Wilma "Billie" Deines
Wilma "Billie" Deines, 90, of Grand Island died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Private family services will be Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Burial of ashes will be in the Grand Island Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Deines was born icon Nov. 21, 1917, at Clay Center to Fred and Myrtle (Jones) Mock.

Her husband, "Nay" Norval Deines, preceded her in death.

Survivors of the immediate family include a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Pat Deines of Grand Island, and a daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Rocky Prorock of Grand Island.

Those also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Debbie and Shawn Pollock, David and Kelli Deines, Staci Prorock and Michelle and J. Cannella, and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ardyth Iola Mock, and a brother, Leo Donald Mock.

Billie attended country school through the eighth grade and graduated from Clay Center High School in 1934. She attended Lincoln School of Commerce. She was united in marriage to "Nay" Norval Deines on Dec. 1, 1942. They came to Grand Island when Nay worked as a radio announcer with KMMJ Radio and the station moved from Clay Center to Grand Island. Billie was employed for 12 years at First National Bank and one and a half years for George Cowton. She retired to take care of her family.

Billie enjoyed all sports. Her greatest treasures were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and spending time with her entire family.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

John A Isaksen
John A. Isaksen, 72, of Grand Island, died Friday January 25, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home. Mr. Isaksen was cremated.

John was born icon May 9, 1935 at Chicago, Illinois the son of John and Irma (Lanners) Isaksen.

Survivors are the love of his life, Gin Jacobsen of Grand Island, Gins family, Rhonda and Rhett Wagner and their daughter Meghan of Prescott, AZ, David Hormann and his daughter Lacy of Prescott, AZ, Perry and Michelle Hormann and their children P.J., Raimey and Braylie of Queen Creek, AZ and he is survived by his beloved dog Logan.

His father, mother who he took wonderful care of, his uncles, Theo, Vincent and Bert Lanners and Gin’s granddaughter Courtney Wagner preceded him in death.

John was raised and received his education in Chicago. He served his country in the United States Army from 1957-1963. Following the military he returned to Chicago. He has lived in Grand Island for the past 20 years.

He was a member of the Eagles and was baptized in the Lutheran faith. He had a great love for fishing, golfing, traveling and spending time with his dog Logan.

Memorials are suggested to the United Congregational Church.

Marvelle L. Laursen
Marvelle I. Laursen, 89, of Grand Island died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Gollaher Chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jay Vetter will officiate. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Mrs. Laursen was born icon Nov. 17, 1918, at Edger to Earnest and Ebba (Roos) Erickson.

Her husband, Ervie Laursen, preceded her in death in 1992.

Survivors of the immediate family include a daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Mike Gray of Grand Island; and a sister-in-law, Naomi Erickson of Grand Island.

Other survivors are her grandsons, Joey and James Gray; and her many friends.

In addition to her husband, her brothers, Dean, Hubert and Archie Erickson, and a niece Janie Davis, preceded her in death.

Marvelle moved to Grand Island during the depression in 1932. She graduated from Grand Island Senior High. On March 1, 1942, she was united in marriage to Ervie Laursen. They lived in Houston, while Ervie served in the Air Force, moving to Wood River and then Grand Island. She worked in the canteen at the Veterans Hospital, was an Avon representative for 14 years and worked at K-Mart for seven years and babysat.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Danish Sisterhood.

Memorials are suggested to the Overland Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America or Trinity United Methodist Church.

Clyde Dean Molt
Clyde Dean Molt, 73, of Grand Island died Friday, April 11, 2008, at Wedgewood Care Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island. The Rev. Vince Parsons will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Island Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour before services.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Molt.

Mr. Molt was born icon Oct. 18, 1934, at Spalding to Clyde and Pearl Molt.

Survivors of the immediate family include four sons and three daughters-in-law, David Molt of Grand Island, Kevin and Korina Molt of Cedar Rapids, Randy and Jennifer Molt and Chris and Misti Molt, all of Grand Island; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Pam and David Niemann of St. Edward, Rhonda and Bob Bass of Kingman, Ariz., and Dena Enck of Grand Island; a stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Marcia and Jay Lee of Grand Island; a stepson, Tony Partridge of Lexington, N.C.; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Anna Mae Feik of Spalding and Vivian and Ted Walford of Grand Island.

Other survivors are 20 grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Wheeler and a brother, Richard Molt.

Mr. Molt was raised and received his education at Spalding, where he graduated from high school. He married Mary Jane Ewers in 1978. He was employed by Nash Finch, Berkley Pump, the Veterans Home and St. Francis Medical Center.

Clyde is a member of the Eagles, he enjoyed playing cards, fishing, going to auctions and Nebraska football.

