May 17, 1923, to Blonnie and Ora Wiggs in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. Kathleen was the Assistant Director of the Learning Resource Center at Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas for 25 years, retiring in 1996.

Jerome Everard Lyon
96, went home to his Savior and Lord on Monday, November 8, 2010. Born June 8, 1914 to Amos Hardesty and Lillian Edith (Foulke) Lyon in Fall River, Kanas. Jerome attended Charleston Grade School and graduated from Fall River High School. He grew up on a farm during the depression; loved his horses and hunting dogs. married Iris Annette Lindamood on June 25, 1939. To this union three sons were born: Dennis, Philip and Terry. The couple raised their children and lived a majority of their lives in Havelock. Jerome trained in sheet metal work in Swallow Aircraft in Wichita and taught aircraft sheetmetal at Milford Trade School; was a foreman at Glenn L. Martin Aircraft in Omaha where they build B-29’s (including the Enola Gay) during WWII. Moved to Lincoln after the war when Jerry took a position at Elgin Watch Company; later took a position as head of the sheetmetal department with the University of Nebraska physical plant. He worked there till his retirement in 1979. Jerome was a devoted husband and father, gardener, fisherman, and always creating something from metal or wood. After retirement, Jerome and Iris traveled extensively from California to Bangor, Maine; Alaska to Florida.
