Donald G. Molle

Donald G. Molle, 82, of Grand Island died Saturday May 12, 2012, at home with family by his side.

Services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 17, 2012 at All Faiths Funeral Home with Chaplain Steve Shanno officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.

All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.

Survivors of the immediate family include his loving, caring, and faithful wife of 60 years, Elsie, his loving daughter and son-in-law Carla and Richard Wolfe of Grand Island, special granddaughters Erika Wolfe and Taryn Wolfe of Grand Island, his special and only brother Robert Molle of Phillips, Nebraska, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Don was born icon February 10, 1930, at Columbus, Nebraska, to Rev. Elmer and Ethel (Able) Molle. His family lived in various communities before moving to Lodgepole, Nebraska, where he graduated from Lodgepole High School.

Don married his high school sweetheart, Elsie Richards on June 1, 1951 at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Lodgepole, officiated by Don’s father Rev. Elmer Molle. They lived in Chappell, Nebraska for 25 years, except for two years in the military. While in the military, they lived at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia, and Camp Stewart in Hinesville, Georgia. During this time their daughter, Carla, was born. After the service he rejoined his brother in the building business in Chappell. In 1976, Don and Elsie moved to Grand Island, Nebraska, to rejoin his brother in the remodeling business. He retired at the age of 64 because of poor health.

Don was a big Nebraska Husker and Denver Bronco football fan. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, dancing, and trips to the Colorado Mountains. He also enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and attending their activities as well as playing cards with them, with Taryn stating he was a horrible pitch partner.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Elmer and Ethel Molle, a sister and brother-in-law Virginia and Walter Pounds, and a niece.

The family requests memorials are to be given to St. Francis Hospice or St. Francis Cancer Center in lieu of flowers.

Robyn Carol Morrow

Robyn Carol Morrow, 57, of Grand Island, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center with her family at her side, after losing her battle with cancer.

Celebration of life service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, in All Faiths Funeral Home Chapel.

Gathering of family and friends will be an hour prior to service time.

Robyn was born icon March 3, 1955, in Grand Island, the daughter of Robert and Donna (Boren) Davidson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Jesse Morrow and his special friend, Lindy, and Connor Slattery and Tyler Morrow, all of Grand Island; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ric (Cindy) Downing of Asahka Idaho and Michael (Norma) Davidson of McLean, Virginia; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan (Bob) Sandoval and Lori (Kent) Boughton, all of Grand Island.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry Morrow on December 10, 2004; triplet sons, Robert, John, and Patrick; grandparents, Harold and Margaret Schlund and Uncle Edmund Schlund.

Robyn attended Dodge Elementary School and Barr Junior High. The family moved to Pueblo, Colorado, where Robyn attended South High School. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Larry G. Morrow of Scotia, in Cairo, NE. After Larry’s death in 2004, she moved to Bradenton, Florida, to be with her sons. There she was employed by Pinnacle Medical Group. She loved her co-workers and all of the patients she took care of. She worked until diagnosed with Lung/Brain cancer.

Robyn loved the Gulf Coast and all it had to offer, especially the sandy white beaches. Robyn traveled the world in the many books she loved to read. She was a child of the 60’s and 70’s and lived as a free spirit all of her life. She loved animals and took great joy in Florida’s wildlife. Her greatest joy and dedication was raising her two sons. She returned to Nebraska in July of 2011.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Lucille Muller

Lucille Muller, 92 of Grand Island, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Reverend Donna Carpenter will officiate.

Visitation will be from 5 to7 p.m. Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Lucille was born icon September 10, 1919 at Grand Island, NE the daughter of Albert and Edna (Detamore) Linden.

She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Jan and Gene Penrose of Grand Island; two grandchildren, Mike (Kim) Penrose of Grand Island and Kelli Penrose, of St. Cloud, MN; and two great grandchildren, Skylar and Taylor Penrose.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louie; her parents; and two brothers, Hubert and Elmer Linden.

Lucille grew up on a farm in the Giltner area and graduated from Giltner High School with the class of 1937. She married her husband Louie at Omaha on March 24, 1942. They made their home on the farm near Chapman.

She was a member of the Chapman United Methodist Church, the Sunshine Extension Club, and the United Methodist Women. Lucille also enjoyed playing cards, husker football, and the fellowship of her church. She was also very fond of her memories growing up on the farm.

Memorials may be made to the Chapman United Methodist Church.

Donald 'Don' Nauss

Donald ‘Don’ Nauss, 56, of Dannebrog, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012 after a short illness.

To honor Don’s wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 5th at All Faiths Funeral Home. Michael Koenig will officiate.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.

Don is survived by his wife, Deni and his four children and their families.

Don came to Nebraska to make a difference in the lives of the elderly by taking the Director of Nursing position at Tiffany Square.

A memorial fund will be established in Don’s name.

Imogene L. Nearhood

Imogene L. Nearhood, 90 of Grand Island, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center.

Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Matthew Fowler will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nearhood was born icon February 27, 1922 at Grand Island the daughter of William and Genevieve (Linder) Pracht.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dean; son, Brian; infant son, Harold Dean; brothers, Bill, Ethan and Cecil and sister, Mary.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Sherry Nearhood of Chapman; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Jerry Studnicka of Loup City; and daughter-in-law, Grace Nearhood of Wood River and sister, Geraldine Snell of Central City.

