passed away September 7, 2005
passed away Wednesday evening at the Ambassador Nursing Home with her family by her side and assisted by Tabitha Hospice.
Phyllis was a resident of Lincoln for 40 years.
She was born in Stromsburg Nebraska and spent many years in nearby Shelby Nebraska.
She retired from the housekeeping department at U.N.L. and volunteered at the Lincoln Senior Center in downtown Lincoln.
She was an avid Cornhusker fan and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church
Visitation: There will be no visitation, for her wishes were to have her body donated to the State Anatomical Board at the University Medical Center in Omaha.
Service: A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Shelby Nebraska

Paul Joseph "Joe" Gabig

Paul Joseph Gabig died after a long struggle with cancer on Tuesday October 18th, 2005. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1947 and came to Nebraska to pursue his life’s work as a waterfowl biologist in the central flyway. After decades of working with the State Game and Parks Commission he started his own wildlife and natural resource consulting business.
Visitation: Cremation. No visitation.
Service: Friday, October 21st, 2005 at 4:00 p.m.
Location: Pioneers Park at the columns; You are invited to bring your waterfowl calls.

Retired receptionist from the City of Lincoln, retired in 1981 from City Hall. Worked at Cornhusker Hotel and Elgin Watch Company. Gleanor is loved and will live in our hearts. We will miss our mother.
