Service: Graveside Service: 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, (11-24-10) at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Nancy Flader officiating. Memorial service to be held in the spring.

Family Gathering: No family gathering is scheduled.

Cemetery: Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Memorials: Memorials in lieu of flowers to Bryan Alumni Scholarship Fund or Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by parents, husband, Elton; son, Paul; sister, Ruby; brother-in-law, J. Carl Claassen.

Joanne B. (Nowicki) Easley

70, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, November 23rd at home with all of her family, after battling cancer. Born on January 17, 1940 in Gary, IN to Matthew and Harriet Nowicki. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, South Bend, IN and Saint Mary College, Notre Dame, IN. married December 30th 1961, to George Easley, at Christ the King Church in South Bend, IN.

Visitation: Visitation will be at Cathedral of the Risen Christ from 6:00pm -8:00pm on Friday, November 26th.

Service: Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, (11-27-10) at Cathedral of the Risen Christ Catholic Church, 3500 Sheridan Blvd., Lincoln.

Family Gathering: Rosary: 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 26th at Cathedral of the Risen Christ.

Cemetery: Christian Burial: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (11-27-10) at Calvary Cemetery, 40th and 'O' Streets, Lincoln.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the St. Elizabeth Foundation or the Pius X Foundation.

Joanne is survived by her husband of 49 years, George, and their twelve children; Barbara and Tim Isaacs, Teresa and Jim Hansen, Jeanne and Barry Johnson, Margo and Pete Gallagher, Georgia and Brad Blumenstock, Ed and Tiffany Easley, Matthew Easley, Carmen and Ernesto Sanchez, Maggie and Steve Kane, Anne and Matthew Thomas, David and Bridget Easley, Joseph and Sally Easley, and their 30 grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Kathryn, and parents.

Joanne was a past President of the St. Teresa's Altar Society, a Life Master of Lincoln Duplicate Bridge Club, a member of Pius X Diversity Committee, honored with the 2010 Jean Marshall Ladies Golf Award at The Country Club of Lincoln, founding and longest member of the Royal Bowling League, and 31 years of Perpetual Adoration at Cathedral of the Risen Christ.

Richard L. Pierson

74, Lincoln, died Saturday (11-27-10). Born (9-19-36) in Wenatchee, Washington to Glenn and Juanita (Sneller) Pierson. Novartis employee 25 + years. U. S. Navy Korean Conflict veteran. Member: V.F.W.

Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Roper and Sons and one hour prior to service time

Service: 1:30 p.m. Friday (12-3-10) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Pastor Peter N. Eppens officiating.

Family Gathering: Family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Cemetery: Cremation to follow funeral service

Memorials: Memorials to the family for future designation.

Freda R. Bancroft

94, Lincoln, died Tuesday (3-15-11). Born (7-1-16) in Marysville, Kansas. Freda loved selling Avon in which she did for over 40 years. Member: Beta Sigma Phi. Graduate of Marysville High School.

Visitation: 4:00 p.m. Thursday until service time on Friday, funeral home.

Service: 2:30 p.m. Friday (3-18-11) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Rev. James David, officiating.

Dorothy M. Magorian

Dorothy M. Magorian, 90, widow of Maurice “Jack” Magorian, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday (1-28-09) at Tabitha Health Care Hospice Unit. She was born icon to Leroy and Bessie (Vandenburg) Gorthey (11-20-18) on their farm near Murdock, NE, where she grew up and went to school. She graduated from Murdock High School in 1936. She attended Peru State Teacher’s College and graduated in 1938. She began her teaching career at Manley, NE for one year and then moved on to teach in Palisade, NE. She met her future husband “Jack” in Palisade and they were married at her parent’s farm near Murdock, NE on June 30, 1941. She left her teaching job when she was married. During WWII when “Jack” was in the service, she returned to Murdock and taught during the war. She was blessed with 5 children. Dorothy was a big fan of Nebraska football and attended many games. She also was a big fan of KC Royals baseball. She liked to bowl on the housewives league, and to play Bridge with her friends and family. She was always making mittens, hats, baby blankets, afghans and doilies with her crocheting and knitting. She was a longtime member of more than 60 years at Warren United Methodist Church and was a member of Ruth Circle.

Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Sunday with family greeting friends from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.

Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday (2-2-09) Warren United Methodist Church, 1205 North 45th Street. Rev. Richard Haden officiating.

Cemetery: Burial in Wabash Cemetery.

Memorials: Memorials to Ruth Circle’s ministries at Warren United Methodist Church.

67, Lincoln, died Sunday, (1-1-12). Born 1-4-44 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Victor and Hazel (Zeelau) Perrault. Retired teacher at Helen Hyatt Elementary school for 38 years. Part-time employee: Adventist Book Center. Member: College View Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Service: Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday,(1-12-12) at College View Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4801 Prescott Ave.