Imogene graduated from Grand Island Senior High, class of 1940. She worked at Bills Trading Post and Ehlers Grocery Store. On December 13, 1942 she was united in marriage to Dean H. Nearhood. The couple made their home in Grand Island where Imogene worked at Nash Finch and Jack and Jill Stores where she retired after 21 years of service in 1984.

Imogene made many friends with her smile and kind ways. She enjoyed her visits with friends and family. She is a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Imogene also enjoyed crafts, fishing and gardening.

Memorials are suggested to Faith United Methodist Church.

Bruce B. Noble

Bruce B. Noble, 63, of Grand Island, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.

Service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 23 at All Faiths Funeral Home. The Reverend Lonnie Logan will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Bruce was born icon on May 9, 1948 at Lexington, NE, the son of Marcus “Ed” and Lena (Schwarz) Noble.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sherryl; his sons, Troy Olsen of Mission, KS and Bruce A. Noble of Hastings.

Those also left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Leo and Elaine Noble of Potter, NE and Milford and Gerry Noble of Elwood, NE; and sisters, Noreen Bownes and her significant other, Dan Cox of Omaha, and Sheron and Duane Lenning of Peyton, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his Parents; sesters, Delores Bihlmaier and Rosemary Brown; and a step-daughter, Kimberly Olsen.

He grew up in Lexington where he received his education up to the 11 th grade. His family moved to Wahoo, NE where he graduated High School in 1967. Bruce joined the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and served from April 10, 1967 to May 23, 1970. He worked as a painter in Grand Island for 15 years, later working as an Environmental Management Specialist at the V.A. Hospital in Grand Island until his retirement.

Bruce was an avid leather worker and enjoyed to play cards with friends, going fishing and camping with family. He also loved to dance to Mike Niclolen and the Lost Sidemen.

He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Legion.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Merton 'Mert' Norton

Merton ‘Mert’ Norton, 84, of Grand Island died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Grand Island Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center with his family by his side.

Celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 5th at the Evangelical Free Church. Reverend Gary Schulte will officiate. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in the Grand Island Cemetery.

Family will be greeting friends prior to service and following during a gathering at the church. All Faiths Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Norton was born icon June 13, 1928 at Malvern, Iowa, the son of Dennis and Mildred (Scott) Norton.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Lisa Norton of Grand Island; daughters, Regina Norton of Washington Grove, Maryland, Sandy Johnson of Grand Island and Amy Norton of Grand Island; and sister, Frances Stall of Denver, Colorado.

Those also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren, Kayla Casares, Samantha Norton and Max Findling and great-granddaughter Lexi Norton and many grand dogs and cats.

His parents; sisters, Mabel Clevenstein and Mildred Becker and infant son, Lawrence Norton preceded him in death.

Mert was raised at Malvern, IA until the age of 13 when he moved to Bellevue, NE where he graduated from Bellevue High School, class of 1947. He entered the United States Air Force on July 16, 1951 serving during the Korean War era. He was honorably discharged on March 20, 1953.

He was united in marriage to Betty Bates on August 15, 1948. They lived in Bellevue before he entered the Air Force. They then lived in Omaha, Lincoln and made Grand Island their home in 1967.

Mert was employed by the John Day Supply Co. in Omaha from 1947-1955. He did home construction in the Lincoln area from 1955-1966. In Grand Island he worked for Geer Mobil Homes from 1966-1979; did building construction until 1990 and retired from the Grand Island Public School System in 1995. Following retirement Mert worked for Telephone Systems of America.

He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church and Grand Island Sertoma Club. He enjoyed camping, fishing, working on projects, bird watching, Husker Football and his many travels. He loved spending time socializing with friends and loved his family.

Memorials are suggested to Evangelical Free Church or Grand Island Veterans’ Hospital.

Mary Ann O'Hare

Mary Ann O’Hare, 76, of Grand Island, died Saturday, February 4, 2012, at St. Francis Skilled Care, with her family at her side.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 10 at St. Leo’s Catholic Church. The Reverends Charles Torpey and James O’Kane will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, with a Vigil service starting at 7 p.m.

All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.

Mary was born icon December 30, 1945, at Palmer, NE, the daughter of William Francis and Patricia Evelyn (O’Hern) O’Hare. She grew up on the family farm near Palmer, graduating from Palmer High School in 1954. After graduation she attended Grand Island Beauty School. Mary was the owner and operator of the Shear Edge in Grand Island. She was a hairdresser in Grand Island for over 55 years.

A longtime member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church, St. Leo’s Bible Study and was also active in the St. Leo’s Ladies.

Those left to cherish her memory include sister and brother in law, Theresa and Joe Sis of Lincoln; sisters-in-law, Beulah O’Hare of Columbus, Betty O’Hare of Grand Island, and Grace O’Hare of Sioux City, IA.

She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and five brothers, Gerald, Bernard, William, Joe and Patrick O’Hare; and one sister in law, Agnes O’Hare.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family or to St. Leo’s Catholic Church.
