Tom was born to Vincent and Helen (Zimola) Konecky. A devoted husband and fantastic father, Tom loved his faith, his family and farming the land his grandparents settled on after coming from Czechoslovakia. He was an active member of St. Wenceslaus church, serving in many various capacities throughout his lifetime. He devoted his life to improving the Guernsey breed, building a nationally renowned herd and serving the dairy industry in many leadership roles. He raised his children under the precepts of hard work, determination, respect, honesty and personal integrity, teaching that all the cattle got fed before the kids. He shared his leadership skills in many areas locally, regionally and nationally, including serving as a 4-H Leader for 50 years, District 44 School Board, Nebraska Dairy Council, Dairy Farmers of America board member, American Guernsey Cattle Club - national director, and the Knights of Columbus.

Michael was born to Joseph and Georgia (Palat) Svara. He lived in Omaha, Cedar Bluffs and Colon while growing up. He attended school in Omaha and Cedar Bluffs. Michael married Patricia Styskal on Sept. 24, 1966 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Weston, NE. They lived in Colon for many years until moving to Wahoo. During this time, Michael worked as a forklift operator at Hellstar Corporation in Wahoo and later as a forklift and saw operator for Six-B Manufacturing in Wahoo. Because of health reasons, he retired four years ago. Michael was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Colon and a member of the NRA.

Helen was born to Joseph and Rose (Buresh) Tichy. She grew up in Dwight and attended school there. On February 7, 1950, Helen was united in marriage to George Mach of Weston, NE. They resided on a farm near Weston for 19 years. In 1969, George and Helen moved to Wahoo. Helen
worked as a cook at the Saunders County Hospital for 14 years. George died on Aug. 15, 1971, 37 years to the day before Helen. Helen had been a resident the last 4 years at Lancaster Manor where she attended mass, played bingo and crocheted doilies. She was a parishioner at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo.

Pamela was born to Patrick D. Sr. and Erma A. (Pillard) Nelson. She grew up in Lincoln and attended St. Teresa’s elementary school through the ninth grade. Pam graduated from Lincoln Public High School in 1968. In the late 1970s, she went back to school and became a certified nursing assistant. She lived and worked in Omaha for many years. She married Dennis Brabec on Aug. 22, 1992, in Wahoo. They made their home on a farm near Colon. She worked at a number of jobs in the Wahoo area and most recently worked in the kitchen at the Bishop Neumann High School cafeteria. She was a parishioner at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, a past president of the P.C.C.W. and served on the District 70 school board.
Survived by: her husband; a son, Eric (and wife, Shannon) (King) Gewecke of Columbus; daughters, Cheryl Gewecke of Denver and Kate Brabec of Colon; siblings, Penny (and husband, Jack) Boyle of Shawnee, Kan., and Patrick D. Nelson II of Tucson, Ariz.; parents-in-law, Tony and Helen Brabec of Wahoo; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Betty Brabec of Colon and Algene and Dan Mueller of Fremont; and two grandchildren.
