Roger was in the Air Force for 4 years between 1980-1984, stationed in Mountain Home Idaho. While in boot camp in Texas, he was a bass drummer in the Air Force Drum & Bugle Corps, which took many honors. One year he held the status of “Airman of the Year”. He recieved the Air Force Achievement medal and Training & Longevity ribbons.
Roger was a very accomplished mason, building stone porches, fountains/waterfalls, pillars and various cement work. He worked construction many years as a brick tender and bricklayer.
In 8th grade and high school, he was the head drummer for Stage and Concert Band. He also played football at Palmyra High School.
Roger was an avid music lover. He began his own business as a DJ at various engagements and the State Fair, playing the blues, his favorite music.
