Dr. George W. Pugsley
05/21/1937 - 11/26/2004

Dr. George W. Pugsley, 67, of Scottsbluff died Friday, November 26, 2004 at Heritage Health Care Center in Gering. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

George was born May 21, 1937 in Omaha, NE to George W. and Hazel (Bigelow) Pugsley. He grew up in Bayard and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1956. He attended Chadron State College for a year before enlisting in the US Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he attended the University of Nebraska where he received his dental degree. He opened his dental practice in Scottsbluff and retired July 24, 2003 due to ill health.

He married Delight Arnold August 31, 1975 in Scottsbluff.
George was a member of Holy Apostles Church of Mitchell, Arid Acres, and the Nebraska Dental Association.

He is survived by his wife Delight; daughter, Lynn Pugsley, of Omaha, NE, Brother: Dennis Pugsley of Ash Fork, AZ; and brothers-in-law: J. T. Arnold and Mick Lehl both of Scottsbluff and Rick Lehl of Gering, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials have been established to the Dr. George W. Pugsley Memorial Flag Ple Fund or to the Holy Apostles Church in Mitchell.

Frances L. Lindblom
03/24/1923 - 11/28/2004

Frances L. Lindblom, 81 formerly of Scottsbluff died Sunday, November 28, 2004 at a Broomall Nursing Home in Broomall, PA.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.

Frances was born on March 24, 1923 in Red Cloud, Nebraska to Guy and Mable (Waggoner) Roberts. She married Leroy W. Lindblom on September 15, 1942 at Geneva, Nebraska

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Patty and Robert Patrizio and Sandra and Jim Ehler; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and sister and brother-in-law Bonna and Bob Bender and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leroy, brothers Ray Roberts, Kenneth Roberts and sister Viola Bruns.

Visitation: Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel
One hour prior of service at the chapel.

Audrey Shafer
02/09/1922 - 12/5/2004

Audrey Shafer, 82, of Morrill, died Sunday, December 5, 2004 at Beverly Health Care in Scottsbluff. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park. Service times and a full obituary will be ran at a later date. Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel of Scottsbluff is in charge of arrangements
A memorial has been established to the Gering Calvary Memorial Evangelical Free Church.

Joan A. Donley
05/29/1916 - 12/8/2004

Joan A. Donley of Grand Island, Nebraska died Wednesday, December 08, 2004 at Heritage Health Care Center in Gering, NE.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. At her request, she was cremated.

Joan was born on May 29, 1916 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of John H. and Emilie (Schellenberg) Bicknell. She graduated from Sidney High School and attended Nebraska Teacher’s College in Lincoln, Nebraska. She taught at Hay Springs, Nebraska high school from 1936-1938.

She was united in marriage to Harold Donley on May 25, 1938 in Lincoln, Nebraska. After which the couple lived in North Platte, Nebraska.
Joan was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Charter Head of Chapter G.P.-P.E.O. She served on the P.E.O. Home Board for 10 years, Lutheran Memorial Hospital Board for several years and belonged to a Tuesday Book Club. She loved to play Bridge.

Survivors include her daughter Patricia and husband Howard Hale of Minatare; grandchildren Rebecca and Patrick Arndt, Brian Hale and Shannon Marshall; eleven great grandchildren and twin sister Julia Mayes of Waterloo, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.

Memorials are suggested to the Plymouth Congregational Church in Scottsbluff.

Emily Jane Hall
09/16/1919 - 12/10/2004

Emily Jane Hall, 85, of Scottsbluff passed away Friday, December 10, 20004 at the Western Nebraska Veteran’s Home. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 23, 2004 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be held in Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff.
Emily Jane Hall was born September 16, 1919 in Scottsbluff, NE to Livingston “Lee” and Cornelia “Nell” (Hites) Gibbons. She attended Scottsbluff schools and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1937. She also attended Scottsbluff Junior College. On September 1, 1940 she was married to Carroll M. Cushing in Scottsbluff. While Mr. Cushing served in the US Army, she served in the US Navy Waves during WW II. Her first husband passed away in 1955. On February 22, 1957 Jane married Jay Hall, Jr. in Kimball, NE. He passed away in 1984.
Jane was very proud of her service to her country and was recognized as one of the few women veterans at the Veteran’s Home in Scottsbluff. Jane spent many years as the manager of Yost’s Hallmark Shop in Scottsbluff. Her passion was reading, but she also loved to crochet and knit, making beautiful afghans and tablecloths. She had resided at the Western Nebraska Veteran’s Home in Scottsbluff since 1996.
Jane is survived by three sons, William “Bill” Cushing and his wife Mary of Pine Bluffs, WY, Charles Hall and his wife Shelley of Scottsbluff, Jeff Cushing also of Scottsbluff, and daughter, Carole Jane Grady and husband James of Sutton, NE, two sisters, Patricia Anloff of Carmel, CA and Elaine Mathers of Ashland, VA, 6 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three nephews and one niece.
She was preceded in death by, her parents, two sisters, Genevieve and Helen in childhood, her first husband, Carroll, her second husband, Jay and an infant granddaughter, Karen Grady.
Memorials to Western Nebraska Veteran's Home or to Prairie Haven Hospice.

