Casper "C.J., Cap, Bud" Theisen Jr.

85 years old, of Omaha, passed to be with the Lord on Monday, September 27th, 2010 in Omaha. He was born icon and raised in Osmond, Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska receiving a degree in Civil Engineering and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II, stationed at the Brooklyn Naval Yard in New York City, former member of the American Legion. He was the President of Theisen Bros. Construction Company, founded by his father, Casper Theisen, Sr.. He served on several committees in the construction industry including two terms as President of the Nebraska AGC, Highway Chapter. He was also actively involved in Westside Church and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, both of Omaha.

Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Roper and Sons

Service: Private Graveside Service Thursday (9-30-10) Calvary Cemetery, 145 South 4Oth Street. Abbot Michael Liebl officiating.

Family Gathering: Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Memorials: Memorials to Mt. Michael Benedictine School, 22520 Mt. Michael Rd., Elkhorn, NE 68002.

Cap is survived by his children, Mark Theisen, Omaha, John Theisen, Norfolk, NE, Ginger Theisen of New York, N.Y. and their Mother, Jean Theisen, Omaha, NE. and his grandchildren, Nolan, Ben, John Richard, Andrew, Angel and her husband Matt Stottle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Casper and Anne Theisen, brother John “Babe” Theisen and sister Lucretia “Sis” Clayton, and daughter Diane E. Theisen.

Norma Jean Wieckhorst

of Lincoln, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 in Lincoln. She was born icon July 3, 1921 to Ernest and Lena (Frerichs) Neubauer of Paul, Nebraska. She was a graduate of Dunbar High School and Peru State College, earning her graduate degrees from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She was a teacher at the Nebraska City Public Schools for many years, retiring in 1986. She married Robert Wieckhorst of Nebraska City on May 26, 1947. They had one daughter, Roma, who resides in Lincoln. Norma’s husband died on November 10, 1992. Four years later, Norma moved to her new home in Lincoln, Nebraska where she resided until her death. She was a life long member of the Lutheran Church in Nebraska City, past president of Tau Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, life member of the National and State Retired Teachers’ Education Association; member of the Queen Esther Chapter #1, Order of the Eastern Star in Nebraska City.

Visitation: No Viewing/Cremation

Service: Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday (10-2-10) First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 315 South 16th Street, Nebraska City, NE. Pastor Marsha C. Anderson officiating.

Cemetery: Private family graveside, Wyuka Cemetery, Nebraska City.

Memorials: Memorials to the family for future designation.

She is survived by her daughter, Roma, Lincoln; a sister, Mary Edus Wurtele and husband Joy, Nebraska City; sister-in-law, Doris Neubauer, Dunbar, and several nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, and one brother, Ernest, Jr.

Donald A. McCormick

78, Lincoln, passed away Tuesday (9-28-10). Born (2-7-32) in Rogers, Arkansas to Ross D. and Evelyn M. (West) McCormick. Employed by American Stores for 27 years. U.S. Navy Korean Conflict Veteran. Member: Calvary Lutheran Church, V.F.W. Enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with his grandsons.

Service: Celebration of Donald’s Life will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2788 Franklin St. on Friday (10-1-10) at 4:00 p.m.

Robert Morrison

78, Lincoln, died Sunday (9-19-10). Born (9-29-31) to George and Opal M. (Tice) Morrison.

Service: Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m. Friday (10-1-10) Wyuka Cemetery, 3600 ‘O’ Street. Those attending please meet at the ‘O’ Street entrance.

Preceded in death by parents and sister Georgia Ann Hohl.

101, Lincoln, NE, died Thursday (9-30-10). Born (2-22-1909) in Center, Nebraska to Albert and Ethel (Wright) Halvorsen. Homemaker. Worked at Williams Nursery in Lincoln. Loved gardening, canning, crocheting, camping in the mountains and traveling.

Marjorie Anne Dickman

92, of Lincoln died peacefully at her home on Monday, October 4, 2010. She was born icon November 8, 1917 in Rahway, New Jersey to Frederick and Florence Misch. Marjorie married Robert Edward Dickman on July 3, 1938. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1936 and attended the University of Nebraska where she was affiliated with Alpha Pi Sorority. Marjorie returned to Lincoln in 1983 after her husband’s death in Fullerton, California where they had lived for thirty years.

Visitation: No Viewing/Cremation

Service: A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Cemetery: Private burial at Lincoln Memorial Park, 6700 S. 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Enjoyed quilting, NASCAR, sewing, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