Jeffrey R. Rosacker
Jeffrey R. Rosacker, 21, of Grand Island died Friday May 2, 2008.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. The Revs. Randy Fett and William Pavuk will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Island City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Mr. Rosacker was born icon Dec. 16, 1986, at Grand Island to Gary and Linda (Hayworth) Rosacker.

Survivors of the immediate family include his parents of Grand Island; and one brother, Christopher Rosacker of Lincoln.

Also surviving are grandparents, Ronald and Jerane Hayworth of Anthon, Iowa; and stepgrandmother, Esther Rosacker of Wood River.

Those also left to cherish his memory are many friends, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins, including Greg and Beth Hayworth and their children, Jenni Hayworth Landry and Joel Hayworth, Stacy and Craig Groff, David and Melissa Rosacker and their children, Emily Buhr and Sarah Borhart, Jeannie and Ron Crumly and their children, Elizabeth Bloomfield and Allison Heiss and Nancy and Keith White and their daughter, Jennifer Carnine.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Warren and Shirley Rosacker.

Jeff attended Seedling Mile, Barr Middle School and graduated with the Grand Island Senior High Class of 2005. While in high school, he was a member of the Ultimate Image Show Choir and played high school baseball and Legion baseball.

He loved baseball, vocal music, four-wheeling, traveling, skiing, video games, golfing, disk golfing and spending time with family and friends. He was attending Lincoln Southeast Community College. His memory will be treasured by many.

A memorial fund will be established in his name.

Mattie Rose Soukop
Mattie Rose Soukop, 78, of Grand Island died April 2, 2008.

Burial of her ashes will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery at Superior.

All Faiths Funeral Home of Grand Island is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Soukop was born icon May 30, 1929, at Arcadia to Harry and Veda Babel Delano.

Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Lloyd Soukop of Grand Island; a brother, Calvin Delano of Israel; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Babel of Wood River and Shirley Babel of Aurora.

Arnold F. "Pete" Vieth
Arnold F. "Pete" Vieth, 80, of Grand Island died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at Tiffany Square Center in Grand Island.

Arnold F. "Pete" Vieth, 80, of Grand Island died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at Tiffany Square Center in Grand Island.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island. The Rev. Vince Parsons will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at All Faiths Funeral Home, with a parish rosary at 7.

Mr. Vieth was born icon May 1, 1927, on a farm in Merrick County to Henry and Clara (Bove) Vieth.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Irene; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Maxine Vieth, Allan and Karen Vieth, Tom and Donita Vieth, all of Grand Island; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Bonnie Sloan of Grand Island, Shirley and Tom Kaslon of Ashton, Linda and Ray Schachta of Ashton and Susan and Todd Kamler of Kearney; a brother, Robert Vieth of Grand Island; and a sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Harold Luebbe of Grand Island.

Other survivors include grandchildren, Jason Vieth, Bradley Vieth, Brian Kaslon, Amy Brandenburg, Misty Havlovic, Travis Kaslon, Kevin Sloan, Steve Sloan, Lori Arterburn, Eric Vieth, Kayla Schachta, Holly Schachta, Ryan Schachta, Michael Kamler, Ashley Kamler, Paul Vieth and John Vieth, and three great-grandchildren.

His parents, an infant sister and a sister, Caroline Stolle, preceded him in death.

Pete was raised on a farm near Grand Island, receiving his education at District 17 School in Merrick County. He farmed with his father until his brother returned from the military. He was united in marriage to Irene Michalski on July 24, 1950. He continued to farm and then worked for Bader Garage and New Holland until his retirement in 1989.

He is a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, where he served as an usher. Pete loved polka music and polka dances. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed visiting with his children, grandchildren and friends.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Francis Hospice or donor's choice.

Joyce E. Werner
Joyce E. Werner, 60, of Grand Island died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Jones will officiate. Burial of ashes will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Werner was born icon July 5, 1947, at Grand Island to Dwayne and Louise (Barger) Hayes.

Survivors of the immediate family include a son, Dan Werner of Grand Island; a daughter, Tonya Dean of Lincoln; her mother of Grand Island; and a sister, Mary Sargent of Phoenix.

Other survivors include four grandchildren, Jacob, Paden, Ian and Camden.

In addition to her husband, who died July 4, 2007, she was preceded in death by her father and an infant brother.

Joyce was raised in Grand Island and graduated from GISH, Class of 1966.

She was united in marriage to Garry L. Werner on Dec. 24, 1966, in Grand Island, where they lived following their marriage. She was employed by Dreisbach's for 25 years and was also employed by McCain Foods. Joyce enjoyed scrapbooking and working on her computer.
