Anna Marie Longmore
SARGENT -- Anna Marie Longmore, 94, of Sargent died Thursday, June 15, 2000, at the Sargent Nursing Center in Sargent.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rhoad Funeral Chapel in Sargent. The Rev. Bill Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Sargent.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Sargent Ambulance Fund.
Mrs. Longmore was born
April 19, 1906, to F. W. T. and Flora A. (Cole) Cropper in Dalton, Mo. They moved to Sargent when she was young and she attended school in Sargent.
She graduated from Sargent High School in 1924.
She went to Oklahoma and received a teaching certificate. She taught for four years.
She married Irvin Longmore May 20, 1929, in Hanover, Kan. They lived in Callaway until 1937, when they moved to Sargent. The couple lived most of their married life northwest of Sargent until they retired and bought a house in Sargent in 1976.
She had been under nursing care for the last three years.
She was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association, attended the Methodist Church and taught school for a number of years besides raising her family.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Myron of Melbourne, Fla.; a daughter, Margaret Jean Kinney of Sun Rise Beach, Mo.; six grandsons and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Claude; three sisters, Zada Cropper, Ruth Derr and Leta Ferris.
Donna Staal
KEY WEST, FLA. --Donna Jane Staal, 71, of Key West, Florida, formerly of Grand Island and Archer, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, at the Lower Keys Medical Center of Key West, Florida.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island. The Rev. Onamae Waddel will officiate.
Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation.
Mrs. Staal was born
on January 16, 1929, in Central City to Guy and Abbigale (Myers) Gilson. She grew up in the Fullerton and Wolbach communities, graduating from Fullerton High School.
She married Lafayette Staal on May 15, 1949. After their marriage the couple lived in Archer and Grand Island where she was a housewife.
After her husband's death she was employed by the Archer Public School System for sixteen years. In 1987 she moved from Grand Island to Texas and later moved to Key West, Florida. She was an avid gardener.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Mrs. Clay) Reed of Littleton, Colo., and Kathy (Mrs. Steve) Adams of Grand Island; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Gilson of Salt Lake City, Utah; and one sister, Phyllis Wegner of Archer.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and one infant son Kenneth.
'Dick' Miller
Charles R. "Dick" Miller, 82, of Grand Island, formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., and Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, died May 16, 2000, at Riverside Lodge.
Memorial services will be at a later date. Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
Mr. Miller was born
on Sept. 24, 1917, in Shakopee, Minn., to Peter and Harriet (Coons) Miller. He grew up in northern California.
He entered the U.S. Army in 1942, served during World War II and was discharged in 1947.
He married Dorothy Ordrop on April 28, 1942, in San Jose, Calif. She died on Feb. 16, 1999.
Mr. Miller was a member of Bella Vista Methodist Church in Bella Vista, Ark., and the Masonic and Scottish Rite temples.
Survivors include one daughter, Charla (Mrs. Steve Anderson) Miller of Grand Island; one sister, Dorothy Roseblade of Aptos, Calif.; and one brother, Robert Miller of Lady Lake, Fla.
Frances Noe
Myrtle Frances Noe, 85, of Grand Island died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at BryanLGH Medical Center East in Lincoln.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Dixon with the Rev. Nancy Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery in Allen.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Tuesday at the church.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Regency Retirement Residence in Grand Island.
Schumacher-Hasemann Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Noe was born
on Jan. 14, 1915, at Newcastle to Frank and Gertrude (Gould) Armstrong. She graduated from Ponca High School in 1933 and attended Wayne State College. She then taught at rural schools in Dixon and Cedar County.
She married Leslie Noe on Aug. 16, 1939, in Ponca. The couple lived on a farm in Dixon County. She taught in Dixon and Cedar counties and at Martinsburg. The couple left the farm and moved to Grand Island in 1996.
Mrs. Noe was a 50-year member of the Dixon United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and was active in the Women's Society of Christian Service. She was also active in the Women's Auxiliary of Gideons International.
She enjoyed playing the piano and attending her grandchildren's musical school performances.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Lynette (Mrs. Ted) Lawson of Waco, Texas, and Joelyn (Mrs. Michael) Malone of St. Louis Park, Minn.; two sons, Verdel Noe of Grand Island and Paul Noe of Waco, Texas; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Genevieve Frerichs of Enumclaw, Wash., and Madonna (Mrs. Frank) Randolph of Tarzana, Calif.; and two brothers, LeRoy K. Armstrong of Salt Lake City and Ross Armstrong of Ponca.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Elaine Frances; an infant brother, Marvin Paul Armstrong; and a sister, Ruth Lentz.
Marge Wolfe
Marge E. Wolfe, 68, of Grand Island died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. C. Roger Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 4 to 5 p.m., Wednesday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Hospice or St. Francis Cancer Treatment Center.
Florence Bamesberger
HAMPTON -- Florence Bamesberger, 87, of Hampton died Monday, May 22, 2000, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Hampton. The Rev. George E. Damm will officiate. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora.
Mrs. Bamesberger was born
on Dec. 31, 1912, in Hamilton County near Polk to Henry and Emma (Otto) Stettner. She attended Zion's North School. She then moved to York to serve as a housekeeper for several families.
She married Harold Bamesberger on Nov. 22, 1942, at York. They farmed southeast of Hampton until 1960. They later moved to Hampton, where she worked for Hampton Parochial School for seven years. She then worked at Jack's Café until she retired in 1970.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid and several card clubs.
Survivors include her husband; one son, William of Henderson; one daughter, Barbara (Mrs. James) Porter of Harvard; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Harold Hilder
CENTRAL CITY -- Harold R. Hilder, 86, of Central City died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Solt Funeral Home in Central City with the Rev. Debra Tompsett-Welch officiating. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hilder was born
in Wymore to George G. and Winifred B. (Roberts) Hilder. He graduated from Wymore High School in 1938.
After graduation, he worked for an Allis Chalmers implement dealer in Lincoln and later for an Oliver plant in Charles City, Iowa, for 12 years.
He married Alice L. Brucker on Jan. 1, 1939. They moved in 1950 to Central City, where he worked at Hilder Implement until he retired in 1979.
He enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Bob Hilder of Central City; one daughter, Lorraine (Mrs. Lawrence) Barnes of Grand Island; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Hilder of Central City; and one sister, Esther Fritz of Campbell, Calif.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth G. Hilder in 1984; two daughters, Betty Ann Rutherford in 1977 and Patty J. Steele in 1996; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
Charles Vetick
FULLERTON -- Charles S. Vetick, 92, of Fullerton died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Beverly Healthcare in Fullerton.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fullerton with the Rev. Don Cleary officiating. Burial will be in the Fullerton Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with a Scripture service and rosary at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday at Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton.
Mr. Vetick was born
on April 2, 1908, in Nance County to John and Mary (Garbotz) Vetick. He grew up and attended country schools in Krakow.
He married Cecilia Sliva on Feb. 12, 1934, in Cedar Rapids. They lived south and west of Fullerton, where they farmed until 1969, when they retired and moved to town. Mrs. Vetick died on Nov. 7, 1992. Mr. Vetick moved to Beverly Healthcare on Oct. 5, 1999.
He was a member of the Holy Name and St. Peter's Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing cards, farming and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include one son, Gene of Fullerton; one daughter, Rita (Mrs. Larry) Beller of Lindsay; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Clifford and Leonard; one grandson; seven brothers, Adam, Pete, Casey, Edmund, Carl, Ray and Mike; and five sisters, Donna Shepoka, Barbara Boro, Frances Sliva, Lilian Uzendoski and Isabel Ziemba.