Orsen Lynn Roth
07/24/1949 - 12/12/2004
Orsen Lynn Roth, 55, of Gering, died Sunday, December 12, 2004 at his home. Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2004 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Nuss-Warren officiating. Interment will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 15, 2004 at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.
Orsen was born July 24, 1949 in Eureka, SD to Emil and Esther (Ehman) Roth. He graduated from Lead, South Dakota High School and attended one year of college in Washington and a half year in Spearfish, SD. He entered the Army September 9, 1969, serving in Vietnam, before being honorably discharged March 10, 1971. He married Judith Buxbaum February 14, 2003 in Kimball, NE. While living in the Scottsbluff-Gering area Orsen was a plumber at Independent Plumbing and Heating before ill health forced his retirement.
He is survived by, his wife: Judy, mother: Esther Roth of Lead, SD, brothers: Perry Roth and Lanny Roth both of Lead, SD, sons: Christian Roth and Marcus Roth and daughters: Vanessa Roth and Alicia Robertson all of Washington; stepdaughter: Melody Eastgate of Fort Carson, CO; stepson: Jeremiah Warren of Kearney, NE and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one sister.

Edgar "Eddie" Charles Hays
05/27/1943 - 1/12/2005
Edgar “Eddie” Charles Hays, 61, of Lyman, died Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2005 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Al Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Eddie was born May 27, 1943 in Eyota, MN to Warren and Martha Louise (Love) Hays. He came with his family to Western Nebraska at an early age and received his education in Gothenburg, NE. He was a heavy equipment operator all of his life working for various road construction crews in Wyoming and Nebraska. He married Ruth Morrissey July 25, 1975 in North Platte, NE. They moved to Wyoming in 1976 and to Lyman, NE in 1997. Eddie loved to hunt coyotes with greyhounds and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Ruth; children: Tucker A. Hays and Aaron Hays both of the home, daughter and son-in-law: Sandy and Chris Brannan of Scottsbluff, Tammy Sue Hays and Eddie Warren Hays; adopted daughter: Quimbe Ricklefs of Phoenix, AZ; 2 grandchildren: Tristen and Cloe Brannan of Scottsbluff; brothers: Bob Hays of Bock, MN
James Hayes of Hastings, NE and Doug Hays of Preston, MN; sisters: Donna Hahn of Winona, MN, Barbara Stringham of Grand Island, NE, Cheryl Dowty of Aurora, NE and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents, infant daughter Linda, and two brothers Richard and Leonard preceded him in death.
Visitation: Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel
Friday, January 14, 2004 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Lottie Hendricksen

Lottie Hendricksen, 75, of Scottsbluff, died Thursday, January 13, 2005 at her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at First Christian Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Michael Stein officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Lottie was born January 10, 1930 in Norfolk, NE to Floyd and May Alice (Gallup) Case. She attended school in Scottsbluff and graduated from Scottsbluff High School. She married Donald Eugene Douglas January 15, 1947 in Scottsbluff. She was a waitress at Hanley’s Best Café, the King Fong and for George Chinn at the Stable Club. She was a bookkeeper for Harry Bingham at Budweiser Distributing, which later became High Plains Budweiser retiring in 1995. She married Harold Hendrickson, August 7, 1972 in Rapid City, S.D. Lottie enjoyed traveling and gambling and spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughters.
Lottie was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughter: Bonnie (John) Brehm of Scottsbluff; grandsons: John (Keli) Brehm, Troy (Jennie) Brehm and Scott (Keri) Brehm all of Scottsbluff; granddaughter: Melissa (Daniel) Villarreal, Scottsbluff; great granddaughters: Christina and Savannah Villarreal and Aubrie and Shelbie Brehm all of Scottsbluff; sister: Grace Worrell of Scottsbluff; uncle: Fred Barnes of Minneapolis, MN as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Hendricksen, parents, brothers: Kenneth Williams and Lyle Williams, sister: Viola Barrett and nephew Bobby Williams.

Richard Dale Greathouse
2/18/1937 - 1/18/2005
Richard Dale Greathouse, 67, of Banner County, died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2005 at Calvary Memorial Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Brad Kihlthau and Dr. Charles Bonds officiating. Interment will be in Chaulk Creek Cemetery in Banner County.
Richard was born February 18, 1937 in Scottsbluff, NE to Dale D. and Ruby (Muhr) Greathouse. He graduated from Banner County High School in 1955 and attended University of Northern Colorado where he received his bachelor’s degree in History Education, Industrial Arts, and Physical Education. He also participated in track and was a member of the C Club and Theta XI Fraternity. He taught school in Pine Bluffs, WY, Fleming, CO, Ponca, NE, Minatare, NE and Cedar Canyon. Richard returned to Harrisburg in 1965 where he farmed. Richard married Happy Veriossa Whipple, December 22, 1957 in Scottsbluff.
Richard was a member of Calvary Memorial Evangelical Free Church, Lion’s Club, 4H leader, FFA Chapter Father, Pork Producers, National Farm Organization and the Nebraska Cattleman’s Association.
Richard is survived by his wife; Happy; daughters and sons-in-law: Heidi and Mark Madigan of Salt Lake City, Utah, Jill and Jeff Kulp, Callaway, NE, Melody and John Hiebert, Tuttle, OK, Trina Greathouse of Tuttle, OK, Amber and Thomas Koles of Omaha, NE, and Mandie and Richard Larson of McGrew, NE; sister and brother-in-law: Judy and Tom Keller of Gering, NE; brothers and sister-in-law: Ross and Caryl Greathouse and David Greathouse all of Lincoln, NE; stepmother: Alberta Greathouse of Scottsbluff, NE; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
His parents and sister-in-law: Val Jean Whipple Feil preceded him in death.
