Dr. William H.
Dr. William H. Campbell, 82, Lincoln, died Wednesday (7/1/09) after a brief illness. Faculty at University of Nebraska Dental College, Lt. Col. U.S. Air Force (retired). Member First Presbyterian Church, American Association of Endodontists.
Survived by son, Don & spouse Cindy Bosco, Denver, Colo; daughter and spouse, Nancy Campbell and Tom Price, Overland Park, Kan.; grandchildren, Jonas & Eli Price; sister & brother-in-law, Jane and Clair Lane, Cape Coral, Fla. Preceded by wife, Jean (Herbster) Campbell, daughter Carolyn, sister Virginia (Sibby) and brother Bob.
Bill grew up in Canonsburg, PA, and earned Master of Letters and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. After a short while in private practice, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served as a dentist for 20 years. During that time, he earned an MS in Endodontics from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
After retirement from the Air Force, Bill joined the faculty at the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry, where he served actively until his illness.
Bill married
Jean Herbster in 1954 and they shared 50 happy years together. He enjoyed spending his time with all of his close and extended family and his wide network of friends. Bill loved fishing, golfing, and jogging; and was an avid Cornhusker fan.

Palmer, William F.
William F. Palmer of Lincoln, Nebraska and formerly of North Platte, Nebraska died peacefully in Lincoln July 29, 2009 of end stage of Parkinson’s Disease.
He was born June 22, 1924 in Council Bluffs, Iowa and adopted by Hugh Preston and Lyda Newell Palmer of Homer, Nebraska
William graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1942
He served honorably in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during WWII
From 1946-1984 he protected the citizens of Nebraska as a member of the Nebraska State Patrol rising to the rank of Major
In his retirement years he enjoyed traveling, attending Husker Sporting Events, fishing, and being a grandfather
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Alberta Marie (Geisert) Palmer. They relocated to Lincoln 7 years ago.
Other survivors include his sons James D. (Kristine) Palmer D.D.S. of Lincoln and William R. (Leslie) Palmer M.D. of Omaha and grandchildren Lindsey K. (Marc) Milanowski and Lauren M. both of Chicago and David W. of Omaha. The grandchildren will miss their beloved grandfather “Smokey”.

Norwood, Helen
Helen Norwood was born in Seward, NE on May 4th 1923 to Karl and Emilie Greiner. She had a very challenging life as she became handicapped at an early age. This handicap created many trials as well as triumphs. Helen attended the parochial school at Concordia College and graduated from Seward High School. Helen was the first handicap person to be hired at Lincoln Telephone & Telegraph. Helen proved to be an excellent and willing worker for 42 years. In 1949 she married
Shelton Norwood. They were married
for 60 years. In 1968 the company left Seward for Lincoln & the Norwood’s moved to Lincoln also. Helen was active in the Frank Woods Pioneer Association. She started making ‘goodie’ baskets and did many other projects which helped many people for many years. She also was founder of the Easter egg and Halloween events for the handicap. She was awarded the John Knox Johnston National Award and was responsible for getting Braille menus in restaurants and wrote a book, “Touched by the Hand of God.”
She was preceded in death by her parents. Helen is survived by her husband, Shelton; sisters, Harriet Norwood of Lincoln and Dorothy Sobotka & husband Duane of Richland, WA; five nieces & nephews and many other family members & friends.
Burial will be 9:30 am Monday at Seward cemetery in Seward, Ne followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 510 S. 33rd, Lincoln, NE with the Reverend. Mark Ebert officiating. Visitation will be from 9am – 9 pm Saturday & Sunday @ Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln.
Memorials are suggested to the Redeemer Lutheran Church towards the handicap van.

Eugenia Lynnette Waters, 32, of Lincoln passed away Wednesday, May 27th, 2009. She was born on December 6, 1976 in Sioux City, IA. Survivors include daughter, Hanan Waters; son Mohommed Waters & special friend, Ridha Al-Hilfy; father, Eugene Waters; sisters, Prudence Waters, Marla Nelson, Debra Gamel, Vicky Gamel & Karen Stanley; brothers, Mike Lewis, William Gamel, Chris Gamel & Tim Gamel; several Nieces, Nephews and close family friends. She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Mary Lou Waters and both sets of grandparents. Gina grew up in Table Rock, NE and graduated in 1994 from Table Rock-Steinauer High School. She had a care-free spirit and loved life. She was a very special aunt and friend to Desirae, Mariyah, Kiara and Azia. She touched the lives of many and will be missed dearly. Mary E. Young Age 94 of Lincoln died Monday (7-6-09)
Graduated from Adams High School in 1933. Married in 1934 to Merle Young, raised in the Baptist church, active in the Christian church, Douglas quilting group, accomplished quilter & seamstress, child care giver, good cook, housewife who gardened & canned.
She is survived by her daughters, Dolores Miles – Lincoln, Maggie Steele – Norfolk & Mary Farber – Lincoln; daughters-in-law, Linda Young – Douglas, NE & Patricia Young – Canton, OH; sons-in-law Dick Farber – Valley, NE & Phil Steele – Norfolk; brother, John Slot – York, NE; 17 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren with two more expected in 2009.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Merle; sons, William, Robert & James; infant children, Ralph & Victoria; son-in-law John Miles; brother, Ralph; sisters, Ethel & Fern.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Friday at Capital City Christian Church, 7800 Holdrege with the Rev. Rusty Miller officiating. Donlan, Joyce Anne Taylor
Joyce Anne Taylor Donlan, 74 of Lincoln, NE. December 27, 1934 to July 10, 2009. Our mother was an amazing woman. She was an extremely loving mother and grandmother. She loved children and all God’s creations. Joyce was gifted with many talents and she shared them with everyone. If there was ever a person in need Joyce was there to help. She was a saint on earth.
She is a Lincoln High School Graduate, Undergraduate and Masters Degrees from the University of Nebraska in Human Development & the Family. UNL Chi Omega Sorority and Mortar Board, taught Home Economics at Walton and Eagle High Schools, taught Head Start. Taught for 20 years at the University of Nebraska Lincoln in Human Development and the Family and at Ruth Staples Child Development Lab. Retired from Bryan Hospital Child Development Center. Charter Member and Past Board Member of the Nebraska Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation. Past Board Member of the Hemophilia Federation of America. Lincoln Quilt Guild. East Campus Stars Extension Club. Doll Club, Teammates. Volunteer- Elliot Elementary School. Co- Founder Charlie Brown’s Kids. Former Volunteer Tabitha Hospice. Member First Plymouth Congregational UCC. Stephen’s Ministry. Notable Women of First Plymouth and First Plymouth Choir.

Marabel E. Vogel, 71, of Lincoln, died Thursday, August 20th in Lincoln. She was a secretary for several businesses including Capital Supply, she was also a former secretary/treasurer for the Southwest Volunteer Fire Dept., served on the Board of Directors for the Yankee Hill cemetery, president/treasurer of the Yankee Hill Neighborhood Assoc., Girl Scout Leader (Brownie’s – Cadet’s) and a member of the Women’s Club.
Marabel is survived by her brothers, Jerry Vogel & wife Mary of San Miguel, CA and Robert Vogel of Lincoln; sisters, Georgia Peterson of Tracy, CA, Kathryn Westwood of Lincoln, Donita Boyd & husband Rick of South Beach, OR, Barbara (BJ) Leavitt & husband George of Crete, NE and Rita Carman & husband Glen of Lincoln; 19 Nieces & Nephews; 14 Great Nieces & Nephews and many special friends.
