Member: United Lutheran Church.

Service: Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday (9-18-10) United Lutheran Church, 5945 Fremont. Pastor Myron Meyer and Rev. Dr. Daniel K. Schroeder officiating. Max disliked dressing up, so please come in casual clothing.

Harold A. Wulf

91, Lincoln, died Wednesday (9-15-10). Born (4-22-19) in Lost Nation, Iowa to Arnold and LaVancha (Leinbaugh) Wulf. Attended Milford Trade School. Worked at National Manufacturing Company, Machinist/Instructor/Program Supervisor, Southeast Community College. WWII Air Force Veteran. Member: American Legion Post #3, First Presbyterian Church, Throughout his life, Harold was very active in the following: Square Dance Club, YMCA Indian Guides, Neighborhood Watch, Cotner Lodge 297, A.F. & A.M.(60 year member), Scottish Rite 32, Past Worthy Patron O.E.S. 276, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Lincoln Snipe Club, Boy Scouts, volunteered at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospice and planting trees at Fort Robinson. Harold loved fishing, sailing, and hunting and travel. He was a devoted husband and family man who truly cared about people, loved a good joke and was extremely talented. His many friends and family will miss him much.

Service: Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday (9-18-10) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Andrew Byma, officiating.

Preceded in death by sister, Norma Bloore, brothers – Lowell, Bruce and Gordon Wulf, son-in-law, Cliff Thege.

Margaret Mary Stork

94, Lincoln, died Friday (9-17-10). Born (5-26-16) in to John and Lucille (Capretez) Thelen. Homemaker. Member: Cathedral of the Risen Christ. Margaret was a member of the Catherdral of the Risen Christ involved with altar society and had a noon holy hour on Wednesdays. She volunteered at St. Elizabeth’s gift shop and Sheridan school. She was able to live in her home until she died thanks to Jesy, Greg, Emily and Lindsey. Margaret’s house was always filled with family. All family gatherings were held there. It shall always be called home to those who shared memories here.

Visitation: Rosary: 7:30 p.m. Sunday (9-19-10) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Family will greet friends from 6:00-7:30PM at Roper and Sons Funeral Home.

Service: Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday (9-20-10) Cathedral of the Risen Christ, 3500 Sheridan Blvd. Burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Omaha, Nebraska.

Kenneth Pettigrew

Kenneth Lloyd Pettigrew,68, Bennet, NE died Friday September 17, 2010 in Milford Lake, Kansas while on a camping trip. Born March 26, 1942 in Bennet, Nebraska to Lloyd and Edna (Bogema) Pettigrew. Graduated from Technical High School in Omaha, Nebraska in 1959. Enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and spent the next 10 years serving his country. Served in Vietnam 1966 to 1967. married Sandra Easterbrook on November 27, 1965 in Arlington, Virginia where they lived until 1978 when they returned to reside on an acreage in Bennet, Nebraska. Kenny and Sandy were blessed with two children and six grandchildren. Worked many years as an over the road tractor trailer owner and operator and retired from Crete Carrier Corporation. After retirement, he continued to keep busy working other miscellaneous part time truck driving positions. Active in American Legion Post 280 Bennet. Enjoyed classic pickups, camping, cooking and his buddies at the Bennet Corner Stop.

Visitation: Visitation from 5:00-7:00PM Monday September 20, 2010 with family present at Roper and Sons Waverly Chapel 10851 N. 148th Street.

Service: Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Tuesday September 21, 2010 at Bennet Community Church, 550 Monroe St. Bennet. Pastor Darin Corder officiating. Interment Bennet Cemetery with full military rites by American Legion Post 280 Bennet

Memorials: Memorials may be given to the family for future designation.

Family members included: wife Sandy, Bennet; daughter Debbie (Kevin) Schuelke, Greenwood; son Kenny (Lacie) Pettigrew, Bennet; grandchildren Kensley, Bailey, Logan, Morgan Schuelke, Trevin and Austin Pettigrew; sisters Ruth (Jerry) Jones, Omaha; Beverly (Clinton) Pierce, Ainsworth, IA; nieces, nephews and his big black dog Ty. Preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Edna Pettigrew.

92, Lincoln , died Friday (9-17-10). Born (4-28-18) in Seward County , Nebraska to Harry R. and Florence A. (Michel) Minzel. Farmer's Wife Member: United Lutheran Church , V.F.W. Post 131 and American Legion Auxiliaries, L.C.W. Lutheran Church Ladies Aide Society, Lutheran Brotherhood and Independant Order of Foresters.

Preceded in death by her husband Clifford, one infant great grandson, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Harvey and Irene Horstman, Alberta and Arnold Beckman.

Marie Furman Frey

88, passed away September 17, 2010, at the Monarch in Lincoln, Nebraska. Marie was born icon July 12, 1922, in Marsland, Nebraska to Willis B. and Martha (Hoffman) Furman. She was the wife of the late John H. Frey and mother of JoAnn (Bob Hedges) of Oakland, California, Joy Baack of Lincoln, John O. (Marta) Frey of Lincoln, and Jane (Thomas Oliver) of Bridgeport, Nebraska.

Visitation: Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, September 22, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the Carriage Glen Community Room, 7005 Shamrock Road, Lincoln.

Service: A private graveside service will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park. Arrangements are being handled by Roper and Sons Cremation/no visitation.

Her grandchildren are Robb Hedges, Sarah Hedge Adams, Blaine Kinnan, Casey Kinnan, Emily Kinnan Berner, Christopher Frey, Carrie Frey Rinne, Catie Frey, Hilary Oliver and Whitney Oliver. Great grandchildren are Madeleine Berner, Natalie Berner and Harper Kinnan.
Nieces and nephews are Nanette Furman Rozanski, William Zalman, Jr., Jean Zalman Benson, and Cathie Speedlin Hilyard.
Marie was a wonderful homemaker and community volunteer serving in Scottsbluff and Lincoln. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, active in PEO Chapter EE, Eastern Star, PTA, Meals on Wheels and was a past president of the Nebraska American Mother’s Association.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband John H. Frey, parents Willis and Martha Furman, brother Willis B. Furman, Jr.
The Frey family would like to express special thanks to the staff at the Monarch and St. Elizabeth’s Hospice for the tender care they gave our mother. We appreciate it more than words can express.

Marion (Pauline) Harmon Hoffman

81, Lincoln, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Pauline was born icon on June 27, 1929 to Cleo and Mildred (Sims) Harmon in Trumbull, Nebraska. She graduated from UNL with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and worked for Harrington Reality and ACTON. She was a long time active member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, participating in leadership and guilds. Her community activities included Sigma Kappa, Daughters of the Nile, Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, Jobs Daughters and TTT.

Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Roper and Sons

Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday (9-27-10) St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 2325 South 24th Street. Fr. Craig Gavin officiating.

Cemetery: 4:00 p.m. burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Trumbull, Nebraska.
